I absolutely enjoy trying new places that are different than what I'm accustomed to. Jerusalem, is one of those places. Tik Tok sent me, and I'm more than glad I had this experience. I'll be back. Service here was great. The gentleman was so willing to describe everything on the menu. He even recommended quite a few options for us to try. When you try new places, you have to order a little of everything to get an actual feel for the restaurant. My advice is to order a little bit of this and a little bit of that; you won't be displeased. Take in all of the culture. Great overall Here is what we had and loved them all: - Hummus: very creamy - Baba Ghanouj: very good, but wasn't very smoky (which is what I am used to). they bake the eggplant and purée it with tahini, garlic, and olive oil... it was delish. - Chicken Shawarma Plate: very good also, but there was a creamy topping that was a bit overwhelming.... maybe get it on the side next time. This dish came with rice and the rice is THE BOMB! don't pass on the rice.... sooooo good. I did a delivery service, so I do not know what the actual ambiance of restaurant is like, but I can attest for the food. I got the chicken shawarma plate! It came with a side salad and this white garlic sauce. Mix that sauce with the chicken and rice and you will not be able to put that plate down. Logistics: This place is tucked away at the very end of the plaza. There's plenty of parking around. When you enter, it is very spacious with lots of tables spaced out. The service was great with friendly smiles and frequent check ins throughout our time there. Food: I got the lamb kebab(?). It was seasoned perfectly. The only complaint is that the meat was not super juicy. It was slightly dry. I've had more tender and juicier places in the past. This place is a hidden gem! Tucked just off Nolensville Pike, it's hiding behind the big U-Haul trucks. I feel blessed that I live in south Nashville where it is a melting pot of some of the best international cuisine in town. Reebar is definitely in the top 3 middle eastern restaurants I have been to in town, and probably in the top 10 in my life. Service: absolutely wonderful! Immediately greeted with a smile and quick and thoughtful recommendations when you have questions. I ordered a bunch of vegan items and a sauce that isn't officially vegan. They made sure to ask if I was vegan so they didn't bring me something outside of my dietary restrictions. I'm not vegan (just love all vegan food) so it was fine... but the fact they asked and checked meant a lot. Food: everything on the menu looks phenomenal, so I'll definitely be back to try other items soon. We got the hummus for the table. Best hummus of my life. When I say smooth, I mean it. Topped with high quality olive oil and it just melted over the warm pita. I also got the tabouleh with falafel and tahini and garlic sauce. Falafel was light and not too heavily fried in oil. Fluffy. Tabouleh was vibrant and fresh. The perfect bite when you combine the two. Others at my table got the chicken shawarma and falafel wraps. Fries were also very well seasoned and the right amount of crispy while being airy in the middle. I really want to try the grape leaves next time! This was a delicious, healthy, authentic Greek dinner. The hummus is absolutely to die for. It's smooth, creamy, flavorful, and you just KNOW it's made by someone real Mediterranean people. I also tried their grape leaves and honestly, was a bit disappointed. The flavor of the filling wasn't enough to counteract the bitterness of the leaves themselves, which I feel is important for this dish. For my main, I got the mixed grill for 1, which came with a bed of rice, a chicken skewer, a lamb kofta skewer, marinated veggies, a tahini sauce, and tzatziki. The tahini sauce was like a cloud of richness (so good), and lamb kofta is always my favorite, and this was no exception. The chicken was good if only a bit dry. Where do I even begin, this place checks all the boxes. I've had some really good Mediterranean food in my life (it's my favorite kind of food) but this was by far the best I've ever had! We ordered the hummus to start and it came out with freshly baked pita that smelled and tasted amazing on its own. The hummus was out of this world!! We ordered 2 of the shish tawook chicken kebab plates and everything was so delicious, the chicken was tender and marinated to perfection and the rice was flavorful and fragrant. The portions were huge too. Just beware of the little green pepper it was super hot! -I should have known. Our server was very friendly and attentive, she jokingly warned us I wouldn't be able to finish my food, man was she right. On my next visit to Nashville I will definitely be coming back here. As a member of Yelp's Elite Squad, I felt it was my organizational duty to make the trek deep into South Nashville to assess Reebar. It's been gathering some smokin' hot ratings online throughout 2024. By its near-unanimous five-star ratings, I predicted a four-star outing at a minimum, even for my judgmental palate since this white guy has eaten the real deal on multiple vacations in the Middle East. So I came in prepared for greatness with the insistence that they had to earn that fifth star. Well, they sure did! South Nashville is overflowing with diverse culinary experiences inspired by everything from the heavy Hispanic and Asian populations to the significant East African and Middle