Stopped in on Nov 3, 2025 for a take-away lunch and I'm glad I did. The Thyme Chicken and the hummus were excellent--fresh & flavorful. Service was quick, and while I didn't have time to dine in, the space looked great: ample seating, a bar, and a warm, inviting vibe. There is also an outside dining area that would be great when the weather is nice. It's an easy walk from 21st Avenue on Belcourt and a new addition to the Hillsboro/Vandy area. If you haven't been, check it out!

This was some of the best food I've had in awhile. From the moment you pull up this restaurant is inviting. The decor is beautiful and clean. The staff answered every question we had and was prompt and friendly. Now the food...it was so good. I really didn't know what to expect with the flavor but it was good! The chicken was flavorful and juicy. Whatever sauce is on the salad should be bottled and sold separately. It was delicious on everything and not just the salad. No complaints here and I can't wait to go back and try more of the menu

Have had this spot bookmarked for awhile & found myself near the hospital later on a Friday night with perfect weather so the wife & I ate outside. The decor here is really nice both inside & out. Service is quick & friendly. Food is delicious. We had some hummus with warm pita to start. Wife got the chicken shish kabob & I had the iskender plate. Everything was hot & so good. Really hit the spot after a long strenuous work day. Looking forward to my next meal here to try something else!

I came here about a year ago, and still the same great experience and service! The chicken kabobs were so yummy and the pasta sauce was amazing!! Everyone was so friendly as well.

5 stars for service, ambiance and food in a category of casual and home made food (at least how it tasted to me). Very authentically made alinazik, smoky flavor, light and delicious. Less impressed with the spicy chicken - a bit greasy for my liking, and odd to see macaroni as part of Turkish plate. Next time I'd try something "cleaner", and more traditional.

Only Chicken has a great atmosphere, friendly service, and very tasty food. I enjoyed their plating, highlighting each portion of the meal clearly as you dig in. I had the thyme chicken and found each bit delicious. What a great little spot for a meal. Glad that I found it while I was nearby.

Okay so. I'm not sure what to call this place. It certainly isn't authentic, but the food IS good. I got the thyme chicken with pasta and salad. The salad dressing is a sort of pink whipped ranch which is fun, and the pasta is just your standard pasta with cheese sauce. The chicken was really tasty and savory. I enjoyed it all, but I'm just not sure what it was. Is it Mediterranean? Is it Greek? Is it Italian? I guess those all fall under the Mediterranean umbrella, but it's just not something I've seen before, and I'm not yet sure how to feel about it.

Wonderful, very Flavorful Dishes. Amazing Service, especially for Disabled Persons! Comfortable seating inside and outside for friends and families alike! It's worth a trip to come and eat here anytime!

The food was delicious. Cannot recommended this amazing experience located near the Belcourt theater more. Loved the totally relaxed vibe with the great selection of Bossa Nova music. As another reviewer said "The ingredients are all fresh, the service great, the food spectacular" and I couldn't agree more. I had the chicken shish kabob, my friend had the chicken curry and we split the hummus. Everything was so flavorful. Total comfort food, which brightened the chilly day we went. The hummus was freshly made and well seasoned. Both chicken dishes were absolutely delicious. The chicken was so tender and juicy. The fries that came with the chicken curry are some of the best fries we've had as they were perfectly crispy and well seasoned. Cannot wait to come back to try other dishes and the front patio when the weather is warmer.

Would def comeback! Good pasta, good rice, the chicken is good, but can be better. But it's good. Wonderful service, kind staff, super super clean, cozy, good overall!

It's interesting. We wanted to meet with friends, not to be any high scale restaurant, rather the one more relaxed, low key with a good food. As you can guess we got it. Thanks to fellow Yelpies a their reviews we ended up having dinner at "Only Chicken". Exteriors of the restaurant is colorful and is appealing and welcoming. You have the same filing walking inside, warm and welcoming. Service was great. We got engaged in a very nice conversation with the owner. Because we love Turkish Cuisine we exchanged with him some way of food preparation. We, all loved our meal choices. My choice, Spicy Chicken was delicious. Hopefully, I will have opportunity to refer "Only Chi" to my friends as a good place to go.

Sampler appetizer, a bit of everything to try
Annette M.

First time in today after reading glowing Yelp reviews and the restaurant did not disappoint. Excellent and friendly service. Everything we tried was affordable and fantastic. Our favorites were the sampler appetizer, chicken wings, thyme chicken and baklava dessert. Everything was cooked fresh and super flavorful. We enjoyed our meal on the cute patio on a beautiful evening in Nashville. Can't wait to come back and try more menu items. PS for Vandy students, restaurant will be added to Taste of Nashville and accepting Commodore Cash in August.

Food 5/5 Turkish restaurant with plenty of variety and the menu had pictures to help you select if your visual like me. I don't think you can choose anything "wrong" on this menu. All of the food was OUTSTANDING. The temperature, flavor, portion and presentation were just right! Service 5/5 Our waiter was the owner (that we later found out) and he was so personable and friendly. I believe his name was Ozan (?) He was helpful with suggesting menu favorites and continuously checking on us. He even blessed us with a complimentary dessert, which was out of this world! Ambiance 5/5 The ambiance is casual with inside/outside dining options. We sat outside on a nice sunny day. I can not wait to get back here and take my mother! Y'all have a great thing g going on at Only Chicken!!!

