Me quedé allí dos noches y, para ser un hotel de casi 5 estrellas, esperaba mucho más. Llegamos un viernes a las 3 PM y el estacionamiento estaba completamente lleno, a pesar de ser amplio. Sin embargo, no estaba lleno por los huéspedes del hotel, sino porque también tienen taquillas donde la gente va a comprar boletos para conciertos, ocupando los espacios del hotel. En un momento, incluso la seguridad me dijo que el estacionamiento estaba lleno, pero cuando mencioné que era huésped, me dejaron entrar. Para empeorar las cosas, parte del estacionamiento es de tierra y grava, no está pavimentado. Cuando llegamos a nuestra habitación, el aire acondicionado estaba bien, pero las camas eran terribles: duras, inestables y se movían con facilidad. No pude dormir porque el colchón era muy incómodo y, además, ni siquiera eran camas tamaño queen, sino full. Los canales de televisión también eran bastante limitados y aburridos. Pedí servicio a la habitación para tres personas y, aunque no me hubiera importado pagar $60 si la comida hubiera sido decente, la verdad fue terrible. Pedimos un plato de taquitos de pollo, que estaban pasables, aunque el pollo no tenía sabor. En general, fue un plato aceptable. El segundo platillo, unas sincronizadas, estaban buenas. Sin embargo, el tercer platillo, tacos de arrachera, fue un desastre: la carne estaba dura, cortada en trozos enormes, cruda y sin ningún sabor. De postre, pedimos dos brownies con helado de vainilla, pero cuando los recibimos, el helado prácticamente se había derretido. Los brownies fueron una decepción: secos, llenos de nueces y sin nada de chocolate ni suavidad. El baño fue otro problema: no tenía suficientes toallas y la regadera estaba tapada, por lo que el agua no drenaba bien. Cada vez que nos bañábamos, el agua se quedaba estancada en el piso. Hay servicio a la habitación las 24hrs lo único que no me gustó es el Parqueo. Si no conoces el area, esta poco accesible del parqueo a la entrada del hotel. A menos que sea drop off. This place should change the name to "The Real Disappointment Inn" and this is why 1. Online says free continental breakfast in person at check in they say they have no continental breakfast no free breakfast at all. 2. The parking here is idiotic you have to constantly pull a new parking ticket and always get it checked at the front desk for the parking to be free very annoying how they have this set up 3. The water for the shower is a joke it's either super hot or super cold no in between and will Change every few seconds 4. The bed sheets and towels are very old stained had holes in them 5. For the price you pay the rooms don't even have a mini fridge or microwave in them 6. When you book a two bed room the front desk will complain if you have more then two guest to the room and want you to pay more per person for the stay read more

Decent, modern hotel. The rooms: -nice bathroom - see pic (spacious, nice marble, shower is huge with a rain shower head). Provided towels and shampoo, didn't find conditioner in mine. Hair blow dryer also provided -big beds with a lot of pillows (in 3 different kinds of sizes) -desk by the tv mounted on the wall -a small closet area to hang clothes and lots of drawers for more space -walls are a bit thin, can hear your neighbors, tv or people out in hallways The restaurant: -breakfast buffet is a must (great selection with chilaquiles, eggs, tamales, omelette station etc) -lunch (order in menu, prices are cheap) would highly recommend the caldo de tortilla (so good!) the fajitas de arrachera is pretty good too but on the heavier side. The nelly torta is ok. -for lunch and dinner you get a bread and biscuits basket that comes with pico de Gallo, salsa, butter and lime -limonada recommend for drinks The hotel also has a bar area and Starbucks right next to it. Hotel is good for meeting rooms and large gatherings. Used a meeting room here which was a bit cold but plenty of space. All staff friendly and can understand English but prefer speaking in Spanish (easier of course!) read more

Staying with my mom at the real Inn during COVID means we've missed out on a lot of the amenities that I usually enjoy like the gym and buffet breakfasts. Just like most places in TJ, security takes your temperature at the entrance and gives hand sanitizer. 100% mask compliance. The staff is very attentive. Whenever we called the front desk or needed anything, we were answered promptly. It's centrally located by the Plaza Río Tijuana and a good price. The beds are really comfortable and it's a nice shower. The only complaints were there is no working heat. Everyone is given a space heater upon request. Also, housekeeping seems to sweep dirt into the hallways and just leave it. After 5 days the halls were filthy and we had to request them to vacuum. We thought about leaving, but are honestly so comfortable we're staying a few extra days. read more

