Around twenty of us had a private room and enjoyed a buffet meal. The dishes included breads, a Caesar salad, three veggies (green beans, carrots, and broccoli), roasted potatoes, Fettuccine Bolognese, Penne A La Vodka, Eggplant Parm, and Chicken Marsala. There were pitchers of water, and soft drinks (regular and sugar free) on the tables. I didn't try everything, but I really enjoyed the Bolognese, Eggplant, and chicken. The chicken was especially good- nice and tender and loaded with mushrooms. The staff was wonderful, especially the helpful young lady who handled the buffet trays and accommodated special requests. I also noticed a gent came out from the kitchen to check on things. I don't know if he was the cook or an owner, but he was gracious and very professional. Have been coming here often and on for the past 15 years. Also frequented many private parties here. Feel the quality of the food has really gone down the past few times I've been here. Eggplant and their house salad are always amazing as is their bread. Tortellini is another A+. Pasta with vodka sauce is also pretty decent but everything else is eh. I find the chicken is pounded too thin and seems tough. Chicken franchise has no flavor. Pasta Bolognese tastes sour. read more

Haven't been here in a while so brought some friends for early dinner. Parties going on so quite noisy. Our waitress was simply amazing (found out she's the owners daughter). You better keep her on staff! Our food came out fast considering it was a full house with several parties going on We had a bottle of Pinot along with salads and meals. Mine was pumpkin ravioli with sage sauce and it was as delicious as I remember it The other 3 people also enjoyed their meals of chicken francaise, gnocchi etc. all delicious and served hot Ran out of a few things but that's to be expected on a super busy evening Glad to see this restaurant has survived the pandemic and is doing well read more

I don't like writing bad reviews but other people need to be warned. Do not host a party here. I booked a party about 6 weeks in advance. Was told I'd have a tv screen to play a picture montage, could bring my own DJ/play my own music. Could come an hour early to set up. Great. Booked it. Called a week before for the menu. No issues. Told me I'd have round tables for 8-9 people. Great I can make a seating chart now. Day before the party I get a phone call saying oh no there's a problem with your party! Someone else wanted your party room.... But don't worry we are giving you an even bigger room with private bathrooms and a private bar. Umm ok weird you gave my room away but thanks for the better one. See you tomorrow. Lies. It was all bold faced lies. I got there an hour before my party as discussed. They didn't know who I was or what room my party was in. Finally they told me the room, but it was still occupied by the ending of another party. Dirty dishes. Not cleaned or set up for me at all. Not only did I not get a private room. No private bathrooms. No video screen. No round tables. No private bar. None of it. I in fact was given HALF a room with a partition to block from other restaurant guests. And mind you, barely any time to set up for my party! An absolute nightmare. I was straight up lied to. I brought my own wine bottles and they handed me a wine bottle opener to open them myself. One of the meal choices ended up being awful. Frankly the party was embarrassing and then they tried to charge me gratuity on top of the corking fee LOL. For what? I opened my own bottles. Save yourself the stress. People spend time and money planning parties and for this to happen the day of is so unprofessional and unacceptable. read more

We ordered from the pizza menu (red book). I wanted to use the correct names of the food items but I don't see the red book menu on any of the order app sites. We ordered the arancini, pepperoni pizza (we could've eaten two- Sicilian specialty), and the potato & sausage pizza. I've always eaten pasta here, but the pizzas and arancini were all delicious. A bug crawled across our table Waiter killed the bug, we moved ourselves to another table but The food got cold because of the time it took to move and get settled . The manager didn't come over at all until the end we asked for him. He sauntered over with an attitude telling us bugs come in when they open the door. He offered coffee and dessert - no thanks. The food was inedible. Period. I was very hungry and it was late . Delivery service brought my food but 30 Minutes after it was promised. It was all cold, save for the salad which was warm and wilted. Was it their fault that the calamari smelled like old fish and the "pasta burrata" hand a small cold piece of rubberized "burrata" sitting on top of a disgusting and bad smelling mess of green pasta? It was actually nauseating, and, the fact that I was so terribly hungry by this time and still couldn't eat more than a bite, tells the story. Being it was Father's Day Eve yesterday, remarkably my partner and I got seated immediately without reservation for 2 peeps. Our server was Miriam and managed to order our appetizer of Risotto balls with crispy rolled rice balls in a vodka sauce to start and return with the rest of the order. These came out fast and were tastefully delicious. There was enough sauce to use the complimentary bread to clean off our plates. We waited a good 20 minutes before flagging our server for our entrees as she thought they were taken. It wasn't her fault as the restaurant was packed and she apologized. We decided on the Chicken Marsala with wild mushrooms, shallots, mashed potatoes, vegetables and Pasta e Burrata Spinach featuring linguini tossed seared pancetta, porcini mushrooms, cherry tomatoes, roasted garlic, white wine sauce and fresh burrata. The food was tasty, delicious and well seasoned. The burrata was very fresh. We even saved some room for desserts and got the Chocolate Matilda (Rich house made chocolate sponge cake,chocolate pearls, creamy chocolate frosting) and Tiramisu (homemade, creamy mascarpone , espresso raked lady fingers, cocoa powder. Both were rich but the chocolate cake was dry but the tiramisu was just right and creamy. Overall it was a very good dinner and would come back. read more