I can't speak to the authenticity of the Turkish cuisine here, but I can speak to the food quality. Starting off is a beautiful focaccia loaf with a mix of light spices and olive oil. It's odd to say bread is relaxing and refreshing but here it is. The hummus is quite the same, lightly spiced but bright and refreshing. The ezme is interesting. To me it resembles a Turkish version of chips and salsa, very tomato forward but lightly spiced. Only complaint of the meal for me was the lamb kabobs. I am notorious for over seasoning things, and that is simply how my palette is. The lamb was cooked perfectly, not dried out and moist, however I would've liked a little more seasoning. The Billur kabob has been a repeat favorite of mine over the years. The combination of sautéed eggplant, pashamal sauce and onions/peppers/mushrooms creates an explosion of varying textures and tastes. Everything sort of melds together perfectly once it's cooked on the stone oven and becomes a cohesive entree better than the sum of its parts. The servers are always very attentive, respectful and knowledgeable about the menu. When I first started coming here they always had fantastic recommendations. All in all this has been and continues to be a delicious meal no matter what I have ordered here.

We made a special visit to Osh to try them on a weekend trip to Nashville about a month ago. I'd…read moresaved them in my Nashville bookmarks for some time after they received a lot of acclaim on Yelp - I believe at one time they were on a Yelp list of best restaurants in the US. We were certainly excited to try Uzbek food, as there's nowhere that serves it where we live. The restaurant doesn't look like too much from the outside and the parking lot is a little run down. However, the inside is very updated and super clean and comfortable. There's lots of seating, what appears to be a private room in the back, and some high-tech features, like a machine that you can use to alert waitstaff if you need a refill, a to-go box, or any other kind of attention. The bathrooms were also immaculate. Service was a little strange. I wouldn't say it was slow - every time we placed an order or had a request, our food or items were promptly brought out to us. However, the challenge came in getting the attention of our waitresses. Two ladies took care of us, alternating based on availability. One was very nice and friendly, the other a little gruff and irritable-seeming. But both were completely averse to coming in and checking on us without one of us flagging them down. Perhaps they're used to the little machines? I don't like using those because they come across as too demanding; I'd prefer to just be visited and checked in on from time to time by staff. Not so here. Despite not being very busy, our visit took a lot of time, even though the actual food service was fairly quick. Onto the food, the most important part. We ordered a lot because I wanted to experience as many unique dishes as possible. One waitress first brought out a complimentary serving of pita and what I believe was suzma, which the menu describes as a yogurt-based cheese. This was one of the highlights of our meal, actually, as the pita was hot, fresh, and very lightly charred. The suzma went very well with it. Then we ordered a chicken somsa and some Uzbek bread. The chicken somsa was alright; the pastry was delightfully flaky, but for me it was way too onion-forward. The Uzbek bread was another highlight. It was a temperature and textural delight - so warm and fluffy - if not a flavor bomb. It was great to polish off the remaining suzma from our complimentary treat. For entrees, my husband wanted to try the signature osh, while I ordered chicken shashlik. The osh was probably the better of the two but he didn't love it. It was quite greasy and the lamb was on the gamey side. My chicken shashlik had definitely been near charcoal too long; it had an overly-charred, unpleasant chemical-y taste. The accompanying rice had so much butter or oil in it that it was greasy, too, and although that imparted more flavor into it, I felt gross after a couple of bites. Everything was cooked well, just the flavors really didn't quite come together for us on this visit. It's hard for me to believe, given the average outstanding reviews and consistent praise this place gets, that our experience was an average one. Perhaps we just came on an off day or ordered the wrong things for our palates, since we're fairly unfamiliar with this cuisine. I would be willing to try again some day, but sadly our first visit didn't quite wow the way we'd hoped it would. I appreciate the clean and pretty environment and quickly prepared food!

We started with the spinach fatayer, arnabeet, and the hummus beyrouti. The hummus beyrouti (classic hummus topped with chopped sirloin) was good, but not a standout--I'd probably try something else before ordering it again. The spinach fatayer and arnabeet, though, were great. As two people who don't usually love beets, the arnabeet totally surprised us--you really don't taste much beet, and the cauliflower shines. The spinach fatayer was fluffy with a perfectly seasoned filling. Our mains came with a small side of the Epice salad. It was fine, but probably wouldn't order it on its own. I got the za'atar roasted chicken and it was cooked perfectly--super moist on the inside with deliciously crispy skin. The yogurt sauce it sits on was amazing; I just wish there was more of it. Jonathan ordered the lamb shank, and wow. It was fall-off-the-bone tender and such a hearty, comforting cold-weather dish. Food came out so quickly--we were in and out in about an hour, which was a huge plus. We were too full for dessert, but everything looked incredible and definitely gives us a reason to come back. Shoutout to Steven for great service and spot-on recommendations. Great vibes and amazing food all around.
