Great service, great prices, and they are even competent. These three things are not very common for an auto place but they really do have all of these qualities!! We had a window motor go out on our Prius. They quoted us at least $300 cheaper than the dealership and the job was done in no time. They were very thorough in explaining what the job was that was needing to get done and made sure to get us in and out within a couple of hours. Our window now works fine and we are very happy with the results. Recently we had to take in our other vehicle to change a foglight bulb. They charged us $31 plus tax and it took about twenty minutes in all. They had to order the bulb in and called me right after they got it in. I brought the car in the following work day and it was all done! The process was very smooth and easy for us. The biggest thing is they charged WAY less than Lexus had quoted for the same job but got it done in less than half the time, too. What more can you ask for?? These guys are now no doubt our go-to automotive people. I hope they have lots of customers to keep their business thriving and I can't wait to get used to the faces here. They are all so friendly! side note - they have free wifi !! read more

I had a screw in my tire and these amazing guys fixed it while I waited, with no appointment! From what I saw this shop is well staffed with mechanics to help you out. I chose them due to proximity but will be returning because their skill, speed and kindness earned my loyalty. read more

Terry and is team at QualTech are great. I took my F250 in with a check engine light on and is was a fast and easy repair. They sis not waist my time, they were to the point, and got me back on the road quickly. I highly recommend QualTech in Bee Caves. Thanks QualTech read more

Trust is always hardest to find. I am not a car guy and as I grew up, I learned that folks could up sell the heck out of me and since I didn't know better, I felt powerless. Almost 20 years of experience w these guys and I never worry about their honest assessment and quality work. I was lucky to find them!! read more

Quote over the phone for coil replacement was fair and accurate. Shop was busy, but they fit me in and had my truck finished in a few hours. Convenient and Bill even let me in on a short cut to my neighborhood so I didn't have to brave 620 at 5:30pm. Highly recommend read more

I appreciate family owned businesses. This one really stands out for me. They use highly skilled, ASE mechanics with quality parts and service for a fair price, and a 36,000 mile nationwide warranty. Their customer service goes above and beyond. They tell you what you really need, rather than push what you don't need. They use latest technology with fast turnaround times that I can sure appreciate. My husband and I won't go anywhere else. If I could give QualTech ten stars I would. read more

Qual Tech replaced the torque converter in my 2000 Silverado 2500. Torque converter was installed improperly causing the transmission to fail completely. They said the transmission had internal damage and they were not responsible, I had no transmission issues before they worked on it. Do not trust this shop to stand behind their work, they will just find a reason to deny responsibility. read more

Great place! Very friendly and trustworthy people. Fixed my car AC problems for cheap. My car's AC system wasn't working and I know nothing about cars. So I had first taken my car to a different place which was much closer to my house. That place told me I would have to change a bunch of parts and spend over $2,000 to hopefully get it working. The following week I had the guys at Qualtech check it out. They fixed the problem and it only costed $200! Much happier with this place. read more

We have always had a great experience at QualTech. We would turn to them for any of our auto repair needs.

Top notch service and friendly! They are near my home but would travel for miles to use them if they weren't!

I've been going to Qualtech for many years. They always are very accommodating and very nice. They have always done a great job on fixing any problems I've had with my car! I would definitely recommend Qualtech on 620! read more

They always have attentiveness, they know what is going wrong with your car and, more importantly, they know how to it in a professional manner. I have a 40-year old car which requires constant attention. To these people I go, and trust. They are fast and communicative; in other words, this company, and their people like to call you to tell you progress, unlike some moron car shops in the Austin area. To sum up, just like when you know a Dim Sum is good by the number of cars in the parking lot, and the line of our Chinese friends standing outside for HOURS just for a couple of shrimp dumplings, washed down with delicious hot Jasmin tea, you know a good mechanic and you hold on to them, dumplings/tea or not. This might be somewhat bombastic, but it's true. These guys ROCK! read more

I had Qualtech do all the 60,000 mile maintenance stuff on my Honda. They did a great job, finished earlier than expected and saved me more than $300 compared to the Honda shop's quote. This company has given me top notch service for over 8 years on all of my cars, and not one bad experience. read more

These people just want to upsell you parts that don't need to be changed. Even if they were recently changed, they'll "recommend" it to be changed without confirming. Probably driven by commission. Which just means more money out of your already-stretched-thin pocket. What happened to honest mechanics that just fix the issue? This poor industry gets a bad rap for people like this. There are honest mechanics out there, but they don't work here. Should you come to these predators, ask them why you need their "recommended" parts and ask for for proof of the parts they took out. read more

