Soft sell to buy a color on the lot. We found 2 cars matching what she wanted up the highway. Pointed this out to the sales guy. They get it transferred & brought to ABQ the next day. I don't write reviews often, but after 20 years of working in the automotive dealership industry, I have never seen customer service this abysmal. This isn't just a minor complaint; it is a fundamental failure to support their customers. It took three full weeks of calling and leaving multiple messages just to get someone in the service department to pick up the phone. Once I finally made contact, I was informed that the repairs would not be covered because the warranty had expired. While I understand that warranties aren't infinite, here is the issue: just 15 months ago, I paid this specific Mazda dealership to fix a timing cover leak on my wife's car. Now, it is leaking from the exact same spot. Instead of standing by the quality of their work, they hid behind a 12-month policy. In the current market, it is standard for reputable shops and major brands like General Motors to offer at least a 24-month/unlimited-mile warranty on parts and labor. This dealership's 12-month limit is significantly below industry standards and shows a complete lack of confidence in their own technicians' work. If you value your time and want a repair that actually lasts, take your vehicle anywhere else. Always confirm the parts and labor warranty terms before you hand over your keys. Customer service in the service department is absurd. Idiot males that can't take two seconds to listen to you or answer your questions. -- I made an appointment and had proof in an email. They said I didn't have an appointment and refused to look into why it didn't show up on their end even though I gave them the confirmation number. I got a text saying "text this number anytime during your service" so I texted it for an update and got no reply. I went to where the guy was and he was on YouTube. I watched him look at the phone and ignore my message. I asked how much longer and he said another 45 min (already here two hours) for an oil change because he "can't bend the rules of the universe." THE WORST!!! Rude, insulting, unprofessional.... I just went in to purchase a tail-light for my 2009 CX-9, which someone broke. The parts manager would not come to the counter, but screamed from his office. He told me screamed that the price was $248, but might not be available because it is for an older vehicle. I asked if he could please print up a quote and he refused saying he could not do that. When I asked for the part number since now he is saying I would have to find it at a junk yard, again he refused. As I left the Parts Dept, I asked for the Manager, he was in the Service Dept. I explained what just occurred and he stated "Why should we give you the part number so you can purchase the part from someone else?" What a headache! I first expressed interest online and started getting emails and texts from a "Jeny", stating she was going to have someone text me, then call me to discuss the vehicle. It NEVER happened. I finally responded to one text asking if she (it?) was A-I and it never responded again. So then I go to their website and get the email address of their Sales Lead. I email her - no response to this day (5 weeks later). Then I reach out and get a hold of some other sales guy (Ben?). We have a couple of phone conversations and I tell him what I want and what I want to pay. He tells the the manager is out and he'll get back to me "tomorrow" with an answer. Four weeks later and there's no answer! I can only figure that all those 5 star reviews are fake, paid for or from 75 year old grandmas who walk in and pay asking price. read more

He sent a link to my phone to track the progress of the maintenance performed by the technician. Shortly after that he came to the waiting room to finalized the process. My infatuation for the Miata goes back to 1989-90. This was the first time I had spied a Miata and it was love at first sight. I was 18 at the time and did not have the ability to purchase this adorable car but my desire to own one never left me. Fast forward 30 years to 2019 when my husband and I decided we would just "go look". Famous last words. When we pulled up to the lot it was like a beacon of sunshine highlighting my car with flashy lights and blinking signs that said HELLO! PICK ME! HERE I AM! I worked with James and he let me test drive the car and even offered for me to take it home and try it out for the night. Oh James, you read the desires of my heart. Honestly this car had me at Hello. We signed the papers the next day and I am now the proud owner of my dream car. Yes, the Miata is my dream car. "Excellent experience" would be a 2-word summary of my experience obtaining a vehicle at Quality Mazda. Audra was amazing! I moved from another state in which car sales turn-over is high and competition is high as well, therefore good prices and good service is a standard for car dealerships at my home city to survive. When I planned to move to Albuquerque, I didn't know what to expect but quickly realized that the options aren't that diverse, and because there are only few dealerships, I wasn't treated as well I was used to at my home state by some of NM dealerships. This changed when I called Audra at Quality Mazda; it was so refreshing to shop with her. Actually, I was able to make a deal