It was cold all night. *Even though there's free parking, there's no security to watch over your vehicle. Park at your own risk. * Very tiny bar. * 3 individual pieces of tissue paper left in the tissue box at the bathroom. They could have replaced the tissue box with the new one. *$5.00 for a tiny chocolate candy, no bueno. Final: I would definitely be returning to the Hilton Hampton. The front desk staff were very kind and helpful when I needed to switch the days of my booking, and gave us extra toiletries and things that we needed during our stay! This hotel is absolutely beautiful and spotless clean. Their breakfast is top notch, so many wonderful options and extremely clean. They even have multiple fresh squeezed juices to choose from. Good hotel close to the Otay Mesa border. I liked that the hotel was clean (they have a lot of hand sanitizer machines even in elevator and other signage). Also, their underground parking lot is easy to access and has an elevator that goes to the lobby (on level PB). Also, there is complimentary cucumber water and coffee/tea by check in. For some reason we completely misunderstood that the elevator that we took from the parking structure was the same one to get to our rooms. We were wandering around the whole lobby and across the business area until a staff member walked us to the elevator and hit our room floor. She knew we were confused and needed the help! Although we were on the top floor (6th) near the elevator the hotel was not too noisy. I thought it would be louder, but thankfully we got some good sleep. Also, the bathroom has great water pressure and temp. They provide Crabtree & Evelyn lotions and bath products. The lotion smelled like lemon cleaning product which was not good but you smell clean lol. Breakfast was surprisingly good and better than hotels I have paid double price for. You order where the buffet items are set and the staff plate your dishes and bring it to your table. They have quite a variety including chilaquiles, eggs, sausages, waffles, fruit like papaya and pineapple and pastries. Lots of choices! They even had fresh squeezed oj and a refreshing green juice. The guys working breakfast were so fast and on top of everything! I appreciated the way they kept a very busy dining time moving smoothly. This hotel is in a good area. There is a hotel across the street that gets shuttles full of people (maybe for airport?) as well as restaurants, a BP gas station, a Starbucks walking distance. And a fancy mall plaza a few miles down. Great hotel for our quick trip to TJ! read more

First, it's a great location, near the American Embassy, the airport and the border entry. There are numerous quality restaurants and even a full grocery store just across the street. There's a also great coffee shop right in front of the hotel. Keep in mind, that the Hampton is a distance from the downtown Tijuana area, and that during peak traffic hours a normally 15 minute ride can morph into over an hour. If you do need to get around, there is a transportation service recognized by the hotel and which has a car right there. I also recommend Uber for transportation to your destinations around town. I had a great experience with Uber there. I found the hotel personnel to be quite friendly and helpful as well as efficient. They also are bilingual. I cannot say enough about them. Top notch. They offer a full and delicious buffet breakfast with plenty of hot dishes to choose from as well as fruit, cereal, breads, etc. I was very impressed. My room was both spacious, spotless and very comfortable. There are plenty of outlets or you can charge up your electronic devices. There was a coffee maker, iron and ironing board, large flat screen TV, black out curtains and sheers, a sitting area, desk, etc. The bathrooms had very nice towels and toiletries. Great lighting. I had planned on visiting the fitness center but really didn't have time to do so. I did peek inside and it seemed very nice and sufficient. They also offer free airport transportation, free parking (underground). This hotel is excellent for families as well as business travelers. I would definitely stay there again! read more

This is a very nice Hampton. The staff were friendly. They have good and safe cucumber water in the lobby. The border crossing near the hotel is fast and easy. Uber rides from the hotel to the touristy parts of Tijuana are about 10 minutes, and very inexpensive. There are also plenty of restaurants near the hotel. read more

This is my first stay this hotel but it won't be my last. It's near Otay border crossing, and near to TJ which both are convenient when coming to tijuana. The hotel has private parking and has a good clearance for tall trucks. The rooms are nicely designed and the restroom although compact not too small for a large man like myself. The rooms are very clean and modern. The downside is that the heating is not the greatest. Our room only had a 2 ° adjustment and stayed on all night and did not heat properly, luckily it wasn't too cold last night or that would have taken 2 stars less from this current review. As for the wifi it is not the fastest but at least it works. read more

I was lucky I was able to book this hotel. I was a bit on the fritz as I didn't know what places were safe and it was my first time to Tijuana and I was also alone. They had a wonderful bell man who took my luggage to my room. In order to reach any room, you are required to use a your room key to activate the elevator. The only downside is that it's probably a 10 min Uber ride to what Tijuana offers. If it's your first trip here, this is a safe and comfortable place to stay. read more

This was our 3rd time here. The room was extremely dirty. The floors had some thick nasty liquid. The glass has some stains. The bedsheets had hair from previous guest. It was extremely disappointing. We arrived late and tired didnt have the energy to ask for another room. When checking out we left them know, but they didnt seem to care. I've been staying at this hotel at least 2 times per month, since last july 2018. Great location close to the OTAY border and airport. There is a new mall down the street called Plaza Alameda with plenty dining options, gym, and some shopping. Very clean hotel, nice rooms and a delicious breakfast every morning until 10am. Basic gym available, with underground parking structure to keep vehicle safe. Every staff member is friendly and very happy to assist. This place has been the top places that I've stayed in Tj. It was clean and quiet. The front desk people were so nice. The waiters were on top of everything during bfast time. The location is a bit hidden and there's really not a view. But they do have little restaurant and coffee shops around. We actually got a flat tire and the maintenance guy was so attentive and wanted to help us change. Amazing and grateful! read more

