I was having some work done inside my house and my grand piano that weighs over 1000 lbs needed to be moved 15 feet. Just 15 feet. Then put back in place. I got crazy estimates from piano movers that were all in the thousands....THOUSANDS. Then someone in the know told me about Quality Piano Movers. They showed up on time, moved the piano, said "give us 3 days notice to come back". They came back, moved the piano back and it was astonishingly reasonable and the people were terrific. Lisette acted like "this is what we do" and the movers were equally nonplussed and totally competent. Wow. These kind of people still exist. read more

I got a recommendation from a local piano tuner to use this company for moving my small upright down 16 stairs. I called and answered right away and asked me to send photos and gave me a quote right away. The fee was reasonable, they moved out the piano fairly quickly. The whole experience was very easy. read more

I first contacted Quality Piano Movers via email, and we were able to complete the quoting and scheduling entirely through email. They were able to schedule the move for the next day. The moving team encountered some traffic issues and arrived after the scheduled window, but they texted me ahead of time to let me know. Their communication was excellent, and the moving team was very professional. They worked quickly and protected my hardwood floors. read more

I recently needed a 9-foot concert grand that I purchased to be moved into my new home, which had a flight of stairs that was incredibly tricky to maneuver since it had a low ceiling near the front door. The stairs lead to the living room, which is where I wanted the piano places. When I had bought the piano, the dealer hired a different mover that surveyed the stairs of my house and refused to move it into the house, saying that it was too tricky. They left the piano in the garage and went on their way. After speaking to Lisa on the phone last Friday about my situation and sending her pictures of the questionable stairs, she didn't think it was a problem so we scheduled an appointment for the next day. Beto came in last Saturday with 3 other movers and also believed the ceiling may prove troublesome, but after just actually trying it to power through getting it up those steep stairs with the low ceiling, my concert grand piano is now in my home! I truly couldn't be happier. Thank you, Beto! read more

Great job, would hire again! I needed to move a 400-lb upright piano from a curbside moving crate up a set of exterior stairs and into our unit, across a concrete storage space floor, and into a carpeted room. After contacting various piano moving businesses on Yelp and elsewhere about 2 weeks in advance for a quote and availability, Lisset was the most responsive and prompt. I think NextDoor actually first pointed me to this company. On the day of, Lisset and her team did an efficient and careful job of it - laying out moving blankets over the course the piano would take, coordinating picking up and putting down the piano, alternating using a piano board (stairs) and dolly (off the crate and over the floor), and slowly manuevering around door frames and other furniture/obstacles. They also wore masks, which was appreciated. All in all, a quick job, but quality piano moving :) - I feel better compensating at a higher rate given the priceless cargo and feat undertaken. read more

I first contacted Lisa two years ago for a quote to move an upright piano from the upstairs living room down to the basement. Two years later, their quote was still the same and got the move done in less than an hour. Beto and his team did an amazing job. They were professional, efficient, quick-thinking (they made a last minute change to use a different door to enter the room since they cannot move the piano over gravel) and skillful. Lisa is also very responsive when communicating. read more

My two pianos ( a 7' Baldwin and an upright Petrof) needed to be moved from the outer sunset district of San Francisco, to the Berkeley Hills. I could not have found better or more skillful piano movers. It was a very challenging move, but they knew exactly what to do, and what techniques to use. read more

Very affordable, reliable, and fast. Communication was excellent. Payment was easy. Movers were very careful (I watched them load and unload). They are based in Hayward so can easily accommodate all of your East Bay moves. I got four quotes, and they actually gave the best price for my move (by one third to half!). Not only were the the best priced, they were able to do the move the same week (sooner than the others!). I would definitely use them again, and if you have to move a piano don't hesitate to use them. read more

Last June, I had to have my mother's piano moved from my mother's house in the Oakland hills to Castro Valley. I was told by the estate sale agent at 6:40 pm on a Monday, that I need to get it out by the next day between 8:00-3:00 pm. I called 2 other places but one was closed for the day while the other one said they'll talk to me in the morning. After saying a very earnest prayer I called A-1 Piano Movers whom I've used before years ago. I didn't know that they're now called Quality Piano Movers! Lisette answered the phone and after telling her my dilemma, she called Beto. The next day my mother's piano was moved to my home by 12 noon. I am so grateful!!!! I am now calling them again this time to move my Dad's piano. read more

Great service. Quick, on time and affordable. They took great care of moving my grand piano.

My Dad's soul is in my piano. This piano has been in the family since I was a toddler. I did not take any chance and hired Quality piano movers. Seeing these guys move the piano is like looking at a Formula 1 team changing tires. They are fast, hyper professional and you feel safe with them. Don't hesitate, hire them if your piano has a great value to you. They are awesome! Gilles read more

They are the best. I had them move my Piano twice and several Pianos for my students. They are so professional.

