I really like this place. Yes, it is fast food. Yes, it is greasy. But it is also entertaining to go there, as you will normally have at least one person playing games with you or singing. They enjoy their jobs and it shows. Food is pretty standard greek/Mediterranean. The gyro, like most Nashville joints, is carved off the spit a bit too early and then browned on the grill. If you want some seriously good gyro, you need to visit a Greek community, like Tarpon Springs, and have meat that has been completely browned on the spit prior to carving. That is not Nashville, so I can't really count it against them. I do think Chicago Gyros does it better, but each place has its pluses and minuses. And this is in Bellevue proper. One of my fave dishes is the Mediterranean sampler, which gives you a choice of 3: Dolmathes/Dolmas (stuffed grape leaves), Hummus, Spanikopita (Spinach pie), Falafel and tabbouleh salad, which comes with rice, a pita and you can add meat. The style is counter service (isn't all Greek in Nashville?) and it feels a bit fat foody in nature (definitely not a date night place). But you get good portions and it is easy to get it to go. The lady, at the register, is such a mean person!! I order a chicken platter ($6.85 tax included) and asked for more salad instead of pita bread (didn't want the additional carbs) and the woman charge me an additional $1.15 for several pieces, like five, of lettuce. Not cool at all!! When I asked the woman about it, she placed her hand on her hip and told me they charge extra for salad. I'm so serious, the salad consist of iceberg lettuce (less than a dollar at most grocers) and she overcharged me!! To make matters worse, the food isn't good. The pita that they put the meat in is warm and good, but I felt the gyro meat itself was dry. They also only have small little containers with the cucumber sauce and is a little bland. My husband said the tabouli was good and I actually did enjoy the grape leaves. However, House of Gyros, off Stuart's Ferry, I think is far superior. The only thing Sam's has that House of Gyros doesn't are the numerous side items that can go inside the gyro. It's been 8 months since I was last here so I decided to give it another try again because there's not any gyro shops close by, I paid 12$ for a gyro plate with barely any salad and no fries or drink, my fav gyro shop at kuzina cafe charges me the same price for a meal that includes fries and a drink. To make matters worse the gyro is pre made kept in a heater not really freshly made on the grill. I rather make the drive to a better gyro shop from now on. read more

Customer service is not their strong point. Very home style. Owners are impatient with you and hardly speak. Their kid was sleep in one of the booths... I got the falafel, over cooked but still good. This is the closest gyro shop to us, so me and my girlfriend go there when it's our last option, everytime we go the owners try to put as little meat as possible, I have never experienced such things at other gyro places in town. Typically I ask for ranch on my plate and a ranch on the side for my fries and everywhere else it's free of charge but they charged me .75 for a half full cup of ranch that's not how you take care of your customers. 2/5 because I don't know any other gyro shops on Murfreesboro pike read more

We've all waited long enough for this Gyro place to open. Since it opened last week, my hubby and I have frequent it 4 times. I have the Gyro Beef Sandwich and Fries every time. Fresh and yummy. The fries are really good too. Especially when hot and seasoned with their seasoned salt. They're cool guys, I think they have 2 other locations in Nashville and Cool Springs. Fantastic Mediterranean food prepared by hand by the family that owns it. The place may not be the most elegant but you have never had a better gyro or home made hand cut fries. I have been a long time customer of this place. Generally the food is good, nothing to write home about, but consistently good. My last visit I noticed they have started charging a 3% card service fee. I understand there are costs to do business and in these times of inflation and such, businesses have to pass on certain costs to consumers. However, I don't like having to pay for the privilege of paying you for my food. So, I figured I would go back tonight and pay cash. Well when I got my total, something didn't seem right to me. I mean, yeah the prices have increased as I suspected they would with the gyro plate now being $9.99 vs the original $7.99. So I asked for a copy of my receipt so I could review later. Well sure enough, even paying cash, I was charged a 3% card service fee......... ummm not cool. There are costs to doing business and those costs are usually factored into your product. If they are not, then only charge the card service fee when a card is actually used. There are other places in the area I can get a gyro plate......... heck prices are starting to make it worth the drive to Tazikis where I will at least get a meal worth the extra transportation. read more

This place is really sad. The food is not bad and the service is very fast. But all the workers look so depressed.. it's really sad just sitting in there in silence with people who look so mopey. They microwave the pita bread too, so it's a bit rubbery. Other places cook it on a griddle, It's much better that way. I probably wouldn't recommend coming here just because it's so depressing. I don't know about you all but I like a smile when I walk in somewhere. Not only that but they just don't speak ! I went to pay and wasn't asked if I wanted a drink or anything else. And the gyro platter I got was mostly rice. I could barely find the salad and there wasn't much meat. The food did taste good. But I was still hungry (since I wasn't going to eat all that rice). This place makes a solid, delicious gyro. I would call them a little more "Americanized" than some other gyros I've had - they offer fillings like shredded cheddar cheese and ranch dressing instead of tzatziki sauce, but all of that is totally fine with me because it was ridiculously tasty. They also use pocket pitas rather than just having a flat pita folded in half taco-style, which helps make the eating experience a little less messy. And they really stuff the pocket full. I had the combo, which had the gyro, seasoned fries, and a large drink. Definitely recommend this place if you love gryos. read more

Only reason i went back another time was because it's less then a quarter mile from my house. The meat is dry with no flavor and veggies are a mess. Every time I ask for extra I have to ask 3 times. Don't think about asking for extra ranch they will just ignore you and hope you don't ask a third time. Every worker there is rude i will not be back this time I will try an Arby's gyro before going back and that's disgusting. Mgmt is non existent. read more

I went to this place before and didn't get the best service. Basically unfriendly and nonchalant. However this time was the worse. I walk in and the man cooking the food on the grill took forever to look back eventhough the door chimed. He called the other guy in and he asked me what I wanted. He cooked it fresh, which was good. However, I had 8 falafels but NO hummus was given even though it should have been. I asked for hummus he gives me a small sample and didn't attempt to put a lid on the container. Not impressed at all with this place. I got the chicken platter and the majority of it was rice. The cucumber sauce was watered down and was all liquid (gross!) .