with her over the phone (due to Covid, and in my case, I was at another state) without waywardly only being offered in-person quotes. Why? Because from what I saw, she knew she had the best price and the best service, undoubtedly. I truly enjoyed my experience with Audra because the pressure was low, and she truly wanted to get me a car that I would like rather than the dealership trying to get rid of their inventory. She's a great listener, and she truly goes above and beyond to keep you happy. I think it's because we clicked, but she was so polite that she offered to pick me up when the car was ready and allowed me to get a lender car for a short while. She truly bends backwards for her clients. I can see why she's their #1 dealer. In my opinion, it is unusual to come across such great reps/dealers that she deserves the proper recognition and praise. Writing this on the verge of tears and anger. "Quality" Mazda should probably change their name. Nothing here is quality. Took $12k + to fix our family 2007 Mazda Cx-7. We were assured that all of these very costly repairs would get us back on the road. We had to bring the car back 4 times over 2.5 months and it still is not working. In fact, it's worse. We haven't driven it in 2 months, not sure how it could possibly get worse but it has. 0 care or concern from anyone in the service department. No refund. No apologies. Nothing. From any of them. Dan, Bill, or the bald extra rude man. This was our car to transport our 8 month old twins in. No care or concern at all. Guess we can just bike them to doctor appointments? Guess we can just go F ourselves? That was the overall attitude I got today and every other time we had to bring it back. They should have never agreed to do these fixes, since they clearly were in way over their head and had no idea what they were doing or getting into.They even had to contact Mazda directly for help and that still didn't fix it. If they had ever given any doubt about it working again we wouldn't have done it, but to give us hope just to lose out on $12k. wow. How do you all sleep at night? Never once did a manager contact us either, and after asking for one the last time. I guess it would have been better if the car was stolen? Now we're out a working car AND 12k. We're also now in the market for two new cars as my husband needed a different commuter car, so i guess we will be going elsewhere for those It's a shame too, to be so disappointed. I've never ever been so upset about a mechanic or dealership. a maybe we would still be out the money either way, maybe we misunderstood their hope of things getting fixed. The final straw was picking it up today to go do whatever we're going to do and not getting a damn ounce of care or compassion from ANYONE here about how hard this is on us. I bought a 2024 Mazda CX50 Meridian Turbo last month from Quality. The two salespeople I worked with Leica and Ben were knowledgeable and helpful without being overbearing. They listened, commented, advised and knew exactly what I wanted and had me test driving in less than 20 minutes from walking in the door. This was a 100% opposite approach, night and day, I am sorry to say, that I received at Larry H. Miller Toyota on alameda Blvd. when I went to look at a RAV 4... and I am a very happy Highlander owner to boot also. We negotiated a price and I drove away with the CX50 that day. While I was there, I checked out the Maintenace Dept. and was favorably impressed with the staff there and the organization of their operations. I recommend Quality Mazda. So we went to Quality Mazda service department when our 2017 CX-5 broke down one night on the side of the freeway. Jack Farley the service manager gave us the worst experience during an already difficult situation. The way he handled our situation really represents the death of the service industry. I guess they just don't care. He came at us aggressively and when we asked why the Mazda doesnt come with the part necessary to tow the vehicle he asked me what my job was. I dont understand why it was necessary to know what my job is to do his. But what I do know is that he never resolved the issue with the vehicle and every time we asked him for any help he was condesinding and rude and just made a bad situation worse. It was a shame because what makes a business good is not only the product they produce; but the help and the service they provide to their customers and this is where they fall completely flat. read more

We purchased a brand new CX-50 a few months ago and we love it. But, when we came in for our first oil change, the service department told us that we didn't have a basic maintenance package on our vehicle and wanted $95 for the oil change. Our sales guy, Ben Vigil, repeatedly told my wife and I that we wouldn't have to worry about oil changes for 2 years or X amount of miles on a new vehicle purchase. I tried reaching out to him over the last week and he has not responded to me. Pretty disappointing situation. We had to replace a new CX-50 that was unfortunately totaled in an accident (not our fault). In trying to duplicate the car we lost, we wound up going to Quality in Albuquerque, even though it was a 400+ mile round-trip commute. That being said, both our sales rep Ben Vigil and Sales/Finance Manager Pavel Harbinsky made the trip more than worthwhile. Given the distance - and a number of phone calls - we were able to conclude ALL details of the sale over the phone; we only had to make the drive, sign on the line and get the keys. This was the absolute best car purchase process we have ever been through - and there have been a bunch. Especially given the circumstances, these folks bent over backwards to get the deal done on terms that worked out well for both us and for the dealership. BEWARE!!! HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE! I purchased my MAZDA CX- 5 2017, in July 2017. This was my first brand new car. The sells team was fantastic and sought out all my concerns and questions. Fast forward to January 2019, My MAZDA NIGHTMARE began, Well driving on the freeway home at 9:00pm at night, the vehicle broke down. At approx. 