Little Grenjai is so bomb!! It's a Thai fusion diner concept in BedStuy. I was in the area for the day and so happy I finally got to eat here..it's been on my list forever. First of, the service is beyond great. They were very attentive and accommodating. They remembered small notes about our dining preferences and followed up about it later on to see if everything was ok. But also just great attitude and very welcoming! We shared a few plates: 1. Chicken Peek Gai Tod Crispy Thai Wings 10/10 the texture is perfect and flavors were amazing. Not super greasy. 2. Coconut Shrimp 7/10 nothing really wrong with it, I'm just not a fan of coconut and shrimp together. My friends really liked it though! 3. Fries 7/10 a little mushy.. I'm not a fan of this shape for fries. I also ordered a single patty Krapow smash burger 10/10 and I wish I got a double!! It was SO GOOD!! All the flavors perfectly blending to give slight heat. Obsessed. (I recently had the Golden diner burger and I think this one is much much better). Thai tea cake for dessert. 10/10. Not too sweet, light texture. My friend said she wants it as her birthday cake. We inquired and indeed you can order the full cake for from them!

Looks like a deli from the outside, with classic diner vibes on the inside. We tried two things - the burger and wings! The burger really tasted like ka prow in burger format, I enjoyed it very much. The wings were also very flavorful with thai flavors. Though, it seemed like they were 'reheated' from earlier and flavors coated on - not made to order (? fried). That was a little disappointing.

Customer service was outstanding. Food was good. The ambiance was nice as well. I would definitely come back when the opportunity comes.

After a tiring day of traveling from the West Coast, I needed nourishment. My friend had been wanting to try Little Grenjai, so that's where we went. However, the item he looked at was on their lunch menu. Their dinner menu had different items, but we were not disappointed. We started with the crispy rice salad, which I loved! I love sour flavors, so the fermented pork sausage was right up my alley. The lime dressing added spicy and citrus notes, while the peanuts, toasted coconuts, and crispy rice added a wonderful crunch. The Thai arancini ball added a different textural sensation of crispness. I just wish the dish was bigger because I could probably eat their entire stock of it. As our main, we got the fried chicken dinner. I love fried chicken, and the Thai flavors made theirs unique. My friend was allergic to one of the ingredients in the salad that comes with the chicken, so we were able to substitute it with more crispy rice salad. So that made me very happy. And I loved the tamarind dipping sauce, that added a sweet tanginess to the fried chicken. Service was excellent! The staff was very helpful in explaining their concept and menu. The space is tight and lively. We sat at the bar, but I feel like you can easily strike up a conversation with the table next to you. I would totally come back here again when I'm Bed-Stuy.

This place is charming - it's the first Asian fusion diner style restaurant I have been. They must be going for a fast casual diner experience. They either had the food already made or the staffs are just really efficient. We ordered the peek gai tod wings and the krapow smash burger. The wings came out within 2 minutes of ordering and the burger came pretty quick as well. Regardless of when the food was made, it still tasted delicious! The flavor profile was well balanced. We visited during lunch hours, I think they have a separate menu for dinner. I would recommend giving this place a try.

Single Krapow smash burger with fried duck egg & Thai iced tea

Came by for lunch on a Thursday at 12:30pm. Upon entering, there's a diner-esque vibe, you order first at the register and take a number card and sit wherever you want. I got the Thai iced tea which was perfect (not too sweet) and the single krapow smash burger with fried duck egg. I feel like the burger was delicious but definitely not the number one I've had. Maybe it could've been cheesier or the sauce/chili flavor could have made more of impact. Nonetheless, good fast casual food.

The inside gives diner vibes. You order in the front, and get a number. From there, you can seat yourself either at a table or on a barstool. The food itself was super flavorful and delicious. It does have a spicy kick but it wasn't as bad as I thought it'd be. I felt it but my tongue wasn't burning or anything. That said, if you are intolerant to spice, it might be advisable to ask them to lower the spice levels. Overall, I'd definitely come back for other things as everything looked pretty good.

Smash burger was worth the hype and drunken noodles were great too. Not sure about the crispy pork belly however - meat was good but the crispy skin part was hard to cut into/separate. Thai iced tea was also just ok, can be skipped. Love the casual counter style service for lunch

Food packs a lot more flavor than it appears! The minced pork with rice was my favorite of the night and is a comforting, savory meal. Love the interior. Nailed the homey diner concept with a Thai twist. I would recommend this restaurant mainly for vibes and ambiance purposes as opposed to food purposes. Service is spectacular. Very patient and accommodating.

