First and foremost, I never really write horrible reviews but what in the entire f***?! The elderly Thai woman behind the counter was extremely rude over the phone when I asked to pick up for carry out. She answered and said, "What do you want?" I answered and said, "Pad-See-Ew Beef" in which she replied saying, "What kind of hot?" I said, "NO Hot". She said, "That's it?" I said, "Yes, thank you" and she just hung up hahaha! She didn't tell me how much it would cost or when it will be ready. I come to pick it up and she said "What can I get for you?" and tell her I'm the one who ordered the Pad-See-Ew Beef and she said "Okay, I make it now" and said "You pay me first" hahaha what??? I don't mind doing that, but damn...that was kind of rude. She gives me the receipt and it says, "$13.99" I'm like "Whew wow" and just looked confused, but I figured it will be great and authentic and largely portioned because it is dinner time. I hand her the money in cash and she places the money in the register and proceeds to go in the kitchen, doesn't wash her hands, picks up the noodles from this bowl covered in plastic wrap and starts placing it on a pan. I'm looking confused again because surely that isn't MY food. I'm trying to get her attention because I'd like to say something about her not washing her hands and she doesn't look up to me once and I know she heard me. She places it in the box, gets the plastic bag, and throws the fork and napkins in there and says, "Okay, done bye". I get home and the to-go box is like half of a regular to-go box and it's small portioned with three pieces of beef and mostly broccoli and a little bit of noodles. I'm so mad. I will NEVER EVER go there again. Poor customer service. Unfriendly. Rude. Unclean contaminated hygiene. Expensive af! Small Portions. This place just needs to go tbh. I was in town visiting a friend and we decided to enjoy some Thai for lunch. This place was not busy at all on a Friday around noon. I think maybe 1-2 people showed up while we were enjoying our meals. We looked over the menu and I decided on green seafood curry made Thai spicy. The menu is quite huge and tons of options to choose from which was a pleasant surprise. I think anyone would be able to eat her to satisfy their Thai cravings. The service was quite fast which was nice. My meal on my spice scale was more of 2-3 out of a 5. However if you look at my past review of other Thai places around the world you will see my spice palate is crazy. It takes a lot for me to think anything is spicy. We came here for dine-in late lunch. No customer inside the restaurant. The only person there is a lady who is the counter person / cook / server maybe the owner? As we arrived. She pointed right away that she only have disposable to go box and cutleries. She don't even welcome us and let us sit first or offered us a water to drink. Then she handed the menu to us. As we reviewing the menu, she keeps on coming back to us to say there is no chicken wings, beef if we want to order those. We were told that their price had increased , she showed the printed out notice attached in the menu. As we reviewing the menu at the same time while reading one of the review on Yelp with regards how much they cost eating there and a few customers disappointments about the place. My husband asked a questions to the lady and verify how much the increased should be. She said about $2-$3 per food order. We were surprised that amount is high for an increase. After she answered our questions, she offered daringly "If you want I will not continue cooking and you can leave". What a relief and we gladly took the offer and left. She keeps on talking back to us but we say Thank You. We can't believe the rude / bad customer service in a restaurant we had experienced. Normally, we don't write a not so good review, But in this case, there is always a first time --- So we suggest, if you want to experience not so good restaurant, to try this place on your own so you can see what we mean. Hands down the BEST Thai food I've had. Tasty Thai is better than any Thai restaurant I've eaten at in Southwest Michigan and San Francisco, CA. My father and I have eaten at this establishment 3 out of the 4 days we've been in Toledo so far. Their Pad Thai is off the chain, however tonight I ordered the Garlic Duck and to my delight the duck was deboned and ready to eat. The garlic sauce & the crispiness of the duck with the broccoli was delicious!!! The best Duck I've had at a Thai restaurant to date! I also recommend their tempura calamari. Light, flavorful and on point! Don't forget the large Thai Ice Tea, to complete the ribbon on the package! I will eat here the next time I'm in town. Firsts time to have lunch there in Saturday , we both are just becoming retirees then keep searching good food to reward ourselves, but this place is absolutely horrible and hitting us so badly. We had an order of a big bowl of Thai Tom Yum Kung soup, two different dishes of noodles, two cold drinks and one meal for take out. This place is looking real down grade and just has only one lady( owner) work there be a chef and waitress. We are full of hope can find a good place to enjoy our retirement life. The