I noticed this place has reviews all over the place from good to terrible. Our experience was nothing but good. The staff is super friendly and the room we had was clean and in decent shape, that's all I ask for most of the time. It's not the Ritz but overall this is not a bad place to stay while in TJ

Literally one of the worst experiences starting from when we arrived check in was at 3pm arrived at 1:20 and decided to wait at the bar till they gave us our key also upon arrival when booking they specified that Jr suit came with a lot of amenities mind you by 3 check-in they got extremely busy so we patiently CONTINUED Waiting at the by at 330 we went and approached the reception letting them know we were still in the bar waiting for out key 10minutes before 4pm they come hand us our key the reception lady didn't say nothing but here's your key we get to out room 600 & the door didn't lock we called them and they send someone in just to let us know they would try to fix it he pretended to mess with the side locks and when I say pretend it's only because He his self realized there was another lock attached there for they already NEW that door didn't not lock also there safes out on drawers very unsafe and can easily been taken by pulling the drawer wouldn't place any valuables on there obviously let alone you can steal and go through the balcony then that wasn't all we left for dinner and came back to a puddle of water on the floor we were drained with no sleep so decided to call them in the morning they came we left for breakfast also mind you we had free breakfast and they never gave us no details when they gave us our key so there went our amenities right we paid out breakfast downstairs when we came back to the room they were still mopping the floor they left my room to figure out a solution when they got to the reception they called me to solve by problem by offering to move rooms in the afternoon mind you checkout is at 12 I had 2 hrs before checkout and they still wanted to fix my problem offering a room in the afternoon make it make sense we literally checked out then n there 2 hours before my check out when leaving they didn't offer anything but an apology we literally paid for a jr suite and got motel service I would never go back or recommend this place there services were so unprofessional

Wont stay here again so much for being one of the top hotels in tijuana pretty shitty tbh room smelled like straight sewer as soon as I got it had to keep the bathroom door closed at all times only plus was watching hbo on the tv also got bit by a spider or sum staying there wont be backkk floor was kinda dirty too also the kicker needed an iphone charger called the front desk told 80$ us i thot I was trippin so i said 80 pesos and they repeated no dollars I told them no than some dude 30 mins later comes to my room trying to sell me a charger for 400 pesos wtf what a ghetto ass hotel they are just tryna to finesse you here beware!!!

My knees hit the drivers seat and I am 5'2" 110 lbs

My daughter had surgery and I wanted a private Limo or car service back to the San Diego airport in an SUV. The concierge set me up with a car company for $160 one way. The driver showed up in his personal small 4 door sedan. This was not a driving service, rather the concierge's friend named Israel. We needed a SUV that was high from the ground. Every bump hurt her incisions. We were taken advantage of by having a "friend" pick us up rather than a limo service. Terrible. The main floor restaurants manager was wonderful as the young daytime female at the front desk and a young gentlemen as well was very nice. Room service was challenged with the language barrier.

Yummy Sushi

Great customer service! It's a beautiful hotel and you have a couple of dining options. We enjoyed the rooftop restaurant K Tower. Sushi was delicious and dessert was the cherry on top! Check them out if you are in the area.

Beautiful, swimming pool and patio area.

I would definitely recommend this hotel to everyone. I was pleasantly amazed with how beautiful the hotel is. It feels like you're in a resort. The patio and swimming pool area is very clean and many beautiful flowers surround the swimming pool. The rooms are super clean and the restaurant and bars offer you a variety of food and drinks. The buffet has a great value for the quality of food that is served. Thank you, Lucerna for such an amazing experience.. until I see you again!

Update: Hotel Lucerna has said they will be getting new…read moretreadmills. They also removed the synthetic perfume sprayers from elevators. Great customer service! Everyone is friendly. I'm a U.S. Army veteran who was exposed to biotoxins affecting my immune system. I'm in Tijuana getting treatment at bioadvanced medical center with Dr Calzada. In their elevators they have synthetic perfume sprayers constantly bombing the elevator making me sick. I asked them to shut them off. They did NOT. I have to walk 3 flight of stairs to go to and from my room. I can't recommend this hotel if you're sick going to BMC. I'm staying at your hotel because it's supposed to be high quality. Your treadmills in fitness center are very OLD. 2 are broken. A third sounds like it's getting ready to break. You need new treadmills. You can buy 4 high quality treadmills online that have been refurbished from Planet Fitness or other fitness centers. Out of respect for your customers please get new treadmills ASAP! I will increase the rating when you get new treadmills and shut off toxic synthetic perfume sprayers in elevators. Your treadmills in fitness center are very old. 2 are broken. The staff at the Lobby was very kind and accommodating, the service alone has convinced me to return again for future visits. We had dinner to the right of the lobby and ordered the ribeye tacos, & chicken breast with a side salad. We had vouchers for discounted drinks gifted by the hotel and overall I highly recommend it. I'm surprised the ratings are low. If anyone is unhappy with the dinner I highly suggest, ask the staff "What would you order?" My server for dinner was Manuel and all his recommendations are a solid 5/5. It's in the same area near the lobby, not a buffet, sit down with a menu. Breakfast is free with the stay. I also noticed this restaurant makes it a point to serve beverages that are good for your health. Prior to breakfast they served us a warm glass of lemon water before we started our meal. There's also a selection of fresh juices, I selected the green juice; with cactus, pineapple, spinach, lemon water, and yes it had all of that in it. There's other juices available but that seems to be the most health conscious one out of the three. I ordered the Veracruz breakfast and it was absolutely delectable. In the evening I hung out on the 4th floor where they have a nice roof top pool, jacuzzi, bar, garden, etc. They also offer Yoga early morning and provide the mats and blocks needed. I wanted to try it out but it seemed my coworker wasn't interested in any of the activities offered. I wanted to make sure my coworker had a nice impression of our medical visit. I did however order two beds and was charged for a two bed unit online and I have a feeling they thought I was married to my coworker. I did not complain and used the couch instead. I was tired and just wanted to relax. My only reasoning for a 4 out of 5. I highly suggest if you come with someone you're sharing space with to definitely add that in your notes when booking. I was only there for one night and did not want to make a big deal out of it. Additional information: they do offer secure parking and a pass to easily navigate in and out of the premises.

The property is beautiful, clean, and very well maintained, and the staff was friendly and attentive throughout my stay. The rooms were comfortable, and the overall atmosphere was relaxing and upscale. One of the highlights for me was the spa. I would definitely stay here again!

Each room is super clean and is ready when promised. Make a reservation. It gets crowded on some weekends and during the summer. We love everything about the hotel. The team was clearly hustling with the crowd, but they still delivered excellent service. Got upgraded to a Junior Suite on the ninth floor for a small price difference--worth it! The suite was a step up from the standard room with better views, a faster WiFi connection, and extra toiletries like a shaving kit, shoe polish, and more. Plus, they had a Samsung smart TV, which should honestly be standard in all hotels. Check-out is a breeze at noon--just drop the keys in the box, and you're good. Loved the bag check service, so I could explore without dragging my stuff around. Ordered the Original Burger with skinny fries from room service--delicious, but it came wrapped in plastic (I get it, but still). Shoutout to the staff for keeping up with the holiday rush; make sure to tip if they're vibing with you! Definitely coming back!
