The Best Thai Food In The Midwest! Authentic, Family Owned, Her and Her Aunt Cook By Themselves! If you're looking for additional Americanized fast food, and that's what you're used to don't come here, go to McDonald's or Burger King or an Americanized franchised chemical bomb restaurant. If you want traditional homemade style Thai food bring your A**. I know a lot of people say she's mean, you need to understand that she is not from our country, she is from Thailand, her demeanor and the way that she speaks seems rude and short but it's just her cultural language barrier. SHE AWESOME and REAL!

Not a lot to say here, other than speed of service everything was average. The food was good, but not outstanding. $10 for a lunch portion was a little high, almost $13 with a drink. Food was brought out very quickly. Very small inside, and filled with grocery type items in the dining area. Strange atmosphere to eat in. The front door has an annoying announcement every time it's opened. The bell goes off and announces "front door" loudly. This is because the staff hangs out completely in the back. I'd eat here again if it was a group setting, not sure I'd go again on my own.

Great Thai food! I have had a few dishes here and all have been tasty. I think the duck curry might be my favorite.

The food here is really good and authentic. Pad Thai here is comparable to the street food in Bangkok. Will definitely come back again!

They have recently raised their prices a bit, but in comparison with what neighboring restaurants have done, it's nothing. The portions are generous. Service is excellent! This restaurant is located in a strip mall shopping area with plentiful parking. Upon entering, the ambiance is very welcoming and charming. I picked up the carryout order from the bar area and it was ready on time. The person who cashed me out was very pleasant and advised me of a surcharge for using a credit card. While I don't like this practice, it has become common. Upon bringing the food home, I saw that the food was in styrofoam containers. There was no notation of which container contained which order, but wasn't difficult to figure out. Speaking to my order (chicken and tofu), I found that there was too much sauce and was very light on the protein but heavy on noodles. My mom's order (chicken with medium spicy sauce) was too spicy for her taste and also skimpy on chicken; lots of noodles. Overall, it was a disappointing meal for both of us. I think a dining-in experience would be better because of the lovely ambiance. The price for both entrees was a bit over $30 before tip - not a great value considering the skimpy amount of protein.

there is nothing wrong with this food. But there is nothing particularly right with it either…read more It is pricey! I have seen other people comment about the price and I have to agree. I am somebody who does not mind paying more for good food. In my experience usually Thai takeout tends to be hefty portions since it's mostly rice and noodles, etc.. We ordered four entrées, a curry, one soup and two summer rolls and we paid $145 without tip. OK that was pricey... When we opened the boxes they aren't even close to full. The portion sizes are disappointing. The summer roll, I will never order again. We paid seven dollars for two rolls that are essentially rice paper with a ton of iceberg, lettuce and carrot. No shrimp, definitely no pork belly, no cilantro, no mint, no flavor! I will say the peanut sauce was fire. It was so good. I actually made my own spring rolls so I could continue to use it. The three stars are honestly for the service. People have remarked that the owner is rude dismissive and on sanitary, we didn't have any of that. She was kind, courteous, helpful, and fast. I saw her wash her hands. Besides the summer rolls, there was nothing bad about the meal. But if I'm paying $144 for four people to eat- I want leftovers. There are so many good Thai places in Toledo, what I will say is they have a very expensive menu. I wouldn't mind trying one more time to order something special like duck. I did try to post a ton of menu photos. Ignore the pricing. Everything is anywhere between $2.50 and five dollars an entrée more. I looked online all over for a menu and could not find anything other than what was on yelp. It all looked very dated. The menu in the restaurant is also outdated. Unfortunately I'm unable to post anything with their actual menu prices. If you were trying to get Thai food on a budget, do not stop here

