Very friendly service, great burnt ends, super moist turkey. Hush puppies could be a stand alone meal, they're so good. Family friendly, great casual atmosphere. Super clean bathrooms, I know that's weird, but I am super suspicious of restaurants with dirty bathrooms. We're definitely regulars. Why not 5 stars? Pass on the Mexican corn, those ain't elotes, friend. Also, the sweet tea just isn't southern sweet tea. It's tea with sugar. Other than that, solid local counter service BBQ joint. I ordered the large combo for the table. Brisket was dry, pulled pork was dry, burnt ends were pretty good. I'm from Memphis and have never heard of a Memphis style wing. Also, Memphis style ribs are traditionally spare not baby-back although there are some exceptions. I think the main problem I had was that everything was coated in sugar. Yes, sugar is part of every self-respecting rub but it shouldn't taste like candy. Now for my biggest issue. I'm seeing an trend in new places where you stand in line to order then they bring you the food at your table. Here's the problem. Your first impression of a restaurant shouldn't be standing in line. No one likes to stand in line! Also, if you want another beer or wine, you have to get back in line and pay again. I'm just saying, if you are going to bring me the order anyway, pay for a wait staff $5/hr and let them earn tips. read more

I received my food within 10 minutes so you know everything was pre- prepared and that is probably the issue. The ribs were pretty dry. The meatier parts of the rib were like dry pork loin. I have been eagerly awaiting the opening of this location in my neighborhood. I am happy to say I was not disappointed. This place offers some of the best BBQ I've ever had. I have been here several times since they have opening and have tried a variety of things on their menu and I would highly recommend everything. I decided to give the burnt ends a go and I ordered after my friend who got the burnt ends with coleslaw and macaroni and cheese. I couldn't help but hear his total was 14 something with a drink as well. So i order burnt ends with mac and Mexican street corn. The guy takes my order and says 18.01. Then the food comes out and instantly i can tell the burnt ends are no good. Real burnt ends are not smothered in sauce with no crispness to them. Just the look alone was enough to bring the experience down and the flavor didn't help either. The sides were the best part of it except i didn't like the broken up cheese-its that were all over the top. The Mexican street corn had a nice spice to it with good flavor. Been visiting this location since it opened. It's definitely not my go to for amazing bbq but when I have the itch for the taste and because it's close by, this would do. However, even that level of quality has went down. They're pretty pricey so I expect the food to be fresh and not over cooked! I was happy when they used to offer the 10% discount to local workers in OP but then stopped it because too many people came in asking about it. This was so disappointing. For starters, there is no indication that smoke has touched any of the food. For the purists, it doesn't even qualify as barbecue. More importantly, however, the mac-and-cheese tastes like it came out of a box; the spices in the Mexican street corn are great, but the corn itself tastes like it was frozen and not fresh. Ate there for the first time today. This place is great. The food is good and the location is perfect. What makes Q 5 stars, though, is the staff, which is really top-notch. I was greeted at the door by a very friendly gentleman who went through the whole menu with me and was amazingly helpful. Q Bbq have been here many times 1st time to the one in Oak Park I usually go to the one in Lagrange, Q isn't bad it's ok, meats are a little on the dry side but smokey and tasty, hush puppies are really good they usually come with everything you order, I ordered the half slab St. Louis ribs today ( I usually order the meat platters ) came with 2 sides of my choice, I chose slaw and salad, slaw was good salad was standard, ribs were a little dry but the smokiness saved it gives it a good flavor, variety of sauces to choose from in the squeeze bottle which is always a plus, my favorite is the Carolina vinegar, don't get me wrong this place isn't bad I'm really picky about my Bbq I frequent the rib fest in Naperville every year ( which has the best Bbq I've ever had ) plus I like to go to the various good Bbq places we have here in Chicago and we have a lot of good ones for the Midwest, Bbq is expensive everywhere you go so don't expect anything different here, service is always a plus too, stick with the meat platters you could add up to as many meats as you want and I destroy them every time I go, brisket and the burnt ends are the best meats here, one of the only places I know that has burnt ends, when I need a Bbq fix and don't wanna travel far I go here, they probably just leave the meat on the smoker too long. read more

I think this could be GREAT... But it's not. As someone with multiple food allergies I was SO impressed when I saw the comprehensive allergen list on their website. It convinced me I could find something here that would work. It is GREAT that they smoke all their meats and you can order them dry to avoid the sauces - yay! Gluten free options! But I was so surprised that EVERY salad dressing has dairy and soy! Even their balsamic vinaigrette has dairy! And they don't have any olive oil in the restaurant? So ... I ate my iceberg lettuce with dry brisket. The brisket was good. (Just... You know... Dry) Adding one allergen free dressing would make this an allergy friendly restaurant (instead of just posing as one with the list on the website). FYI I know not everyone has food allergies. My husband got the meat platter and loved it. He got the brisket and the ribs. He thought the Mexican corn was awesome. read more

They need to work on dessert but hey there are 2 ice cream/yogurt places within a block so no worries. I ordered the two-item meal with baked beans and cole slaw. The pork was a little dry but tasty. Same with the Memphis ribs. Still, the pork was tender, a reasonable (not large) portion and a choice of sauces. The ribs were tender with a nice crust. The baked beans side was just okay. The cole slaw was bland and watery. A nice mayonnaise cole slaw would have been perfect. My dinner partner liked his sausage and raved about the mac and cheese side. Ribs - Velvety and Succulent meat glides away from the bone. Pulled pork was tastefully done and full of flavours. Sausage had great spicing and perfect blend. Even the sides baked beans - great flavour and texture, and mac n cheese were done with expertise. I opted for salad and coleslaw for other two sides. They also sell BBQ with little over $6 for a bottle. Staff were very helpful to assist us and very friendly. I and My Husband waited few months for this place to open. Definitely worth the wait!!!
