My husband & I decided to upgrade our 2012 Mazda to a 2015 Mazda 5. I found the website and found our salesman, Ben Vigil. Ben was awesome. He was able to give us a great deal. I was amazed at how easy it was to pick out the right car that fit our needs, get a good deal on our trade in plus a Mazda loyalty bonus from Mazda. Our sales man, Ben Vigil was there for us all the way through the buying process. But he didn't end his service there. I decided a week later that I wanted to pair my smart phone with our new Mazda 5. He just do it for me, he taught me how to do it myself. This way, when I upgrade to a new phone later this year, I can pair my new phone. Love being able to answer my phone while I am driving. But Ben didn't end his involvement there. When we got our license plate, he put it on for us. We are older and my husband is disabled so having Ben there for us was a huge plus. If I could zero stars, I would. The service department is the worst in Albuquerque. They are extremely rude. They do not care about their customers. I have gone there 3 times and all of the times they have an attitude and clearly do not know what good customer service is. I pay for warranty to get my oil changed and my tires rotated, but at this point I would rather pay to get it done then go back to them because that is how horrible they are. The first time I went, they said they do appointments but when I get there they say they don't. If you don't do appointments then take it off your website. The next time I went, I got there at 6:50 (and they opened at 7:30) to make sure I was the first person in line because I had work after. It hits 7:30 and I go inside and they completely ignore me and help ALL OF THE OTHER CARS BEHIND ME FIRST. I was standing in line to talk to the advisor and this old lady walks right in front of me and the service advisor doesn't say anything and helps her. After helping her, he walks away and goes to the back and says "who is next?" Are you serious? I tell him that I have been waiting here since 6:50 and basically tells me "oh well" and that it isn't his problem. Worst customer service in Albuquerque. Do not go there. I was a little upset about the new 2019 mazda3 hatchback I bought a little less than a year ago, the camera had issues overheating and there were numerous warnings that they were unable to stop from flashing while I was driving. I found out after I bought the car that it was common for the 2019's to have camera issues and Mazda updated their cameras in 2020. I almost traded for a different car but there weren't many good options and the dealership wasn't about to give me any 'deals'. I'm sure I was getting annoying bringing my car in all the time for the recalls and for all the issues it had. I had to wait for a few months before they could get the parts in to replace the camera (through no fault of their own - due to pandemic related distributor issues) - but I was finally able to have the camera replaced there and they refunded the money I had put into trying to fix it before since it turned out to be covered under the warranty. All in all, I'm happy my car works well now, and looking back, I had a great experience initially buying it, with little haggling and little pressure, so overall I would recommend this dealership. The only advice I'd give is read up about the car you want to buy and if it's a brand new model for the year, be aware there are probably a few recalls and issues that may not be well known yet... read more

Ask for Andrew Heavner at Quality Mazda! I had the best car buying experience in my 44 years at Quality Mazda with salesman Andrew Heavner. Andrew sent me a personalized YouTube video regarding the Mazda3 I was interested in. He worked hard to get me the price I wanted, all by phone, and went I got to Quality Mazda EVERYTHING WAS EXACTLY AS ANDREW SAID IT WAS! No hidden fees, no dealer add-on costs. Everything was on the up and up and exactly as we discussed via phone. It took me a little less than 2 hrs to purchase the car. Andrew introduced me to the service department folks who explained what they offer, which was a nice touch. Financing was easy since I was already pre-approved and the actual sale was a no pressure, including no pressure regarding extending warranty, which I did purchase. Andrew then went through most of the major features of the vehicle (e.g. pairing my phone with the car, explaining cruise control, safety features, MazdaConnect, etc. Andrew was polite, not rushing or moving too slow, and measured in our conversations. Lastly, of the other Mazda dealerships I talked to (see below), Andrew was the only one who mentioned that Mazda was donating $200(?) to a charity of my choice. Andrew gave me all the information to make the donation online by entering my new car's VIN (I choose local NM Ronald McDonald house). I highly recommend Quality Mazda and Andrew Heavner (no we are not related or know each other personally). Now, do not go to University Mazda. I want there before going to Quality Mazda and got to work with "Jeff". Jeff was inexperienced. I tried to negotiate price with him and instead he increased the price by adding LoJack to the cost of the car. Jeff did not go through the price sheet with me, just handed it to me so that I could discover for myself that he jacked up the price with LoJack to the cost of the car. Oh, and they offered a free iPad too, which Jeff kindly took off $400 dollars off the car if I didn't want it. Thanks, but I can afford my own iPad as not part a car purchase. In the end, University Mazda would not reduce price AT ALL. Jeff did follow up twice with me by phone, again, never offering to reduce the price. On the second phone follow-up, I told Jeff that I just bought the exact same car (new 2015 Mazda3 S Grand Touring, loaded, for $27500 out the door (including tax, title, registration)) at Quality Mazda for the price I told Jeff I wanted from him. I also inquired out of state for this vehicle, at Camalback Mazda in Phoenix. For the same vehicle, the dealership totally misrepresented the cost of the car between the "internet price" I was given, and then failed to mentioned the $3000 dollars of dealer add-ons which was basically scotch guard on the interior, tinted windows, and a nice wax job. The sales people are so courteous and, unlike most dealerships, don't descend on you like vultures. Ask for Andrew Heavner at Quality Mazda!! This was my first time buying a car. I was very nervous since I was not sure what kind of car I wanted or where to go. My first stop was the Mazda dealership on Lomas at 7:30am. This is when we first met Andrew Heavner. He was very knowledgeable, transparent, he listened to my car needs and fulfilled them all! One of my many, many needs was a car that would allow space for both of my German Shepard Dogs in the back cargo area. He was gracious enough to allow us to get both of our dogs in the car to make sure I was satisfied with the space for my dogs. I fell in love with the CX-5! I knew this was an amazing car that fit all of my needs: enough room for the dogs, safety, sporty, responsive.... I still visited other dealerships to make sure there was not another car that I wanted more. Andrew was very relaxed and had no problem with us checking other places out. At all of the other places I went, the sales people were very pushy, eager, and would try anything to get me to buy now. I NEVER felt this pressure from Andrew. I even checked out other Mazda dealerships and I don't feel like I was taken seriously as a buyer. In the end, I knew I wanted the Mazda CX5 and returned to Andrew even though the one I wanted was at the Santa Fe dealership. He was able to get us the one we wanted from the other dealership for the price we wanted!! Andrew was very pleasant, transparent, and willing to go the extra mile to make us happy! My wife and I had a very good experience with the folks at Quality Mazda. We needed a new car and they had a very good selection of vehicles, and an excellent sales staff to take care of us. A very nice man took care of us, listened well to our needs, and the sales process was a breeze. Not the usual "I have to talk to my sales manager" line when negotiating. The financing was easy too, although, as with every dealership, they wanted to sell a number of coverages that people should be very careful about selecting. Today is March 28, 2012. I visited Quality Mazda today to see a 2010 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Rubicon, stock number 12QP054. In the internet it was priced as "Discounted Internet Price: $34,995.00." After the test drive and some discussion, the salesman went to see the manager to "run the numbers". When he returned there was an additional "profit" of $1450.00 added. After some discussion I left the dealership. Buyer beware, these are not honest people or they would not have to result to the "bait and switch" routine. read more