food and drinks were good but the soup, just few pieces of mushroom and about 6/8 shrimp in the broth this cost us $18 itself ! We ate so many Thai cuisine in different places and countries and our son in law even is a Thai guy too. When we asked for a check but the lady came to us and told us $120 for all meals , no check. My wife asked her why are the meals so expensive then she said that because the food cost too high so will charged extra $2 to $3 on every meals. I have been a customer here for years. I loved their food - until tonight. I ordered 2 Tom Yam ($4.50/each), 1 Pineapple Chicken (dinner portion, $10.99), 1 Basil Leaves (dinner portion, $12.99), 1 Thai iced tea ($1.99). All carry out. The price was not quoted on the phone. I didn't think anything of it. I should have. Nonetheless, the total should have been $34.97 per their menu prices. When I arrived to pick it up, I handed them my card. The lady charged me $50.95. I asked for a carryout menu and she handed me one, informing me it didn't have the new prices. Well where were those? Because it's dishonest to display one price and charge another. I understand inflation has caused price increases for everything. More than 45% is excessive. While it's their right to charge what they want, it is wrong to not make it clear what a customer will be charged. I was comfortable spending $35, but $50? No. Everyone is cutting budget right now trying to make ends meet. This robbed me of grocery money. Finally, the food, which has always been good, was mostly bland. I moved close to this restaurant a couple years ago so am a pretty regular customer now. The food is good and prepared fast. It's a place you don't have to fret about walking in to order carryout. That lady will get it done in under 15 minutes. She is often the only one there and I very much respect her hustle. Portion size can vary and is sometimes a little sparse for the price, but Tasty Thai can be relied on for solid food fast. I dine here 2-3 times per month and I always enjoy it. The atmosphere is plain and feels like a typical carry out restaurant. The service is always excellent and quick. This could be be due to the fact there are rarely other people dining in and I am guessing most of their business is take out. The waitresses are always very friendly, answer any questions I have about the menu, and are always happy to recommend new things for me to try. The food is served quickly, and is always delicious. Tasty Thai has the best curries and pad thai that I have had in Toledo. Tasty Thai also has Vietnamese summer rolls, which are difficult to find in Toledo, and are made very well here. If I had to list any cons, some of the menu items seem to be over priced, however I am happy to pay a little extra for the fantastic service and food. read more

My boyfriend and I both got the pad Thai, and we both agreed that it was pretty good! Not the best we'd ever had, and also much more spicy than we were used to with other Thai restaurants. The portion was huge, neither of us could finish more than half of our dishes, which is excellent because we were able to take a healthy portion home and have a second round. Service was spot on and the waitress was very helpful. I thought the dining room came off as kind of cafeteria like, so don't plan to go there for the atmosphere, or to feel as if you're going any place fancy. Being as it's a medium sized town in the rust belt, I don't expect the best Thai food in the world here. That being said I must say that I had an above average experience here. My girlfriend and I had a long drive from Detroit (1hr15min.) to drop our good buddy off at Toledo Medical Center on a Sunday night after a marathon party weekend, so upon getting him here on a Sunday night around 8PM, and not having ate since a late lunch, we were starved. When we arrived here, it was well past normal dinner hours so we were the only patrons. The hostess was also our waitress. My buddy ordered some Pad Thai which looked just like Pad Thai from any respected Thai restaurant. As usual, it was a heaping portion of wet noodles and chicken, enough for him to eat and take half back to his hotel for leftovers. My girlfriend and I mixed it up - we got an order of Thai hot wings, which were spicy/oriental seasoned juicy, meaty chicken wings. They definitely hit the spot. We also got a panang curry dish and ordered it "extra hot," which is one notch shy of their hottest "Thai hot." Well it tasted like a medium to us! The locals here must have untrained taste buds. The coconut milk gravy in our panang curry was a little watery and milky - it seemed to not be rich or "reddish" enough. It was as if someone took good spicy cocunut milk gravy and poured milk into it. Nevertheless, it was an average and satisfactory dish. Being a lover of wings, the Thai wings being pretty tasty made up for the slight disappointment in the panang curry. Again, if you're in the immediate area and have to have Thai, try this place out, it's decent. The clean/cozy dining room in addition to the courteous staff are pluses as well. But if you're an avid fan of Thai and have been to the better Thai places - don't come with overly high expectations. read more
