My wife and I stopped by here for lunch on a Friday, I believe, ostensibly to check out the place as a possibility for our daughter's bridal shower next year. We had heard and read nice things about Que Pasta and it wasn't too far from our general area, Rockland County. We were seated at a table next to another couple by a window in a side dining room that was being used for lunch this day. There were only 2 tables of couples and a large table with about 5 men dressed in casual work clothes, so a total of 4 tables. The men were rather loud for a relatively small space which was a bit distracting with all of the shouting but we put up with it, kind of strange. What was not ok was the fact that we sat and sat and were completely ignored by the waitstaff for over 20 minutes! No water, no menus, no attention whatsoever. The staff was fawning over what I assume were regulars from the overheard conversations, literally standing at their tables and completely ignoring us as we sat inches away! I thought to myself, are they trying to piss us off with such a small amount of customers present? We could see that the manager was also chatting up everyone in the room but us, Jesus that is rude! My wife finally got up and grabbed one of the waitstaff who didn't even offer an apology. The bad service continued and our food arrived and was completely unmemorable. We then got the manager to show us an event space/party room right next to where we were having lunch. It was actually pretty but not what we wanted. When we returned to our table, so did the bad service. It was as if the manger and staff, who moments before were interested in showing us the space, had never seen us before and went back to ignoring us. WTF! We finally got their attention and got the check. It was very difficult leaving a tip! Apparently Que Pasta loves their regular customers but shows complete contempt for new faces that they don't recognize. I can't imagine a scenario where we would ever return here. What a great discovery! I had a que pasta house salad with a wonderful not-to-tangy balsamic glaze. Added prosciutto and it was really really good. My wife had the chicken franchias? And she loved it. Came with a small medley of veggies and a couple of very nicely browned potatoe wedges. I had rigatoni with bolognese and a couple of really tasty meatballs. I haven't gone in a couple of years because of the decline of food but I was having a major craving for Carbonara, I was too lazy to go to the store and make it myself and my go to place is closed Mondays. It's my fault for not asking how it was prepared but I expect even a decent Italian place would make this dish the proper way, but they don't. They make it using cream and sliced ham! The heaviness of the cream overpowered whatever flavor it had. I really was not in the mood to explain this to the server and wait for another dish. Horrible disappointment. I'm staying over at Kessler dur to an injury that I suffered so my husband every Sunday goes to Que pasta to order dinner this is the third time I'm ordering from them for some reason they tell you the meal will take 30 minutes I order and an hour and a half later I finally have my husband coming back to Kessler with the food because it took that long for the food to be given . the owner who is a female has an attitude . every time I call and ask questions about what's gluten-free She says hold on and has a real attitude the dinner specials online are never accurate. if they want to do business they need to accommodate their customers if they say 30 minutes it should be 30 minutes not an hour and a half. Just had my daughters bridal shower at this restaurant in their private room. We had 20 guests. Our server, Miriam, was excellent. She checked with me twice an hour to see if we needed anything, how many bottles of wine do we want, when do we want to present the cake, etc. she was so accommodating I tipped her extra on top of the 20% gratuity. My SO & I decided to come here for dinner on a Thursdays evening. I purchased a Groupon for 30$ worth of food. I've been here before for a graduation party, and food was delicious then, so I knew it would be worth it, and so glad I didn't doubt them! We were quickly seated by the sweetest noona, and greeted by our waiter. He explained the Groupon super quick, basically $30 off the entire bill, and we couldn't get any of there daily specials due to their discounted prices. We started with the calamari, and we were greeted with a massive plate of it. We barely finished before our dinner came. My SO went with tortellini with grilled chicken in pesto sauce, which was so rich, creamy and decadent. I went with the wild mushroom and goat cheese ravioli with the beef bolognese. And oh my god, probably one of the best raviolis I've everyujnj had. So full of flavor. Did I mention that their pasta is all homemade?? Plenty of parking and the interior is like most typical Italian restaurants. I went with the chicken foresto. The chicken foresto and eggplant parm were a big hit. They also packed the rest of the food for us to take home. Gabriel our server was amazing, helping us with anything that we needed. We were able to have the back room. We set up decorations and the party was perfect. I would definitely plan another event here when the time is necessary. In all honesty, I was going to write this review after the first time I ate here! I mean any Italian restaurant that has BOTH creamy AND basil pesto options on their menu is already ahead of the curve. When you first walk in you could see how they make their beautiful wood-fired pizzas, and the whole place just has a welcoming feel. I've yet to dine in (only picked up a few times), and honestly may take me a while to get to because they close a bit on the early side I think especially for a place with a full bar. So for now I will keep picking up! And man is there a lot to choose from! Garlic bread is a must regardless what you're getting, it's so fluffy & perfect. The pesto is light & not soaked (at other places I say light sauce but here ) , and for anyone who loves vodka sauce totally go for it they make it delicious!! We came here last weekend for my friend's baby shower. We had visited prior to the shower to see the room the shower would be