Beautiful place! Friendly service and amazing rooms. Very beautiful property. The breakfast was excellent for being complimentary and waiter Alejandro was so nice. My only downfall was the jacuzzi was full of kids so we couldn't enjoy a relaxing evening. I love that there was restaurants below so we didn't have to leave the property. I would definitely come back.

Those that have been following my Yelp adventures know in which hotel I stay when spending a weekend in baja. But whenever I need to switch things up, I opt to make reservations at Quartz Hotel and Spa. I first stayed here two years ago, and I upgraded to the room with a jacuzzi, which sat on the same level as the pool. The jacuzzi is best for two people max, and it is a great place to relax along with some red wine and a char cutlery board. The room is spacious, clean, modern, and comfortable. The bed is comfy, we got a very good night sleep. The room service is decent. It runs 24/7, which is very much appreciated. The burger from room service is decent, as is the char cutlery board. We got the wine from Valle de Guadalupe, so I can't speak for the wine in stock here. There is a sleek and modern shopping plaza adjacent to the hotel, and they share a parking structure. The pool is of decent size, although I haven't swam there yet. They have a spa and a gym, images and reviews for those will come in a future date. The staff here is attentive, on point, and quick to resolve any issues. They made us feel right at home, and guided us well. I recommend this hotel, it makes for a great stay.

ABSOLUTELY LOVED THIS HOTEL! AMAZING STAFF, SAFE, AND BY SO MANY CUTE PLACES TO EAT! Customer service: 5/5 The staff here is just so nice, and of course welcoming. They all know pretty great English, and seem rather happy to assist! For some odd reason there is a big bowl of apples in the front that caught my eye, haha. They asked me if I wanted one as they got me a key to my room :) The rooms: 5/5 The rooms are beautiful! Super clean, nice robes, beautiful slippers, and really nice views. The water was hot in the shower, and the lighting was really nice. They could use more TV channels though! Haha Price: 4/5$$$$ Well, it's expensive. Period. Haha Per night it's about $300.00 USD. It's rather convenient to wonder off to have some fun; there are so many things/ places around. There's a big chess board outside, lots of nice places to eat/ walkable, and the restaurants are AMAZING. All around: 5/5 I'd come back here again for sure. Maybe with a cheaper rate if possible, haha.

Pretty delicious food and really beautiful building to stay. I would recommend it for sure.

My Favorite Hotel - My Go-To Spot! I've stayed at this hotel at least five times, and it has officially become my go-to place. There are so many reasons why I love it: * Convenience: They offer a shuttle from the border for only $6. This is a huge stress reliever since I don't like driving across due to traffic, scams, confusing directions, and extra insurance costs. Walking across and hopping on their shuttle is so much easier. * Breakfast: Instead of a typical buffet, they serve a made-to-order breakfast that's fresh and delicious. They even include their own bakery's pan dulce, baked daily, which is complimentary with breakfast. * Transportation: Uber rides to nearby restaurants average only about $5, making it super affordable to get around. * Gym & Spa: The gym is the largest and most complete I've ever seen in a hotel. They have everything--from free weights to machines like lat pulldown and hip abductor. The spa is right next to it, and the whole area smells amazing. I'm excited to try the spa today! * Pool & Atmosphere: The pool area feels like a resort, perfect for relaxing. The hotel itself is modern, spotless, and beautifully maintained. * Dining & Nearby Options: There are plenty of restaurants near the lobby, plus a 7-Eleven downstairs. Across the street, you'll find a fresh tortilla shop, a grocery store, and even a candy store. Overall, this hotel combines convenience, comfort, and luxury in one place. Between the shuttle, the incredible gym, the resort-style pool, and the fresh bakery treats, it's hard to beat. I can't wait for my next stay!

This is my 1st time here at this hotel and I'm glad that I made that choice. It's not far from the border. It's very modern and clean. Nice beds, comfortable and cozy rooms. There are a few restaurants downstairs and I loved the service and the food served each morning. Really loved the egg white omelette w/ spinach! There's a Taco place across the street and also a Ley supermarket for your personal snacks and needs. There's a gym with lots of equipment and good view of the street. There's a pool but it was too cold to go in it! Prices were very reasonable. About 150USD a night for the weekend stay. It's conveniently located for Uber and taxis. I will be staying here my next time in town!

I must say I'm impressed. I normally choose big hotel chains but this one was included in a medical package. The staff at checkin was nice and thorough even with slight language issues. The bell staff was quick on the draw with gathering luggage and carting it for easy transport. The food in the hotel is decent as well. Nothing gourmet but very good. Visited the spa for a deep tissue massage. Needs a lot more pressure to be considered deep tissue but a nice relaxing massage nonetheless. The sauna inside the spa heats up quickly and was a nice finishing touch up the massage. Steam room would have been heavenly but I won't push it. The gardens near the pool got most of my time. Very relaxing spot, beautifully maintained with ambient music.

