Neat little restaurant that is below street level. Just a small sign outside so when Google or Apple Maps brings you to what is supposed to be the location and you can't see it, ask around or look around and you'll find that a sign points downstairs.
The service here was excellent. Waiters are prompt, attentive, and multi-lingual to a good degree.
I went for the sausage pan fry and my wife had the truffle cheese fondue. I thought my dish was good but not amazing. Essentially, rustic beef sausage with herbs on a bed of what we might call hash brown potatoes in the USA. the fondue was also solid. Lots of steamed whole potatoes and bread cubes that were baked like hard (hard) mini rolls. Nice. Enough for at least two. The salad that came with the sausage fry was a nice mixed green.
All of the food was good, but not the best ever for me. Hard to offer why other than perhaps it's because I would not normally eat such fat rich food in the quantities that are customary here. Maybe some minor issues have to do with under seasoning except for the cheese in the fondue.
Some of our companions had the rib eye steak, served on a sizzling platter. I got a taste and that was very good.
So, solid place to get treated well and have some Swiss legacy food. read more
