I read previous reviews before my stay, and I'm happy to report that most concerns have been addressed. Waters are provided, and the place is well-polished. My room was on the third floor, facing El Centenario, offering views of the border and the hotel's casino sign--totally a vibe at night! WiFi access and a smart TV for streaming were available, making my stay comfortable. Although I was offered a top-floor room, I preferred a renovated room, which was perfect. Extra blankets in the closet, clean and organized restrooms, and great water pressure made my stay even better. No mini fridge, but it wasn't needed. Shout out to Ulises and the staff for taking great care of us during our stay. Highly recommend!"

We had dinner to the right of the lobby and ordered the ribeye tacos, & chicken breast with a side salad. We had vouchers for discounted drinks gifted by the hotel and overall I highly recommend it. I'm surprised the ratings are low. If anyone is unhappy with the dinner I highly suggest, ask the staff "What would you order?" My server for dinner was Manuel and all his recommendations are a solid 5/5. It's in the same area near the lobby, not a buffet, sit down with a menu. Breakfast is free with the stay. I also noticed this restaurant makes it a point to serve beverages that are good for your health. Prior to breakfast they served us a warm glass of lemon water before we started our meal. There's also a selection of fresh juices, I selected the green juice; with cactus, pineapple, spinach, lemon water, and yes it had all of that in it. There's other juices available but that seems to be the most health conscious one out of the three. I ordered the Veracruz breakfast and it was absolutely delectable. In the evening I hung out on the 4th floor where they have a nice roof top pool, jacuzzi, bar, garden, etc. They also offer Yoga early morning and provide the mats and blocks needed. I wanted to try it out but it seemed my coworker wasn't interested in any of the activities offered. I wanted to make sure my coworker had a nice impression of our medical visit. I did however order two beds and was charged for a two bed unit online and I have a feeling they thought I was married to my coworker. I did not complain and used the couch instead. I was tired and just wanted to relax. My only reasoning for a 4 out of 5. I highly suggest if you come with someone you're sharing space with to definitely add that in your notes when booking. I was only there for one night and did not want to make a big deal out of it. Additional information: they do offer secure parking and a pass to easily navigate in and out of the premises.

We love it, have stayed before and if we can get over the darn border we will go again. We miss it. The hotel is large, in a good area and the rooms are nice. They have great room service and we love their eatery. There are nice places to walk nearby or you can grab a cab. The staff is super nice and does speak English. Our room was ready on time and it was clean and comfortable. They have everything you need there and they are very nice.

Its a little challenging with all the round-abouts !! Being from US and not speaking Spanish at all, we were a little unsure what to expect, but communication was never an issue. The staff made us feel comfortable and safe throughout our stay. The hotel has everything you need--multiple restaurants and bars, a casino, beautiful swimming pool, room service. A special shout-out to Daniel at the casino bar! We had no idea how to get a player's card or add money so we could play, and he walked us through everything. He was always friendly and quickly learned our drinks, remembering them throughout our stay. Such a nice personal touch! The rooms are large, clean, and comfortable, with plenty of toiletries and amenities. We also had dinner at Emma, the French restaurant inside the hotel, and it was beyond fabulous--gourmet food, great ambiance, and excellent service. We felt welcome, comfortable, and safe the entire time and will absolutely stay at the Grand Hotel Tijuana again on our next trip!

It's quiet, except when they're doing construction in the day. The stay comes with breakfast (7-10am) and there's a coffee machine and an ice machine available all day. I really liked the breakfast. It's a small spread, but the food was good. There was oatmeal, pancakes, scrambled eggs, beans, nacho chips, papaya and pastries. The room is alright. Mine did not have a window to the outside (it was facing the hallway), a little stuffy, but it was bearable. The hotel looks pretty new; it feels minimalistic in an Ikea kind of way. The power went out for 45 min or so on the first day I was there; but that's probably outside the hotel's control.

