I want to jump ahead of myself and say that this is the ONLY place that I've been able to get a gel manicure and it not peel off! I explained to them the problems I have with gel nails staying on, they offered me that they can help me ... Sure enough!! Tomorrow my gel nails will have been on for 2 weeks! Washing dishes, laundry, work ... There isn't a SINGLE LIFT to my polish!! It's unbelievable to me. THEY ARE TRUE EXPERTS. Q nails has impeccable quality in their services, & everyone is friendly, timely, personable. All of my nail tools come out of sterilized & sealed packaging. I have never once worried about their technique or safe handling of me. :) I've never seen more polish colours... Essie, OPI, CND, Jessica Morgan ... And more! I've been coming here since they opened many many years ago... they are consistent in their work. They take sanitation very seriously. Over the years they have added stations and personnel to accommodate the amount of customers they attain. I've never had so much as one complaint. The prices are reasonable. They will do the best they can to fit you in if you don't have an appointment. They do get busy and we all know that means they are doing something right! I've been back fairly regularly since the prior review. I'm upgrading a star for a few reasons: They have new chairs - and they are AWESOME. Clean. Comfortable. Various kinds of massages are available. They move back and forth and up and down. They have even more colors available. Who knew that was possible? They manage the heating/cooling better these days. There is limited turnover of staff which tends to be a good sign. If you want a nice relaxing pedi this is the place to come. read more

A friend and I tried to go to different salon but they couldn't fit us in so I found Q Nails on Yelp and it seemed to be the second best nail salon in Buffalo. The staff was friendly and got us right in for pedicures and gel manicures, they were speedy but I didn't feel like they were rushing us in and out. Our nails booth looked good but they weren't great. The nail tech didn't take the gel polish as close to my cuticles as I would have liked, so just done they already looked like they had grown out a few days. On my pedicure they cut my nail all the down to the quick so it hurts and feels like it might get ingrown if I don't watch it. Also, they missed painting half of my pinky toe nail. Not sure how that happened. Over all the experience wasn't bad, but they could use a little closer look at detail. read more

