My friends got chicken nachos and a breakfast burrito. The nachos were really good! And the breakfast burrito was huge and had a lot of different ingredients. There unfortunately aren't a lot of cool, quick lunch options for those of us who work in the industrial area along Lower Buckeye in the Aves. A coworker and I were wanting to try something different to celebrate the weekend but without having to go downtown. Yelp pointed us to Que Suave - a taqueria AND barbershop in a fairly non-descript part of south Phoenix. The barbershop came first, then as a result of COVID the family decided to expand into (delicious) tacos, among a few other menu items. There's not a lot of seating inside (maybe like 12 seats total), they also have some under their covered patio. Make sure you look up their online menu prices because they didn't appear to match the written menu prices in-store. The gal working was super nice, with whom I believe is her dad. Took a little time to get our food but we weren't in a rush, and good food takes time -- this isn't McD's!! The Mexican pizza is huge, enough that my coworker could only eat half. I ordered a taco platter (asada, pollo, al pastor, tripas) since they're street-size. The clear winner was... tripas! Theirs was the perfect mix of chewy and crispy- not too much of either. The green sauce that came with was definitely heated - a little goes a long way for my gringa mouth. Aguas frescas options were piña and horchata. When I asked for a lid for my small to-go cup, the gal noted they didn't have any so she gave me a large cup to go. I definitely appreciate the kindness. Delicious so much flavor We stumbled upon this little gem of a restaurant and I'm so glad we did. The staff were friendly and were very helpful while I was ordering. I was given some suggestions based on my preferences. On this visit we sampled a bit of everything , fries, wings, onion rings, tacos, and Sonoran hotdogs. Everything was fresh, made to order, served hot, and delicious. Our food was layered with flavors. The meats are lean and moist, the wings were crispy and meaty, onion rings perfectly crispy, and the Soniran dogs were sone I'd the best I've had. As delicious as the food is, the staff are absolutely amazing. The owners, treated us like we were family and made us feel welcomed. This place has it all, Great food, great service, great atmosphere. I would highly recommend this place and we will definitely be back. read more

The pastor and chicken tacos are fanulous and while we didnt get to try them, we hear the tripa is out of this world. The jugos are perfectly flavored without being too sweet. The sandilla is perfection. Abe and his wife Miriam know how to throw the on the grill, and that grill is not limitted to tacos. They have wings, quesadillas, sonoran dogs, and a hamburger comprised of hamburger, topped with hot dogs, ham, crunchy grilled cheese, green chilis, lettuce and tomato which is a tribute to Abe's uncle. I went there last week to grab some food because they had good reviews here but I have to say it didn't hit the spot like I thought it would. I got 4 tripas tacos 6/10 the meat was tender but lacked flavor and the tacos were lukewarm when I got home and i life 4 minutes away. I also got 13 wings 4/10. The sauce was really good however the wings were overcooked and dry. Couldn't make it past 3 or 4 of then. Also got. Tres leches cake and a side of rice both 7.5/10 they were good, edible but didn't wow me. Service is slow but friendly. And the interior is unique and decorated with little sayings in random places. Idk if I came on a bad day but I'm disappointed. I don't know if id try again. read more

Our first time back here since they changed ownership. I really like the new look inside. TLDR up front. I was close to giving this place five stars because the food was delicious and the service was outstanding. Now the details. I decided on a Sonoran hot dog and one pastor taco. My ma just ordered a hotdog. After taking our order they discovered the fryer wasn't heated up. So, we changed our order to 3 tacos for me (2 pastor, 1 asada), and 1 pastor for my mom. My mom really liked the pastor taco. She had one down the street two days ago and said this one was better. I too liked the pastor. It was tender and full of flavor. I found the asada to be very flavorful too, but just a little dry. Then, though we had changed our order, they brought us out two Sonoran hot dogs. Mom said she liked hers. I really liked mine. The dog itself had a ton of flavor. The bun was great, toasted crunchy and warm. The toppings, a little different than I'm used to on a Sonoran dog, were delicious. Next time I'll have them put extra mayo on. Being the first time I didn't know how much would be on their. Just my personal preference I like a bit more mayo on mine. Next time I'll have it dialed in to perfection. The only negative that's worth mentioning, the place seats about fifteen and there's a full on vinyl DJ setup blasting gangster rap. Rap really isn't my taste, but rap full of vulgar language really isn't my taste, nor my 80 yr old mother's taste either. Everyone else seem to be enjoying the music though. I guess I'm just getting old. My friends and I enjoyed Beastie Boys when we were in 5th grade, but they didn't have an F-bomb every third word... ‍ They did actually turn the volume down when we mentioned it. Summary: delicious food, above-and-beyond service. You should definitely try this place out and see how you think it stacks up with the other taco shops in the area. I am mad that we didn't get pictures but we smashed everything as soon as they would bring it out I took my family here for the first time and they said "you didn't tell us it was going to be this good." We tried their chorizo hot wings (you can't get 'em like this anywhere else!) sloppy bag con pollo (bombbb, iykyk, my tio said it was the perfect amount too.) the tacos de asada (my tia loved, said they were delicious) asada burritos (huge and anything with the asada is a dub) the Sonoran dogs (you can get these after the club bc they're open late too.