The only thing that could be better is the TV quality, it's 720p with no HD. The breakfast downstairs was one of the better ones, eggs, beans, yogurt, cereal, and 24/7 coffee, cappuccino, and hot chocolate! I contacted Expedia, and they tried to resolve the issue, but the hotel staff refused to help and claimed there were no rooms left. Expedia offered me a credit, but that didn't solve the immediate problem. I had nowhere to stay and ended up sleeping in my car in an unsafe area. This hotel showed zero accountability and no concern for guests. I strongly recommend avoiding this property. Their dishonest practices and lack of customer service caused me stress, inconvenience, and put my safety at risk.

I've stayed at this hotel more than 33 times, and every visit reminds me why I keep coming back it feels like home. Valente was absolutely phenomenal. With a line of over 30 people waiting to check in the weekend of Labor Day and a huge wedding he was the only one at the counter for hours, yet he handled it all with patience, professionalism, and a genuine smile. Not only was he checking in guests, but he was also answering phones, helping with questions, grabbing luggage and blankets, and assisting Americans despite language barriers. He moved nonstop, making sure everyone was cared for, and never once looked frustrated or overwhelmed. Every time I arrive, the staff makes sure I have what I need an English speaking TV channel, an extra blanket, and quick help through WhatsApp whenever I reach out. From the security team in the parking lot, to the shuttle drivers, to engineering, to the front desk everyone here truly understands what customer service means. My Spanish isn't great, but your team's English always bridges the gap. Thank you for consistently making me feel at home. Horrible Experience - Morning Staff Issues This hotel is my…read morebrother-in-law's preferred choice whenever he needs to stay in Tijuana for business or travel. When we arrived, the staff were excellent--very friendly and welcoming. We stayed in three rooms that night because there were seven of us traveling together. Unfortunately, the morning staff were the complete opposite. The person at the valet desk was extremely rude and seemed annoyed that I needed access to my vehicle, which I had planned to store at the hotel for a week. He questioned me about which room I was staying in and who I had spoken with regarding the shuttle to take our family to the airport. I assumed it was a misunderstanding, since my brother-in-law had made the arrangements, so I told him he would be down shortly. When we walked back into the hotel, my sister-in-law was being questioned by the receptionist in a similar manner, as if we had done something wrong. When my brother-in-law came downstairs, neither the valet attendant nor the receptionist said a word to him. The shuttle driver was already waiting outside, so I assumed they had called his room and resolved the matter--but that was not the case. We later returned to Tijuana. The shuttle driver, Sergio, was waiting for us at the airport. He was an excellent driver--friendly and helpful--and pointed out several landmarks and new buildings during the drive to the hotel. Our plan was to stay one more night and then drive to northern California the following day. Upon arriving at the hotel, I felt the staff inside were waiting for us. When I asked to retrieve a few items from my car and pay the parking bill for the week, I was told they could not find my keys. I still had the ticket I had been given, but they did not know where the keys were. The gentleman at the reception desk asked who had made the arrangements. When I told him it was my brother-in-law, he instructed me to call my brother-in-law and ask him where the keys were. I called and explained the situation; my brother-in-law said he would take care of it. Shortly afterward the keys were located, and I paid the parking bill. The male receptionist then told me, in a threatening manner, that next time I should call the hotel to make my own arrangements. I informed him there would not be a next time after the way I had been treated both that day and the previous Saturday. He almost looked stunned when he realized he had lost a future customer. My brother-in-law is scheduled to arrive on Monday--hopefully they do not lose his car keys as well. Summary of Ratings My review is based primarily on the morning staff and the way they operate. The night staff were excellent and deserve 5 stars. Both shuttle drivers were also outstanding and deserve 5 stars. Overall, the hotel itself appears to be a solid 4-star property based on the condition of the building. Management simply needs to address the issues with the morning staff, or they will continue to lose customers.

We paid for each of our pets but that's the least when you're looking for a good service in a city that you're not familiar with, service room dinner was very pleasant, inside the hotel everything looks very nice, clean, fresh and calm, I wished we could stay to enjoy a couple of days, but also the cherry of the pie was the transportation to the airport, no hustle having to go outside and looking for a cab on the street.