I recently stayed at the Real Inn on my last visit to Tijuana. I didn't know what to expect from this hotel, but I was pleasantly surprised! The property is well maintained and up to date! There isn't a pool here, but its nothing you'll miss. The rooms look EXACTLY like they do on the website. And the lighting in the bathroom is great. The room I had didn't have a fridge, but they delivered one to the room without any issue. There's a Starbucks just right across the front of the hotel on the same property. And the location of the hotel is so walk friendly. There are plenty of plazas & mercados to walk to without any issue. Would totally stay here again on my next visit! read more

I came to this hotel because I was having surgery in Mexico. I was hesitant at first - but rest assure, this hotel is stunning. The service is amazing. The only issue we had was ordering dinner and calling the front desk; yes, they're busy. I ended up having to go downstairs to order our dinners. Per my boyfriend who got the chicken enchiladas, they were good. Prices were great. We were able to pay with American money and they spoke English. Unfortunately I don't speak Spanish, but the staff were wonderful and understanding. The hotel is very clean and the beds are so comfortable. If I ever go back to Tijuana, I plan on staying in this beautiful hotel again. Other tips: 1.) Have your key card on you at all times; you need it to get to your floor and to turn the lights on. 2.) Yes, there is a Starbucks! Yes, it's amazing. 3.) They have a large mall across the street. It's beautiful and a lot of fun. 4.) Go downstairs versus telephoning the front desk. A nice. completely remodeled hotel right next to the mall here in the zone rio section of Tijuana. I love the location and loved the simple but nice modern decor of the room, the hotel itself had everything you'd want especially for a short stay, they have breakfast and brunch here on Sunday and they have room service around the clock. I enjoyed some drinks at the full bar down in the lobby and was able to enjoy some entertainment from a guy playing guitar and singing songs down in the lobby, I would definitely stay here again, we were able to check in after midnight which was a plus for us, I noticed other hotels here in Tijuana not allow this , thank you very much. There's and oxxo convenience store right next to this place which I liked , there are also plenty of taco joints all around for a late night meal. Only thing that was bad was the heater not working which would have made my stay much better as I am here and it's January and it gets a bit chilly at night here in Tijuana and Southern California for that matter. read more

I am giving it two stars because it's really clean and everything especially during Covid times. But let me tell you if you get Anahi Cortez at the front desk there will be problems! We had made the reservation for 4 people confirmed at check in! We we went out at night came back and we had to go to the front with Anahí because "we weren't registered to have 4." We had to pay to the extra people in order to go up or else we were going to be kicked out! Never staying here again because all the want is your money bad costumer service. read more

I'm giving it a one star for location. I didn't have any issue with employees but then again I didn't interact much with any employees. This property is pricey for what they offer. My comforter was stained, decorative pillow smelled like breath, the shower drain was rusty and the tile around it was stained. Last but not least we had no hot water. Pay and extra $7 and stay at Lucernas it's a beautiful hotel. Or pay half price and stay at Gamma it's just as ugly an unkept as this one for half the price. read more

This is really a 4.5 star review. My friend & I got a steal of a deal in early July 2017. The check in was super fast, our room was clean & had a chic modern design. There was free, on sight parking with in-and-out privileges. The location was within a mile of everyplace we wanted to go - lots of shops, great restaurants/bars, things to do & see. Here's why I knock off .5 stars. - everything in the bathroom was gorgeous marble tile - including the shower. It was a European type shower with no door so you have to take a few steps to get under the (marvelous!) rain shower head. Those few steps are a little slippery. - also because there is no door, if you put anything on the side ledge, water will roll down & drip on the floor. - there were oddly no washcloths. We didn't care enough to call down to the front desk to ask for some but we thought that was odd. That's it. Tiny little minor things. Otherwise the hotel was quite, the lobby & bar were sleek and inviting. Everyone on the staff was multi-lingual. Checkout was as easy as check-in. Oh! They were running a special at the attached spa. My friend got a back/neck massage, facial & microdermabrasion for almost half the price she would pay in the US. read more

