At the end of the day, I cannot possibly describe to you how happy we were to have trusted Q's with our move. Benjamin and his crew were punctual, polite, hard working, efficient and took meticulous care of our property. They were fast but extremely careful, they covered everything - AND I MEAN EVERYTHING- with blankets and then stretch wrapped them as well. They carried every single item, small- large - light - heavy with care and caution. They removed everything from our old apartment and then transported and moved them in to our new place, without even touching a wall, without a single a scratch... PERFECT. The team at Q's made my move so much easier than I ever expected! I had a few odd items that I wasn't sure how to pack and when I called to tell them I couldn't finish, they said NO PROBLEM and it wasnt! They were supposed to come to do a move at noon, well at 3:28 the guy calls that he's on his way. REALLY from noon? The company hired to fix the item that Q Movers broke "fixed" the doors incorrectly requiring the entire item to be removed and I doubt my mom will ever see it again given the piss poor track record of this experience. My move was easy to book by speaking to the knowledgeable and friendly staff, and everything went well without a hitch. We moved from our apartment and 2 different storage units to an out of town storage unit and then into our new apartment 10 days later. All of the other companies seemed like they would have additions or conditions that would be finalized at the end. I don't like surprises like that. I called Q's and spoke with John. John was straight forward and accommodating. After a long search I instantly felt this was the right company for us. Moving is stressful, moving during Covid is even more stressful. John took away all of those stresses. On the day of our move his crew showed up early and ready to work. They were great. My wife and I couldn't have felt for comfortable. The guys were all nice and hard working. They went above and beyond for us with numerous items. One item didn't fit in the elevator. We told them it was ok to break it and we would throw it out. Their guys insisted they would walk it down to the basement from our 17th floor apartment. I had a wonderful experience with my Q's Movers!! I Moved from a studio apartment in the 2nd floor of a walk-up apartment in New York City. My mover team of 3 movers arrived on time, came with a wide variety of tools, and were so efficient in loading and unloading the truck! The truck was huge by the way. My movers were also very flexible and helped me trouble-shoot aspects of my move to make sure I felt comfortable and to get the job done well! I hired Q's moving because my niece recommended them. it was the best decision I could have made. They were respectful of every one of items no matter how small. They wrapped everything carefully. I even had a tall standing jewlery box that I had thought was broken and they tightened it up and fixed it before they wrapped it. They broke an antique piece. He guy was super nice when he wanted the business and so rude and dismissive and not taking responsibility. I absolutely do not recommend. They charge hourly. The job was almost finished in an hour and when the movers found out it's only one hour they started taking their time. The one hour job was done in 4 hours just loading the truck. Avoid this moving company at all costs. I spoke to this Q'a Moving at least 3 times prior to my move addressing all of my concerns regarding the safe transport of my items. I explained the irreplaceable value of some of the items and the type of handling and care that I will require if I should contract with Q's Moving to handle and process my relocation. I was assured repeatedly that Q's was up for the job, I should have followed my gut that told me this was probably not going to be the company to go with. This was the beginning of the end. The movers arrived on time which was promising. I figured this is definitely a good sign. It appears my assumption was incorrect. Three guys, as contracted arrive. I had a three room apartment and with three people it should have taken no more than two hours to move everything out of the old apartment. Everything had been prepared in advance by me so there was nothing to do except disassemble the bed frame, remove two legs off of my plankwood walnut dining room table (in order to get it through the doorway exit), and wrap the sofa, the kitchen chairs, the bed frame, one mirror, one TV, and one picture. That's it. There were 13 boxes remaining to be moved after that. Easy, right? Not so much. The guys stood around talking, blasting music out of their phones at 8 am in the morning, and not efficiently moving my things. Instead of one guy wrapping the few items so the other two guys could be moving things out, they were all working against making this a seamless and logical process by one guy wrapping an item while the other two guys stand on the sidelines laughing and having a good time. I was so disgusted that I left after 30 minutes of watching this and headed out to UPS to return my Spectrum equipment. I decided to walk around and chat with my friend and not go directly back to the apartment figuring if I kill an hour upon my return most of the moving will be done. Incorrect again. I return an hour later to basically