I was so happy to find food like this in Nashville! The shawarma bowl was outstanding. Not to mention HUGE! It was packed with flavor and quality ingredients. The server prepared the food pretty fast. This was inside the food hall, so plenty of seating nearby.

Located within the Assembly Food Hall in downtown Nashville, TN. This is one of my go-to spots to escape the crowds. Always served with quick and polite service. They will graciously answer any questions to aid in your selection of food options. Various other restaurants to choose from with ample indoor seating. Warm and inviting space to enjoy a meal alone or with an old/new acquaintance. Occasionally there will be live music played on stage facing the dining area.

This was one of the few spots we tried at the Assembly Hall! It's a nice little clean store with friendly staff serving middle eastern food. We ordered their beef shawarma which came with fries. The order was ready quick and the food was served hot and fresh. The beef was tender and the sauce on top was flavorful. A good place to come to if you like Shawarmas!

Located in the food hall in downtown Nashville. It's a great place to stop for a quick lunch. Fast food, quick and cheap meals. The service was efficient, the food was ordinary. We ordered: 3*Wrap with beef and lamb: served with tortilla, lettuce, tomato, onion, feta cheese, tzatziki sauce, per normal, decent amount of meat. 3*Veggie bowl: included bulgur, lettuce, tomato, onion, red cabbage. Topped with hummus or baba ghanoush. Two pieces falafel and two pieces Dolmas: healthy lunch.

A quick bite to eat and the assembly hall is where to go. I ordered the lamb gyro. It was okay but meat was kind of dry. The presentation was great and the service was just as good. It's a little pricey but you are in downtown Nashville

This place is good, but I have definitely had a lot better. Staff was really great though and the venue was cool. My buddy had never had Shawarma before and we gave it a shot and he loved it so I guess there's a lot to say for that. so many great places to check out at the food hall, and the live music was awesome.

Yeah, I largely chose this place at the Assembly Food Hall because of the name of the stall as well as their naming choices for some of their dishes. But along with using fun names like "Istan-bowl," they had some genuinely tasty food. Quick service, and the prices were on par with the other vendors in the area. Great option for something slightly different than a lot of the other booths here.

After spending the day in Nashville, we decided to check out the Assembly Food Hall. We each got something we liked then sat together and enjoyed. I went to the Istanbul Shawarma and got their falafel pita. It was the best falafel I've had since traveling abroad! The young man who helped me was very friendly and helpful as I was making my choices. There was live music, and lots of tables and benches for people to sit at. I would definitely go again!! Highly recommend it, you won't be sorry!

Greek Salad with beef and lamb

This eatery is part of the Assembly Food Hall. I was looking for something healthy so I ordered the Greek salad with beef and lamb. The salad had a hefty serving of meat, but it was very dry and hard. There was almost no lettuce, a pitiful amount of shredded iceberg, with some black olives, tomatoes, red onion and cucumber. The staff was friendly and quick, but look elsewhere for a salad.

Tasha C.

I ordered the chicken shawarma bowl. It included chicken, basmati rice, salad and sauces with hummus. The chicken was a bit dry. I've had better at other restaurants- I was not a fan of the sauce or hummus.

This standout Lebanese restaurant was perfect for date night - modern "earth materials" interior (stone, concrete, and wood everywhere), dim/cool lighting, excellent food... and a constant CyberPunk/lo-fi music bringing good vibes! I'l rank what we ordered from best-to-least (tho it was all good): 1. Baklava w/ Orange Blossom Yogurt dessert - as a dip (perfect pairing!) 2. Aromatic Grilled Fish (crispy & meaty!) 3. "Not Not a Margarita" (strong & tangy!) 4. Hummus w/ Minced Sirloin (unusual but awesome pairing!) 5. Lamb Shank (fall-off-the-bone tender... could be a tad crispier?) 6. Epice Old Fashioned (nice, but the marg ROCKED) The service was all-around excellent, can tell they have good teamwork. We started with the spinach fatayer, arnabeet, and the hummus beyrouti. The hummus beyrouti (classic hummus topped with chopped sirloin) was good, but not a standout--I'd probably try something else before ordering it again. The spinach fatayer and arnabeet, though, were great. As two people who don't usually love beets, the arnabeet totally surprised us--you really don't taste much beet, and the cauliflower shines. The spinach fatayer was fluffy with a perfectly seasoned filling. Our mains came with a small side of the Epice salad. It was fine, but probably wouldn't order it on its own. I got the za'atar roasted chicken and it was cooked perfectly--super moist on the inside with deliciously crispy skin. The yogurt sauce it sits on was amazing; I just wish there was more of it. Jonathan ordered the lamb shank, and wow. It was fall-off-the-bone tender and such a hearty, comforting cold-weather dish. Food came out so quickly--we were in and out in about an hour, which was a huge plus. We were too full for dessert, but everything looked incredible and definitely gives us a reason to come back. Shoutout to Steven for great service and spot-on recommendations. Great vibes and amazing food all around.

This was one of our first stops. What a fun unassuming place. Walking in on a Saturday about 11 am there was a line in front, a line at the butcher and a line at the bakery. We oogled the aisles at the assortment of offerings and their very good prices. My son then started complaining about being hungry so we decided to return later. As I was leaving we said goodbye to the cashier. He asked if anything was wrong. I replied, no just have to feed my son. He nodded and we were off. 1/2 hour later we were back. This time no line. I asked about the lines. He stated it is normal but it does go fast. I can witness to that. I bought some bread and some sambusas (sp). 1 chicken, had a nice spice but the vegetable blew me away!!! So incredibly tasting I did not feel guilty it being a deep fried pie. We talked to the cashier about the bread. He asked if I went back to the bakery to see what was the freshest. I said I will be right back. I was and bought a few more packages. AMAZING and OMGosh, what a treat watching the bakers make the bread. Makes one wonder how far we have come to want to go back and see how much better authentic bread should and is still made. Should add, but I don't want to, they have a breakfast pizza with sausage in the am and it is limited. Oy...If you see me, get out of my way, I am not above cutting in line and paying you for it. Prices are very good, no dust, no questions on prices, everything clearly marked, (my pet peeve). How do you buy something not knowing the price? Chatted again with cashier about the store and our purchases. Really enjoyed our quick 2 trips in same day within 30 minutes of each other. Will be back for the amazing bread AND Vegetable Sambusas and sweet cashier. See pics of bread. HUGE bread - good for almost anything also made quick pizza for the kids who loved it. Soft yet had a nice chew to it a few days later. Stayed Fresh! I am in Carb heaven with the bakery and the cashier made the experience great too!

I can't speak to the authenticity of the Turkish cuisine here, but I can speak to the food quality. Starting off is a beautiful focaccia loaf with a mix of light spices and olive oil. It's odd to say bread is relaxing and refreshing but here it is. The hummus is quite the same, lightly spiced but bright and refreshing. The ezme is interesting. To me it resembles a Turkish version of chips and salsa, very tomato forward but lightly spiced. Only complaint of the meal for me was the lamb kabobs. I am notorious for over seasoning things, and that is simply how my palette is. The lamb was cooked perfectly, not dried out and moist, however I would've liked a little more seasoning. The Billur kabob has been a repeat favorite of mine over the years. The combination of sautéed eggplant, pashamal sauce and onions/peppers/mushrooms creates an explosion of varying textures and tastes. Everything sort of melds together perfectly once it's cooked on the stone oven and becomes a cohesive entree better than the sum of its parts. The servers are always very attentive, respectful and knowledgeable about the menu. When I first started coming here they always had fantastic recommendations. All in all this has been and continues to be a delicious meal no matter what I have ordered here.
