The only complaint we have is that the window was facing the main road so we got a lot of traffic noise all night. There's a bar and a restaurant which is very convenient. Everything was so neat and clean I forgot I was in Mexico except for the fact the TV was in Spanish ;) I would definitely recommend if ever in the area. We made a reservation for one night and 2 rooms at this hotel. We got there around 4 pm and only one room was ready, the second room was going to be ready in an hr. We went to the bar and we ordered 3 margaritas, and they served the 3rd on a Styrofoam cup, because they only had 2 glass cups. The room was stuffy and the glass on the window was broken, dirty floors, i had to use wipes to clean my feet becausethey got all dirty from the bathroom to the bed., and the comforter had holes. The shower wall disgusting too. And the ceiling was disgusting too. I think there was a leak and they didn't repair it. And you are there thinking if it will fall on you while asleep, lol. Nothing nice about this hotel. I totally agree with the other reviews. The Jr suite room was more on the clean side. But the second room, not at all! read more

Last minute stay, when we arrived late at night they gave us a room on the first floor near the emergency exit. We went out to eat and when we came back someone had broken into our room and stole our backpacks which had our passports, clothes and money. The hotel was really nice about it at first and they even called the cops which showed up 1 minute later. They showed us the camera which conveniently doesn't show our room so they couldn't see the person that left our room out of the emergency exit. Now the hotel won't help us because they have to wait for the cops to reach out to them to get the footage and catch the person who did it. This place is not owned by Holiday Inn so they won't help you and the company that does own it Hoteles Milenium won't assist either because they said as soon as the cops were involved it is out of their hand. I personally think it was an inside job and the police they called that arrived 1 min later was not really a cop or involved in the inside job. Bottom line is don't stay at this hotel. read more

Nos quedamos por una noche por la boda que tuvieron nuestros amigos. La verdad que la experiencia fue horrible. Las ventanas no abren. Tuvimos que usar el aire todo tiempo. Que obviamente no limpiaron nunca. Al prenderlo estuvimos estornudando y tosiendo todo el tiempo. Pero sin no fue posible estar en el cuarto ya que hacía calor. La ducha no tenía puerta así que cada vez saliendo tuvimos un charco. Los vecinos empezaron a gritar desde las 8 de la mañana ya que las paredes son de papel, escuchamos todo el chisme completo de la familia. Al quejarse en la recepción la respuesta fue "solo se rieron una vez". La cereza en este "pastel" fue la señora de limpieza que nos abrió la puerta a las 10 de la mañana con su tarjeta-clave diciendo que le habían dicho que el cuarto estaba desocupado ya. En la puerta teníamos la señal "no molestar". Obviamente 0 disculpas por eso de la parte del hotel, nada en ABSOLUTO. No vuelvo a ir a ese hotel, tampoco entiendo porque tiene 4 estrellas. I'm super disappointed with Holiday Inn even though I have an HGI membership with Holiday. We always reserve their hotel especially this one when we go to TJ for more than one day. I the reason reserved this hotel was because my daughter had some doctor's appointments on Thursday morning so I reserved for 4 nights and We checked on Wednesday night. Thursday we got up early to get ready and we left the hotel at around 7:45 am because my daughter had an appointment at 8 am. While we were gone someone entered our room and stole my daughter's Apple Watch. We never leave our valuable possessions, but my daughter was so nervous about her appointment that she forgot she left it behind. My daughter didn't remember she left her watch until she came back from the clinic on Friday because she had to stay one night at the clinic. She checked her backpack and realized that the watch was missing so she checked the last location on her phone and it showed that it was in the hotel. She looked around and she moved things around the bed, she moved the bed, and also checked under the beds and still didn't find it, so we called the receptionist to make a report for a missing watch we explained to them that the last location that shows that the watch was last seen was at the hotel and it's not in the room. Also, she never takes her watch off unless too charged it or because she has to take a shower other than that, she always has it on, so they said they were going to investigate and would call you back shortly, but we never received a call every and when we would call they again to see if there was an update they will still say the same thing we will investigate and call you soon. On our last day when we were checking out, we told the receptionist helping us check out what had happened and he said that he's coworker mentioned it to him and they talked to the room attendant because she was the only one who entered the room. She said that she didn't see anything or took anything. I told him that it didn't make sense that the last location my watch showed at 8:24 am was at the hotel then it either dead or someone turned off. He said we would be on the lookout so leave our phone number. I am just putting a review because I was giving them a chance to call me but they still haven't and when I call them they still say the same thing. read more

