One of the most memorable meals of the trip. We ordered the Chick-In Feast, Feast for 6. The meal started with solid appetizers. Four fried phyllo dough rolls with chicken (wish this was 6 since the feast was for 6). The others were different dipping sauces to eat with pita bread. Everything was good but our favorites were Humus (hummus) and Alinazik. The Alinazik was creamy, smoky, with a mild taste eggplant in it. That was followed by the Haydari (yogurt with dill and mint). Wasn't quite sure what to think of Ezme which had walnuts and was tart and fruity. Definitely interesting and worth trying, but we wound up only eating about half of that one. The soups (6) - A choice between 2 - Mercimek (lentil soup) almost tasted like a split pea soup - (solid. Chicken soup tasted like cream of chicken with bigger pieces of chicken - ok. Salad was ok. It was like a house salad with a slight drizzle of creamy dressing. The dressing was purple (maybe from pomegranate). The main show was the entree. A massive mountain of saffron rice topped with various grilled meats and vegetables. My favorites were the chicken wings and the ground chicken kebabs. I didn't particularly care for the pearl onions since they were on the grill too long (burnt with acrid flavor). Dessert was 6 pieces of baklava. A pretty good version of it. Very sweet from chocolate sauce, not very crispy. The walls are covered in chicken related decor featuring chicken puns. If you like dad jokes, this will be a positive. I love this restaurant!! I typically come for lunch to get the $14.95 lunch special. I came today for lunch with a friend - she got the spicy chicken (spice level 2) and I got the Iskender. Both were delicious, portion sizes were huge. It comes with a salad and pasta. Restaurant has a cute outdoor patio for nicer days, and a clean interior. The staff are always so kind and willing to explain anything on the menu. They also have a small parking lot with several spots in the back if you don't want to deal with Hillsboro paid parking. I went here for a late-night dinner and ended up ordering the feast for two! It came with 2 soups, a huge platter of dips with cucumber/carrot and pita bread, a huge salad I couldn't finish, a platter with the most JUICIEST chicken and rice, then dessert! It was super filling and we will definitely go back again. Service was very good, our waiter checked up on us a few times while we were devouring our food! Wow, this is really a hidden gem in Nashville. Everything from the service, the cleanliness of the restaurant, and the food was a 10/10. I got the combo plate and everything was delicious. Such sweet staff. They welcomed me in and helped me through the menu. The food was flavorful, juicy, and delicious. There is street parking available on the street outside of the restaurant. There was ample inside and outside seating. I ordered the Chicken Shish Kabob. The meal came with salad and rice. The dressing was an interesting color but turned out being yummy. The portion size was great. I was able to take some home as left overs. There is a spicy sauce that they use within a different meal that I requested on the side. Pleasantly surprised by the low key, quiet restaurant front and the amazing price point for these dishes that are well made. I'm surprised I didn't even know this existed until we walked past it one day. They have only a few staff running the show but the service was quick and the food was quite good. I can hardly find any main course under 20 bucks that's not fast food these days. This place has amazing price for the quality of the food. This was some of the best food I've had in awhile. From the moment you pull up this restaurant is inviting. The decor is beautiful and clean. The staff answered every question we had and was prompt and friendly. Now the food...it was so good. I really didn't know what to expect with the flavor but it was good! Have had this spot bookmarked for awhile & found myself near the hospital later on a Friday night with perfect weather so the wife & I ate outside. The decor here is really nice both inside & out. And with such variety, familiarity with Turkish food is not a requirement to find a dish you like. They have something for everyone. So I opted for the large Spicy Chicken platter with a spice level of 3 (right in the middle). And it was VERY GOOD, pleasantly spicy without being overbearing. This surpasses my culinary experiences in Turkey! My grilled chicken thigh pieces were stunningly tender, swimming in the most delectable creamy, spicy sauce! With Nashville's large Middle Eastern population, consider this their answer to Nashville Hot Chicken! That was bordered by small tubes of high-quality pasta, probably ziti, impressively cooked to al dente perfection. The third component was a wonderful salad of lettuce, corn, olives, and what not. Okay so. I'm not sure what to call this place. It certainly isn't authentic, but the food IS good. I got the thyme chicken with pasta and salad. The salad dressing is a sort of pink whipped ranch which is fun, and the pasta is just your standard pasta with cheese sauce. The chicken was really tasty and savory. I enjoyed it all, but I'm just not sure what it was. Is it Mediterranean? Is it Greek? Is it Italian? I guess those all fall under the Mediterranean umbrella, but it's just not something I've seen before, and I'm not yet sure how to feel about it. read more

You have the same filing walking inside, warm and welcoming. Service was great. We got engaged in a very nice conversation with the owner. First time in today after reading glowing Yelp reviews and the restaurant did not disappoint. Excellent and friendly service. Everything we tried was affordable and fantastic. Our favorites were the sampler appetizer, chicken wings, thyme chicken and baklava dessert. Everything was cooked fresh and super flavorful. This is a delicious and affordable choice within walking distance of Vanderbilt Hospital.

You can't miss the alternating yellow and red stairs to the front entrance of a converted home into a restaurant. We were greeted promptly and seated right away by our friendly waiter. The prices were on par for being close to Vanderbilt. The food came out and was quickly demolished by me and hubby. He ordered the large plate of chicken curry and I ordered the large plate of the Chef's special. Mine had grilled chunks of white meat chicken in a red sauce that was slightly zippy, sitting on top of Alinazik (roasted eggplant and yogurt, very creamy and slightly tangy). There was a side of ziti type paste in a creamy sauce . And a nice salad with tomatoes, Italian parsley, spring mix lettuce and corn with a pink creamy dressing. The chicken curry had chunks of grilled white meat chicken with mushrooms in a curry sauce that is very different from Indian curry. Their curry had subtle spices and was not spicy. Overall, I thought the food had great flavor. The atmosphere was nice and comfortable. Stopped by for lunch on Sunday and enjoyed a lovely variety of dishes. We started off with the falafel which was perfectly crisp and fresh and well balanced with the cold yogurt dip it's served with. Next we enjoyed lentil soup and chicken soup, both good. The chicken soup has a distinct butter taste. For the entrees, we had the Chicken Beyti Kabob which is a unique dish with chicken kabobs wrapped in lavash bread and then covered in a really tasty tomato sauce. This is a must try! The place is super cute and has tons of chicken themed decoration everywhere which I thought was a nice touch. Our server, who was the owner, recommended the yogurt chicken and just WOW!