I had such a nice stay here .loved this hotel from the start , it is so beautiful and luxurious! The staff was great , very helpful. The boca restaurant downstairs had amazing food and offered free breakfast . Only certain items but those were just enough, fresh orange juice .the rooms were great as well with comfortable beds and pillows . Shower head gave great pressure and hot water. The hotel walls were a bit thin , you can hear a lot but even as light of a sleeper that I am I was able to rest just fine . The black out shades were great too . The swimming pool was heated as well as the jacuzzi , they had a nice little gym next to the spa area . It felt safe , cameras everywhere and you can't use the elevator unless you have a key and it only works to your floor and the pool and spa/gym floor .the pharmacy was just below super convenient and surprisingly not bad prices .amazing new hospital literally right there as well as a bunch of restaurants attached to it and across the street. They also provide a free shuttle to the line . Absolutely wonderful hotel .

We made it to the hotel after some extensive dental work. It was also our 4-year wedding Anniversary. They upgraded our room to a suite on the top floor, we got 2 free drinks, a free yoga class, and 20% off dinner, and they also washed & waxed the car. We also get free breakfast. This is our 2nd stay here. We live in California. Just for reference we are not Mexican, and we don't speak any Spanish. The hotel staff speaks English. The car wash guys outside who didn't speak English happily used google translate. We have felt very safe and comfortable since we got here this morning. The dentist we went to was called Makeover Dental Studio. They worked wonders fixing our teeth by the way. We ate dinner at Farmer's table. The fish was perfect! We also got churros with chocolate sauce! I'm leaving here very happy.

Second trip to this hotel. Going to Washington dental for dental work. It was new with no amenities. Now they include a limited breakfast but good choices.

I am rewriting this review from a 2023 visit…read more We had this trip planned for weeks to celebrate my man's birthday in June, so our expectations were high. We booked a hotel stay for two nights. I reserved one room directly through the Lucerna website and he booked two additional rooms through Expedia. Unfortunately, both bookings were charged a night's stay in advance, even though Expedia was not supposed to charge anything until check-in. At check-in, the staff at the front desk was very nice and accommodating. The bellman was especially kind and was going along with our jokes-- he was honestly the best part of our stay. From there, things quickly went downhill. Our key cards stopped working on several occasions, requiring multiple trips back down to the front desk to have them reactivated. The biggest issue was that the air conditioning did not work in any of the rooms. We called the front desk several times, but no one ever answered -- the phone just rang and rang. That night, we were forced to sleep with the balcony doors open, which resulted in mosquitoes and flies coming into the room. Because we couldn't reach anyone, we also weren't able to order room service. Again, the phone rang endlessly with no answer, so we ended up ordering Domino's from across the street. We spent time at the pool while the kids swam. The area itself was very nice and inviting, but the pool was dirty, with leaves and debris floating in the water. We asked a security guard if servers came out to the pool area. He initially said yes and went to call someone. After waiting about 15 minutes, we asked again and he then mentioned that pool service is only available during the summer -- something that would have been helpful to know upfront. We ended up going inside the bar to order drinks and carried them back out ourselves. About 30 minutes later, staff came out to clean up the pool That same day, we followed up again about the AC. The front desk told us maintenance had already taken care of it the day before, which was not true -- no one had come and the rooms were still hot and humid. Eventually, someone did come to check both rooms, but nothing was fixed. This is supposed to be a luxury hotel, yet the experience did not reflect that at all. It is extremely overpriced for the quality of service and the number of issues we encountered across all three rooms. We paid over $250 per night, stayed for two nights and booked three rooms, only to leave feeling extremely disappointed. Unfortunately, we will not be returning to this Lucerna location. I gave it 1 star only because we made the stay fun, despite all the flaws and disappointments. And the interaction with the bellman really made a difference.

They have bottled water in the room, which is a must. Do not drink tap water anywhere in Tijuana. The location is great. It is within easy walking to many fun spots, including shopping. Prices have doubled since coming here first. Points went from 5k to 8k- please don't up it any more :). Guest profile has changed and with it more English speaking staff. US workers in scrubs moonlighting on the weekend, patients over from US for medical procedures, catering to this new clientele has made this hotel busier and a little more pricey than before. I wonder how they will compete when the Westin opens right next door? Location is truly perfect, it's an easy drive from the U.S. made easier now with the hotel and gastronomy zone signs as you cross the San Ysidro border. The hotel offers covered, gated underground parking for your car. It feels secure and I've never had any issues or incidents (touch wood) ever. Breakfast is included with your stay and has improved over the years, not that it was ever bad, they just offer a much larger and quality selection than before and restock often, again being more busy I imagine helps with that. Staff are always great , very helpful, and bilingual. If the bar ever looks unattended it's because they often double at reception. Just look to the front desk for assistance. For a Hyatt place - it's one of the best - that's why we keep coming back, better than the San Diego counterparts. Adrian, at the breakfast station is our favorite staff member. He's always so helpful, attentive and he deserves a shout out. I would love if they made Pozole on Saturday mornings - but alas it's a Sunday morning treat. Having it on Saturday too would be the icing on the cake. Something to work on: I enjoy a late checkout and appreciate not being disturbed. Do not disturb sign on the door doesn't mean they won't knock, or try to come in. Housekeeping should observe this request, even if they are being nice and checking to see if you need more towels. If you like clean, they are obsessively clean - occasionally the chemicals bother me in the lobby but I appreciate their attention to cleanliness. Overall solid 4 star rating.
