Food was delicious! We ordered the taiwanese beef noodle soup, the pinakbet, bangus sisig, and the ube flan turon. The pinakbet and bangus sisig comes each with a small cup of rice. Food was portioned well. The taiwanese beef noodle soup was hearty and perfect for the chilly weather! This was recommended by Norma from Norma's Flowers which was right next door! Noodles were long and al dente, the beef was tender, and if you're a fan of cilantro- oh yes it had lots! The server did say you can ask without if you're not a fan. Mom said the only thing was she wanted a bit more brother because we devoured it lol! Bangus sisig was crispy enough and so flavorful! The only thing I was missing is the raw egg cracked on top to cook with it! But otherwise, def going back for this as it was my fave! Mom enjoyed the pinakbet! Alot of the vegetables weren't too soft and still had a nice crunch. Paired really well with the rice. Well- what filipino dish doesnt go well with the rice! :) The only thing I'd recommend is not having the chocolate drizzle over the turon. If you want the turon pieces less sweet you scoop it with the ube which had such good consistency! Or you scoop it with the flan for the sweetness. It's still fairly new and love to see this place succeed! If I'm correct the cook is the husband and the baker is the wife! Great food and ambiance overall! The ambiance of the restaurant itself is nice, it has very high ceilings and has neutral colors... could use some decor but nothing major as I look for great food. However, there is one downfall, the service was terrible, we were there for over 15 minutes before someone brought us water but there was no acknowledgment whatsoever and 25 minutes before someone took our order. They took our order because my husband called them over as it seems as though the waiter kept ignoring us and the person that did take our order came out of the kitchen. Granted they were busy but they gave menus and took someone else's order before our and that table arrived about 15 minutes after we did. New Filipino restaurant located in Union Center. Down the street from my job so I decided to stop in for my lunch. I got the "Tingly Cumin" and it was delicious and very flavorful! One thing about me is I am a sucker for a good lemonade and this place has just that! Their dragonfruit lemonade is SOOOO good! I have also tried their Iced Tea lemonade which is yummy as well. I went to this place yesterday with my best friend. We were seated immediately. And got the Mango Dragonfruit Lemonade, which I highly recommend. It wasn't too sweet, and was very refreshing. For our appetizer, we got the Chicken Lumpia, which was also cooked perfectly. Also loved the sauce it came with on the side. For my entree I got the Pork Sisig, and omg I can not rave enough about it. It was delicious, very filling, and sat really well in my stomach. They were very mildly spicy, so if you're sensitive to spice, I would not choose this option. My friend got the chicken Kebobs, which were also really good. Everything we got was so delicious, we will definitely be back. I also feel like everything was really fairly priced, which is always a bonus. The only reason I rated 4 stars, is because they're currently understaffed, and it was really busy, so it took a while to get to-go boxes and our check. First thing is first, the food is phenomenal so kudos to the Chef for this one. Chicharon Bulaklak was to die for. Kare Kare was perfection. Laing was delicious. Bangus Sisig was Bangin. I don't recommend the Pork Sisig though. I was SUPER excited to try this place after seeing the great reviews, but alas, it ended sour, and the sour taste was definitely not from the food. 1) My friend and I walk in and there was no one there but like 2 small tables occupied and once we walk in they asked if we have reservation. We thought what the? This is a casual restaurant not a Michelin star, trendy bar dinner spot or a $$$$ Steakhouse so what in the heck? 2) Yes the service was slow, and they are short staffed and busy as people started to come in but like when you downright don't pay attention or try to come to check on us to see what we need, it's pretty messed up. We waited 15 minutes and finally flagged down someone for a popular sizzling Biko dessert at the end of our meal. When one of them finally comes to the table, they ask first if we want the check. We said no not yet we would like to order the sizzling biko dessert. She then said she will check if they have it. 5 minutes pass and she says they dont have it. 5 minutes later someone else comes and says they have it. We wanted this bad which was why we were willing to wait despite the difficulty getting their attention. I was thinking they were probably lying so that we can get the hell up and go since it started to get busy and they didn't want to bother with us anymore since "more important" patrons were coming. Continue further for this theory. 3) The Oh HELL NO" of hell nos occurs. We were at a 2 seater small table for out dinner. As we are waiting endlessly for the dessert (Will it arrive tomorrow? Amazon Prime may actually be quicker) one of the waitresses says "Hi Ma'am can you please move to this table, someone else is waiting." and starts cleaning off the table. I didn't want to make a scene so we just complied with moving to another empty small table one table away from it that was next to a wall. I was in shock. I realized she wanted us out of the previous table so they can connect it to the other 2 larger tables that were next to it and accomodate a group (possibly regulars) with reservations. This has never happened to me ever in a restaurant in my life and I am 36. We suck it up and sit at the new table STILL waiting for the dessert. The manager confirms with us to see if thats what we are waiting for. 5 minutes pass, still no dessert. We are thirsty AF, esp me since I was given only one little glass of water with my sago during dinner and no new water was given since our glasses were cleaned off from the other table. I started to get upset. I flag the manager down and say "Hi. Since they made us move here they did not bring our water glasses to this table and we are thirsty. She says "Oh my they want you to get heat stroke I am so sorry." Glasses with ice and a pitcher of water come right away. I cackled but this didn't address the disrespectful moving situation. Oh and you guessed it. Still no dessert. After 25 minutes we feel like 2 idiots so we cancel the order with the manager. She was apologetic and wrote up a coupon for a free Biko for next time. That was nice of her but will they even have it? You would think the nonexistent dessert was what made me mad the most but what pissed me off was the moving of the table at the end of dinner. Between 2 people we ordered many things to the point that they were even shocked in a joking manner earlier that we ordered that much food. We are paying for a groups worth of food in my opinion so how could you make us get up like that? The saddest part was not only being moved and waiting, but waiting before and after that rude incident and never getting the dessert we waited for. My friend thinks the older waitresses we had may have felt that since we look young and are filipino women, we can easily be taken advantage of have to comply with the move. She also thinks they would not have dared ask any non-filipino patrons to get up like we did. It actually makes sense. It is messed up. Maybe we will get that dessert via the coupon but when I am not mad anymore or maybe we just won't. If I need the food that bad, I will do takeout next time and hope to God that the prep for pickup will be faster that what we went through. Hope the wait staff increases and also gets more training because the food is so good, Qsina has potential to be great if not for the bad service. Note that we also overheard patrons asking for things and hearing they "ran out" of said things. If you go, please beware and good luck. 2 stars for the great food and thank you manager for being kind about the water and giving us the coupon that I hope works. That is about it. Although I've only had the halo-halo, taho, and a lemonade, I can for sure say that this place deserves 5-stars! The staff is very friendly and welcoming. Appetizers were great - we had chicharon bulaklak, chicken chicharon and veggie ukoy. So were the tapsilog and the kalamansi juice. Kare-kare, kalabasa with gata and chicken inasal were mediocre and lacked flavor. The halo-halo was a disappointment, it lacked "sahog" and nothing compared to La Parilla's. I think they should ramp up the halo-halo since that will appeal to any palate regardless of nationality. The service was mixed. Ruby was nice and attentive. I give her credit for trying to serve as quickly as possible however, our table was not cleared of the previous used empty plates before they served the next round. I had to bring a whole stack of used plates myself to the counter. Conclusion: I think the restaurant is experiencing some growth spurts.
