This is my second stay at the quartz in the last 4 months. The hotel is very well maintained. The staff are attentive and yes, speak english. The rooms are comfortable and clean. Now that the upscale food court located downstairs is open there are a lot of options for food right out of the hotel door. There is a grocery store across the street along with an ice cream shop and tortilla factory. Downstairs is a money exchange, pharmacy and 7-11. The complimentary breakfast isn't some gross cereal bar but a sit down proper meal so give yourself time. You are served warm lemon juice and then have a choice of a beet bases, green based or OJ juice along with your coffee, tea and breakfast choice. The pool bar is wonderful and other than the flights going overhead fairly regularly it is a nice spot to relax. The zen garden is beautiful as well. If you are a light sleeper I encourage you to ask for the garden side of the building. I also LOVE that a window opens and you can get fresh air! I have a feeling I will be here often with work and look forward to coming back. read more

I stayed at this hotel for the first time. Here's my honest opinion. Pros: Staff speak English and are very professional and extremely nice and helpful. The location feels safe with a security in the front. There are many restaurants around and child friendly. The medical hospital is right next door. Its proximity to the downtown area makes it desirable. 24/7 room services if needed. Water pressure was amazing and the water turns hot very fast. Very large pool on the 4th floor opens at 10:00AM. Complimentary delicious breakfast with multiple options to pick from. Spa services are amazing and totally worth the price. Several stores nearby. Cons: The room wasn't as tidy, i found trash on the side of the table left by the previous guests. Overall 5 stars for safety, professionalism, modern rooms. I don't like to complain so I cleaned the room myself. I understand the cleaning crew may not be able to clean every room spotless. These employees work really hard. My only downfall was the jacuzzi was full of kids so we couldn't enjoy a relaxing evening. I love that there was restaurants below so we didn't have to leave the property. Those that have been following my Yelp adventures know in which hotel I stay when spending a weekend in baja. But whenever I need to switch things up, I opt to make reservations at Quartz Hotel and Spa. I first stayed here two years ago, and I upgraded to the room with a jacuzzi, which sat on the same level as the pool. The jacuzzi is best for two people max, and it is a great place to relax along with some red wine and a char cutlery board. The room is spacious, clean, modern, and comfortable. The bed is comfy, we got a very good night sleep. The room service is decent. It runs 24/7, which is very much appreciated. The burger from room service is decent, as is the char cutlery board. We got the wine from Valle de Guadalupe, so I can't speak for the wine in stock here. There is a sleek and modern shopping plaza adjacent to the hotel, and they share a parking structure. The pool is of decent size, although I haven't swam there yet. They have a spa and a gym, images and reviews for those will come in a future date. The staff here is attentive, on point, and quick to resolve any issues. They made us feel right at home, and guided us well. I recommend this hotel, it makes for a great stay. read more

ABSOLUTELY LOVED THIS HOTEL! AMAZING STAFF, SAFE, AND BY SO MANY CUTE PLACES TO EAT! Customer service: 5/5 The staff here is just so nice, and of course welcoming. They all know pretty great English, and seem rather happy to assist! For some odd reason there is a big bowl of apples in the front that caught my eye, haha. They asked me if I wanted one as they got me a key to my room :) The rooms: 5/5 The rooms are beautiful! Super clean, nice robes, beautiful slippers, and really nice views. The water was hot in the shower, and the lighting was really nice. They could use more TV channels though! Haha Price: 4/5$$$$ Well, it's expensive. Period. Haha Per night it's about $300.00 USD. It's rather convenient to wonder off to have some fun; there are so many things/ places around. There's a big chess board outside, lots of nice places to eat/ walkable, and the restaurants are AMAZING. All around: 5/5 I'd come back here again for sure. My Favorite Hotel - My Go-To Spot! I've stayed at this hotel at least five times, and it has officially become my go-to place. There are so many reasons why I love it: * Convenience: They offer a shuttle from the border for only $6. This is a huge stress reliever since I don't like driving across due to traffic, scams, confusing directions, and extra insurance costs. Walking across and hopping on their shuttle is so much easier. * Breakfast: Instead of a typical buffet, they serve a made-to-order breakfast that's fresh and delicious. They even include their own bakery's pan dulce, baked daily, which is complimentary with breakfast. * Transportation: Uber rides to nearby restaurants average only about $5, making it super affordable to get around. * Gym & Spa: The gym is the largest and most complete I've ever seen in a hotel. They have everything--from free weights to machines like lat pulldown and hip abductor. The spa is right next to it, and the whole area smells amazing. I'm excited to try the spa today! * Pool & Atmosphere: The pool area feels like a resort, perfect for relaxing. The hotel itself is modern, spotless, and beautifully maintained. * Dining & Nearby Options: There are plenty of restaurants near the lobby, plus a 7-Eleven downstairs. If you're facing the pool, you'll have a decent stay. Friendly staff, (unscrupulous but friendly), great pool and jacuzzi, edible food, and great location. Facing the street, and you'll have the worst nights and days of your life. Hot and uncomfortable room, and dishonest staff about it. They pretend that this was the first time they heard about it. They promised to make it right and they lied about that. If you want to work there, you need to learn how to lie. So it's either a 3-4 star or a zero star. That comes to 1. If you get caught by them, ask for one of their cheesy room fans. They are such a bunch of ridiculous idiots. Lol read more