I was charged $7 extra because on this day my nails were longer and mind you the same tech has been doing my nails since I started going here plus that day she cut them down as always when I go ,trust me I don't wear long nails that's not me. But I guess they must have had a meeting that day /week let's find a way to charge more $$$$$this week. Also I was told we don't make appointments two weeks in advance mind you this was after I over heard him making an appointment for a customer while I was sitting there, that's why I say different treatment for different customers. It's sad that the person that runs this nail shop makes his worker look bad , the nail tech Cherry is great at what she does their just doing what their told. Well on to the next . DO NOT GO HERE. I am so appalled at how the owner Pong spoke to me, I will never step back inside. (I calculated how much I believe my mom, sister and I spent over our lifetime at Q Nails and I estimate it to be 1 mani/pedi/eyebrows/tip per month x 3 people x 12 months x 12 years = $11,340 ). Not giving 1 more penny to this place! Here was my last experience: I have been going here since I was 16 years old, Q Nails had just opened. My mom and I were probably customers number 1 and 2... over the years the owner Pong has been increasingly rude and disrespectful. I went in this week for a manicure and Pong said he could take me in 15 minutes so I told him I would be back in 5 minutes as I had to pick something up next door for my elderly grandmother, he immediately yelled at me and said 'you can't leave. If you leave no manicure for you.' After I questioned this, Pong then rudely said 'now you have to wait 45 minutes. I can't take you.' I know he did this in spite. I asked him why he changed what he originally said (he hates to be questioned) and then snapped on me again and literally told me to leave. It was quite embarrassing the tone he used towards me in front of other customers. Pong you should respect those customers who have been coming to you since day one. I feel bad for the nice ladies that work for him, as he thinks he's the most important person in all of Lancaster. Had nails done and two already broke after 5 days. Seem thin. I expected to pay $40 for dip nails but they charged me an extra $5 to remove my other dip nails. I think that is a rip off! My nail tech only received a $5 tip because the owner charged me the $5 and that's all the cash I had. Very disappointed. The dip nails do not come with a manicure either. That's $9 more dollars. I also paid for dipped nails along with a mani since it doesn't come with so it's an extra cost for me. I was pretty disappointed she didn't do a great job pushing my cuticles back. I always give him a hard task because I like to experiment with different designs and colors of acrylic, and with little convincing, he accepts the challenge. By far the best nail place in WNY...the first thing you will notice is how unbelievably clean it is. Phong & Heidi take a lot of pride in their business and it's not uncommon to see Phong cleaning when he has down time ( or telling a joke). I have been going to Q Nails for 5 years now and I would never go anywhere else. They do the best gel manicures! They can accommodate large groups of people too- the did the gel manicures and pedicures for my wedding party and everyone was so happy. Heidi and Brittany are my favorite but they are hard to get because everybody loves them so you definitely need to make an appointment and request them. You can't walk-in to Q Nails because they are always so busy so plan ahead and make an appointment. I have been there when people walk in and get upset that they can't just walk in. Very reasonably priced at the quality that you are getting- I was recently in my friend's wedding and we all got manis and pedis at a local spa. I've been going coming here for a few years, not all visits have been a five star rating. At first there sign says walk ins are welcome ,clearly they are not. When you ask for a special tech the owner will say she is off. (why is that, when clearly she is there working with a different customer). Sometimes my job will not allow me to have nails and I am on a fixed income so i can't go every two weeks. That should not matter. Recently i was there and decided I had enough of this place. The tech i had clearly was going to charge me HER prices. I had a new set with gel color. which is 48.00 i think (or what i usually pay) Well she charged me for removal of the old polish 7.00 (which they did not soak them or foiled them) she did the regular removal, charged me for the nails 48.00 and then charged me to polish my nails 9.00 i had gel polish for a total of 62.00 and then said she took 2.00 off. When i asked why so much she said my nails were long(what does that have to do with any thing). I figured 60.00 was crazy. So i called back to talk to another tech and was told that was what she said. I figured she didn't want to get involved . Neither the owner or his wife were there to speak too. The price menu clearly says 48.00 NOT every service done separate. There were other small problems but this is the last time they will get money from me. I don't understand this because they have a great business why loose customers for bad customer service. The rest of the tech are wonderful and i've never had a problem with them ugh! read more

Called this place for the first time to ask if they had any openings for a pedicure. They didnt close for a few hours. I let the guy know I am a 15 minute drive away. He says some unintelligible banter about "getting there faster, okay?". I clarified again I live fifteen minutes away. He continues with his crap about "maybe you can get here in ten minutes." I told him to forget it! A pedicure is supposed to be relaxing. When you can't even make an appointment without being rushed, I suggest steering clear otherwise. I go here a lot for eyebrow/lip waxes. It's close by the office so I can run on my lunch break. I never make an appt, but they are always able to take me quickly. It seems sketchy because they bring you into this walk in closet area to get them done. But, they do a great job and for a great price. Their pedicures are also great too - not a luxury spa - but rather a little shop in Tops plaza. Every time since I felt rushed and as if I was bothering them and I had an appt!! Got my nails done wanted to make an appt for my next visit was told to call. Why??? It takes 2 seconds I want 2 weeks from today! We busy can't right now! Had 2:30 appt and they called someone else at 2:30 I wanted to know how long since I had 2:30 apt and he was very rude! They are so nice! Clean and bright store, with music videos playing in the background. Friendly, helpful staff. They switched my appointment time around to accommodate my schedule. They took me with no waiting. I am visiting from San Francisco and I wish my nail place at home was like Q Nails! I went back the next day with my two kids and my friends' kid for mani-pedis and they got the whole package, foot bath, massage, everything. They treated them just like any other customer, even my four-year-old son. They painted little flowers on my daughter's fingers and toes, and didn't bat an eyelash when she messed up the same nail three times. They just smiled and fixed it. read more