77mph on cruise control the car "chugged twice" and I managed to pull over. I tried restarting it several times but it did not turn on. I then proceeded to call the Mazda roadside assistance to get towed. The telephone operator told me they could tow me to the nearest Mazda dealership (which wasn't the dealership whom I normally take my car to) and they wouldn't accommodate taking my partner who was with me for the tow. I decided to ask them to hold on and called AAA through my insurance. AAA would accommodate taking my car to my desired dealership and have my partner go with me and also take me home. So of course I went with AAA. When the tow truck driver arrived with the flatbed truck he proceeded to tell us that we needed the towing eyelet hooks that attach to the front bumper of the car in order to pulled up onto the flatbed. We looked next to the vehicles jack and spare tires but the eyelet hooks were not present. There was a slot there for them.. but Mazda failed to provide me with them in this brand new car. I referred to the owner's manual just to make sure. Sure enough the manual instructed to use the tow eyelets in order to hook on to the frame of the car to pull onto the tow truck. The tow truck driver told me he could hook on to the exposed aluminum underneath the car, but would have to sign a damage waiver considering it wasn't proper and could damage the alignment of my car! The tow truck driver told us that we would need a tow truck with wheel dollies in order safely and properly tow the car. So I called back Mazda's roadside assistance and the operator told me they did not have that type of truck. We then worked with AAA again and they sent 2 other tow truck companies but both had flat beds and told us the same thing that they would not be able to tow the car properly. AAA tried desperately to find a suitable tow truck with wheel dollies but no one would be able to tow us until the morning. It was past midnight and my caution lights died on my vehicle, it was freezing and I had exhausted all my resources. I was forced to leave my car broken down on the side of the freeway and Uber home. The next morning I arrived at my vehicle and it was broken into with all my possessions stolen! AAA finally was able to help us secure a tow truck with wheel dollies to tow my car to Quality Mazda. Upon arriving to Quality Mazda I asked to speak to the manager and was met by "Jack Farley". I explained to Jack the whole situation. I was told that the towing eyelet hooks were an after-market part that I needed to purchase separately!!!! AN EMERGENCY TOWING PIECE WAS SOMETHING I HAD TO BUY AFTER MARKET!! Jack was unprofessional and rude to my partner and I. He just argued back and forth with us instead of trying to resolve any of our issues. He expressed no sympathy for the fact that the Brand new 2017 Mazda CX-5 with 20,000 miles broke down on me while I was on the freeway and in turn caused these nightmare of events to occur!! I was then told that he would contact corporate and also the Mazda roadside assistance and get back to me. Jack never contacted me again about resolving any of my issues! I was loaned a rental car while maintenance worked to figure out why my car broke down. After 3 days I was told that they could not find anything wrong with my car and that I needed to come and get it. Then I asked about the issue with my vehicles broken window and the body damage that was done upon break in. This would have never happened if my car did not break down or if it could have been towed! I was hoping they could fix or at least offer me a discounted price to repair the damages. But the service guy "Squid" was really rude and told me I had to go through insurance. This was stressful but okay, I understood. I expressed my concern of how I would be towed the next time the car broke down, Squid told me that they called around town to auto towing shops and there is no such thing of having to tow with the eyelet tow hooks. I was told by 3 different towing professionals that towing the vehicle without them would damage it. He argued with me and was very rude. I then asked "When I pick up the vehicle can you show me where to tell the towing company where to hook onto it?" He said no!! When I picked up my vehicle, the Quality Mazda service people test drove it some 100 miles when preforming the repairs. They did not even clean the broken glass from the window and the glass was everywhere through the car! I purchased my car from Quality in May (Miata RF) of last year. I stupidly let the Finance Manager talk me into oil changes and was told I could make an appointment for any necessary service. I thought I made an appointment at 7 am on Saturday and called to verify that I would be our by 0830. I was told if I was in line. Why do you have to get in line if you have an appointment? Well. we don't really take appointments. I feel lied to and also do not feel the quality of the car is great. We lost our battery after less than six months, there are missing fasteners on the inside of the car and when you take your car for service, they don't even wash it. I would totally NOT RECOMMEND THIS DEALERSHIP, especially for service. Andrew was great to work with, but he has since left the company. read more