nothing being done. Two guys standing around while one is still wrapping those few items. Everything else still there. Boxes, everything. Unbelievable. When I suggested that there was a more efficient way of doing this I was shutdown and told that they know what they are doing. Mind you, for fear of incompetence, which was a valid fear to have, I had already moved most of the entire apartment, by myself, that Monday of that week. One person, just myself, and I moved 30 boxes,10 large plants, one tree, 20 smaller plants, two wardrobes, 2 floor lamps, etc. and I did it in 1 hour and 45 minutes. By myself, haha. This was like bad theater watching these guys. To make a long story short they lost the bar to my armoire, assembled the armoire incorrectly, chipped a chunk out of my 4K dining room table, stole my brand new charcuterie board (or threw it away like they did the bar too my armoire), ruined the cushion on my sofa, broke a left side panel to my men's dresser, scratched my bedside lamp, all four chairs now have scratches (they were practically brand new), they butchered my mahogany bed frame... a complete nightmare. I reached out to the owner and his daughter and they assured me that I would be made whole. I did the due diligence of paying for things to be repaired myself and providing Q's Moving with replacement cost receipts requesting my reimbursement for out-of-pocket costs. I found a handyman to do the repairs (he had a 2 hour minimum for a $135). I sent a screenshot of my charcuterie board cost providing option of either Crate or Williams and Sonoma (It was purchased from Crate). I sent them an email receipt to replace my one sofa cushion damaged by one of the movers (custom fabric that can not be cleaned so it needed to be replaced) which was $637. I was more than reasonable and swallowed the cost of the other few missing items and damages, I told them I will replace all remaining items myself as I want to move on sever all ties with this company. Q's Moving then responds back at the end of the next week with their settlement offer. The settlement was for $637. They did not reimburse me for any of the other few items that I submitted for damage costs. I paid this scam of a company $2,100. They were so unprofessional that they could not even reimburse me for the reasonable costs for my damages. Wow. Unbelievable. I am whole now, I resolved everything myself and replaced and paid for repairs, so I created my own happy ending to this story. I implore you, avoid this company at all costs. They are not licensed to perform interstate moves, only intrastate moves. This was an out of state move from NYC to Philadelphia. Their incompetence and lack of responsibility for their workers actions and unprofessional behavior knows no bounds. They deflect and defend and try to suggest that you are being "difficult" by wanting a fair and just reimbursement. If you value your things I would not use this company. Negative 10. read more

They Over charged for the move (i quoted other companies that were less expensive) but decided to go with Q's Moving since they promised me a quality and elevated experience with packing and unpacking. At the end of the move. I had their employees yelling at me, Missing a collective amount of items of over $4,000 (of which was a missing laptop with personal pictures etc that i will never get back), Damaged $800 of items, destroyed the paint on my walls in the new home, and in addition to this, it took them over a month to tell me they would refund me $500 of my $8000 move. They tried to say they did me a favor and other companies would never do any of this. But other moving companies would have never of been in this position. Reached out to Q's on a Saturday hoping to leave a voicemail to get a call back for an estimate on a move. Well to my pleasant surprise a John, the owner answered the phone. He asked me some questions about my move had me send over some photos of the room. Ten minutes later I received a call and a quote range. The following Monday they called to follow up and book the date. On the date of my move Jermaine, Justice and Ben showed up. We surveyed the the house and the gentlemen go to work. They were kind, courteous and very careful. Each piece was blanketed and then wrapped and carefully carried to their truck. They even took the armoire and bed apart to insure there was no damage. When we got to our new place the gentlemen were just as cautious and careful unloading, unwrapping and placing each piece. I can't say enough nice things about the Q's , John and the guys. Super professional and simply the best. And by the way, in the end the price was at the low end of the range quoted. Would recommend them without hesitation!!! read more

I moved yesterday and couldn't wait to write this review. Shawn, Moses and Tony moved me our of my Manhattan apartment and they couldn't have been better, faster, nicer or more kind to my things. They arrived to find the entrance of my building blocked by construction trucks and took it stride. Their truck was required to park almost a block away but they never even made a groan. Rather, they laughed and said they needed the exercise. They were efficient and the move went swiftly but they were also super careful and wrapped everything meticulously. For someone who has moved more times than I care to admit over my lifetime, these were by far the best movers I have used...ever. read more