A cozy spot with wonderful service and yummy food! We ordered the crispy rice salad, pad thai, massaman short rib and sticky rice sundae. tl;dr: Crispy rice salad - yes Massaman short rib - yes Pad Thai - no Sticky rice sundae - yes My favorite was definitely the short rib and we saw a lot of short rib orders being made that night (we sat at the counter which looks directly into the kitchen). Crispy rice salad was delicious as well. I was most looking forward to the pad Thai because it was so hyped on the website, but it wasn't my favorite. The noodle texture was a soft and sauced pad thai, but the other ingredients got lost in the noodles and sauce so you couldn't really taste or distinguish them. I felt there was only one wet/soft texture and one predominant flavor. If you're picking carbs, I'd suggest the crab fried rice instead -- we saw a lot being prepared and it looked good. The sundae was tasty and different because of the sticky rice flavor and salted peanuts -- that gave it nice varying textures and tastes. However, it was not my personal favorite but it was very good. It was tough not comparing it to Thai Diner's coconut sundae (though they're different) because I recently had it. My companion loved it. Little Grenjai's service was lovely and I'm eager to go back for the burger.

WOW. My husband and I were in NYC for seven days for vacation from CA- hubs lived in NY for 8 years and we were staying with friends in Bed Stuy... I work at a 2 Michelin star restaurant in NorCal and we dined at several starred restaurants in the city and we both agreed our dinner at Little Grenjai was our favorite meal of the trip! It's cute and cramped (in the best way) we had a 4 top in the corner, perfect for us. Service was prompt and friendly. Drinks came fast. I ordered multiple small plates from the menu, 2 of the specials, crab rice and the short rib for mains. Honestly I wanted to order everything. Plates came out rapid fire one after the other, and we inhaled them. Flavors and textures were complex, spicy enough for me but not too spicy for more timid palates. I'd eat here weekly if I lived in NY. Little Grenjai- open an SF spot

Little Grenjai's Thai-styled smashburger caught my eye so came by for weekend brunch. It wasn't super busy on a Saturday afternoon around 2pm. We tried the smashburger with fries, and drunken noodles with cracklin pork belly. They were out of their Thai tea so didn't get to try. The smashburger wasn't too greasy with the pickled veggies and we enjoyed the blend of pork and beef. It was missing a bit more sauce imo, could've been a creamier sauce since it wasn't too greasy. Their drunken noodles are actually pretty spicy!!! They were on the greasy side but veryyyy well flavored. The cracklin pork belly was also crispy and yummy. I would recommend trying! It's pretty unique and the flavors are authentic (def with the spiciness).

I came here on a really busy Sunday, but we were the first to arrive and so we were seated immediately. They had a few outages that day, but they were able to work around it and give us other options for the dishes that we ordered. They were kind enough to make sure that we got reimbursed on the parts of the order that they could not fulfill And I will say that all the food that came out was really delicious. I especially really like the burger and the Matcha that I got. The space looks like a diner and service seems really fast and friendly, the owners are from the Neighbourhood and so they have a really good feel and vibe for the place and they also seem to welcome a lot of locals here. I definitely would recommend checking this place out.

Our group of 4 started with a bottle of Pinot Grigio and a few appetizers to share, namely: Som tum papaya salad and dumplings curry. For the main entree, my eyes caught the attention of clay pot mix-fried rice with shrimp, chicken, sweet sausage, and my partner chose shrimp pad thai. Nothing really stood out with the dishes; I found it to be a bit Americanized, having eaten in so many Thai restaurants around New York City. Overall, we enjoyed our dinner here; our food came in timely fashion, and the customer service is good as well, but it's probably not your place if you are seeking a more authentic Thai-style cooking.