This is my 1st time here at this hotel and I'm glad that I made that choice. It's not far from the border. It's very modern and clean. Nice beds, comfortable and cozy rooms. There are a few restaurants downstairs and I loved the service and the food served each morning. Really loved the egg white omelette w/ spinach! There's a Taco place across the street and also a Ley supermarket for your personal snacks and needs. There's a gym with lots of equipment and good view of the street. There's a pool but it was too cold to go in it! Prices were very reasonable. About 150USD a night for the weekend stay. It's conveniently located for Uber and taxis. I must say I'm impressed. I normally choose big hotel chains but this one was included in a medical package. The staff at checkin was nice and thorough even with slight language issues. The bell staff was quick on the draw with gathering luggage and carting it for easy transport. The food in the hotel is decent as well. Nothing gourmet but very good. Visited the spa for a deep tissue massage. Needs a lot more pressure to be considered deep tissue but a nice relaxing massage nonetheless. The sauna inside the spa heats up quickly and was a nice finishing touch up the massage. Steam room would have been heavenly but I won't push it. The gardens near the pool got most of my time. Very relaxing spot, beautifully maintained with ambient music. read more

Stayed at Quartz hotel for several days in January 2024. The hotel is located right next to the border, with the line to return back to the USA side a block away. The hotel is very clean and set up as nice hotel. You enter on the open lobby with plenty of seating available to wait. The rooms were hotel "standard" size, which included a computer table set up, flatscreen TV, refrigerator and large bed. The bathrooms were large, and had accommodations for those that just had medical procedures. They have several restaurants tied to the hotel that you could just walk out to just outside the main doors. I did have a burger and chips which were excellent. Breakfast daily was included. Not a large menu, but it did have chilaquiles, pancakes or a continental breakfast. I did add items to my breakfast on my own dime, and I though it was very good Pricey hotel, but very nice. read more

I had such a nice stay here .loved this hotel from the start , it is so beautiful and luxurious! The staff was great , very helpful. The boca restaurant downstairs had amazing food and offered free breakfast . Only certain items but those were just enough, fresh orange juice .the rooms were great as well with comfortable beds and pillows . Shower head gave great pressure and hot water. The hotel walls were a bit thin , you can hear a lot but even as light of a sleeper that I am I was able to rest just fine . The black out shades were great too . The swimming pool was heated as well as the jacuzzi , they had a nice little gym next to the spa area . It felt safe , cameras everywhere and you can't use the elevator unless you have a key and it only works to your floor and the pool and spa/gym floor .the pharmacy was just below super convenient and surprisingly not bad prices .amazing new hospital literally right there as well as a bunch of restaurants attached to it and across the street. We made it to the hotel after some extensive dental work. It was also our 4-year wedding Anniversary. They upgraded our room to a suite on the top floor, we got 2 free drinks, a free yoga class, and 20% off dinner, and they also washed & waxed the car. We also get free breakfast. This is our 2nd stay here. We live in California. Just for reference we are not Mexican, and we don't speak any Spanish. The hotel staff speaks English. The car wash guys outside who didn't speak English happily used google translate. We have felt very safe and comfortable since we got here this morning. The dentist we went to was called Makeover Dental Studio. They worked wonders fixing our teeth by the way. We ate dinner at Farmer's table. The fish was perfect! We also got churros with chocolate sauce! I'm leaving here very happy. read more