Communication was easy and uncomplicated with Qmoving company. On the day of the move the crew worked fast and efficiently, while also being careful not to damage our items. I can speak first hand that this is an honest company!!! On the day of the move I took out money from the bank and the teller gave me an extra $1000 dollars than what I had requested and kept it in an envelope. In the rush and hecticness of the day I never even looked at the bank receipt. After the moving crew was done I paid the crew with tip with the cash that was in the envelope. About an hour later I got a call from one of the employees asking me how much I was tipping the crew. After looking on my phone and seeing how much I actually withdrew I realized I had mistakingly given them an extra $1000 more than I intended. They said no worries and they even came to my house to give me the cash. This company takes no accountability for breaking and damaging items, stalling to bill for more time, and their employees try to scam you into paying them on the side to "do you a favor" and finish what should have been done in the first place. So my rating is as authentic as it comes. I had 2 closings in one day. Move out of my house before the first closing at 1p and then move into new house after second closing that was at 3:30p. The morning of they came late due to morning traffic and the 9am start had me so nervous for my 3 bedroom house being loaded before the closing. Fortunately I had Albert, Anthony, Andrew, Ray, Wallace and Hector which I'll say has to be the Dream team of movers. As they showed up each introduced themselves and got to it. Fast, efficient, cautious, and concern was all they sent my way. Had everything loaded and on the move an hour ahead of the closing Wow! Then off to the new home. Due to closing discrepancies and the god awful weather I didn't get to the new home till 6:30p. Like I said, The Dream Team of movers got work as I arrived with the keys. They were out and had there trucks on the road by 8:30p. 2 hours!!!!! And in that time they placed all boxes in there appropriate location, furniture put together, and put it in the decided spots! I was beyond impressed at what this crew did and I guess you can say it's no surprise had you spoken to the owner John Q prior to the move. I was told countless times not to worry and that he understands how I felt. Now normally I would say that he was just talking the talk, but with the crew and service he sent me they all certainly walked the walk! And there pricing blew away all the the other places I had quoted so it was the perfect way to make this experience it's best. Called many moving companies. Q's stood out from all the rest. Everyone who answered the phone were pleasant and helped me with all my questions. It was so easy to talk to them. I never felt as if I was rushed. I called other companies and it was as if I was bothering them. Moving day Robin, Alex and Nick came to our apartment with tools, wraps, and all necessary materials to move us fast an efficiently. It is a sunny Sunday as I write this review. However it was raining this morning. Robin took those twist and turns like a pro. The guys unloaded our items and reassembled our beds with ease. Before moving day my biggest concern was our brand new beds. They were only 6 months old and put together by the original company. When Q's crew arrived today they did a fantastic job both times taking them down in our old apartment and then putting them back up in our new house. I hired Q Movers and when they showed up and was packing the furniture and moving everything to the truck I was highly impressed. By the time they delivered my stuff it was raining and the boxes got wet, there was leakage from one box, breakages like the boxes were just thrown around. The furniture when we looked at it had damages on it also. We thought that the 4 guys were doing a great job till we unpacked and saw all the damage. I did a flat fee but with that I gave each worker $50.00 besides so I was not trying to be cheap. We thought that they did a great job till we started opening everything. Even my bed which is electric they did not set up. I had to take the king size mattress off and then the box spring and plug it in. MY wife called the company and they said that even with a claim we might get $20.00 possibly. I could not tell what the amount would have been since a lot of breakage was my wife's collection of elephants from all over and we did not have any receipts. We decided that we would just take the loss whatever we can find and purchase we will and we will get in a furniture repair person to fix the damages on the furniture. I have moved numerous times and never have I had this damage. They also said it was the way we packed the items (we packed them better that the other moves we ordered paper to wrap everything instead of newspaper.) It took a lot for me to write this review I usually don't unless they are good ones. So be very careful about what you are looking for. This was a big disappointment in a move. read more