QualTech rocks! One of the sway bar links on my Prius became corroded. The Toyota dealership said the replacement part would have to come from Houston so I would have to schedule another appointment for repair. Since Qualtech is much closer to my house, I stopped by to get their thoughts on repair cost and timeframe. To my surprise, they offered to get it taken care of within the hour, at a reasonable cost and with a 3 year warranty! So grateful for their efficiency and helpful service! read more

As a single 25-30ish (don't ask me which end I'm closer too ;) Austin Female. Taking your car into an automotive repair shop is the stuff of nightmares... Or at least it is for me. I always get scoffed at, stared at, sometimes flirted with. Then given an overpriced estimate. Qualtech Automotive changed everything. I've worked with Bob twice. The first time he took a look and allowed me on my way. The second time he worked a miracle and got me back on the road quickly at a price I could afford. On top of that he kept me updated, and went above and beyond to be fair with pricing. I cannot express my gratitude with this post but I hope that it is mutually beneficial to Qualtech and anyone who feels like it would be nice to feel that a mechanic is actually on your side. read more

I used to live around the corner from them and so I started out coming because it was recommended by a friend and convenient. That was almost 7 years ago and I've since moved and wouldn't think of going anywhere else! The service is great, prices are pretty reasonable and they try to get you in and out. They'll provide a ride if you need one within reasonable distance. I like to get dropped off at the movie theater down the street if my repairs are gonna take at least a couple hours...but that is a rare occasion. My service adviser Bob knows my vehicle and always watches things that don't necessarily need immediate repairs. Recently Bob was out at a meeting and Justin took care of me with the same kindness and efficiency I am used to with Bob. These guys know their stuff and are friendly to boot! Oh by the way, they aren't open on weekends. Odd right? Well it just tells me the overall company as a whole has a respect for their employees that carries over to their customers. There's a true family vibe going on here! read more

I have been a customer for a while and they will continue to get first shot at my business moving forward. Over the years they have been fair and competent and compared to theres in the Austin market, they stand among the top. Moreover, one of my key benchmarks for a well run business is how they take care of an issue if one arises. To this end, Qualtech as exceeded my expectations and they went beyond what was necessary, much thanks to Bob. The ownership certain cares about customer feedback - I hope that they continue to do so. read more

In the auto repair business honesty goes a long way. I was given a quote from another auto repair business of over $400 to repair an issue that the quoted was "sheared pin"making it unable to be aligned. At the time I questioned the diagnosis and went to Qualtech for a 2nd opinion. I got a call letting me know the truck was fixed and all they charged me for was the alignment. They stated there was nothing "sheared" down there, however there was something that appeared to have been beaten with a hammer. They straightened that out and had no problem aligning the front end. I was shocked when I got the total bill of just over $100. Qualtech is a little bit expensive on some things, but they do the job right the first time and are honest. Customer for life. read more

Getting help from the folks at QualTech was a breeze. They gave me an honest estimate - better than other shops - and performed the work in a timely manner. They were super kind in explaining everything to me in simple terms, and I will definitely return when I need more work. read more

Highly competent and personable staff! These guys know what they're doing. Are they the cheapest? No. But if you want it fixed right the first time, then get your car repaired here. They don't play the game of randomly replacing parts until the problem goes away. They figure out what the problem is, and that's what they fix. We have been using Qualtech for over 10 years now, and we highly recommended them! read more

This is my second time bringing my vehicle in for an oil change. And once again, these gentlemen provided me top notch service. They are reasonably priced for their services. They are as quick as they can be with repairs and services. They are busy here and there but that's just a testament to how outstanding this auto repair shop is as a business. If you're looking for a great place to take your vehicle when you need it serviced or repaired..... I highly recommend you call Qualtec home for your vehicles needs, as I do. Highly highly highly recommend you bring your vehicle to them. I wish I could give them a 10 star review. read more

I have been going to QualTech for 2 years now and cannot believe my luck of having the most honest, hard-working, friendly and very qualified mechanics as my go-to for car repair needs. Bill is my guy and has never made me feel like I'm being taking advantage of and quoted me such reasonable rates for repairs. As a woman it's very intimidating in dealing with some mechanics but never at QualTech! With master mechanics available and such friendly customer service I recommend them to anyone and everyone who has the need for car repair or when those times unexpectedly arise. One call to Bill and staff and my car word are no longer. Thanks for the great service! Y'all are wonderful!! read more

Jason was my service manager. He was very polite, professional, and didn't try to sell me on anything I didn't need like most shops do. They fit me in without an appointment and had me out in 3 hours with new brakes, air filters, and a brake fluid flush even though they were busy. He even put on a new oil change sticker reminder because the idiots at Jiffy Lube had the wrong mileage on there from when they did my oil change last month. I can see why Qualtech has such good reviews. I'll definitely be back! read more

Absolutely unbeatable! Top serviceman and expert automotive repair! Shout out Bill, Todd, Chris, and Paul!Thank you for being my go to!

