We had the opportunity to stop into the Redmond location on a Tuesday night, and found everything we were looking for. Founded in 1922, Fred Meyer became a part of Kroger in 1998, and has provided the superstore concept for a lot longer than either Walmart (1988) or Target (1995). It's very large, with this location even having an upstairs marked as Apparel (though it was closed off...wondering if it closes after a certain hour). The bank inside is Chase, and there is a Starbucks outlet. It has both an indoor and outdoor garden center (with its own entrance and super bored cashier). Because it is owned by Kroger, the grocery section has all the sales and product that a Kroger or Ralphs would have. Even though it has a different mobile app than its siblings, it uses the same login for easier cross connectivity. There are quite a few digital coupons that save a significant amount of money, so it is definitely worth getting and using.

I've been to a lot of pharmacies over the years, and unfortunately it's not uncommon to feel like…read moreyou're just another number. That's why my recent experience at this Walgreens stood out, but also why I feel this review needs to be balanced. We actually transferred our prescriptions here from Safeway a couple of months ago, hoping that a larger pharmacy would be more reliable when it comes to keeping medications in stock. At Safeway, we often found ourselves scrambling to locate another pharmacy because they simply didn't have our medications in stock. Unfortunately, even though we've only been at Walgreens a short time, it has still been a stressful experience. It's very difficult to get through by phone, and there have been multiple times where I've been on hold for 20 minutes only to have the call disconnected. Prescriptions are not always ready when expected, which adds to the stress. We've had moments where we're close to running out of a medication and it's still "in progress," leaving us rushing to the store at the last minute. There also seems to be some kind of disconnect between their fulfillment system and the pharmacy itself. To be fair, this doesn't seem unique to this location. Many pharmacies these days appear to be short staffed and dealing with medication shortages, and it's clear the people working there are doing their best under difficult circumstances. I truly don't believe these issues are the fault of the staff, but rather a reflection of how these companies are being run. That said, the reason I'm giving three stars instead of a lower rating is because of Grant, the pharmacist. He truly went above and beyond to help us with several prescriptions. He was not only knowledgeable, but also incredibly kind and genuinely sympathetic. Instead of rushing through things, he took the time to really understand what we needed and jumped right in to help. It was such a refreshing experience and made a stressful situation so much easier. Grant is absolutely the shining light at this location and honestly the reason we're willing to stick around and hope things improve. His level of care and willingness to help is something you don't come across every day, and we're very grateful for him.

Ordered a bunch of print outs online, realized it was way too big for my liking and the guy at the register happily printed me out a new size that was smaller. Normal aisles, has a lot of items at a normal store. Most of the time it's packed where the pharmacy is, and only one cashier is at the front so it might take time if you're there during a rush. Also came here for an exchange/purchase a new propane tank, the guy came out and helped us, very kind.

I visited this Bartell's while in the area and this being my first time at this location, it was easy to navigate. I came here to get some toiletries and signs were clearly displayed in the store, showing me which aisle I needed to get to. I was in the store in less than 10 minutes, making it an easy and efficient shopping experience. On an afternoon on a weekday there weren't many customers, so there was no line to check out. Parking is a breeze with plenty of parking spots in the shared lot of this business strip. I'm a fan of Bartell's. Unlike other neighborhood drug stores Bartell's actually feels like it's a part of your neighborhood with its local products. Gotta love the Seahawks swag, Theo and Seattle Chocolates products, and even Funko pops! I choose Bartell's over Walgreens, CVS, Rite Aid, etc...every time!

However, I usually don't need to wait for a long time when I come here around 2-3pm when it's slow. First of all, it's impossible to get a hold of this pharmacy. They never answer the phone and it always goes to voicemail. You have to leave your number on the voicemail and wait for a call back. No other way to contact them. So yeah if you're in a pinch and need your meds or you need to talk to a pharmacist...good luck. Wait times I came on a Friday right before the lunch rush around 11am and there were 2 people in front of me. I thought the line would move quickly but they only had 1 kiosk open out of 3 and the guy at the kiosk was someone in training. After about half an hour, I finally got to the kiosk. I had 4 prescriptions to pick up and the pharmacy counter looked like a zoo. He couldn't find the meds and was looking one by one in different baskets... it was like a kid on an Easter hunt. He even had the audacity to say "wow these things are hard to find." Idk why cvs would put all my 4 meds in different baskets... why can't it go under the patients name? I was literally there for another 20 mins waiting on him to find my meds. Meanwhile I turn my head around and the line is now 12 people in line...... It was so ridiculous. This is the worst pharmacy I have ever been to.