So far I've had great experiences @ Hampton Inn Tijuana. This hotel is new and has a beautiful decor from the lobby all the way to the rooms everything looks great. The elevators don't work if you don't have a room key so you can rest assure that not just anyone is going to be going up to the rooms. They have complementary breakfast which is really good and have a good selection/variation. They have a great friendly staff who greet you with a smile. The hotel location is great too because it has many restaurants (tacos, steak house, japanese food, cake shop and coffee shop too.) just a few feet away so there's no need to worry about parking or how far you are going to walk. Its also close to the Tijuana International Airport, U.S Consulate and Otay Mesa Port of Entry. I highly recommend this hotel only thing is I wish they had a pool. (They do have a gym ehich is open to guest 24/7). read more

I stayed recently and was not impressed. I am disabled and they offered no help to to get my bags for me. The complimentary breakfast was lacking staff and waffle station had no batter by 8:15 am. the people working the front desk was unfriendly and unhelpful, a young lady and a older lady in her 70's. there are no do not disturb placards and a hotel employee entered my room without permission. I had a bad experience and will never stay there again in Imperial Beach. read more

It is conveniently located near the airport and close to the US/Mexican border. Friendly service from the time we checked-in to the moment we left the property. What stands out of this hotel is the staff and the service. The entire staff - right from the bell man to the people at the front desk to the housekeeping to the servers at the breakfast buffet to the shuttle drivers - everyone is super nice and friendly. I stayed here for two nights and I am very happy with my stay here. I can't remember the name of each staff but thanks to Daly, Dany, Ruben and all the others who made our stay so pleasant. The breakfast buffet they offer is also very good and has a nice variety and good coffee. The hotel is located very close to the US consulate - barely a five minute drive and the hotel offers shuttle services every 2 hours I think. read more

Very nice and very new hotel in the Otay area. Rooms are nice even though they can use some more dressers for your clothes. Room has a fridge and safe and a comfortable bed with a large tv. Nice view of the city. They have underground parking which is safe and the hotel is located next to two large malls so there are a lot of places to eat and shop. Some of the best taco shops are a short drive away or you can walk. Customer service is good and the free breakfast buffet is pretty good. One of the nicer hotels in TJ. In the Otay area so the traffic is not as bad as centro TJ. read more

I'm town with the Hampton by Hilton. The Hotel has been open for about a year since this review. It's located near the airport and about 15 minutes from downtown Tijuana. It looks like they are doing a lot of construction around the area to ring and more tourism come out which is great. the breakfast is amazing they offer a variety of cereals, pastries, breads, fresh waffles, coffees, juices. On top of that they offer eggs, ham and posole has entrees. the people that work there are really attentive and do trying to make it stay feel better. About the room the shower seems a bit odd that you cannot move the shower head lower especially if you are short or you are giving an infant a shower. the pillows are not that great of quality and have no support so you end up using two pillows per person but they only offered two pillows per bad so you may have to request extra pillows to be more comfortable. as for the cable TV it seems like they don't offer as many channels as other hotels in the area. Other than that I am torn between convert and the food amenities so I will give this a four stars. read more

I've stayed here many times but it's the first time I've stayed during a Tuesday and guess what? They have Happy Hour on Tuesday and Wednesday!! They have a good variety of drinks and snacks! Hotel is in good condition. Only gripe is the food service I called lobby at least twice to order food and never heard back I had to call and remind them to place my order. Nachos came after 30 min cold I returned them and they had to redo the order. Management on staff was Dessi and Alejandra they both fall short in customer service. We took a one day trip to Mexico while in Southern CA. We were completely disappointed with the experience at the hotel. I specifically chose a HH property because we wanted the brand assurance for service. The staff were not helpful at all! We asked for advice on cabs and Ubers and could not get any answers. We chose this hotel in hopes that there would not be a significant language barrier - we were wrong. Fortunately our Spanish speaking daughter could assist. The shuttle drivers were courteous. We've had such great experiences as HH members that our expectations of staff helpfulness are pretty high. The staff at this hotel fell far below the bar. read more

The Hilton's would be appalled at the service this hotel gave my wife and I. Booked it online Sat morning around 6am for just one night. Wanted to get away for a night and have a relaxing evening out and away from everything. I met her at the hotel at 6:00pm. She had to work that day and so did I. I arrived first and it was 6:04pm the front desk lady did not greet me and just kinda starred at me awkwardly. I asked her is this where I check in? I'm sorry sir we are full! That's how she greeted me? I went on to explain I had a reservation and my room is already paid for. Oh! Well let's see. ID please. Absolutely rude! Well like I said we are full and your room is not ready! I was getting annoyed now. I'm here 3 hours past my check in time and my room is not ready? Yeah they are still cleaning it! Never offered an apology or anything? I asked well I guess I'm going to sit in the lobby here and wait? Can at least get a comped drink while I wait? Let me ask my manager. He said I guess that would be ok. Wtf!! This is a Hilton? Too much other stuff too list. Very poorly managed!! Breakfast next morning was very good. Only thing that saved the get away!!