I ordered iced tea and vegetable spring rolls to begin, and decided on Happy Family with chicken and shrimp for my entree. I like to wash my hands before eating and the restroom was scrupulously clean, which always makes a good impression. I was there at 4 pm so there were not a lot of people in the dining room yet and i could tell they were running a booming business in takeout calls. The starter came quickly with my drink, followed soon by my Happy Family meal, steaming hot! It is rare to get a restaurant meal hot these days and it was so appreciated. The spring rolls were delicious and the entree was perfect. The vegetables were crisp tender and fresh. The shrimp and chicken were cooked perfectly and all were served over a plentiful bowl of white rice in a large bowl in a light gravy. (Brown rice is also available if you desire). I had a doctor's appointment earlier so had not eaten that day and i devoured this meal. SO GOOD! There was enough that i could have taken some home but the food was so good i just kept eating. While i am not a drinker, QQ Kitchen does offer alcoholic beverages. Two workers came in, sat at the bar and enjoyed drinks with their meals. One of the men said to me, "Isn't this place great? Best food in Toledo!" I had to agree. The servers kept my iced tea filled and even gave me one to go. The bill was reasonable. This restaurant is highly recommended. Well trained, friendly servers, the owner was there cooking among his cooks, and it was a peaceful, yummy experience. There are also Thai and Korean menu choices here. Many vegetarian options are available, as well as "choose your protein" options. Plenty of parking as it is in a strip mall off Secor, wheelchair accessible, children and families welcome.

Tonight was our lucky night as we were seated within minutes of our arrival. QQ Kitchen is very unassuming upon entry. Small sitting area that was filled with people waiting for their take-out orders. The dining area is small and decor is simple. There is one TV monitor and tonight, "Triple D" (Diners, Drive-Ins, Dives) was on. How appropriate, huh? Menu has a lot to offer making it challenging to arrive at a snap decision. Many great choices. We started off with Spring Rolls. Very refreshing taste and the peanut dipping sauce was quite tasty. Our dinner selections: Drunken Noodles; and Pad Thai w Shrimp. Both these dishes were excellent and very fairly priced for the food quality and portion size. A great deal of foot traffic for take-out orders during the entire time we were in the restaurant. Good sign. We had a fantastic meal and we will definitely be back yo visit QQ Kitchen. Well done!

Even if I described to you exactly where it is, you wouldn't be able to place it. It's just completely out of the way, and even if you lived close by, it's so unassumingly dimly lit, that it just looks closed. So much so, that our first visit after a 12-year break, almost had us driving off. While the 'OPEN' sign was on, the dining room was completely empty at 7 p.m. on a Saturday. But thankfully as we sat in the car looking at the hours on our phone, the young man who does double duty as the adjacent store clerk, as well as waiter popped out to let us know it was safe to come in. The food is unassuming, totally homemade in the best and worst way possible, and everything is very specific to this family. The flavor profiles of ALL dishes are perfectly balanced, and while some meats are severely overcooked, that's probably for the best. Will it take us 12 years to return? Likely not, as popping in last night has put it back on our radar. But even still, due to the totally bizarre location, it's going to take some effort to make it back. But we will if for no other reason, to grab another bowl of that absolutely divine tom yum soup.

Well, both of these places are closed on Sunday, so we kept driving, and wow, yes, there really is a restaurant, just called "Asian Cuisine" in this strip mall. It's actually quite large; apparently it used to be the location of China Crown Buffet at some point. Anyhow, the ambiance is kind of flat. Lots of green vinyl booths. You can tell it used to be a buffet restaurant. But that is pretty much the only negative. When we came, there were several families and large parties, most of whom were Chinese. A good sign for a Chinese restaurant. The menu is pretty big, with lots of Thai and Chinese favorites. We ordered a steamed tofu dish, a seafood entrée, and a whole roast duck. Where can you get a whole roast duck these days without ordering a day ahead? Here apparently! And it is delicious, as was all of our food. Prices were quite reasonable (something like $22-24 for the duck, $9 for the steamed tofu with your choice of sauce, and about the same for the seafood stir fry dish). The hot-and-sour soup was immensely flavorful, smoky in a way, and only $1.99 for a small. Service was the friendliest I've ever had at a Chinese restaurant. Friendly waitress, prompt drink refills. If this were SF or NYC, I'd say 4-stars, but for Toledo, this place is an absolute gem. This will be my go-to source for Chinese from now on.
