End cap display with digital pricing
    Eva M.

This is one of four QFC stores I frequent, by far, it's the newest and biggest, although soon to be challenged by the new Kirkland Urban QFC which is opening soon. This location, on average, has the widest collection of everything, from flavors of ice cream to types of pizza, especially if something is on sale and the other stores are cleared out. During the most recent visit, I found the baggie of all purple potatoes that two other QFC and one Fred Meyer did not carry. Once again, my faith in this store is reinforced. During the recent visit, I was surprised to see digital pricing. (See photos) Partly impressed and partly appalled with the electricity used. Sigh. Maybe that's less wasteful than the scraps of paper used to denote sale prices every week. At this location, there's also a Panda Express, if you like that. Me - I just think it makes the front portion of the store smell funny. :P

Hey QFC, thanks for the 85% ground beef! At $7/lb I'd expect better than this 24 hours later. N-A-S-T-Y. Covid-19 is no excuse to sell garbage to your customers.

This QFC always has things on sale in the deli you can grab for a quick lunch or snack. My favorite parts of this store are the Panda Express, Starbucks, the bulk cookie stand, and $5 sushi Wednesdays. I'v never had bad customer service here, and the sushi quality especially is amazing. Tip: check your produce, especially berries! They aren't always refrigerated, so I frequently find one or two moldy berries in a container.

This looks nothing like the birthday cake I asked for. Very disappointed. A month before my son asked for a birthday cake in the display so I took a photo. I showed the photo when I ordered the cake. I was told they did not have the primary colors balloons, only pastels, and if they did not get any in they would supplement with a Spider-Man mask decor. No Spider-Man decor but the here are the pastel balloons that I didn't want on a cake that looks nothing like what was expected.

Chemo pills we tried drop off at QFC pharmacy. We were trying to be good citizens and we didn't receive any answers for any questions.

Written for our Saturday, February 2, 2019 Visit: Panda Express employees were the most friendly and helpful here. This review isn't for them. The night staff at this QFC in the specified date treated us as if we were inconveniencing them. We were directed to the night manager by an aloof male associate for questions. The night manager was so disinterested in helping us. He wouldn't even make eye contact and kept up his tasks at the register with an air of disinterest. We asked when the pharmacy would be open for medicine drop-offs and he gave us an attitude. Our question was not 100% unanswered because he didn't offer a time window of when to return. He told us he didn't know! We had to ask him in the first place because we couldn't find hours online or in-store. Aren't managers supposed to learn and know these things? Night manager also probably assumed we were homeless tweakers because I was carrying a random trash bag full of junk. My trash bag was full of actual teratogenic chemotherapy pills. We were dropping them off at QFC because the person, my boyfriend's mom, had already begun to die. My bf and I were very tired and sad because we had been taking care of my boyfriend's deathly sick mother 24/7 (who passed on 2/6). You know, we sometimes just need questions asked face-to-face so as to feel like we're having a normal day without having just witnessed a family member slowly dying of lymphoma. We sometimes just want a normal answer to a normal question without your bitchiness. We were basically treated poorly and I'll never forget the Saturday when we went to QFC to get our sad task done only to be met with poor behavior. The aloof associate we originally asked for help took steps afterward to hide away in one of the aisles so we wouldn't bother him. He saw us coming and ducked to hide. Classy! I worked in customer service before for over two years. This is definitely not the proper way to treat store visitors.

The store is very clean and well stocked. Every time I visit, I use the self checkout and love the number of machines they have. You rarely have to wait for one. The staff members are friendly, and the sales are pretty good. There's a Starbucks and Panda Express attached.

That's why my recent experience at this Walgreens stood out, but also why I feel this review needs to be balanced. We actually transferred our prescriptions here from Safeway a couple of months ago, hoping that a larger pharmacy would be more reliable when it comes to keeping medications in stock. At Safeway, we often found ourselves scrambling to locate another pharmacy because they simply didn't have our medications in stock. Unfortunately, even though we've only been at Walgreens a short time, it has still been a stressful experience. It's very difficult to get through by phone, and there have been multiple times where I've been on hold for 20 minutes only to have the call disconnected. Prescriptions are not always ready when expected, which adds to the stress. We've had moments where we're close to running out of a medication and it's still "in progress," leaving us rushing to the store at the last minute. There also seems to be some kind of disconnect between their fulfillment system and the pharmacy itself. To be fair, this doesn't seem unique to this location. Many pharmacies these days appear to be short staffed and dealing with medication shortages, and it's clear the people working there are doing their best under difficult circumstances. I truly don't believe these issues are the fault of the staff, but rather a reflection of how these companies are being run. That said, the reason I'm giving three stars instead of a lower rating is because of Grant, the pharmacist. He truly went above and beyond to help us with several prescriptions. He was not only knowledgeable, but also incredibly kind and genuinely sympathetic. Instead of rushing through things, he took the time to really understand what we needed and jumped right in to help. It was such a refreshing experience and made a stressful situation so much easier. Grant is absolutely the shining light at this location and honestly the reason we're willing to stick around and hope things improve. His level of care and willingness to help is something you don't come across every day, and we're very grateful for him.

My doctor wanted me to get these meds in my system ASAP - as it was important. So I'm here WAITING for them to be filled - mAubry 20 minutes. Good grief!!! This is on a Sunday too. No excuse for poorly run pharmacies and bad systems and processes. Makes you wonder why they felt compelled to put up this sign.

Amoxicillin is an oral antibiotic that you can buy over the counter in any apothecary in Europe and most likely Asia. I have a gum infection below a tooth & this drug would make short work of the infection. But not here in the U.S. without a prescription. That means you have to visit a doctor $$$$$ which may not be cost effective for many. We also found a lot of doctors will want to run a bunch of tests, most just to make money for the doctor and no help to you. Do a search on Drugs.com and you will see it truly is a generic drug. I picked Walgreens simply because they probably have more clot as they are located in a hospital. I did a search of Canadian drug stores, could spend a week and get no where. I am not sure if contacting your Representative would help, I never got a response in the past from any. Remember they are in the pocket of big business and they don't give a rats about you. I know, I tried in the past contacting our Representatives and our Governor, you know that guy that has warmed the chair in Olympia for 12 years, and now thinks he is ready for a bigger chair in DC. First of all, it's impossible to get a hold of this pharmacy. They never answer the phone and it always goes to voicemail. You have to leave your number on the voicemail and wait for a call back. Wait times I came on a Friday right before the lunch rush around 11am and there were 2 people in front of me. I thought the line would move quickly but they only had 1 kiosk open out of 3 and the guy at the kiosk was someone in training. After about half an hour, I finally got to the kiosk. I had 4 prescriptions to pick up and the pharmacy counter looked like a zoo. He couldn't find the meds and was looking one by one in different baskets... it was like a kid on an Easter hunt. He even had the audacity to say "wow these things are hard to find." Idk why cvs would put all my 4 meds in different baskets... why can't it go under the patients name? I was literally there for another 20 mins waiting on him to find my meds. Meanwhile I turn my head around and the line is now 12 people in line...... It was so ridiculous.
