So, long story shortened, vehicle is back home with repairs completed. Passenger side DRL light now works. Due to multiple mis-diagnoses and a parts cannon it took weeks instead of hours. Not over-impressed but just glad the vehicle is roadworthy at this point with proper headlights, oil change and new tires Sure hope nothing difficult breaks on this vehicle, really don't think they could handle it. Took my car in to get an oil change, now it's 7.5 hours later and they're telling me they may need to keep it overnight, absolutely ridiculous. It should have taken an hour or two, MAYBE, and even that's being generous. I took my car in for an emissions test and an oil service,, when they pulled the car up and charged me WAY over the estimate of work . quoted $114.00 for the differential service and charged $332.00 after I left the dealership my emission check was not ever done , had to go back for another 2 hours to get the test done. after reviewing the invoice after they added a $238 waste disposal fee,, called and asked about it ,, they said it was a mistake by refuse to give me a refused for the over charge do not take your car to this Steeler ship ,, Sandia BMW of Albuquerque what comes around goes around ... good luck Barry read more

The warranty has run out, but Joseph, my man in service, takes such good care of my car's needs, whether it be an oil change, recall work, a new battery, or whatever. They give me a loaner car when they can, to cover me for the day(s) I will be out of my own car. They send me a video about the work that is being done, so I am in the loop. The prices are comparable to other car repair places, or dealerships. I feel that they are a top notch dealership that takes great pride in their work, and keeping their customers happy. I've taken both of my BMW's here off & on for 5 years They've always been pricey, but convenient I've noticed over the last couple of years that the services has gotten worse. My previous service advisor retired and the new one has been less than helpful. The final straw was a cosmetic repair of interior trim that came off. It was 'repaired' along with other repairs and scheduled maintenance. It came off again within a month. When I called he told me that they hadn't replaced all of the clips the first time?!?!?!? I was then charged for the second repair. Neither time was it expensive, but it was a hassle and disrespectful of my time. It came off again soon after. This time, I told him that I should not be charged and he said he couldn't promise anything, but they'd diagnose for free. No thanks. read more

Sandia BMW didn't know if a major feature was offered, so emailed BMW Genius who said it was available. Shared the reply with Sandia BMW. Ordered an $80,000 SUV. On delivery and purchase, Sandia BMW tried to find why feature didn't work ("Had to do more research."). Emailed BMW Genius again, another replied feature wasn't even available, so first Genius was incompetent. With only 80 miles driven and in less than two weeks, Sandia BMW offered to buy it back --- at a $24,000 loss. Complained in detail to BMW and the owner of the dealership. Both walked away from any ethical responsibility. BMW, Sandia BMW, and its owner are not reputable. The Better Business Bureau gives BMW an "F" for nearly 100 unanswered recent complaints. read more

They worked us in and had us back on the road by 4:00. Service rep Alex was pleasant and easy to work with, treated us with respect and kept us updated. I arrived about 10 minutes early and was promptly greeted by a friendly receptionist who checked me in then escorted me to my service advisor. They BMW emailed me. Said they had a special on several sevices. One of which was an oil change for $39.99. I thought that was a good price, so I scheduled the oil change by filling out the forms and filling in a date that they provided in this email. Dropped off my car, and when I went to pick it up, the bill was $108.!! Instead of $39.99 + tax. I asked about the charge. Was told it was probably "the filter or something." I said the special stated it was $39.99. They asked to see the "coupon." There was no coupon. THEY emailed ME offering this special. I had to dig up the original email, the manager had to get involved. Only THEN did they honor their offer. If I hadn't made a big deal of it, they would have gladly overcharged me by MORE THAN double! I hate when businesses try to rip you off and / or take advantage of you! The local service here is still good, however their call center based in TX who does follow up calls, reminders, and is where all calls are now routed too is terrible. We do appreciate Jake in the service department here locally, however when we picked up our car this time after having it serviced it wasn't washed, we usually show up to a sparkling clean car. It seems the level of care and concern on dong things the way BMW owners expect has been finished, and it's unfortunate. I ordered my BMW in November, this car took almost 6 months to receive as I wanted it to be very specific (thus the long wait time). I dealt with Sandia BMW from Los Angeles as I was moving to New Mexico 2 months later. I was planning to purchase an 8 year old BMW from a private seller and wanted to get a Pre Purchase Inspection (PPI) completed since I was out of state and planned to purchase without seeing or driving the vehicle. I contacted Sandia BMW and dealt with Alex Wilks (Service Advisor) for the transaction. Alex contacted me once the seller arrived, walked me through the process, and placed my CC info on file. The PPI was completed in about 1-1.5 hr. Alex called me back and went through the findings and his recommendation on how the car is rated based on its age. Finally, Alex asked permission to go ahead and charge the CC on file. After the call I was emailed the PPI report which mimicked everything that was stated over the phone. Everything was smooth and professional. If I lived in the area, Sandia would have my repeated business. read more
