I received about a dozen bids from movers and in nearly every case I felt, at best uncomfortable and at worst, downright sleazy after speaking to sales reps. Then I got on the phone with Dan from Quantum and for the first time I felt like I was dealing with an honest, responsive and responsible business. And I was right! Dan took a look at my stuff and provided me with an initial "not to exceed" estimate (what an understatement, they actually came in at half that estimate!). He explained how everything would happen, what to expect, and what my responsibilities were. Come moving day, the movers were right on time - to the minute. They were friendly, thorough and very respectful. They were so careful with my furnishings you'd have thought everything was glass. The same was true as they moved me in - careful, conscientious and dedicated to making sure I was happy. THE BEST experience moving with these guys!! On time, actually early by 10 minutes that was a plus! Friendly, organized, worked as a team. Respectable and honest. Moved into a brand new home and no scratches or dings on my walls!! I even tried carrying things to my car to move myself and they offered to take them from me and load the items into my car. Before the move date one of the owners met me at my house and looked at everything we needed to move to make sure they had the correct size truck. Gave me an estimate of how many boxes would be needed which helped me pack better and brought wardrobe boxes that were included in my price. No hidden fees. His price was the best of the others we interviewed but even if it weren't I would have picked him because he is such a nice guy. These guys are the best! We were in a bind and Dan was able to accommodate us for an overnight move from the Bay Area to LA the very next morning! Don and his team were the movers and they were great! On time and professional (in fact, we were a little late in meeting them for the pick up and Don just said "take your time! We'll meet you when you get here"). They loaded up really quickly and even rewrapped our TV and paintings for us to ensure they wouldn't get damaged in transit. He said they'd see us in LA at 9am the next morning. The next morning, we happened to look out the window and saw Don and his team in his truck outside around 8am and were wondering why he wasn't calling to let us know he's here. My boyfriend went down to meet him and Don said "oh no, we're early and I told you 9am so we will wait in the truck until 9am" - truly class act! Of course we told him that he didn't need to sit in his truck for an hour and could start unloading early which he was super grateful for. They unloaded quickly - laid down mats to protect the floors, wore masks, asked where every item should be placed, unwrapped everything. We used them for an in town move. They were able to schedule the move in short order and their pricing was competitive to other bids. The moving truck arrived on-time with 3 heavy lifters. Since I was not able to remove TVs from the wall mounts myself, they helped me with that as an extra task (with the understanding they are not liable for damages). The movers arrived during the time frame that was scheduled with a few extra men which was great! They were very hard workers and finished loading everything in 1 hour and 30 minutes and we had a lot of boxes and some furniture pieces too. They arrived the next morning right on time and made sure that everything was put in the correct rooms before they left. Needed to move our daughter into a new home. We had stuff stored in our garage, plus her stuff at her current house. Quantum's team arrived at our place on time and very quickly loaded up what we had there. Then off to current house to load more. After a difficult national move, I still needed to bring a heavy granite table upstairs and uncrate it. I selected Quantum Moving based on its great reviews---but I also liked the fact they had started the business recently (about a year ago I believe) and were trying hard to establish themselves, and that the owners were known as "good guys" in the industry. Still, I was a bit apprehensive. I talked several times to Dan (one of the two owners), who was friendly, helpful and professional. He was able to fit me in his schedule next day, which was great for me. Using Quantum Moving for my relocation from San Francisco to Los Angeles was SUCH a great decision. I will definitely use them again and refer them to all my friends/family. They showed up on time the day of the move - with a dedicated truck and FOUR men who emptied my apartment in about 3 hours. This included protecting the floor, wrapping all furniture in blankets and plastic, disassembling furniture when necessary and hauling it downstairs from the 3rd floor into their moving truck. The very next day two of the same movers who drove the truck down arrived early and loaded everything into my new apartment within a few hours. I just moved to the East Bay from SF. I've been working on some slight remodels and have purchased a few things from LetGo and OfferUp to save money. They're great sites, but if you don't have a car or truck, you're kinda at a loss. I needed to transport a refrigerator to my new place and had never hired movers before. I gathered a list and started calling. I liked them from the get go. Dan, the owner, responded right away, gave me an estimate, explained costs so I understood what and why I was being charged. I'd like to add that this moving job was short notice on their part. I needed this picked up the next day! I told Dan the preferred times for the vendor and he told me that they already had a big job scheduled for that time slot, which was totally understandable. He still took the time to call his movers and see if any adjustment could be made! I didnt ask him to do that, he offered. The next day I receive a call from Cortez informing me that he was on his way to pick up the fridge. They got it ready to go in no time, because I received another call from him informing me that he was on his way to deliver it! I really appreciated the fact that they checked in. When they took the fridge out of the truck, it was nicely wrapped in plastic and padding, which increased my confidence with this company even more. Getting it up to my place was NOT easy! The fridge took up majority of the staircase at the complex. It took alot of maneuvering and strength which both Cortez and Rene were able to accomplish. They did a great job!! At the end Cortez gave me my invoice, explained ALL the fees, he even text'd me an additional receipt. I have a few more appliances in need of transport, but at least I'm relieved of the headache of having to find a good and trustworthy moving company! I'll give Quantum Moving my business anytime. I used Quantum Movers for a semi-long distance move of a hundred miles. I was contacted by two different people, Sammy and Dan, regarding my move and I then decided to schedule a walk through of my home just to make sure I covered everything on my list. This was a smooth process as I pointed out items to Dan and he made notes as we went along. At the end, I received my estimate and secured the date of the move. On moving day, the driver Jim, contacted me ahead of time to let me know their ETA, which was going to be right as scheduled. The 3 man crew worked efficently and were incredibly helpful and were always receptive to my requests. Moving day is never easy and no matter how well you think you have it together, there is always something you either didn't anticipate or the usual, odds and ends that need to be boxed up. The guys helped deal with these issues and were always positive and good natured. It made a stressful day go much easier. After we left on our journey, I assumed their truck might be quite a bit further behind me at the arrival to our destination. I only beat them by 5 minutes which was surprising. The route was over a winding mountain and still, they kept up in their large truck. After unloading my stuff they were kind enough to accomodate an additional stop for us, to move a bed to a different location. They honored this request without hesitation even though they had to be tired after a long, hot day and with at least a 2 hour drive back home. These guys were great! Dan is a smart guy and made the most accurate estimate of how much stuff we had. More than that, the team of movers were all extremely polite and efficient and did a remarkable job, both loading and unloading, including handling fragile items and furniture.
