The hummus plate was really good especially with falafel. It's alsoba small place, and seating is kind of tight, especially at the counter. Our server wasn't the friendliest either.

Some Israeli salad with miniscule chicken over white rice. Might as well order halal

Uber eats order- I'm not blaming the delivery man. I'm blaming the restaurant. In Israeli culture, a shawarma platter means it will be stuffed to death especially at the prices queen charges. Now my platter came with (no pita that's extra!) what a joke, but it did come with a heaping helping of white rice. Not Israeli nor middle eastern. Chicken at the minimum. Oh you want tahini? Extra. Two shawarma platters, one shawarma sandwich after Uber's uber discount $50. And I'm standing over white rice. ?

Happened to be in the area and stopped by on a whim. This restaurant is tiny and can get busy. I will say I got lucky that I showed up without a reservation and was able to get the last table. Service is kind and quick. The restaurant is beautifully decorated. The food: wow everything was delicious! I happened to try the hot chocolate and it was good. It's different, has a mild kick and isn't as sweet but it's good. It's not to typical hot chocolate. Not pictured is the lemonade which was refreshing!

The food here is so so good!! You can certainly taste the quality, and the freshness of the ingredients. The service was stellar, quick and very accommodating. I loved the Moroccan inspired decor. The vibe, was so authentic, and I loved the wall decor and lighting accents. The outdoor seating was also very awesome!! Great spot to enjoy the views of a super busy Saturday night.

My partner and I stopped here before catching a show at Brooklyn Made, and we were both very impressed by the quality, quantity, and level of flavor of the food we got! We ended up splitting the chicken shawarma plate and a labne, and the pita that came on the side was soooo good that we had to order another one. The service was fast and friendly - and very comfortable seating inside (plenty of space between tables). Glad we now have another great food option in Bushwick - will be back again!

Just dropped by this spot and here's the lowdown: First off, the Fresh Mint Lemonade was a miss--totally watered down and lacking that fresh zing. But the Veltins Pilsner? Nice and crisp, reminiscent of a Modelo. Perfect for a chill evening. Now, let's talk food. The Hummus here is hands down the BEST I've had in a long time! That savory green herbs swirl? Absolutely divine. This plate is served with 2 pita breads but the garbanzo bean spread in it was so delicious by itself, that I ditched the pita bread and ate it with my fork. The Queen Burger was decent, but it could've used a bit more aioli to up the juiciness. The patty was thick and tasty, though those "crispy onions" were a letdown--soggy and tough, like sad onion skin. The fries were a tad over-salted and seemed double fried, but they were thin and flavorful, just how I like them. The real star? The Chicken Shawarma Plate. Wow. This dish is a game-changer. The chicken was so well-seasoned and tender it practically melted in my mouth. Paired with an Israeli salad, jasmine rice and a drizzle of mouthwatering tahini sauce, this plate is a winner. You can't go wrong with this one--great portion size too. Service was stellar--attentive and accommodating. We walked in without reservations and were seated immediately. The ambiance? Laid-back, dimly lit, with a small dining area and bar. Plus, you'll see lots of interesting people walking in.

A friend suggested this restaurant to us so we tried it out. The space is cute and pretty small. Def a brooklyn vibe. I ordered the hummus and side of pickles. Together the dish was good. The hummus did need salt, but once that was added that elevated the taste. It was good hummus, but it could of had a little more flavor. I had to add more green sauce, olive oil and salt...was pretty bland when arrived. I also wish they warmed the pita that would have also made a difference. I was hoping for a home made pita. Tried my friends chicken schnitzel it was really dry and under seasoned. He liked it...I thought it was lacking flavor. The service was okay. It's small so it's easy to get the waitress attention. The waitress said she was new so she didn't know a lot of the items but maybe after a few weeks if I go back she may have some suggestions.

Good tasting Mediterranean food on Starr and Wycoff. Lots of options on the menu. Everyone in our group really loved their meals.

Lovely restaurant, kind of small and intimate inside. We were able to walk in with no reservation. Our server was Roy who was very attentive and personable! The food was delicious. Not sure how long they've been open but would not hesitate to come back. Hummus was so good, we had to order a few extra pita. The chicken shawarma was also great-I do wish there was more chicken though as I felt like the other parts of the dish were over served.

Queen can be called a hole in the wall, but if you walk by this restaurant on any Sunday you can see tables full of friends getting together for brunch. It's immediately off the L on Jefferson St, making it a super convenient location! I went to Queen for my birthday because it was pouring out and had great reviews. I was not in love with my dish - Israeli Spinach & Cheese Puff Pastry. Though I have to admit I visited Israel last summer and wasn't obsessed with the food, so it might just not be the cuisine for me. My boyfriend on the other hand ordered the Chicken Shawarma and looooooved it. When I tried his food, I loved it too. Would definitely go back and try some other dishes, particularly the shakshuka Wish I remembered the cocktail I ordered because it was super tasty too!

We decided to visit Queens on the weekend for lunch and were pleasantly surprised by the quaintness of our experience. We walked in without making a reservation and were seated immediately. During busier periods (e.g. dinner) I'd suggest making a reservation. When it came time to order I chose the schnitzel. The plate itself was larger than I expected which made me feel I got value with the choice. The staff here was attentive but service was slightly slow given how busy the restaurant was. I'd come here with a friend or date for a casual dining experience in Bushwick.