This place is trying to serve itself as a sleek, luxury hotel but in actuality it's run down and dirty. My hotel room walls were stained and the the doors were chipping and peeling from the bottom. The furniture inside is also damaged and need replacing. They also over charge you if you're paying with American money. $145 US for a single night stay is way too steep for Tijuana standards. I'm almost positive that the front desk woman pocketed half of that. What a scam. Don't be deceived by the decor. I wouldn't recommend any tourist to stay here. read more

The customer service here is absolutely awful. They offer room service, and the hotel was almost empty so I figured if I placed an order it would come in a fashionable time. I called in an order of salmon at 10:30pm, they said it would be here in 10 or 15 minutes. At 11:20 I called back to see if it was on its way, they said yes it's on its way. Then at 11:40 I called again because it still hadn't arrived and a man named Julio answered. He said I never placed the order. I told him I not only placed it over an hour ago but that they told me a half an hour later it was ON ITS WAY. I walked down to reception to talk to them about it and they then said they had no recollection of any of my calls. Julio was extremely rude and curt. So was the man working behind the receptionist desk. Then he said "what do you want to order?" And I said well I'll order something but I would like it compensated. So really... 2 stars because it's a very well presented hotel. Seems very swanky in a nice part of town. But kind of gross too... Full disclosure it was my first time here in Tijuana. My friend had surgery and we stayed here the last night before flying home to Texas. Outwardly it's white marble and dark wood floors in the rooms. It's not bad at all. My problem is that its 82° in this room... and its 10pm. Its 69° outside and I'm about to die from heat stroke up in here. No way to open windows! To add the floors that may have never been mopped .... I may have toe ickies now .... it's just nice for appearances. I think for me, from Texas, I've seen some good and bad hotels... from Drurry to Ramada to Hotel 6.... South Padre LaQuinta to Amarillo motel inn. So this place is not bad at all.... a little pretentious for my taste to be so dirty though. Probably won't decide to come back here again. For sure might try the beachside "poorside" of town... that place would be fine dirty....at least I would be expecting it. Here I just expected nice, clean and cool for the cost. For TJ it is a better more modern hotel. I have stayed here twice and stay here only when my first selections are sold out marriot, hyatt, fairfield inn and suites, etc. I paid $240.00 a night for my room when it is normally no more than $100.00 (Labor Day weekend). I give two stars because it was expensive, i didnt get a room with one king bed, my room had no hot water and the AC worked a little. The front desk did not do much to help me it was packed this weekend. Probably will avoid next time. I mean come on have hot water in the room. read more

First off don't let the looks of a place make you think it's a good place...my family and I rented 3 rooms this passed weekend as our father just passed away...we choose the hotel 1 location 2 looks....well little did we know it would be the worse experience on top of our saddened time to be there...we arrived and everything seemed good...front desk was nice...we had called for reservations we were told $110 a night each room....we get there and they tried to charge us 220$ each room a night...ended up getting room for 110$....we rested untill our mom came from across the border about 2 hrs...we had to be at the funeral home at 645 we were literally 2 blocks away...well we left the hotel room at 615 packed into the cars go to leave and the guy at the exit asked for the ticket we left it in our room...we explained to the guy that our father passed away we were going to his viewing...he then stated he couldn't let us out without paying...ok so we pay him 5$...we get out...than it was my mom's turn...and same thing he started telling her he could let her out...she offered the money and this time he was being rude and wouldn't let her out...so basically arguing with him for 30 min ran all the way to get the ticket and gave it to him...late for our fathers funeral we told him how would he feel if it was his father he than told us I don't have a father so it wouldn't matter....who says that...we finally get to our fathers funeral at 715 ish...the next morning we wake up with more than enough time to shower eat and go to the church....well we start to get showered there's no hot water in any of the 3 rooms we rented....I'm feed up with it...I go down stairs to talk to the manager explain the previous nights mayhem and today's issue he says all i can say is sorry...I'm can give u breakfast...the the water should be working in 30 min...we eat have the guy call and ask if it's working and he states maybe 30 more min...so this is a hr later...so by the time we go back to the rooms to get ready the water is still off...almost 1 hr and half later... so finally the water starts to get warm but now it's all brown we let it run for another 30 min...almost nd now we really have to rush cuz were late again and all because of this crappie hotel...oh ya and did I mention there was water leaking throw the floor in the walk way...ya not only were we late for our dad's funeral 2x all they had to say was sorry and give us breakfast....they didn't offer a refund...or a free night or anything....DO NOT STAY THERE.... read more