They were absolutely packed despite the time. We ordered the pad see ew with shrimp, the crab fried rice (amazing), the Pak Mor which is a sweet and savory rice roll that comes with coconut cream dipping sauce (drool worthy), and last but not least the Kao Tom Haeng which also comes with a tasty broth on the side. I'd say that the pad see ew was the weakest dish of what we ordered but it was still tasty. I think it would have been nicer with a different protein, perhaps chicken or tofu. It was like a sprinkle of Thai on a classic tuna ceviche. Note the taro chips are a little thicker than a typical chip! The pork jowl wasn't as crispy as I expected but it was still flavorful and the portion size was huge, considering how it was an appetizer. The sweet fruit with the savory fish worked way better than I expected. · Pineapple Fried Rice - came with shrimp, nice wok aroma, and that perfect sweet-tangy pineapple kick. · Pineapple Lychee Crispy Duck (GF) - duck skin was nice and crispy, and the coconut-based sauce with lychee and pineapple kept it from feeling heavy or greasy. · Branzino Chili Lime (GF) - came out piping hot, classic Thai-style sour broth that paired perfectly with the fish. No fishy taste at all, and the texture was tender. Even the drinks and dessert weren't overly sweet, which was a pleasant surprise. Lunch in Brooklyn during in-between meetings of my professional duties of a Wednesday afternoon…read moresummons Thai cuisine. Pad Kee Mao (aka Drunken Noodles), chicken $15.00 Stir-fried flat rice noodle, bamboo shoots, garlic, basil, fresh chili, onion, carrot, string bean, bell pepper, long hot chili The flat rice noodle quantity was sufficient, but minimal and there were too much onion, insufficient string bean, two paucity pieces of carrot. I dislike bamboo shoot which is not a standard ingredient for this particular entrée. I think the bamboo shoot tainted this entrée. I am a traditionalist conservative which bean sprouts is a good substitute variation for bamboo shoot vegetable including string bean. This entrée is my favorite default and as a caveat, if any Thai restaurant or cafe do not offer on their menu I refuse entry to patronize. This entrée enticed my interest and embedded the lunch meal menu for the reasonable price. I personally despise and do not consume spicy hot foods, but occasionally consume mild or very mild in the smallest measurement of the Scoville scale which I specifically requested, but received medium hot spicy. The waitress forewarned me the intense heat level on the Scoville scale as Thai cultural spicy with two or more bird's eye chilies for a high level of spiciness. The spiciness of chili peppers were, in my opinion, medium spicy. Despite the intense medium heat spiciness, the stir-fried noodles lacked flavor with, tender chicken, minimal vegetables, and Thai basil in a bland taste. I wish I chosen shrimp as the protein. Pad Kee Mao sustained my hunger pangs and ate my fill. When eating Thai intense heat spicy foods, I visualize to think of the TV segment "Niall Horan & James Corden Take On Hot Wings" on "The Late Late Show with James Corden" in March, 2020. High heat spicy foods! Thai ice tea, large $3.00 This was a delight and neutralized the heat spiciness because it contains milk. It was served chilled in a large highball glass. My partner was running late, and even though the place is clearly very popular right now, they still accommodated us with a table. The staff explained every unfamiliar dish we asked about, always with a smile. I usually avoid the standard NYC Thai restaurant lineup of pad thai + generic curry situations and look for places that feel more regional and authentic. The menu here had a bunch of dishes I didn't recognize, which immediately made me excited. They even have a spice guide though the icons don't necessarily mean increasing spice levels. As I understood it, different symbols represent different types of heat. Three chili emojis and three meteor emojis may be equally spicy, but they hit differently. They recommended not to order the pad krapow nuer, and honestly, fair enough. Instead, we got the chicken khao soi, which was far better than versions I've had elsewhere - deeply flavorful, spicy, rich with umami. My partner was crying. I, meanwhile, was at "this is perfect and I'm having a great time." One Huge chunk of chicken cooked exactly right. Mix everything thoroughly before eating. Then came the kua kling which arrived with another warning. That dish became my personal challenge to impress the server, and apparently I succeeded because now they've promised that next time they won't discourage me from ordering the nuer. They kept refilling cabbage and cucumber for us to cool down from the heat. The kua kling itself was incredible. That dry curry heat was everything. It builds slowly, then suddenly punches you in the face - but alongside all that spice is an insane amount of flavor. They also recommended to order a non-spicy side dish to have a balanced meal and spice level, but we skipped it because it would've been too much food. Honestly, this is the kind of place where going with at least four people is ideal so you can try more dishes and balance the spice levels. And if you're unsure what to order, trust the servers - their recommendations were spot on. Also: really great ciders and beers. We were really happy with both choices. Overall, even though it's far from the city for me, I'd absolutely go back.

The restaurant is tiny, so be sure to make a reservation. As a lover of spicy food, the spiciness in the dishes really brought out such a great flavor. Since my friend didn't eat as spicy, we found a happy medium getting just slightly spicy dishes which were all fantastic. We ordered the Khao Soi ($33) and Pla Tod Nam Pla ($40). The khao soi wasn't too spicy, especially since the broth has a creaminess and the spicies are on the side before mixing, which you can exclude. The chicken was so tender, but did come with bone so this can be trickier to share. Then the pla tod really surprised me, but I can definitely see why it's the best seller. It is a fried branzino with a marinated fish sauce which goes so nicely with all the crunch. There are a few remaining pieces of bone, so be careful. The fish had a nice balance of fish meat and crunchy skin. If you're looking for a unique Thai spot, this is it. Also, perfect spot for spicy lovers too. They also offer a huge selection of alcohol.

Wait staff was attentive to dietary needs, exemptions and ensured our request was followed to a T. Ordered some Khao Kriab Pak Mor (dumplings) to start along with a pair of mocktails. And an order of Khao Na Ped (smoked vegan duck) and Ginger Chicken (vegan). All served well with good portion. What I personally liked is the 2 dishes took a bit, not slow or long but IMHO taking a little bit always seems it was cared for in prep. Who knows just my thing. The staff has a challenge to accommodate outdoor seating as the bldg doesn't have an inside/back door for them and they must carry food out the front door, down the sidewalk and into the garden area. That's tough but they do it with grace. The seating was okay since it's early enough but bugs showed up - no surprise - not a complaint just the reality of life and online typing in case anyone is considering it and is more sensitive to the same.

My first time here and it was a great experience. It is Valentine's Day and we left with a cute little gift from them, beautiful gesture. Definitely coming back :)
