The food quality top notch, portions way over the top, the taste well that was paramount. The owner brought out some fried cheese and guasacaca sauce that were just delicious and appreciated. I ordered the beef pepito and was not disappointed the crunch of the bread and the flavorful beef and cheese was delightful. My husband ordered the beef patacon and it was so crunchy and stuffed full and the flavors melded so perfectly in every bite. Going to come back and eat our way through the menu! Posting pics wished I had thought of scaling it to show size, suffice to say you won't leave here hungry.

Yes and there are unbelievable. Guatemalan cerveza? Si and also yummers. There is a language barrier but the menu makes ordering vegan easy. The vegan items are clearly marked, setting everybody up for success. And I mention the language barrier because this is Tulsa. Were this LA, Austin, or even most of Dallas, this wouldn't even need mentioning. Between my spouse's Peggy Hill Spanish, my second generation no sabo kid Spanish and our server's English, we were able to easily and successfully order and receive our vegan food (our carnist friends with us received their meaty-meats just as successfully and with just as much ease). This place is great. We are looking forward to returning and eating up the vegan noms very soon!

I wouldn't know authentic Guatemalan food if I had a mouth full of it. All I know is that it was tasty, and not Mexican food. I had a picture on my phone that a Google reviewer had posted. It looked delicious. I showed the picture to the owner and asked what they were. Guatemalan Enchiladas was his reply. I followed that question with "are they on the menu, I can't find them?" His response "No, But I will make them for you." He did. I also asked if he had a salsa picante to go with them. He replied yes and in the same sentence warned this gringo that it was very hot. It was perfect on the enchiladas. My wife went with a breakfast plate, Desayuno Chapin. While we were waiting, the owner brought out two fried corn tortillas spread with a thin creamy tasty layer of black beans. Both were finished with a sprinkling of tangy sharp cotija cheese. A nice complimentary appetizer. The plates arrived. Mine was three fried corn tortillas (tostada shells) covered with a generous salad of fried shredded cabbage, carrot, and pickled beets. A good portion of fried chicken breast cut into small pieces was on top of the salad, then finished with cilantro. I got tricked into eating somewhat healthy. I enjoyed the meal. My wife's breakfast meal was scrambled eggs, creamy smooth black beans, fried plantains, a big chunk of mild queso fresco, a dollop of mayonnaise and tortillas to scoop it all up with. She added some of the salsa picante to spice it up. She loved the food.

For the amount of food and how fresh things tasted, the price was super fair. We ordered a little bit of everything: - Beef Arepa. The meat was tender, moist, and flavorful and the bread well made and toasted. - side of plantains, fried. Slightly sweet and not overfried, so you actually taste the fruit instead of the oil. - yucca fries with a yellow sauce that I suspect was a type of cheese ? Anyways, this was delicious. - Leche de Tigre- I did not eat this but my husband ordered this and said it was some of the best ceviche he's ever had. We also ordered the "Peruvian Four Flavors" which included 2 of their appetizers and two entrees in smaller portions. - Arros Con Pollos (rice and chicken). Shredded chicken, rice, peas, and in a green sauce. - Anticicho. Grilled beef heart pieces with a tasty spice mix on it. This came with a few kernels of Peruvian corn and some fried potatoes. Honestly one of my favorites of the evening. - Papa a la Huancania. It's like a Peruvian version of potatoes au gratin and I mean that in the best way. -Aji de Gallina. Another chicken and rice dish. It says spicy and maybe they went easy on the gringos, but the flavor was still fantastic. It's a one room dining area and there were two servers, both of which were kind and helpful. Honestly we wanted to try the whole menu so I guess that just means we'll HAVE to go back :)