I had a skin contact wine while my partner had the jungle bird cocktail which was INCREDIBLE. We then shared the sardine dish, which was served on fresh, crunchy sourdough covered in smooth, melt in your mouth ricotta, and the tuna crudo, which left us feeling full yet refreshed. The olive oil in this dish was the unexpected star, adding a rich yet not overpowering element to the fresh vegetables and tuna. The white rice was also extremely fluffy and moist and judging by the diligent rice-washing that was taking place behind the counter as we ate, I could tell that the staff really works hard to make it not just an afterthought, but a quality addition to the meal. My sister also really enjoyed her shrimp plate while my husband devoured his half-chicken platter. When I tried it, the overall taste was nutty and mushroom-forward. Does it taste like beef? Not really. It's more like a lightly seasoned, spongy mushroom patty with hints of the creamy cashew "cheese" and dressing. The burger is a bit messy and tends to fall apart, so you'll want to eat it over something or wrap it in plastic or parchment. Alternatively, you can order it as a wrap, including a gluten-free option for just $1 more. Honestly, I think the wrap might be the better choice over the burger bun. I also tried the chili, which had a distinct split pea flavor with plenty of beans and a nutty undertone. The potato salad was creamy, made with diced potatoes that were lightly seasoned. It wasn't particularly memorable, but it was fine. Overall, for $13, the meal was decent. I don't approach vegan food expecting it to mimic fast food; I look for quality and originality, and this place offers something that's passable. The vibe is very indie and hipster, with a sense that they put care and spirit into their food. I've walked past this place before--I even visited once with my sister to try the cornbread and chili, which were okay--so I figured I'd stop in again. The location has charm, but the food didn't leave a lasting impression. It's good for what it is, and I appreciate the effort, but nothing really stood out. I've read other reviews saying the quality was better pre-COVID, though I can't speak to that since I never ate here before the pandemic. If that's true, it makes sense. Would I come back? Maybe, but probably not on a budget. For what it is, though, it's worth trying if you're curious.

Looking for a carnival themed island vibe with great cocktails and authentic Caribbean cuisine,…read morecome to Savannah Spiced located in Brooklyn Here's what we had Drinks Sorrel Punch - The Sorrel Punch is a smooth, creamy cocktail that puts a Caribbean twist on the classic frozen piña colada. Instead of pineapple, it features the bold, tangy flavor of sorrel. Blended with coconut cream and rum, it's rich, refreshing, and full of island flavor. Def a fave and it tastes as good as it looks! Sexy lady - The Sexy Lady is a light but strong fruity cocktail that mixes the fresh taste similar to a lychee martini with the sweet, floral flavor of elderflower and juicy tropical fruits. It's smooth, fun, and a little flirty. We enjoyed this so much that we found ourselves guessing the ingredients! Sweet chili wings and Oreo waffle- The waffle batter was rich and delicious, with that classic cookies-and-cream taste shining through. I just wish it had been a bit crispier and more golden brown--that's my personal preference. Still, the flavor was on point. The wings were the real star perfectly cooked with a sweet, tangy, and spicy glaze that hit all the right notes. Altogether, it was a fun and tasty twist on sweet and savory. Chicken and Birthday Cake Waffle- The waffle had a sweet, cake-like taste with colorful sprinkles mixed in, and the batter was really tasty. I do wish it had been a bit crispier and more browned to give it that perfect texture, but the flavor made up for it. The fried chicken on top was juicy and well-seasoned, adding a savory balance to the sweet waffle. Overall, it was a creative and satisfying take on a classic sweet-and-savory combo. Appetizer Jerk wings- Hands down the favorite of the meal. They were packed with bold flavor--spicy, savory, and just the right amount of heat. The seasoning was spot on and the wings were cooked to the perfect texture. Every bite was juicy, flavorful, and left you wanting more. A true standout. We also can't forget the special sauce on the side--creamy and slightly sweet, it paired nicely with the wings and helped balance the heat. That said, the wings were so flavorful on their own, they didn't even need it. Entrees The Calypso Shrimp- Was beautifully presented as a standout dish. The shrimp were perfectly cooked, juicy, and coated in a sweet and spicy secret sauce that had just the right kick paired with creamy garlic mashed potatoes. It wasn't a fave but the presentation made up for it! Oxtail Low Mein - Beautifully plated in an abstract bowl. The Oxtail Lo Mein was a flavorful fusion dish that delivered more heat than I expected--but in a good way. The noodles were coated in a rich, savory brown sauce, and the oxtail was incredibly tender, falling off the bone. Each bite was packed with bold flavors, especially the deep notes of ginger and soy. The spice gave it an extra kick, making it a comforting yet exciting twist on classic lo mein.

It wasn't super busy, but I believe the staff on hand are always attentive, pleasant and welcoming. The food is Trini-Guyanese inspired and delicious. My daughter and ex ordered the oxtail dinner, which they very much enjoyed. I had a little taste and very much enjoyed the flavors. The portion was good and filling. I ordered the Jab Jab pasta with shrimp and was very happy that it wasn't dry. The spice in the cream sauce was slight but good. I was very hungry, so I sadly did not have a to-go plate. To demonstrate the high level of attentiveness from the staff, we never announced that we were celebrating a birthday, but they came out with a slice of yummy cheesecake (and I don't like cheesecake) for my baby girl. I plan to visit when it's warmer, so I can enjoy the backyard space.