This Hotel is awesome! Built only 2 years ago, it's modern, clean and comfortable. The rooms are really nice and I LOVE the showers-modern and spacious . Downstairs in the Hotel is a restaurant and small bar that is nice . The club sandwich is very good & the chicken quesadilla also is fresh and satisfying. Service is good. Most of the staff speaks some or fluent English. The pool looks very inviting & it's a nice view to stare down on from the rooms . This hotel is only about 3 minutes from the border & It's super tall so it makes it pretty easy to find . They seem to often have bands or events nearby so it can get loud around 8pm . By the way, there is a restaurant downstairs in the open interior corridor called de La brassa (farm to table) The pizza there is delish . I think this is not part of the hotel but I'm not sure . My wife and I returned to Quartz Hotel in an attempt to recreate a magical birthday experience we had for her two years ago. Check-in is at three, however, we remembered last time the receptionist was very kind and once he saw it was my wife's birthday... he gave us an upgraded room on the 4th floor, facing the pool with a private patio. He also gave us early check-in for no charge. We had such an amazing time at the pool and all of the staff were kind. This is why we chose to return, but..... Remembering this, my wife entered the hotel while I waited in front with my vehicle to see if we could possibly store our bags. When she came out she had a very confused look on her face and told me the receptionist was rude and said we can leave our bags there for $46, since it was roughly 1:00 pm, that seemed a little steep. We parked in the private parking garage and I paid a couple of nice guys to detail my Jeep while we walked around for 2 hours waiting for check-in. Earlier in the day I attempted to call and ask for early check-in and potentially pay to upgrade the room. I waited on the phone for 25 minutes before hanging up. I figured going inside and apologizing that I didn't call in advance about the check-in and trying to level with the receptionist would allow us to at least leave our bags and sit by the pool. The receptionist was cold and not nice at all, when I mentioned I tried to call for my wife's birthday, she fake smiled and said ,"Congratulations.". It was also awkward every time we would exit and enter because she sits right by the door and would give us dirty glances and whisper every time. In the notes we requested a fourth floor room, she didn't even address it and put us on the 9th floor in the furthest corner away from the pool possible. Everyone else was nice, helpful, and the hotel has a lot of good features. The gym is nice, the parking isn't expensive and the restaurants on the terrace are very good. Another bad instance: When we asked for music by the pool, along with over 20 other people we heard ask; we finally were told the manager says it's not a beach party it's a hotel and denied our request. Many people started to bring their own music and were asked to turn it down. It's ok for screaming children to jump and splash everyone and scream at the top of their lungs, but music isn't an option? The drinks: we heard multiple people ask if there was even liquor in them? I started ordering doubles and finally could taste the alcohol, it could also be that they use a good amount of triple sec to mask the taste? Overall: Bad- Horribly rude receptionist -based of our experience with her alone we probably will find another hotel next time. Mini fridge is nice but no freezer for ice and no ice machines on the floors. Elevator system is horrible, stops at every floor and there are 2 tiny elevators, takes forever to get anywhere. Good- Great architecture, comfortable rooms and amenities, good gym, location is ideal, parking simple. Smells good with aromas, outdoor restaurants and food service very good. Breakfast is included and is very delicious, service is good. Room service is fast and good. read more

We booked this room last minute on Expedia- and we're happy we found it! Tijuana is slowly developing, and this new high-rise boutique is classy and sleek. The garden and huge walls with dark green succulents + flowers show the love and details they put into this place. When you first arrive, parking is tricky right underground the main entrance. You will see Valet attendants, directing you to go under and park. They will bring a bell cart to assist you with any luggage! Our check-in was pretty smooth, our bellman Antonio did a great job telling us about the resort and all amenities. It's so new and beautiful! This is a high-rise type of vacation with views of the city.. i especially recommend if you're looking for a quick get-away wanting a clean and a chic-ish style. We did upgrade to the Junior Suite (and very happy we did). The bedroom is separate to the rest.. Everything is advanced with technology and connected to your phone.. the blinds are controlled to get privacy when you need it. We did use the gym- all brand new equipment! You have the high-rise view of the city while you're working out, which is nice. We had the gym to ourselves. It was SO clean. Staff is extremely accommodating and friendly. It's a pretty quiet, exclusive place so you won't see a lot of people in and out each day. I recommend you stop by the little restaurant across the street! the tacos were mouth watering! We will definitely recommend and come stay again if we come back to TJ in future! read more

The hotel is clean, modern, and has a cool vibe. It's a short walk from the PedEast border entrance and The Park (collection of restaurants and bars) is located at the lobby level. I felt safe the entire time and there is a grocery store and restaurants across the street. The staff were all nice and attentive. I came early, and although I couldn't check in they held my luggage until I could. They have a restaurant and bar at lobby level within the hotel and have a bar/food service at the pool. I came here to have a medical treatment done when I showed up at the desk to get a room with an ice pack on my face. They made me show all this type of paperwork and I just asked if they could call the doctors office to prove that I went to the doctor to get the medical discount of 140. Then the TV pretty much was only in Spanish so they sent somebody up that changed it to English and when the person left, it was still pretty much in Spanish. They don't tell you what floor the pools on you don't know how to reach the front desk. I was told to dial pound and one to reach the front desk and that was not correct. So I called the spa because it's the only number you could press and they couldn't transfer me to the front desk. The room is nice but the employees for the most part don't know what they're doing. read more