This review is about the Service Department. I scheduled a 4:30 oil change for a Friday afternoon. I got off work early to do this. When I got there I was told that they stop doing oil changes at 4 pm. I told them I scheduled online and they said it's a "glitch" that Mazda has. I was then told I could a schedule for a Saturday or another day. I told them I scheduled for a day and time that were convenient for me. Such a waste of my time and I will definitely not ever go back for Service or to buy another vehicle. I would give 0 stars to the Service Department if that were an option!! read more

I bought my Mazda 3 from Quality going on three years ago. I always bring my car to be serviced here because I have all of my warranties and perks through Quality. That being said, I'll probably bring my car here even when my 5 year perks and warranties are up because the staff I work with are phenomenal, they know me as soon as that garage door goes up and they see my euro front plate! My family has bought many vehicles from them and we have never been disappointed! Genuine OEM parts are a great benefit to going to the dealership for maintenance plus knowing that my car is being worked on by certified Mazda Mechanics makes me feel that my Natasha (yes, my car is named) is in good hands! Daniel, Squid, and Ooftah (my nickname for the Norwegian in the Parts Dept) are always around and happy to help me with whatever odd request I have over my car! Wife and I were shopping for a new car for my daughter, as a present for graduating UNM. We live in California, and when we saw some online deals from Quality Mazda, we were sure that they were too good to be true. Long story short, we were wrong. From start to finish, the process was outstanding. Ben Vigil was our sales rep, and made me feel comfortable from the start. He was honest, transparent and listened, instead of talking. I was very leary, being nearly 1000 miles away, but he kept his word, and every promise. He took good care of my young daughter, and was "so very nice and made her feel special", when she came in for her test drive. No pressure, no upselling or confusion. Just straightforward and kind. Pavel Hrabinsky was introduced as our Finance Manager and he was equally impressive. At no time did it feel like I was dealing with your typical "closer". Down to earth, and like Ben, simply listened. He was extremely helpful, and could not have made things easier for us. Within no time, our daughter had the car she wanted, we got an unbelievable deal, and at no time did we feel uncomfortable or worried. He even arranged for all the paperwork to be sent to California, and walked us through the it, making it simple. I have to admit, in the back of my mind, I was waiting for the curveball. It never came. Got exactly what I was promised! How fantastic was the entire experience? We will be purchasing our next car (CX-9) through them. I have no issue making the quick flight to Albuquerque if it means I get to deal with them again. I've been an operator for a long time. I know this may sound a little over the top. I have the same comment/criticism as someone else on Yelp, and that is that while you can make an appointment with their service department, they won't keep it. No matter what you do they will tell you that you have to leave your car. I tried several times in several ways to find out how I could make an appointment that would allow me to wait while the car was serviced, and no matter how I phrased it I got the same answer. You have to leave your car all day. In fact, just to make it worse, they said I really should arrive at 7:00 a.m. if I wanted to make sure that my car was serviced that day. I live a far distance from Quality Mazda so I cannot do this unless I am willing to spend all day doing - well, I don't know what. And I have a problem that needs to be fixed. I made an appointment and did not find out until I drove all the way in to Albuquerque that they would not honor it. I made the appointment online. "Oh," I was told, "the online system will make an appointment whether or not there is someone available to work on your car." What? I have never heard of this. So be forewarned. Unless you can leave your car all day, their service department won't be any use to you. Obviously, I will not be going there ever again, and it will make me think twice about buying a Mazda again. I may even trade this car in even though it is not a year old so I can buy something where the dealer has good service. My sister has a Toyota, and they have always serviced her car immediately even if she just drives in without an appointment. read more