Secret jem. Where the real Italians go for italian food. I was there today everything was deliziosa! Rice Balls, Vodka Sauce, Homemade pasta Eggplant Rollatini, fresh bread, and the pumpkin ravioli were very very good. Our waitress was very sweet and professional. The restaurant and tables were very clean and restrooms also. While we were there the phone was ringing off the wall. This place is very popular for take out also....I can see why. Que Pasta is one of our very favorite eateries. Their Pizzaiolo, Gus, knows great pizza. It's what he does. We have worked our way through their whole menu and haven't come up with a clunker yet. So, when it was time to organize my future daughter-in-law's bridal shower, of course we went to Que Pasta. They have some lovely rooms...and the place is wayyy bigger than one would think. It's the first time we worked with their Catering Staff and they made the process super-simple. Starting with Gabe, who started talks, to the waitstaff headed by our server, Laura, who made sure everything was picture and taste-perfect. They give you a menu as a jump-off point, and I tailored it to fit the guests. They set the room up perfectly. Laura was there to lend a hand and give advice and she was truly on point. We had a separate entrance from the parking lot to the "South Room", which had its own bathrooms, which was a very nice accommodation. We had set up the dessert table, as the bride and groom have their own pastry shop #wishuponapastry so it looked really spectacular. The tables looked utterly lovely, and those folding doors as the backdrop to the floral circle was great for pics. Everyone loved the food and the service and the atmosphere, and we have Que Pasta to thank. So, a heartfelt thank you to the QP Team, who made a special event even more memorable. Que Pasta Italian Resturant is fairly large with two different seating sections and ample parking. I popped into the establishment on a Saturday afternoon after spending sometime at Garden State Plaza (GSP Mall) - it's only about a 10-15 minute ride. (avoid the food court and head over here instead!) My fiancé and I ordered Mozzarella Sticks as an appetizer - not my favorite. The cheese was stiff and not really as gooey as you'd want it to be. For our main we ordered the Penne Vodka and added in some breaded chicken - the dish was large enough for both of us to share and then some. I'm very particular about penne vodka and can taste when a restaurant is using store bought sauce, and I have to say I was extremely pleased with the flavoring and taste of Que Pasta's take on it! The waitstaff was very attentive and sociable answering all questions and making some fun recommendations. We will definitely be returning for the Penne Vodka and to sample out some other dishes! read more

This is a good Italian cozy restaurant. I came here on a Friday night with my boyfriend and we had a really great time. We started off with drinks and they were delicious and pretty! There is a full bar not just wine and beer as listed on here. My boyfriend ordered the bourbon smash and I got a French martini. For starters we ordered meatballs and the scallops special. The scallops were cooked perfectly and were so flavorful. As for entrees they are very reasonable with their portions. I ordered the cavatelli and broccoli and my boyfriend ordered the linguine marechiara. I thought my cavatelli could've used a bit more garlic because it was on the bland side. I ordered 6/23 broccoli rabe as soon as I took one bite I had to spit it out. The broccoli rabe was tough and was not cooked right. You can chew this broccoli rabe until you are grey in the face and fear that you would have to spit it out before you chock on it. Everything else is so in so. Another time I ordered fried calamari I suggest you go to Bone Fish Grill to get calamari to melt in your mouth because you will be chewing until the cows come home. Don't get me wrong the pasta is made there on the premises but other than this I am very upset and could not eat and enjoy my meal. read more

