A couple of days ago my husband and I ordered shrimp fried rice and almond boneless chicken to go. Order was ready when he got there and still hot when he got home. We both raved about the shrimp fried rice - great tasted, right rice consistency, nice amount of shrimp and veggies. The almond boneless chicken was small chunks which had been breaded and deep fried. Too much breading for us. And the gravy was off - had an artificial taste, not a chicken taste. We love this place. We've eaten here a few times and my wife has eaten here without me. The food is fast, fresh and fantastic. We've had a few different things, the kung pao chicken, pork lomein, chicken fried rice, and our kid's favorite the potstickers. We've had other stuff as well, but I forget exactly what we've had. Great old school Chinese food. Lunch specials are quite cheap for the amount of food you get. It's a nice family operated business. The server was friendly and attentive. We got sweet and sour chicken, orange chicken and pork with sliced vegetables. Each meal had options of type of rice, 3 choices of soup and either egg roll or 2 crab Rangoon. We were in the area and read the reviews so decided to give it a try! This is located in a large strip of several stores and restaurants. We ordered the combination patters and were offered soup so we each had hot and sour which was very good. My husband ordered General TSO and I ordered Moo Goo Gai Pan. The General TSO was not the sweet type but more of a soy sauce based sauce with a little sweetness. My Moo Goo was very good. A nice flavor and not overpowered by soy sauce. A little too many mushrooms for my taste but none the less..very good. They were both served with choice of fried rice or steamed and either egg roll or crab Rangoon which were both good. We go here often for lunch. The service is fast and the food is super cheap and pretty good. They have the best fried dumplings and sauce of all the places around. The food itself is in HUGE proportions though some come prepared to either eat a ton or take a box back with you. Out of all the places that we have eaten Chinese food in Perrysburg, this is by far the fastest sit down for lunch. read more

Fast service, great flavor, Amazing food, huge portions. And the prices, especially for lunch, are the lowest you'll find. I go here on a regular basis with co workers. This place was okay! I placed a carry out order and got a combo plate of general tso's chicken with an egg roll and fried rice. The fried rice didn't really taste like anything. The egg roll wasn't anything great either but I didn't really expect it to be considering nowhere around here serves egg rolls that haven't been frozen prior to being cooked. The chicken was good though-- flavorful and tender. There was some broccoli mixed in with it also and although it was a little undercooked it still had good flavor and seemed fresh. The food was ready in about 15 minutes and I felt like I got a decent amount of food for what I paid for. The man who helped us at the restaurant was friendly and nice. The restaurant wasn't too busy. There were two other people there when I went to pick up my order and they looked like they were waiting for carry out orders as well. Service was good. Food was completely over-fried. We had sweet and sour chicken, chicken lo mein, and crab rangoon. The rangoons didn't seem to have any cream cheese and the meat DID NOT taste or look like crab. Lo mein was so-so, greasy but flavors were decent. I have to give a disclaimer with this review..... I am partial to New Empire for Chinese food (only reason this is a 4-star). However I was wandering Yelp and decided to try Lee Garden tonight. Everyone so far seems to have hit the nail on the head. This place has great food and at an excellent price. I was pretty much shocked when the meal arrived and I saw the portion that they serve. Since the portions were so large I wondered how the food could possibly be decent tasting and how they would still make money if it was. Well that came to be my second shock of the evening. I checked out Lee Garden today for the first time, and since the "Grand Opening" sign is still up, I'm assuming it hasn't been around very long. Long story short: I hope it stays open because this place is good. It is a nice little place with maybe 10 tables, but the tables are all spacious and you have plenty of room so it ends up feeling cozy rather than cramped. The couple running the place were very friendly and provided great service. The lunch specials are good prices and you get very generous portions. For $6.50 I got General Tso's chicken, fried rice, an egg roll, and hot and sour soup. That's a lot of food, but more importantly, it was all really good food. I enjoyed it all, but I thought the soup really stood out. I love Asian food and I eat it multiple times a week. When it comes to Chinese food, nothing is too lowbrow for me. I frequent several small take-out dives, so I know the spectrum of Chinese food out there. Lee garden is a cut above standard Chinese take-out fare, and although it isn't fine dining either, I can't wait to come back after an overall fantastic experience. read more