They did an excellent job of moving our piano since our hardwood floors were being redone. They just moved it back in and again they did quality work! Very easy people to work with. read more

Fast, professional, highly skilled, and friendly! At first I was worried about whether it is possible to move a 5'0" baby grand in the 90-degree turn of my narrow staircase. I was so impressed by how they made it possible and worked out well! Highly recommended! read more

We found Quality Piano Movers on yelp. We were really happy with their service. When I first called in for an estimate, I was asked very specific questions about our piano (mid-size upright) and the move (ie access for pick-up and drop-off locations, number of steps/turns, etc). I was also impressed with their transparent quote. I had been trying to book a piano mover and had given up on a few other vendors (I had left voicemails but did not hear back from them). So when I reached out to Quality Piano Movers, I was very excited to reach a human being and not an answering service or voicemail. I thought the pricing is very reasonable and to my delight, they had availability the very next day! During the move, the office was in close communication with me regarding the ETA. We had agreed upon a 3hr window for pickup but the office was also great about calling me 30-45mins before. When I missed the call, the office called my husband to make sure I received the message. It was great. The guys were very careful and efficient with the actual move. They moved our piano with precision and ease. Once the piano was loaded into the truck, I drove off to meet the guys at the drop-off location. The office called me during my drive to let me know the guys were making one stop to pickup another piano before dropping off our piano. I had the flexibility so told her it was fine. I really appreciated the thorough communication. We are very pleased with the move and will definitely hire Quality Piano Movers in the future! read more

Lisset was responsive and very helpful. I emailed her and she got back to me right away with a quote. Although I shopped around for quotes, when I got back to confirm with her, she worked quickly to make it happen in about 48 hours. We had to swap two pianos between two houses and they did an awesome job. They came to the first house and worked delicately but quickly. They were done in about 1.5 hours. I would recommend them again! THANK YOU! read more

Did a great job helping me move my piano. Would def hire then again. On time and as promised.

I have used Quality Piano movers a number of times now and they have always done a superb job! Lisa and Beto are awesome and watching them handle the pianos with care tells you that they have mastered the art of moving. Today, they moved my Steinway M and it was flawless all throughout. They are punctual, trustworthy, polite, professional and the cost is very reasonable. Definitely, I will rely on them for my future piano moves! read more

Excellent customer service, great communication, professional movers! We had to move a piano from Richmond to Daly City, I am so glad we found Quality Piano Movers. Lisa was very quick in returning my initial call with a quote. She also picked up directly or called right back with my follow up questions. She provided us with a window for the pick up and then another the delivery. She also gave us a 15 mins heads up prior to the truck arriving. The movers showed up right on time, packed the piano carefully for the transport, and was equally careful bringing it up a flight of stairs at the destination. True professionals. The whole process was easy(for me...I didn't have to do the heavy lifting), painless and I will absolutely use them again in the future. read more

This is our second time moving this grand piano using Quality Piano Movers. Beto and his team did a fantastic job moving the Steinway baby grand piano to our new home in Pacifica. It took the three-man team only 10 minutes to take it apart and ready to move, then into the truck it went, all securely wrapped up and tied. We had 7 steps at the delivery location, and they tackled those within 10 minutes. All in all, the piano is now happily sitting in the new home, still in tune and playing very well! They even offered us to replace the casters that protect the floor, at a small charge! Lisa also did a great job coordinating and planning the move over the phone. All in all, a great company to work with. Thank you! read more

They helped me to move my upright piano a month ago. They really did a great job! Professional, affordable and fast! Highly recommended!!

Quality piano movers were super professional, careful and quick at moving our baby grand! I highly recommend them!

We recently had Beto and his family move 4 pianos for us. Despite a lot of stairs and turns, they did an excellent job with all moves. They are very quick, communicate well, and got the job done as painlessly for us as possible. We highly recommend them for piano moves. An added feature is that they go to the LA area at least once a month and can move pianos up from there or down to there very cheaply as a part of their regular runs. Because of this, they were able to move a 6' baby grand from Orange County to San Francisco for under $600. read more

Absolutely great! I had a fantastic experience with Beto and his team. They were able to schedule my piano move the day after I called them, they were on time and called ahead to give me a heads up. They were incredibly fast and efficient. Piano out of my friends home, into their truck and up my curved front stairway and into the front room in less than an hour. These guys are pros at working with small city stairways and they were careful with both the piano and the flooring. Pricing is more than fair and they were a pleasure to work with. Quality movers were exactly as their name states, incredible quality. Super positive experience and honestly no issues to report! I needed a baby grand piano moved from SF to almost discovery Bay/East bay Area and these guys had availability the next day or in 2 days. I opted for next day. I had tried contacting 4 other companies who either never responded or needed all these requirements before giving a quote like exact measurements of piano, quantity of stairs involved, etc., but not Quality Movers. Here's a run down of our excellent transaction: - easy communication via phone and text and actually called me back (other local companies failed at this) - transparency about their quote for the move (a flat rate), stairs (1 price per stair) and turns (a short range) and no surprise fees at end - text updates of ETA within 20-30 minutes of arrival to both pick up and drop off - on time, arriving to both pick up and drop off in the middle of their 2-3 hour range. - quick but delicate handling of piano and assembly with 13 narrow outdoor stairs involved at pick up - appreciate crew wearing and keeping masks on during whole transaction - even helped me with staging the piano in the room. The 3-person crew were patient with me being indecisive about the piano placement (since this was also a purchase I hadn't seen in person until it's arrival) and helped me move its place 4 times in the room until I was satisfied - even the sellers at the pick up location called me specifically to rave about their positive experience with the movers (I was not present at pick up) Highly recommended for professional, smooth and kind transaction! Thanks Quality Movers! read more

