My father decided on Italian Food last minute this past Father's Day, so we ended up at Sergio's. Getting a reservation for 7 adults and a baby was pretty easy. The restaurant seems small from the outside but they've got a decent amount of space. The interior is dimly lit and I think describing it as 'intimate' is accurate. The dishes aren't family style but I ended up trying everyone's food anyway. Everything was delicious but my favorites were the carbonara and the mushroom ravioli. My dad loves linguini with clam sauce and he said Sergio's is really good. He usually doesn't finish what he orders, but this time he cleaned his plate. I ordered the chicken parmigiana and it was solid, but not amazing. After tasting everyone else's dishes I'd probably go for a different dish next time I come back. Service is friendly and quick. I'll be back.

Another delicious meal as I was taken here by a friend for my birthday. We shared the burrata appetizer which was a perfect amount for us along with an entrée. We both had Sergio's mushroom ravioli with the outstanding vodka sauce. The raviolis are large and filling. Amazing service and an incredible atmosphere.

Whether one's craving traditional Italian flavors or a Spanish twist, my partner, our friends, and I decided on this BYOB establishment located at a strip mall on Mercer Street in Lodi. A reservation was easily made on Open Table for 6 persons at 6:30 pm tonight.   Named after the former owner and self-trained chef, Sergio Mejia, the outside of Sergio's Missione looks like a storefront. However, for some of us as first-timers, we would think it's either a church or an antique shop where religious-themed objects and artwork ran throughout, adding a nice touch.   We were greeted by the host and promptly shown to our table. Despite the Italianate menu and decor, many of the specials show French, Spanish, and American influences, which our server, Carlos, recited a list of specials consisting of several appetizers and entrees besides the listed special page with the regular menu being à la carte at a decent price.   For starters, we decided on Calamari Fritti, Half Shell Blue Point Oysters, and Beet Salad. For our main meal, we opted for Vitello Marsala, Chicken Parmigiano, Linguini alla Vongole, Ravioli alla Sergio, Fettuccini Bolognese, and Rigatoni Sicilianao. We even saved room for desserts: Churros, Crème Brûlée with some coconut shavings, and Pistachio Cake   One could see the delight in the faces of the patrons who ordered when their food was set before them. We were delighted as well, the flavors melting perfectly in every sweet, savory, salty bite. The food was amazingly delicious, cooked to perfection with fresh ingredients from appetizers to dessert, beautifully presented, and service never rushed.   The owner, Adriana, managed to visit our table to exchange a few words, and her staff was very attentive.     We enjoyed spending time with our friends, which we can continue to recommend this place.

We love this place. But another restaurant we suggested to friends that didn't end up liking. We loved everything. Feels like an old mob spot. Went Christmas Eve and got a prefix menu that was very good. Need to try on regular night again.

I chose Sergio's for my boyfriend's birthday because I always loved the Clifton location. Everyting was amazing!! He didn't love the chicken marsala and the owner actually noticed, came over and replaced it free...

A 3 for average. I was so bored with everything You will pay an extra $10 if you want to share your food with a friend. Absolutely ridiculous. The mushroom ravioli with pesto was good. Not great but good. Pasta was cooked very well. 3.5/5 The penne vodka. I've had better. Would never get this again. I want to be wowed. This was not doing it for me. Way too much sauce. 3/5 Chocolate vanilla hazelnut. It had a wafer in the middle so it was crunchy. I don't know. I just did not like it. It tried so hard to taste good but the flavors seem conflicting. 2/5

Ask the Community - Sergio's Missione

Is there any special deals for take out? Is the whole menu available?

I thought there was a sign outside advertising a specific "specials" night? Maybe a deal on a Tuesday or something?

They have many specials each night but they are pricey. Not "specials" as far as pricing. I never saw a sign outside. I'm going back tomorrow and next week. 👌

Is restaurant spacious enough for a party of 13? Is there a parking lot to park the car?

There is a parking lot behind the restaurant by the bank drive thru. And yes they have plenty of room for a party of 13, two rooms downstairs and one room upstairs.

The menu isn't massive, but they cover every category with extreme precision and do it really well. Seafood, pasta, veal, chicken, and all the classic appetizers you can think of from stuffed artichokes, zucchini blossoms, and house-made burrata. The ambiance is old-school Italian in the best way: timeless, romantic, and cozy. It works just as well for an intimate date night as it does for a small group dinner. Bonus points for being BYOB. We ordered the veal marsala and the seafood pomodoro. The veal was pounded to perfection and swimming in a ridiculously addictive sauce. The seafood pasta was cooked perfectly and loaded with fresh shrimp, clams, and mussels and you can taste the quality and care put in the food. Meals are served with a salad to start, and you can expect to spend around $35 per entrée, which feels more than fair for the quality. We were genuinely impressed and were treated with a lot of attention throughout the meal. The concept of the restaurant being run by two italian twins was honestly so sweet. Highly recommend if you're looking for classic Italian done right without trekking into the city.

Boy, I gotta say I was not disappointed as soon as I walked in, I got a sense that I was definitely in the right spot. The look , feel & smell of it immediately brought me back to my cherished Jersey City roots. Everything on display looked fresh & inviting. The guy behind the counter (damn I don't recall his name) was super friendly & helpful in assisting me with my choices. Ordered the Godfather Sammy, roasted peppers, sun dried tomatoes & pulpo salad. I will follow up this review with another very shortly to ensure that this wasn't just catching them on a good day but I'm pretty sure I won't be disappointed. Boy were we both unhappy with what we got. My boyfriend's father found his braciole and sauce to be so salty it was inedible. He likes food and he is rarely disappointed in an Italian meal. But he said it was so bad that he couldn't even eat it. He ended up throwing it away. I was equally disappointed. Maybe more so. There was no way that vegetable roll was made that day let alone any sooner than two days before. It was so stale. It was hard as a rock. And I hadn't even heated it up. I cut into it right after I brought it home. It also tasted stale. I ended up throwing it away too. Broccoli Rabe roll was a tad better. It wasn't hard as a rock. But it wasn't fresh either. It tasted meh. The only thing I was happy with are the prepackaged taralli. They were imported and were lovely. Go there for the prepackaged imported food products. Don't waste your money on the dicey homemade food experience.
