They have recently raised their prices a bit, but in comparison with what neighboring restaurants have done, it's nothing. The portions are generous. Service is excellent! It's just something we like to do when we go to "ethnic" restaurants. It's a little dated, but clean. We will definitely be back.

This restaurant is located in a strip mall shopping area with plentiful parking. Upon entering, the ambiance is very welcoming and charming. I picked up the carryout order from the bar area and it was ready on time. The person who cashed me out was very pleasant and advised me of a surcharge for using a credit card. While I don't like this practice, it has become common. Upon bringing the food home, I saw that the food was in styrofoam containers. There was no notation of which container contained which order, but wasn't difficult to figure out. Speaking to my order (chicken and tofu), I found that there was too much sauce and was very light on the protein but heavy on noodles. My mom's order (chicken with medium spicy sauce) was too spicy for her taste and also skimpy on chicken; lots of noodles. Overall, it was a disappointing meal for both of us. I think a dining-in experience would be better because of the lovely ambiance. The price for both entrees was a bit over $30 before tip - not a great value considering the skimpy amount of protein.

Excellent Thai food. Generous portions and perfectly balanced flavors. Would happily go back…read more I got takeout. Vegetable curry with tofu, made medium spicy, and a summer roll with tofu. They were busy, so it took about half an hour to get my food. I was hungry and I devoured the summer roll in the car. Perhaps starvation made it tastier but it was so fresh and satisfying. Very plump with a thick slab of fried tofu inside. The dipping sauce was unusual--clear and savory/sweet with crushed peanuts, similar to the dressing for Vietnamese bun--but it was greatly enjoyable and I ate the last few drops with my rice. The curry may have been the best I've had all year. I'm serious. I'm a huge curry snob and it was expertly spiced, everything smooth and balanced with just the right hint of sweetness. So creamy and coconuty too. It was a large portion, and I ate almost all of it, well beyond the point of fullness. If you're in Toledo, you must try this place.

there is nothing wrong with this food. But there is nothing particularly right with it either…read more It is pricey! I have seen other people comment about the price and I have to agree. I am somebody who does not mind paying more for good food. In my experience usually Thai takeout tends to be hefty portions since it's mostly rice and noodles, etc.. We ordered four entrées, a curry, one soup and two summer rolls and we paid $145 without tip. OK that was pricey... When we opened the boxes they aren't even close to full. The portion sizes are disappointing. The summer roll, I will never order again. We paid seven dollars for two rolls that are essentially rice paper with a ton of iceberg, lettuce and carrot. No shrimp, definitely no pork belly, no cilantro, no mint, no flavor! I will say the peanut sauce was fire. It was so good. I actually made my own spring rolls so I could continue to use it. The three stars are honestly for the service. People have remarked that the owner is rude dismissive and on sanitary, we didn't have any of that. She was kind, courteous, helpful, and fast. I saw her wash her hands. Besides the summer rolls, there was nothing bad about the meal. But if I'm paying $144 for four people to eat- I want leftovers. There are so many good Thai places in Toledo, what I will say is they have a very expensive menu. I wouldn't mind trying one more time to order something special like duck. I did try to post a ton of menu photos. Ignore the pricing. Everything is anywhere between $2.50 and five dollars an entrée more. I looked online all over for a menu and could not find anything other than what was on yelp. It all looked very dated. The menu in the restaurant is also outdated. Unfortunately I'm unable to post anything with their actual menu prices. If you were trying to get Thai food on a budget, do not stop here

Of course, I couldn't find it anywhere online. Was she talking about QQ? Or the place that opened up where Darla's Thai Pan used to be? Well, both of these places are closed on Sunday, so we kept driving, and wow, yes, there really is a restaurant, just called "Asian Cuisine" in this strip mall. It's actually quite large; apparently it used to be the location of China Crown Buffet at some point. Anyhow, the ambiance is kind of flat. Lots of green vinyl booths. You can tell it used to be a buffet restaurant. But that is pretty much the only negative. When we came, there were several families and large parties, most of whom were Chinese. A good sign for a Chinese restaurant. The menu is pretty big, with lots of Thai and Chinese favorites. We ordered a steamed tofu dish, a seafood entrée, and a whole roast duck. Where can you get a whole roast duck these days without ordering a day ahead? Here apparently! And it is delicious, as was all of our food. Prices were quite reasonable (something like $22-24 for the duck, $9 for the steamed tofu with your choice of sauce, and about the same for the seafood stir fry dish). The hot-and-sour soup was immensely flavorful, smoky in a way, and only $1.99 for a small. Service was the friendliest I've ever had at a Chinese restaurant. Friendly waitress, prompt drink refills. If this were SF or NYC, I'd say 4-stars, but for Toledo, this place is an absolute gem. This will be my go-to source for Chinese from now on. I can't wait to try the Thai, as if it is as good as the Chinese, it will save me the drive to Maumee (for Bangkok Kitchen).

The atmosphere is nice enough...nothing to write home about, but it's clean. The building and the parking itself are well adorned with beautiful potted flowers and plants. Planted sunflowers too. I also think they might grow some of their own spices in a garden out back. This is a very nice touch. The service is casual. Don't come here if you're in a hurry. The waitstaff is friendly but not particularly attentive. Don't get me wrong, nobody was rude and they respond to requests, but still... The food was very good. Best Thai food ever? Nope. Best in Toledo? No, probably not. Good enough to warrant return visits? Definitely. But regarding the food, I must say this...I really don't like when ethnic restaurants (ethnicities known for spicy food, that is) "down-spices" a dish to, I don't know, "suit the typical American palate?" That's happened to me twice at Roi Et. Please, when I say I want the curry to be hot, I fucking mean HOT! Ok, I'm better now. So there we go. About 4 stars.

Food comes out piping hot and prompt to order. The menu is thoughtfully arranged, digestible, and gives the customer a good grasp of what they're getting. I have had the Kar Pao Beef at medium heat (brave for me. Painful, but delicious!) Fried rice, Shrimp puffs (they're my my favorite appetizer. Delicious and with an incredibly satisfying crunch tucked into a little perfect triangle package. SO GOOD!!) The rice is always perfectly cooked. A little bit sticky and fluffy at the same time. Its fantastic. I want to know their secret. This visit I had the Massaman Curry. Mostly sweet profile with the very very slightest hint of spice at the back end. Plenty of broth with chunky veggies, perfectly cooked through and still firm to tooth in a way I find very pleasant! I dug in too quickly to get a good picture. Maybe next time! I also tried the Thai iced tea for the first time. An absolute hit. Portion sizes are generous. You absolutely get what you pay for. My only complaint is that I cant eat more in one sitting. Hands down one of my favorite places to go for a taste of southeast Asia.
