Great service, great prices, and they are even competent. These three things are not very common for an auto place but they really do have all of these qualities!! We had a window motor go out on our Prius. They quoted us at least $300 cheaper than the dealership and the job was done in no time. They were very thorough in explaining what the job was that was needing to get done and made sure to get us in and out within a couple of hours. Our window now works fine and we are very happy with the results. Recently we had to take in our other vehicle to change a foglight bulb. They charged us $31 plus tax and it took about twenty minutes in all. They had to order the bulb in and called me right after they got it in. I brought the car in the following work day and it was all done! The process was very smooth and easy for us. The biggest thing is they charged WAY less than Lexus had quoted for the same job but got it done in less than half the time, too. What more can you ask for?? These guys are now no doubt our go-to automotive people. I hope they have lots of customers to keep their business thriving and I can't wait to get used to the faces here. Qual Tech replaced the torque converter in my 2000 Silverado 2500. Torque converter was installed improperly causing the transmission to fail completely. They said the transmission had internal damage and they were not responsible, I had no transmission issues before they worked on it. Do not trust this shop to stand behind their work, they will just find a reason to deny responsibility. read more

Great place! Very friendly and trustworthy people. Fixed my car AC problems for cheap. My car's AC system wasn't working and I know nothing about cars. So I had first taken my car to a different place which was much closer to my house. That place told me I would have to change a bunch of parts and spend over $2,000 to hopefully get it working. These people just want to upsell you parts that don't need to be changed. Even if they were recently changed, they'll "recommend" it to be changed without confirming. Probably driven by commission. Which just means more money out of your already-stretched-thin pocket. What happened to honest mechanics that just fix the issue? This poor industry gets a bad rap for people like this. There are honest mechanics out there, but they don't work here. Should you come to these predators, ask them why you need their "recommended" parts and ask for for proof of the parts they took out. read more

The Toyota dealership said the replacement part would have to come from Houston so I would have to schedule another appointment for repair. Since Qualtech is much closer to my house, I stopped by to get their thoughts on repair cost and timeframe. I used to live around the corner from them and so I started out coming because it was recommended by a friend and convenient. That was almost 7 years ago and I've since moved and wouldn't think of going anywhere else! The service is great, prices are pretty reasonable and they try to get you in and out. They'll provide a ride if you need one within reasonable distance. I like to get dropped off at the movie theater down the street if my repairs are gonna take at least a couple hours...but that is a rare occasion. My service adviser Bob knows my vehicle and always watches things that don't necessarily need immediate repairs. Recently Bob was out at a meeting and Justin took care of me with the same kindness and efficiency I am used to with Bob. These guys know their stuff and are friendly to boot! Oh by the way, they aren't open on weekends. Odd right? Well it just tells me the overall company as a whole has a respect for their employees that carries over to their customers. In the auto repair business honesty goes a long way. I was given a quote from another auto repair business of over $400 to repair an issue that the quoted was "sheared pin"making it unable to be aligned. At the time I questioned the diagnosis and went to Qualtech for a 2nd opinion. I got a call letting me know the truck was fixed and all they charged me for was the alignment. They stated there was nothing "sheared" down there, however there was something that appeared to have been beaten with a hammer. They straightened that out and had no problem aligning the front end. I was shocked when I got the total bill of just over $100. Qualtech is a little bit expensive on some things, but they do the job right the first time and are honest. Customer for life. read more

Jason was my service manager. He was very polite, professional, and didn't try to sell me on anything I didn't need like most shops do. They fit me in without an appointment and had me out in 3 hours with new brakes, air filters, and a brake fluid flush even though they were busy. He even put on a new oil change sticker reminder because the idiots at Jiffy Lube had the wrong mileage on there from when they did my oil change last month. I am an older and single woman and have had many disappointments with auto repair businesses. I was hopeful when I read excellent reviews about QualTech- Ranch Road 620. Based on the quality of reviews, I've taken my car to QualTech 3 times in the last 3 months. I had my car inspection in March then, weeks later my brakes needed replaced. They even provided a ride home for me while they worked on my car! They replaced my front brakes, rotors, flushed my brake line, and an oil change. I was happy - my car was in somewhat "good health". Just under two weeks of having my new brakes, (rotors, break line flush and oil change) they STOPPED working on my way home from work. As I pushed the brake pedal it just kept going- ALL THE WAY TO THE FLOOR- my car did not stop! Luckily, I reached a "safer" road nearing my home and was able to roll into my driveway without incident. I called QualTech, the same employee Todd, who had helped me before, had my car towed to their shop. An hour later the same person Todd, called with a diagnosis explaining it "was not our fault . . .". The brake line burst and I needed a new one. The work was complete in record time, about an hr. (approx 5:20 p.m.). Todd continued explaining that since this was NOT their fault, he charged me for the part, the labor, the tow, and to add insult to injury, they could NOT help me with a ride because they would be closing soon (@ 6:00). I had to pay for a ride to pick-up my car which was only 12 mins from my house. Cost aside, QualTech and associates as Todd have no integrity. I won't go back. read more

Within hours after posting my review/experience with QualTech, I received a voicemail from the company stating they saw my review and wanted to do whatever was necessary to make things right, because, in their words, "obviously we did something wrong". I was unavailable for a couple days when the call came in, but Bob @ QualTech still continued to call me back almost daily and pursue a conversation with me. After finally getting a chance to call back and speak with Bob, I could tell that my experience with them left them feeling like they could have done better. As I stated in my initial review, it was never my intention to defame, cast a negative light or bring any sort of unwarranted harsh criticism towards QualTech. I spoke honestly simply based on my initial experience with them. That initial experience left alone would have prevented any further business with them. However... I'm happy to report that QualTech has earned our business back and gained our respect as a prime example of what a customer-driven company should look/act like. I'm floored at how quickly QualTech followed up with me to make things right. That tells me a couple things. 1) QualTech cares greatly about what their customers are saying about them through mediums such as Yelp/Google reviews. 2) They actually do something about it when someone doesn't have a good experience with them. Though I won't go into detail on what was specifically done to make things right for us, I can assure you that they extended a courtesy beyond my expectations to make sure that we were taken care of and had a dependable vehicle again driving down the road. That is all that matters for us right now after moving to this area just a few weeks ago. We couldn't be more happy. Therefore, I've updated my review of QualTech to 5 stars - something I rarely do for any business. Because I'm also a business owner that relies heavily on positive reviews and word-of-mouth exposure, I know how important it is to QualTech to make sure that any poor review is attended to personally.