held in. When we got there the day of they put us in the wrong room and would not listen when we said it was not the room we booked. Finally they realized they made a mistake and moved us to the larger room. All of the servers spoke broken English and this was just the first of many miscommunications. Thankfully the food was much better than the service. Decided to give this place a try since it was so close during visits to Kessler next door. What a surprise! Me, my husband, and our baby came here several times for meals and was always pleased. We ordered something new each time and always left satisfied and content. Their eggplant dishes are yummy as well as their comfort foods of lasagna and Bolognese dishes. I've tried their vodka sauce since so many reviews on here claimed it to be so great...gotta say that I've actually had a bit better but so many other dishes here to choose from makes up for that. They got some caponata served with bread at the start which was awesome! Their tiramsu...ohhhh my goodnessss. Tiramasu was always my go-to for dessert. Actually salivating now just thinking about it, HA! The service was good. Staff was always attentive. The place can get loud when there is a lot of people and can be cold (temp wise) inside when there isn't a lot of people. Overall this place is great...AND ITS BYOB! The food here is remarkable. I had their gnocchi and it was truly magical. The consistency and texture were so on point. The party of 4 I was with were all very impressed. The only aspect of the evening I wasn't particularly thrilled about was their alcohol service. They recently switched from byob to no longer byob and they serve their own alcohol at very reasonable prices. We purchased 2 bottle of reds for the table. Their house wine glasses are incredibly small, just doesn't satisfy the wino in me. If you're having wine with dinner, you'd hope for a standard size (white) glass (not even a 'red wine' glass). It certainly wasn't anything to ruin the night of course! Their service was pleasant, and as I said prior, food was excellent. The atmosphere is simple and clean. I'll be back for sure! After standing there for over 5 minutes i decided to look for somebody ,The man who seated us told us he was the manager and apologized that no one attended to us ,As we were following the man you could smell the alcohol coming off of him like he was already drunk but never the less we were now there and wanted to give this place a shot ! The menu had your normal italian food so we decided to get 2 dishes and share , The Lasagna i ordered must have been reheated since it was not fresh and you can tell it was a reheat with a very hard top layer ,the taste was foul like it was last weeks special , my wife had their Osobuco which looked good on the menu but then again not fresh and chewy ,Very disappointed in getting such garbage and paying a premium !I complained to the man who seated us and instead of listening to my complaint he insulted both of us and said nobody else complains as i can smell the Alcohol coming off of him and did,nt want this to escalate so we just left ! I just had the worst experience at Que Pasta in Saddle Brook!! I booked a dinner for our sons and nieces Baptism. We booked about a month back and secured a price for $23.95pp. We were told the price went up to $26, however since we booked prior we wouldn't need to pay that up charge. Of course, we got this in writing. The week of the party I called twice to confirm. I was asked about dinner choices, however no one asked me about the final head count. On Friday evening at 10:18PM I got a call from the owner, who was calling to confirm head count, because I never provided it. I informed her I called twice this past week. She apologized and said she is in charge of the parties and only works after 4. We went over the head count and I told her 50. We discussed children, however she did not ask me how many between the ages of 4-10, as this is half price. At 10:30PM I have one eye open and am barely able to think clearly, so I did not elaborate further. Not that I would know to review this, because I have never had a party there before and did not know the process. The following day I checked her voicemail, which indicated I was being charged for 50 adults since we didn't provide a head count. Unsure and feeling anxious about the whole thing, I called and spoke with the son of the owner to review the child count and adult count. I was told "no problem" and that everything would be adjusted correctly. Upon receiving the bill, after issues during dinner which I won't get into, I was told that I was being charged for 50 adults at $26!! I attempted to clarify with the waiter that this was not correct. After not getting anywhere, I asked to speak with the owner. The owner came out with the contract she wrote for $26pp. My sister and Aunt, who both reviewed the contract in person with the owner, reminded her about the previous price. The owner then began to argue with me about how many children. Even to the point of asking me to point out which kids in the room were between certain ages, not believing me!!! She was exceptionally rude during this process!!! She then indicated I changed the head count, resulting in another argument about the conversation on Friday evening at 10:30!! Ultimately, she stormed away from me and slammed the door in my face!!! I was shocked and appalled that an owner of a business would handle a situation in this manner, completely curt and disrespectful!! Do yourself a favor and don't book a party at Que Pasta in Saddle Brook!! You will be treated with disrespect and utter inconsideration as a customer!! read more

This is an awesome local spot for some delicious Italian food. I have been coming here for years and it never disappoints. I have personally had most of the stuff on the menu and everything has been good, the vodka sauce is awesome, just saying. The main dining area is usually clean and orderly, the food comes out in a reasonable time and its BYOB! so bring some bottles. The staff has always been extremely nice, my favorite waiter is Harown. He has been there for many years, he's extremely knowledgable and a really nice guy. They are all excellent employees and know how to treat their customers well.