Service was also amazing. My only critique I have with this place is that when I hosted my grandmas 70th at this restaurant they spoiled the surprise as soon as I walked in with my Grandma. Moved to Saddle Brook 6 months ago and looked for the best local eateries. Que Pasta is my go-to for Italian food. I get takeout at least once or twice a week. Their Chicken Marsala is my favorite & one of the best things about it is that it comes with broccoli, carrots and potatoes. The veggies are perfectly cooked. Fried calamari is very good. Came here last night for a surprise birthday party and everything was fabulous! It was buffet style dinner with tons of options. The bruschetta was really tasty, I went back for seconds. The two salads they offered were great crisp and flavorful. For entrees there was a really nice chicken francese, a delicious eggplant parm and two types of pasta. I went for the penne vodka and it was so rich and creamy. There was also a side of veggies and potatoes that everyone raved about. I felt like the servers were super nice and attentive. The space itself was also very cute. It was a smaller room but still had a ton of personality. There's a huge parking lot and a ton of street parking. All of their dishes are great, the QP baked special is def my favorite though along with their fried calamari. Their homemade balsamic dressing on their house salad is amazing. And the owners along with the rest of their family and staff are always friendly and helpful. It's also a great place for parties, my family and I have hosted and been to more parties than I can count in each of the three party rooms over the years. The food and service has always been wonderful. One last thing, the take-out family specials are great for when we want QP but are being lazy and don't want to all trek out to the restaurant. Que Pasta is very convenient if you are visiting people at Kessler. We've had an opportunity to have many different things on different visits. You need to be careful about what you get, though. They are excellent for some things and not good to ok on others. Cappuccino: if there was a café around here, it would be a better choice than stopping in and waiting several minutes for one to be made here. But it was delicious (in the old school, tall glass, do you want cinnamon on it kind of way), for $4.21 at the bar. And it sure beats the institutional coffee in the Kessler café! Wood-fired margarita pizza: I haven't tasted it but my whole fam was raving about it and orders it frequently. Salmon Riviera: Salmon was well cooked, and the sautéed veggies it was topped with (sun-dried tomatoes, mushrooms, etc) were tasty. Mediterranean salad: this was nothing to write home about. It was huge for $7.95, but other than the feta and olives on top, the lettuce looked a little sad. I realized after that half of their salads have "romaine" and the others have "mixed greens." This was one of the "romaine" salads. I would rather have had spring mix with feta and olives on top - the chopped lettuce and tomatoes were bland and not farm-fresh. Grilled portabello appetizer: This was very tasty - but an absolute joke for almost $8. One mushroom, a tiny amount of spinach and two little pieces of red pepper. We laughed when we opened the takeout container. Not really cool. "Caponata": Stay away from this dish. I asked and thought it would be healthier than eggplant parm, but it was just heavier, soggier and grosser. It's hard to make me unhappy with eggplant, ricotta and tomato sauce, but it was fried, soggy, hulking, and the sauce was too sweet and acidic. Would not order again - no one on Yelp had ever mentioned it - someone had to be the brave one to try it and warn others away. It was a huge portion, though - LOL, but I would rather have a tiny portion of this and lots of the grilled portabello! Wine by the glass: Definitely iffy. I had two different glasses that just did not seem to have been stored well, or were very very cheap. Didn't want to finish them. $9 for a glass of not good chianti. It's impressive at first to see such a huge list of wines by the glass, but without high volume, they are sitting around opened for days, I gather. Other people in the family have enjoyed different pasta dishes. Raves on the Bolognese, and the Alfredo, and they are happy to customize them and put in veggies. Looks like I have found another kid-friendly restaurant to add to the list. Que Pasta is a huge place with multiple entrances. It also has a parking lot in the back. It has a casual decor and a pretty chill atmosphere. Our waiter was very patient with us as our baby decided to be fussy once we sat down. Eventually we got our starting bread basket. This bread was pretty good and came in handy when we wanted to lap up our sauces on our entrees. Speaking of entrees, mine was a chicken special - pollo di parma (or something like that). It was quite good! Picture proscuitto on chicken breast with kalamata olives, sweet peppers, and white wine sauce. All the flavors worked well together I enjoyed the sauce so much that I sopped up the extra sauce with the bread. I also sampled one seasonal drink, an apple caramel martini. I was concerned that it might be too sweet but it was well balanced. It was a $9 combination of vodka and apple cider with caramel drizzle. I also noticed a mix of crafts and domestics among the 6 or so taps. All in all a good choice for a casual night out! read more