We had a suite and pretty much met our needs. Took an uber to Tj downtown for 2 dollars only. This hotel has a restaurant, a pool. On our last day we tried the food here and they have a buffet or they can also prepare you something. IGNACIO (server/mesero) gave us the best service, so polite, so educated, Gracias Ignacio!! I'm disappointed. I stayed here this past weekend for my loved ones funeral and the bellhop stole one of my bags/purse. He was nice enough to help us with our bags and even kept one for himself! I guess he thought he would find items such as a wallet, money or items of that sort. Worst experience ever!!!!!! Check in waiting time is ridiculous around 1 hour waiting because the lack of clean rooms and when I finally got the room my sheets were dirty which means they don't change the sheets every time they had a check out. Wow this place went downhill in a hurry. A few years back I stayed here for a week working and had a fantastic time. Rooms were clean, restaurant was delicious with awesome service and the pool was relaxing and well maintained. Well the maintenance crew must have been laid off. I took my brother here to enjoy Tijuana as an IHG member and talked this place up. What a disappointment. While everything LOOKS the same, it's just a shell now. The staff used to be cheerful and professional. Now they look tired and over worked. The restaurant is now understaffed, leaving one overworked waiter/bartender for lunch. Her attitude made it feel like a roadside diner, with long slow service. The pool and jacuzzi looked fine, but they were "working on the generator" and never had anything working. No heat in the hot tub. The rooms weren't as clean. The showers were awful. The drains were clogged in two rooms. The water pressure was low, then high, then low but never strong like a normal shower. They seemed to have turned off the ventilation completely in the bathrooms. So no fans, no ventilation. Good luck if you're using the bathroom after delicious tacos Sad. This was the experience with two rooms and overall so not just an individual opinion read more

Booked for the weekend it was decent hotel for the price that we paid! The pool area was big and nice except the jacuzzi it was filthy and full of dirt. Also there is a big window and you can see into the bar area it was extremely annoying the bartenders were staring because I brought a drink and chips to sit by the pool then they sent the security to tell me that I must purchase drinks and food even water just from the bar and I was not allowed to have anything unless is purchased at the bar that was so weird and uncomfortable messed up my whole mood! Would of added 4 stars but is -2 stars just for that ! Let me just add that the bartenders were annoying and rude but the security they sent was extremely polite and kind! read more

Holiday Inn Tijuana needs to step up their game. The only reason why I gave it a two star is because the people were very nice. Several things I was very dissatisfied with: 1) dirty cleaning rag left behind in bathroom counter, 2) the small couch in the room sunk in when you sat down, 3) toilet tank kept making noise throughout, had to close bathroom door. Since it was late at night, i got up and attempted to see if I could fix noise issue in the toilet tank when I opened it I noticed a water bottle with sand inside tank which led me to believe that issue had been reported in the past. Many other issues but it's late and I want to sleep - extremely tired from driving. I highly suggest for Holiday Inn Tijuana to do a walk through each room and make necessary upgrades (adding a refrigerator in each room would also be a nice touch). read more

La apariencia del hotel es excelente, aunque ha estado aquí por muchos años se ha mantenido moderno y actualizado con todas sus instalaciones. The hotel is clean enough, but needs refurbishing. The jacuzzi has water from a natural source that is not filtered and so it can turn brackish at times. It seems after reviewing the charges from the hotel that they double charged us for the room and so we'll have to call back to get this fixed. For what you get the price is not that reasonable. About $160 per night. There are other hotels in the area with newer amenities that book for the same or lower prices. They're also cheap with the a/c and the halls outside of the rooms are kept warm. Realistically we stayed here for its convenience to the venue we were attending. Otherwise, I think we'll book elsewhere next time unless things change. read more

To start with we got here 15 minutes only to find out that the room was not ready. We waited 15 minutes only for me to finally ask if the room was ready and they looked at me almost as to say quit bothering me and wait to be called. If you're looking for a home away from home, this is a one stop shop. Hubs and I come here every few months for a weekend to unwind and relax! The have a hot spring in the back (can smell a little eggy), spa services on the 2nd floor, a mini gym room, outdoor pool, vending machines for midnight munchies, and a presidential suite that had a hot tub inside the room!!!! The breakfast is healthy, loaded with fruits and a variety of Mexican breakfast dishes (yum). I'm not super enthusiastic about their lunch and dinner menu, but Javier ( bartender that's been there for years) makes bomb micheladas, cheladas, pepino margaritas, and awesome conversation. Do not recommend! We booked a room with two queen beds. The room was extremely small and had no fridge. The sheets had stains on them. Our room was right next to the road. We heard the cars zooming by all night. We did not get any sleep. The price is not reasonable for what you get. You can book a better hotel for about the same price. The hotel smells horrible like a sulfur gas ( guessing the spa?) one night while we were sleeping around 130 am someone came into our room and started yelling in Spanish than left!( very freaky! I was in traveling of out of the country and between booking.com and the hotel they messed up my reservation and left me and my guest to have to use 2 rooms for 6 people when I had reserved 3. My booking was for 2 beds per room and the was only 1 bed in each room. The front desk was very uncaring and so willing to cancel my reservation just so she could sell the room at a higher rate for more money to someone else that had screwed over. Well I'm here for medical treatment and being treated nicely is very important to me wherever I go so I will mark off points for the rude or mean or unsmiling unaccommodating front desk folks. I couldn't rest during my stay the bed was really old and rough I woke up with a twisted neck and my wife is pregnant she couldn't sleep I woke up and found her in the couch wide awake the bed had a hole in the middle like if it was worn the hell out the personnel was nice except for one receptionist and a greeter I wanted to use the computer and the greeter treated me as if I was a free loader the receptionist was so distracted I was sitting in front of her for 2 and a half hours waiting for the time to check in so I can get the room keys and she asked me if I had a reservation when she was the one that did it. read more

Great service and a hidden gem is the hot springs hot tub. Just call 20 minutes ahead and they'll fill it for you. It really is nice feature they should advertise more about. The food is phenomenal. It seems a little pricey at first but after 10ish they have 2 for 1 and it's very good. They take pesos so make sure you use a credit card that doesn't charge you an exchange rate.