What is amazing is the fact this place averages 4 stars from the reviews. We simply knew better than to try a strip mall Chinese (VERY Americanized Chinese) joint. But, it was Saturday evening, out running errands, would be too late to cook when we got home. So, I quickly checked the Yelp! reviews. Nothing in them to frighten us away so we gave it a shot. The place is very small but it was tidy enough. The carryout business seemed to be doing very well. Only one other table became occupied while we were there - 7pm on a Saturday evening. We asked the server what she could recommend. She advised it was only her second day on the job and didn't really know what to suggest. We ordered water and hot tea to drink - they do not serve alcohol. After perusing the menu, we ordered the highly (Yelp!) recommended Crab Rangoon appetizer. We also ordered an egg roll each. A cup of soup came with our meals - we both chose Hot and Sour. The soup was basically egg drop base with some spice added. Hardly a sign of any meat or vegetables. It was hot (temperature) but lacked much flavor. Same could be said for the Crab Rangoon and egg rolls. The egg rolls are obviously purchased frozen, in bulk and pulled from the freezer and dropped in the deep fryer as needed. Again, they also lacked flavor. For our main course, we shared an order of Shrimp in Spicy Pepper Sauce and Hong Sue Gai. Each came with a fair amount of nicely done tender-crisp vegetables. The shrimp dish was supposed to be spicy. Not only was it not spicy, it also lacked flavor. Same could be said for the Hong Sue Gai. While it sounded appetizing enough on the menu, what came out was quite different. The chicken pieces were heavily breaded balls, deep fried. And, at the risk of sounding like a broken record, nearly flavorless. I'd guess the "chicken balls" were likely from a food vendor source such as Gordon's Food Service. Even the hot tea was forgettable. It was very dark which, at first, got my attention. But it had no aroma nor taste. I realize that the Toledo area is quite satisfied with this type of "cuisine." This place is nothing more than your run-of-the-mill heavily Americanized Chinese restaurant the serves large portions at reasonable prices - something Toledoans seem to adore. One of the posters mentioned that this is "A unique Chinese restaurant". There is nothing unique about it. It's the same in appearance, food selection and quality as a million other Chinese restaurants across the country. I'm not bashing this establishment. I'm just giving my honest opinion of our one (and only - trust me) experience with it. It is, in a word, forgettable. If you are truly looking for good Chinese (or other Asian ethnic), make the drive in to Toledo and check out Wei Wei on Reynolds Rd. **Update 10-09-13** Taking a closer look at the reviews, I discovered 4 filtered reviews. One mentioned that this place (Lee Garden) is the newest incarnation of the former Jade Garden in Rossford. If that is true, it's no wonder we found it to be nothing special. This type of review tries to disparage the targeted restaurant and ridicule anyone who enjoys the restaurant (I realize that the Toledo area is quite satisfied with this type of "cuisine." This use to be the Jade Garden in Rossford. They moved out to Perrysburg because they wanted something smaller. I have always loved their food. I always get Shrimp Chow Mei Fun and the shrimp are delicious. Also love all of the Moo Shu. My kids love their wonton soup and Chicken Cubes. I also highly recommend their Hot and Sour soup. I am totally amazed at the reviews for this place. The portions are large but I am in total disagreement with all the other positive comments regarding the food. We had carry-out so I cannot comment on the service. The "outstanding" crab rangoon is marginal at best (try Golden Court) and the orange chicken and general's chicken were virtually the same dish except for the orange sections and both were bland and flavorless. The fried rice, while plentiful,was just flavorless rice with none of the usual embelishments (peas, fried egg, green onion etc). Maybe we were there on a bad day or we simply have higher standards but this was an extremely disappointing experience that will not be repeated. There are many better chinese resturants in the area and I would recommend Bai Du or 1st Wok over this place all day long. read more

What a disappointment! I ordered Mongolian beef, but it should have been called onions with beef as there were definitely more onions than beef. The fried rice was more like white rice with soy sauce, there were no meat or vegetables in the fried rice. My husband ordered sweet and sour chicken. Which was standard. Our meals came with egg drop soup, which was fine, and crab Rangoon. I like to eat my crab Rangoon with sweet and sour sauce, the kind that they put on sweet and sour chicken. They brought sweet and sour sauce in a ketchup bottle but it was not the same sauce that came on my husband's chicken, seemed more like a duck sauce. The menu said our combination plates came with hot tea, but we were never brought any tea, I didn't say anything because we don't drink tea, but I was surprised that our waiter never asked us if we wanted our tea? Lee Garden has some of the most delicious Asian food that I've ever had. My family went out for a dinner there, and everyone found something that not only filled, but satisfied them. The restaurant has a very large menu, and a decent amount of variation when or comes to customization. My husband ordered General Tsos Chicken, and ordered it extra spicy. This was the first restaurant that actually made it to his liking. They also offer combination platters that include a soup, crab Rangoon or an egg roll, and tea. This was more than enough food for me, as I didn't even finish my entrée, but if you have a big appetite, you won't leave disappointed. The only gripe that I had was that the hi-c that I ordered tasted quite watered down both times I went there, but ordered wasn't anything that would keep me away.