I am an older and single woman and have had many disappointments with auto repair businesses. I was hopeful when I read excellent reviews about QualTech- Ranch Road 620. Based on the quality of reviews, I've taken my car to QualTech 3 times in the last 3 months. I had my car inspection in March then, weeks later my brakes needed replaced. They even provided a ride home for me while they worked on my car! They replaced my front brakes, rotors, flushed my brake line, and an oil change. I was happy - my car was in somewhat "good health". Just under two weeks of having my new brakes, (rotors, break line flush and oil change) they STOPPED working on my way home from work. As I pushed the brake pedal it just kept going- ALL THE WAY TO THE FLOOR- my car did not stop! Luckily, I reached a "safer" road nearing my home and was able to roll into my driveway without incident. I called QualTech, the same employee Todd, who had helped me before, had my car towed to their shop. An hour later the same person Todd, called with a diagnosis explaining it "was not our fault . . .". The brake line burst and I needed a new one. The work was complete in record time, about an hr. (approx 5:20 p.m.). Todd continued explaining that since this was NOT their fault, he charged me for the part, the labor, the tow, and to add insult to injury, they could NOT help me with a ride because they would be closing soon (@ 6:00). I had to pay for a ride to pick-up my car which was only 12 mins from my house. Cost aside, QualTech and associates as Todd have no integrity. I won't go back. read more

Within hours after posting my review/experience with QualTech, I received a voicemail from the company stating they saw my review and wanted to do whatever was necessary to make things right, because, in their words, "obviously we did something wrong". I was unavailable for a couple days when the call came in, but Bob @ QualTech still continued to call me back almost daily and pursue a conversation with me. After finally getting a chance to call back and speak with Bob, I could tell that my experience with them left them feeling like they could have done better. As I stated in my initial review, it was never my intention to defame, cast a negative light or bring any sort of unwarranted harsh criticism towards QualTech. I spoke honestly simply based on my initial experience with them. That initial experience left alone would have prevented any further business with them. However... I'm happy to report that QualTech has earned our business back and gained our respect as a prime example of what a customer-driven company should look/act like. I'm floored at how quickly QualTech followed up with me to make things right. That tells me a couple things. 1) QualTech cares greatly about what their customers are saying about them through mediums such as Yelp/Google reviews. 2) They actually do something about it when someone doesn't have a good experience with them. Though I won't go into detail on what was specifically done to make things right for us, I can assure you that they extended a courtesy beyond my expectations to make sure that we were taken care of and had a dependable vehicle again driving down the road. That is all that matters for us right now after moving to this area just a few weeks ago. We couldn't be more happy. Therefore, I've updated my review of QualTech to 5 stars - something I rarely do for any business. Because I'm also a business owner that relies heavily on positive reviews and word-of-mouth exposure, I know how important it is to QualTech to make sure that any poor review is attended to personally. It's a rare quality. Finally, I want to thank Bob and QualTech for reaching back out to us and turning an unfortunate first experience with you into an excellent "do over" experience. We very much appreciate you and look forward to working with you again soon. read more

I am reviewing the Qualtech on 620. I'm surprised I haven't written a review on this place yet. These people are so professional and friendly and knowledgeable. It is hard to find an automotive place you can trust and I honestly trust these people. Tip: Make an appointment. It's just best that way. Another tip: There is a good way to drive out of there without driving on 620. Just ask them when you get there. read more

I recently took my Toyota Tundra in for an oil change. I was immediately and politely greeted, and was out within 20 minutes. They did not try to sell me anything else like the other 'quick lube oil change type' of places. They used the best oil and filter for my vehicle and treated me with respect, even though it was only an oil change. I highly recommend QualTech for all your vehicle service needs. They are professional, polite, courteous and extremely well certified and trained. I'm getting ready to take my Porche Cayenne to them soon for some routine maintenance instead of taking it to the Dealer. That's how much I trust them. Do yourself a favor and contact QualTech if you want a GREAT experience when it comes to automotive repair. You'll be glad you did. read more
