I'm going full-on 4 stars for a mall court restaurant maybe because it's in the food court. Pyramids could be a standalone greek takeout spot and is by far the best option at the Opry Mills food court (not counting dine-in, enclosed options). It's a touch (maybe 10-15%) higher than it should be, but even the Popeye's in the court bumps up their rates for the location. The first time I ate here some time back I opted for the gyro wrap and fries. I should've skipped the added "seasoned salt" option as the fries were way too salty but the gyro was good. This time around, I went with the gyro plate, complete with a greek salad and rice. Lots of food for the price, every part of the plate from the jasmine rice to the tzatziki sauce was on point, and I was in and out in time for a movie at the Opry Regal in no time. My partner got the gyro wrap this time, with fries--skipping the added salt and they were much better than the ones I had last time. Friendly service. Just make sure to not get up-sold as a bit of hummus and a bottle of water (stress "tap") later and you're looking at $20 for fast food at the mall which honestly should never be the case. read more

I will say that the food was tasty; however, I felt totally disrespected when I ordered. I purchased an item with the price being clearly listed but when my item came it was a super small portion so I asked for a different piece bc I wanted the larger piece. They lady LIED and told me I paid for a small piece, even though ALL the pieces are the same price. The woman ahead of me was given extra sauce and the man was super friendly to her, when I came up behind her, he was super short with me and gave me nothing special (mind you I saw the woman order and she did NOT order extra, I even had to tell her the man was tryna give her extra sauce). I love the food here. It is one of my go to spots. I dont ask for condiments because I dont even think it needs it. One time, pepper and mushrooms () ended up in my Philly Cheesesteak, but they were very kind to replace it immediately. Very friendly people. Great food and value. Chose them as one of the healthiest food court options and for their good Yelp ratings. The sample chicken tasted fresh and had good seasoning. The woman who eventually rang me up was quite aggressive. I had the combo plate and got grilled chicken in place of gyro meat for about $8.70. I got plenty of delicious warm rice, chicken, grilled onions and cucumber salad. I don't like tabouleh. I chose feta cheese, red onion slices, tomato slices, kalamata olives (too tangy!) and cucumber dip as my extras. The dressing needed more flavor. Overall it was a huge, satisfying meal. My leftovers will make a nice meal. Other toppings included black olives, shredded cheddar and jalapeño peppers. Oh, and the pita bread is great! Soft and warm. I like seeing them grill my meat and cut up the pita. The guy swiftly put the dip in the cups. I thought I ordered the meal with hummus but didn't get any. I just realized this. What are you supposed to do when you have tickets to the Grand Ole Opry but have only half an hour to eat? Such was the plight of me and Jamie W. as we were readying for our first-time show there. We spent the day downtown and couldn't quite figure out whether we could eat there and brave the traffic. Alas, we decided to play it safe and quickly minimized our dining options to the food court at Opry Mills, the chaotic shopping mall across the way from the theater. We were hoping to find a hot chicken stand but no such luck, so we were swayed by the loud-mouthed girl who was acting like a carnival barker getting people to come to her kiosk of Middle Eastern fast food. The minute we got up to order, we were treated like prisoners at a cafeteria as they kept motioning us to keep moving along even though there was nobody behind us. It was actually quite a bit of food even for Nashville, although I frankly don't understand this Deep South habit of adding a pile of shredded cheddar cheese as a topping. I just wish they didn't feel a need to be so abrasive to passing customers like they were aspiring to be the Don Rickles of gyros stands. HORRIFIC incident that happened to us at the OPRY MILLS location. I am NOT one to write bad reviews but this is alarming!!! Called public health and they said they couldn't get anyone out. I am posting this to prevent anyone from getting sick or being of risk. I got a tabouli salad there and ate almost half the salad when I discovered a USED DIRTY BLOODY BANDAID in it! We approached them about it and they not only did not refund us (which we don't care about the $5 or whatever it was) but when we told them they need to remove it- they put it to the side and then PUT IT BACK OUT AND WERE SERVING IT TO PEOPLE AGAIN! We've watched 5 other people eat it and still don't know how else to report it! We did send an email and talked to someone on the phone from Metro Public Health Department still trying to file a formal complaint with an incident number as well. read more

I know it's a mall chain restaurant, but it's good. The ordering process is a little, odd, though. A lady approached me with a pen and pad and asked for my order. I then walked to the cashier to pay. Then I would go through the cafeteria-style line and show the servers my ticket. They then quickly scooped up all the yummy goodness. I got the gyro platter, which was good. It was cut a little too thick for my taste and perhaps there was a little too much "doughy" stuff (I have no idea what's in gyro meat except lamb and beef, but this one, had something else). The rice was really buttery. However, it may have been cooked a little too long, or sat in the warming tray for a little too long, since it was getting on the mushy side. The cucumber salad, surprisingly, was excellent. If I was a vegetarian, I would just go for the cucumber salad. Finally, there was the price - pretty good for the area and "mall food." For a food court, this spot offers pretty good quality Greek food. A plate can feed two people so it's pretty affordable. We got the Pyramid Club plate and the meal was nice and hearty with a healthy portion of vegetables to overcome all the meat. The curly fries were crispy and decently seasoned. As far as mall food court options go I was pretty impressed with Pyramids. There weren't very many options to pick from that I didn't feel guilty or disgusted by in the Opry food court but there are a heck of a lot of options for sure. I had heard someone tell me if you have to eat at the mall, eat at Pyramids so we sped right up to their counter. All the employees were shouting at passersby, try our chicken, try out hummus! Very pushy in an endearing middle eastern sort of way that actually I'm quite used to. I could see this being off putting for a lot of other folks but oh well if you're scared away you're missing out! I knew I wanted the Gyro sandwich with fries and let them know, my boyfriend got a gyro plate, we both got lamb and to my surprise they wanted to know what I wanted on my sandwich. I've never been asked a gyro stand what I wanted on my sandwich, Tzatziki, tomatoes, onions and lettuce, duh. Seasoned fries? Yes of course, duh! They don't mess around with servings at this place...gigantic, which sort of offsets the obscene mall food prices. We both got sodas and our tab I think was like $22! I thought the gyro meat itself was the best part of my meal. The Tzatziki was probably from a jar but sufficed, and the lettuce and tomatoes were pretty useless but again compared to other mall food I've had this was okay. For some dumb reason I've been passing this place up as my go-to for a quick lunch. Made that mistake but never again. For starters, every dish can either be served as a sandwich or a plate (for a $2 up-charge) and comes with toppings you can pick and choose. I got the gyro plate complete with cucumber type salad, rice, hummus, onion, black olive, cheese and ranch dressing. The plate was overflowing so I asked for a take-home box because I knew I wouldn't be able to finish it all. It's enough food for 2, almost 3, meals really so it's already worth the price. This place is surprisingly good - especially for a food court. My wife and I shared the gyro plate and it was plenty of food for lunch for two. The gyro meat was flavorful and sliced thin over white rice (I would have preferred something other than white rice, but that's what it came with) with a salad and pita quarters. Everything was tasty and the folks on the line were fun and friendly, albeit a bit rushed. I would return often if I was in Opry Mills. They constantly try to get your attention (I know Im at the mall, but still) and once they have you, they ignore the paying customer to try to get the attention of other passers by.