Had a pleasant experience with Q's Moving, Kindu, Basil and Ray G. It was my first time using movers so did not know what to expect. We got a great deal, and the loading/moving/unloading time took exactly as long as I expected. The guys were professional, worked very quickly, and we had no issues with damages. I think they were even more concerned about protecting our 5 year old beat up Ikea couch than I was! These guys worked great as a team and definitely knew what they were doing. After complaining about the broken television and clothing, I was contacted by the company. Their insurance would pay my $30 for the TV and nothing for the clothing. $30! The owner agreed that this was unfair and offered me $100. I was able to get him to increase his offer by $50, however that still doesn't begin to cover the $400 price tag to repair the screen on my TV. And the offered me nothing for the clothing. As my husband and I began to unpack, we realized that two boxes were missing that contained some pieces to our China collection (11 bowls and 6 salad plates), our coffee pot and some cutting boards. We were contacted by Q's again as they wanted us to update our review on Yelp (why, I'm not sure... I was in no way satisfied with their payout). My husband told them about the missing boxes and they offered to check their warehouse. A few days later we got a call that, surprise... the boxes were not found. No offer of compensation or even an apology. According to their inventory, all boxes were delivered. However, their method of inventorying all the boxes is from the Stone Age... A guy basically lists all the boxes on a sheet and puts stickers on all the boxes. Seems pretty easy to miss a few, huh? So basically we're out a TV, a part of our China collection and our coffee pot. If you're looking for a reliable mover, do yourself a favor and find another company. We sure wish we did. read more

Our experience with Q's Moving was fantastic! We were moving from a 2-bedroom in Riverdale to north Westchester. A colleague recommended Q's and given her meticulous personality, we took her advice. Our moving date shifted a few times and they were extremely accommodating and friendly each time we called to reschedule. When moving day came, the guys were early, incredibly professional and just the nicest fellows you'll meet. They had to deal with our building's scaffolding which meant they had to walk everything the long way around the apartment (and down a hill). They moved really heavy pieces (Room & Board marble dining room table, a huge Environment wood king bed), delicate pieces (mid-century credenza, paintings & large format photographs) and awkward pieces (R&B sectional, kid's wood loft bed) with no problem. The guys never lost their friendly disposition and worked hard and quickly throughout the entire move. Just a great experience all around - conversations to schedule the move were helpful, patient and super nice; follow-up prior to move day to get paperwork was good (although it is a good idea to check-in/confirm receipt of emails just to be sure); and movers themselves were awesome. read more

We hired Q's moving corp. for a move that consisted of two apartments to a house. This was made absolutely clear to both John ( the owner ) and Christina THREE TIMES! We were sure to be very informative of the entire process to avoid any problems and make the transition as easy as possible. As someone moving two apartments, you don't want any additional surprises. We made it clear that we would need a large truck given the two apartment situation... John quoted my girlfriend 6 hours for the entire job but it ran to nine hours because of slow workers. In return we got a smaller truck that was not adequate for the job and therefore, some furniture was left behind because it did not fit... surprise! Adding insult to injury, the "professional" movers managed to pack all the remaining protective blankets behind the first apartments furniture in the truck. Due to this exceptional negligence my $1400.00 Room & Board bed was never wrapped or protected as it should have. This resulted in gashes, scrapes and damage all over. The pictures I posted are only a few of many scrapes and gashes covering my entire bed. Now it SEEMS Q's moving corp. has great reviews and that is why we decided on them but don't be fooled! We were very unfortunate to have chosen them. Q's moving corp. said they had insurance. Be warned! Their insurance only pays $0.30 cents per pound! That comes to a whopping $35.00 TOTAL for my damaged $1400 bed! I cannot stress how terrible this experience was. John is the the owner of Q's moving corp. He is very nice when he wants your business however, he can be very hot headed, rude and abrupt when the shortcomings of the services provided are brought to his attention. I had a lovely chat with him that evening as I was putting the bed together and noticed all the damage. He was definitely not co-operative or professional like he promotes himself and his company. He was constantly talking over me, cutting me off and never did he bother expressing his concerns. It was only after I threatened him with the better business bureau ( which I filed a complaint with ) that he collected himself and calmed down to offer a small portion of money which I did not accept. I will never use or refer Q's moving corp. to anyone as they are a terrible moving service. In contrast, I strongly feel the need to justify the wrongs and speak out against their business as much as possible.