A new car is one of the most expensive things (besides a house) most of us will ever purchase. Buying one is rarely easy or pleasant; sometimes the whole experience is an absolute nightmare that will sour your driving experience for years to come. My wife and I recently purchased an $18,000 SUV from Quality Mazda (a DiLorenzo company), and every time we unlock the door we are reminded of the poor treatment we received at the hands of Vince DiLorenzo and his miserable team. Why every time we unlock the door? For starters, because the advertisement we responded to listed "remote keyless entry" as one of the features of our vehicle. While my wife and I signed the paperwork in the finance office, our salesman, Phil B., split for the day, failing to hand over the key with the keyless entry device. When we went back inside to ask the sales director, Chris N., for the remote device, he replied that that was our salesperson's responsibility and we'd have to ask him. We had that chance the next day, because on the drive back home to Santa Fe we noticed a loud whining noise coming from the transmission and decided to return the car for an inspection first thing in the morning. Phil said there wasn't any keyless entry device (then why was it advertised?) and the sales manager, Ben V., promised to "make it right" for us. Did he? Nope. Not ever. Thanks, Ben! Replacement cost for the device was $380.00; Quality wouldn't even entertain the notion of providing us with the advertised device, or reimbursing us for its replacement. Oh, and the transmission noise? Quality technicians told us it was just normal engine noise (why did we ever think they would give us an honest answer in the first place?). Normal engine noise? Not even close.... 2 days later, Beaver Toyota in Santa Fe determined it to be a problem with the differential, and said the transmission would probably need to be replaced. They also pointed out that Quality had sold us the vehicle with brand new rear tires, and worn down front tires by another manufacturer with a different tread pattern, a combination which on a 4WD vehicle like ours, according to the Toyota manual, can lead to severe transmission (differential) damage, and possible loss of vehicle control resulting in operator injury or death. Thanks, Quality!!! Rather than risk DEATH or further damage to the transmission by driving the vehicle back to Albuquerque for Quality to deal with, we found a tire dealer in Santa Fe that could order us new front tires to match the rear tires. Do you think Quality reimbursed us for the 2 new front tires (another $350.00)??? Nope. When you sign the paperwork and they have your money, they are DONE with you, my friend. Period. There are so many car dealerships tup and down Lomas; I dearly wish we had not pulled into Quality Mazda when we needed a car. No company that has so little regard for their customer's satisfaction or safety should get your money; you worked hard for it, you should get a car you love from a dealership that values your business and wants you to feel good about your purchase. In our experience, Quality Mazda is absolutely NOT that company! All of our friends and relatives in New Mexico and beyond know that; now you do too! Thanks for reading this! read more

Everything has been a mess here. I would not recommend doing business with this group. We purchased our first brand new car from them back in January 2013 it was a CX-9 it has already been to the shop twice the first time for a bad wheel bearing which was fixed after 2 weeks in the shop. It took them one week to figure it out another 3 days to just order the part and then it was finally fixed. In the process of fixing the wheel bearing they bent the dust shield on the front brakes which caused it to scrape the rotor. This took them another week to fix. Horrible customer service from Daniel, I am extremely dissatisfied. We had bought the oil change plan from them at the times of the sale but since have returned it because this service department will never again see our brand new car. As I type this it has been three months since we returned the oil changes and STILL NO REFUND yet. The finance department here is a joke as well. DO NOT BUY FROM HERE. again I saw DO NOT DO ANY BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY THEY WILL BURN YOU!!!! read more