Quality Piano Movers - Excellent, swift job and even protected my floors! - Movers Near Me

We used Quality Piano Movers to move our upright grand from downstairs to upstairs though where the stairs have a 90 degree turn. They had a transparent quote. They were punctual. They were careful with the piano. They wrapped it in protective blankets. They moved it in a methodical, measured and patient manner. They have knowledge about pianos and don't just treat the pianos as one heavy box that need purely raw power to move. First they took off any removable parts to reduce the weight, and then moved the piano one step at a time, while making sure that the piano was always properly supported. They took breaks to discuss and coordinate each step and the turn. Our experience with Quality Piano Movers, stands in stark contrast to another team we contacted before them. The other movers were three burly men. The first thing their leader uttered on seeing the piano was "Why do you want to move such a heavy piano upstairs? You should have smaller piano." Then in trying to do the move, they made multiple attempts, one of which involved putting the piano on its side. In the end they did not get the piano upstairs, and damaged the piano too (stripped the screw from the cover). Our experience with the other movers makes our experience with Quality Piano Movers even more remarkable. I highly recommend quality piano movers. read more

I had a narrow last-minute window to move my beloved 1924 Krakauer upright. Quality Piano Movers shoehorned me into their schedule, and then stayed right with me through the difficulties with the loading zone, the freight elevator, all the things I would have worked out in advance if I'd had more time. And, they didn't charge a penny extra! Smart, professional group; very much appreciated. Sincerely, Lucy read more

My Steinway grand piano is, quite simply, the most important thing in my house! Quality Piano Movers did a fabulous job of moving it out for a much-needed restoration and then back again to my living room, where it fills my heart with joy every single day. They were utterly professional: they arrived when they said they would; they came prepared for unexpected contingencies (in my case, a gate that needed to be temporarily removed from my deck before they could get the piano up the stairs); they were courteous, efficient, and extremely careful with my most precious baby! Highly recommend! read more

Another satisfied customer. My entryway is very narrow, and I was understandably worried. But they navigated it well and got the piano out of my house without harm to it or the house. And they did this in record time. I appreciated that they gave us a window of time (two hours) days in advance. They were very flexible about scheduling. I called a couple of other piano movers. The others require you to keep the whole day free, and they only tell you your two-hour window of time the day before. That would have been a huge hassle and inconvenience. Quality schedules an appointment in advance, and will also call you about 30 minutes prior to coming. And, even given Bay Area unpredictable traffic, they were on time. If you move a piano, you must get a professional piano mover. Do not use a standard moving company. I did this years ago, and was very sorry. They just don't have the skills to move a piano. Quality also gave us a great price. And when you call, you'll get a real person on the phone. If you have to leave a message, someone gets back to you right away. They also have a huge truck, with a power lift. So they have the necessary equipment to do the job right. read more

Quality Piano Movers moved a piano for me today, from a friend's home to my own. We have a narrow, steep driveway (or a lot of steps), and they deftly navigated all obstacles with precision and care. They set up the piano for us, and made sure we were happy with its placement. They also let me know that one corner of the piano is not quite level with the others, which I'm not sure I would otherwise have noticed, and offered to help us with it. I needed my piano moved down a tight Edwardian stair case to the lower floor, at the last minute, right before the holidays. QPM responded first of the companies I contacted. Offered to do it the first business day following my request. Showed up on time. I was on the phone and my husband showed them where it was going to go and up to where it was. All of a sudden he was high signing me to get off the phone. The piano was moved. I hadn't heard a thing. It took them less than 10 minutes. There was not a scratch on the piano or the walls. And they charged me less than quoted. I love it when a company not only meets, but exceeds expectations. And I love playing my piano in its new home! read more

Quality Piano movers did a great job moving an upright Yamaha U1. We emailed a few places for quotes, and they were both the most responsive and had the best price. I needed to move an antique upright piano from inside the house into the garage, which entailed going down 14 front steps. I was a bit nervous about it, as I had vague recollections of movers bringing the piano into the house some 20 years ago. The wood floors got dented, the front steps had paint knocked off, and the whole process looked rather dangerous with three or four guys wedged between the stair railings and the piano. Scheduling was easy, Beto and two assistants arrived on time, and the move was accomplished quickly and expertly. They used a board device and straps to gently glide the piano down the stairs; it was amazing to watch. The cost was also quite reasonable; in fact, it was 1/3 of what a furniture moving company quoted me for the piano alone as part of an estimate to move various pieces of furniture around within the house in order to prepare for a remodeling project. I decided to look for someone else to move the piano, and I'm glad that I did. If Beto and his assistants moved other types of furniture I would hire them for that as well; however, they only move pianos. read more