Everything was perfect except the front desk lady Norma...she was being really unprofessional and rude when trying to ask a simple question. She kept hanging up my calls and putting me on hold for a long time. I had to call through a different phone number to get a hold of her. If it wasn't for the other staff I would have canceled my reservation and gone somewhere else. We visited this hotel multiple times due to its convenient location nevertheless that IS THE ONLY reason why we have continuously stayed here for the last few months we have had to travel to Tijuana. To start it is great to walk in and be treated by the doorman even though the person behind the counter is usually stand-offish, acting as if they are doing us a favor, the facilities are clean which is a huge plus, the rooms are good but there's seems to be plenty of noise all day. Noticed that they dare not to invest in quality (at least Costco) towels and you get towels that are literally with holes and falling apart which feel like sandpaper! Check-out is at 12 noon which is good but God forbid you ask if you can check-out at 1PM (which is only an hour) and they refuse to accommodate. In overall I will recommend this hotel only if you require the convenience of it but DONT expect quality. read more

I came to this Hotel because of an "Add" and the pics didn't make enough justice, this place is just Superb! My room was mega comfy, lovely decor, everything spotless, the bed was beyond words, lots of electronic gadgets, the blinds, phone with camera, the use of the lights is adjustable, flat TV, the bathroom su updated and trendy. Love that they have an SPA, jacuzzi and Sauna areas, gym, restaurant, the Hotel is so modernist and full of little Mexican touches that displays our culture. My favorite area was the outside pool with such a great views of the buildings around, with a nice bar to hangout, and is just a good Hotel to stay in. A little coment for the Managment area, I couldn't find this place right away, neither in Google or Apple maps, I called the Hotel several times and nobody answers??? So was a little frustrating to don't find the place in the middle of the night, even if is in a big Avenue. Best of wishes to this hot spot ! read more

Super clean and great location! 2 mins from the border and a ton of trendy restaurants at The Park TJ, which it's connected to. Not sure why, but I was the only person on my entire floor. I was at the highest floor street view but definitely ask for pool view if you're going to sleep in as the traffic noise is as bad as the smog in TJ! We walked across from San Diego (outlet area) to TJ, it is that close. ($10 cab ride or free 15 minute walk). On a Sunday morning at 10:30am we waited 2 hours to finally cross over to the USA side. You can see the Medical Plaza actually from the USA pedestrian bridge. There are a few things that were wonderful about the hotel and we had a pool view which was super cool. We went for a very beautiful XV in the hotel and it was 5 star. The venue, the food, the bathrooms, service was top notch ! The tomato soup starter was hot and delicious. The chicken was so moist, they must have sous vided it. It was like a Mexican version of Chicken cordon Bleu. We stayed in the hotel and the staff was super friendly and even accommodated a discount rate for the XV guests. The rooms are very modern with switches that control blinds, black out blinds, and lights. I loved that it had white slippers and coffee machine that was like a nespresso. The rooms, hallways, pool area were very clean & you can see the staff cleaning throughout the day and we could even see them set up the filter for the hot tub by the pool.Walk around the pool area and there is a bar and succulents everywhere with ample places to sit & chill. In the lobby there is "The Park" which is like a high end food court. We had a seafood mocajete for snacks that was delicious. The Farmers Table for breakfast was so different from the ones in San Diego. It is 10x better. The coffee drinks we ordered came with cotton candy and little pan dulce was hot. I think it was pricey for Mexico prices for the 2 double beds with a discount being over $330, but it was convenient because we had the event there. One of our friends drove into the event and said while he was at the party, someone was detailing his car in the parking garage. Note: They will charge your credit card as a hold back for incidentals about the same fee for 1 night which took 48 hours to reimburse. read more

Not only did i have to call them several times for them to answer, when someone finally answered the phone, they were very rude. This hotel is top of the line !! I was surprise to see how busy they were with tourism from alll over the world. Special people going's for survey. Super convenient if your are having surgery at the medical plaza next door. Everyone in the hotel is super helpful and friendly. Concierge was great help. They have a chofer in the property. Room service was fast and chicken soup was like homemade. Even the door man was very helpful, I was going to pay my parking ticket outside in the machine when he mention paying a the front desk was a better deal !! Like I said staff is very friendly and helpful. I felt safe since people need a card to get on the elevators. read more