Quality Mazda took over the Mazda business on this side of town (the other is University VW/Mazda) a few years back. I've brought my car in twice for mostly recalls and a change of headlights. My comments on the service will be two pronged: The gentlemen that arrange your appointments and set everything up have been great. Friendly and informative. When it comes to your car being ready when it's promised ... not so much. Count on it taking a little more time than expected. I will commend the service department on honesty. I thought I was having brake problems, they checked it out and found nothing. They could have easily said that it needs "a new Johnson rod' and I wouldn't know the difference. Took my 80-year-old parents to look at CX5s. They wanted something smaller than their Toyota Highlander. Our experience with Xavi Lujan was troublesome. We walked onto the lot that clearly states Salesman free zone, but Xavi came out anyway. Xavi showed us some of the cars on the lot and suggested we go in to look at incoming inventory. My parents and I had our masks on. Xavi did not put his mask on, and we asked him to do so. He kind of did, but he did not cover his nose, pointless really. I could tell my parents were nervous. This was November 2021 and my mom had just broken her wrist. Urgent care was a nightmare because Covid 19 and hospitalization rates were skyrocketing. As a result, New Mexico had a Mask Mandate in place. Technically it's the law for him to be wearing a mask indoors. After we left, my parents let me know that they would not be interested in working with Xavi in the future. As salesmen do, Xavi texted me updates on CX5s. Recently I let him know that they would not be buying a car from him for the reasons I explained above. I was going to let it go until he texted back "If they are that worried, they should stay home". It made me angry, and I responded, "or stay away from idiots". Not proud of that but I find it hard to understand how a salesperson did not have the common courtesy to just put on a mask. read more

Worst customer service ever! I'd give a zero if it was an option. Sales rep and finance guy lied to us. I cannot get the manager to grow a set and call me back (I've called several times). The woman who handles the licensing never called us back even after I called wondering why we didn't have plates when our temp permit was running out. I finally had to get in touch with their main office to get another temp plate and have that woman forward my message Sharleen at Quality Mazda. Then I had to email her back the following week when I still hadn't heard from Sharleen. I still don't have plates!!!!!! My second temp plate is about to expire too. They screwed up our license and plates. They misspelled our last name on everything, including our loan. Never called to tell us that. Then, Sharleen sent the application in a second time without a VIN search or a copy of the loan agreement, which is required in our state. We told them that when we bought it and they showed us the Wyoming VIN search form with our paperwork. We wanted to finance through our own bank but they insisted we take the vehicle that day, rather than putting a deposit to hold it and coming back after talking to our bank. This was a Saturday so we wanted to wait until Monday to talk to our bank. They told us to fill out the loan application and they'd connect to our bank with it. They said they'd still sell it out from under us if we didn't take it that day even if we put a $5,000 deposit down.. They NEVER connected to our bank at all and our credit reports were pulled 6 times after we specifically said we didn't want that to happen and was promised it wouldn't. I had to call Capital One to fix the misspelled last name on the loan because they didn't even after they said they had. They said they'd filled a chip in the windshield but nope, it looks like someone half ass squeezed clear caulk in it. It looks like crap and right in the center of the windshield. They also said they detailed it but it was still dirty. Finally, my first trip to the Ford dealership is coming up because there's something wrong with the suspension and brakes. I've had this vehicle only 45 days or so. It's nothing I did to it. Absolutely the worst vehicle buying experience I've ever had!!!!! Don't buy from this dealership. I bought a Mazda Miata at Quality Mazda on 4/12/2019 ! I have a temporary sticker on my back window which obstructs my back view badly ! I still don't have my license plates and it will be ONE MONTH on Sunday ! I paid $389 in fees and I STILL DON'T HAVE MY LICENSE PLATES ! Patel Hrobinsky is a FRAUD ! He also owes me $1985 refund for CareGard ! I have filed a BBB complaint plus a DMV Complaint and an AG Complaint ! I want to take some time and express my love for this company! First of all, when I bought my car, it was the easiest and most pain free experience. Especially with how nice and caring the staff were. Marty helped me out a TON and I got a great deal with the Mazda first time buyer program. Also, I had to get an oil change and tire rotation done. Soon after that something went wrong with a cord connecting to my air conditioner (there are a lot of rats and bunnies where I work that may have chewed through it) and the care I received was amazing. I was given a ton of reassurance, kindness, quick service and was given a shuttle to the mall to shop while I waited for my car to be done. I worked with a guy named Sonny in maintenance who made me feel 100 percent welcome and everything was explained to me in detail. I love Mazda cars and the people here.
