I noticed this place has reviews all over the place from good to terrible. Our experience was nothing but good. The staff is super friendly and the room we had was clean and in decent shape, that's all I ask for most of the time. It's not the Ritz but overall this is not a bad place to stay while in TJ

Wont stay here again so much for being one of the top hotels in tijuana pretty shitty tbh room smelled like straight sewer as soon as I got it had to keep the bathroom door closed at all times only plus was watching hbo on the tv also got bit by a spider or sum staying there wont be backkk floor was kinda dirty too also the kicker needed an iphone charger called the front desk told 80$ us i thot I was trippin so i said 80 pesos and they repeated no dollars I told them no than some dude 30 mins later comes to my room trying to sell me a charger for 400 pesos wtf what a ghetto ass hotel they are just tryna to finesse you here beware!!!

My knees hit the drivers seat and I am 5'2" 110 lbs

My daughter had surgery and I wanted a private Limo or car service back to the San Diego airport in an SUV. The concierge set me up with a car company for $160 one way. The driver showed up in his personal small 4 door sedan. This was not a driving service, rather the concierge's friend named Israel. We needed a SUV that was high from the ground. Every bump hurt her incisions. We were taken advantage of by having a "friend" pick us up rather than a limo service. Terrible. The main floor restaurants manager was wonderful as the young daytime female at the front desk and a young gentlemen as well was very nice. Room service was challenged with the language barrier.

Great customer service! It's a beautiful hotel and you have a couple of dining options. We enjoyed the rooftop restaurant K Tower. Sushi was delicious and dessert was the cherry on top! Check them out if you are in the area.

Beautiful, swimming pool and patio area.

I would definitely recommend this hotel to everyone. I was pleasantly amazed with how beautiful the hotel is. It feels like you're in a resort. The patio and swimming pool area is very clean and many beautiful flowers surround the swimming pool. The rooms are super clean and the restaurant and bars offer you a variety of food and drinks. The buffet has a great value for the quality of food that is served. Thank you, Lucerna for such an amazing experience.. until I see you again!

We recently stayed at Hotel Lucerna in January and February of 2024. *Location : safe, gated premises, beautiful surroundings and English was spoken by the concierge. The courtyard is shared by the K-Tower hotel. The pool area is beautiful. This hotel is in Zona Rio and about 8 mins from the Tijuana airport. *Employees/Staff: very friendly. Will find someone to speak English if they don't understand you or you don't understand them. Shoutout to Oumar, one of the men working at the front. *Rooms: American standard. Awesome balcony. Good shower pressure. Comfortable bed and good TV service. There are complimentary bottled water in each room. There is a safe in each room that works great! * Breakfast and Brunch: pay the extra to have breakfast (or Sunday brunch if you're there on a Sunday). Every description of fruit, tasty fresh juices, excellent coffee, an omlete and egg station, pancake/waffle station, prepared eggs, chips, salsas, menudo, fresh hot chocolate, all descriptions of pork, beef and chicken. On Sundays, there is a chef that prepares fresh fajitas and grilled meats poolside. Price: We paid what we would pay at any nice hotel in the US. There is construction going on so be advised if you are traveling in the Spring-Summer of 2024. There will be noise during the day.

Excelente servicio por parte del personal Christian en la torre K, muy amable, su desayuno muy rico y variado, restaurantes, cafés y hospitales a unos pasos

This is the hotel in which my girlfriend and I decided to stay for our New Year's vacation. I was drawn to this hotel because of a previous experience staying in K Tower, which is another great option found within Hotel Lucerna's property. I made the reservation online, and we were checked in with no problems. We got a room with a good view, facing the pool in the center of the courtyard. The room was comfortable, sizable, and clean. The amenities were great, including the room service. The food from room service was very delicious, coming in sizable portions, and leaving me satisfied after every meal. The staff was friendly, courteous, and very attentive. The hotel is conveniently located in Zona Rio, in a nice enclave in Tijuana. There were plenty of options for food, shopping, and services. The border crossing lay less than ten minutes away, which was great because I had to cross into San Diego halfway through my vacation due to a broken cell phone. But that's a story for another review. The restaurant located in the ground floor is the same place that makes the food for room service. The bell staff is on point, ready to help you with our bags. Tip them well, they're great people. The courtyard is beautiful, and it is the access point for K Tower. There is also a restaurant accessed here, Rivoli's. I had less-than stellar comments for that place. That will come in a future review. Overall, we were satisfied with out stay here. The place is comfortable and well-run. The price is right, as is the ambient. Come give this place a try. Let's keep Lucerna classy!

Lovely , clean hotel. Front desk crew are so great. Very helpful. Grounds are very well maintained and pleasant to relax around.

Now that the upscale food court located downstairs is open there are a lot of options for food right out of the hotel door. The complimentary breakfast isn't some gross cereal bar but a sit down proper meal so give yourself time. You are served warm lemon juice and then have a choice of a beet bases, green based or OJ juice along with your coffee, tea and breakfast choice. The pool bar is wonderful and other than the flights going overhead fairly regularly it is a nice spot to relax. The zen garden is beautiful as well. If you are a light sleeper I encourage you to ask for the garden side of the building. I also LOVE that a window opens and you can get fresh air! I have a feeling I will be here often with work and look forward to coming back.

The location feels safe with a security in the front. There are many restaurants around and child friendly. The medical hospital is right next door. Its proximity to the downtown area makes it desirable. 24/7 room services if needed. Water pressure was amazing and the water turns hot very fast. Very large pool on the 4th floor opens at 10:00AM. Complimentary delicious breakfast with multiple options to pick from. Spa services are amazing and totally worth the price. Several stores nearby. Cons: The room wasn't as tidy, i found trash on the side of the table left by the previous guests. Overall 5 stars for safety, professionalism, modern rooms. I don't like to complain so I cleaned the room myself. I understand the cleaning crew may not be able to clean every room spotless. These employees work really hard. I would for sure stay there again.

Prices have doubled since coming here first. Points went from 5k to 8k- please don't up it any more :). Guest profile has changed and with it more English speaking staff. US workers in scrubs moonlighting on the weekend, patients over from US for medical procedures, catering to this new clientele has made this hotel busier and a little more pricey than before. I wonder how they will compete when the Westin opens right next door? Location is truly perfect, it's an easy drive from the U.S. made easier now with the hotel and gastronomy zone signs as you cross the San Ysidro border. The hotel offers covered, gated underground parking for your car. It feels secure and I've never had any issues or incidents (touch wood) ever. Breakfast is included with your stay and has improved over the years, not that it was ever bad, they just offer a much larger and quality selection than before and restock often, again being more busy I imagine helps with that. Staff are always great , very helpful, and bilingual. If the bar ever looks unattended it's because they often double at reception. Just look to the front desk for assistance. For a Hyatt place - it's one of the best - that's why we keep coming back, better than the San Diego counterparts. Adrian, at the breakfast station is our favorite staff member. He's always so helpful, attentive and he deserves a shout out. I would love if they made Pozole on Saturday mornings - but alas it's a Sunday morning treat. Having it on Saturday too would be the icing on the cake. Something to work on: I enjoy a late checkout and appreciate not being disturbed. Do not disturb sign on the door doesn't mean they won't knock, or try to come in. Housekeeping should observe this request, even if they are being nice and checking to see if you need more towels. If you like clean, they are obsessively clean - occasionally the chemicals bother me in the lobby but I appreciate their attention to cleanliness. Overall solid 4 star rating.