Eastern influences. And the impeccable Palestinian cuisine at Reebar just adds to the lore of the South Side! Driving down Nolensville Road is essentially an eclectic road trip through varying cultures and cuisines, and Reebar is among the southernmost of these experiences. The best Ethiopian food in Nashville is only two miles north of the best Uzbeki food, which is a mile north of the best Egyptian food truck. And that spot is a mere 3,500 feet from Reebar across the street from superior Peruvian and Mexican spots. But it makes its mark among a plethora of options, and this is probably going to be the best Arabic meal you have in the state of Tennessee! For under $50, two people could each order the giant Lamb Shawarma Plate, a bottle of water, share the Jerusalem Appetizer Platter, and be sufficiently stuffed when it's all over. And that's precisely what we did. The moment you take a bite, you'll confirm that everything is made fresh daily! The shawarma is so flavorful like none other I've had in the states. The falafels are pretty tasty. The hummus is very good, ranking nearly as high as Anatolia (Turkish) and OSH (Uzbeki). But the grape leaves and baba ghanouj are exceptional. Even the rice is perfection! Since they were out of the pickle mix when we ordered, the appetizer replacement was this very pure white dip, perhaps a tahini sauce of some sort. It was out of this world! I tossed a bunch of it into my lamb shawarma for an extra special explosion of flavors! I learned that Reebar was opened by Jordanian immigrants, and they sure put the emphasis on quality. Our Egyptian server was certainly the nicest we've ever had at any restaurant. Reebar features a slick website, online ordering for takeout, and availability for catering and parties. Hidden gem. Spotless dining room with beautiful paintings and pictures. Owner is very warm, welcoming, and professional. Loved everything that we ate from the Jerusalem breakfast platter (my favorite was the labneh) to the eggplant wrap. Kids loved the mango slushi and the French fries. Arabic ice cream was homemade, and a nice way to end the meal, like kulfi but not too sweet. Food is affordable, healthy, and high quality. You feel full and good after eating here! Moving to the main course, I had the lamb kebab wrap. The lamb was crispy and flavorful, not overcooked or bland at all! The garlic sauce was a perfect compliment to the lamb. There's a few qualifiers that will catch a 5-star rating from me. The one that gets Reebar this rating is taking an ingredient I typically don't like and, not only making it palatable, but making it the best thing on the table. All that said: kibbdeh. That's what does it here. Texture, still liver, but more firm than other livers. But man, oh man, the flavor. A touch sweet of pomegranate; deep but not intense spice (not talking heat spice, but earthy intricateness). The kind of flavor that runs off into the olive oil at the bottom of the plate and requires it be sopped up with anything porous. The chicken and beef/lamb offering was also good. The tabbouleh, exceptional: lots of parsley, spare on the bulgur wheat (ideal), lemony. Great as either a compliment/condiment to the meats or by itself. The piece de resistance: the spicy garlic condiment. It's some sort of mayo amalgam that takes the chicken (and, well, anything) to a kind of savory that is seldom seen in western cuisine. Service is impeccable. It's family run, attentive. I narrowed down the menu to 3 or 4 options and let the waiter take care of the rest. Smartest move I made was letting them do the picking. If you're having a hard time, I recommend letting the food pics scroll by on some of the TVs they have in the dining room and seeing what temps the eye; the staff will be able to tell you what it is that's caught your eye. read more

The falafel is a bit too fried, too crunchy, i would ease back a min or 2 on that fryer, The knaffeh def disappointing, why is it orange? The Kabsseh, GOD DAMN! Taste fucking amazing, legit had an orgasm (a halal one for some of you weirdos reading this). Like legit amazing. The shawarma, i mean it was good, a bit above ok. I used to really love Haji Baba in Tempe, and this has a lot of that ambience except its Palestinian/Israeli (??), and not Lebanese, but they've got a lot of great looking dishes. The place is in immaculate condition. It is very well lit, it is very open, and is in pretty much immaculate condition. The service was superb. There was no wait, we were very quickly seated, they were very personable. The menu was very familiar, and it looked delicious. My oldest has an assignment to eat at a very cross-cultural place, and this was consistent with that, and we're glad we did it. Immediately after we sat down the managers here and I just asked a question about the paintings because there's beautiful paintings all around the dining room, and he's showing my daughter what they are and talking about them. That's a very cool kind of hospitality. The bathrooms have bidet's! Find that in a McDonald's; never gonna happen. Trippy. And now for the individual reviews.... From my sweetie: she got the mixed Shawarma plate, The meat is delicious, I love the garlic sauce, and I love the mint in the salad. From my oldest: tasty but filling. Next: The food is amazing, fries are amazing, the food is very rich. The lemonade slushy was the best. My younger two are three and five right now, so they are not really qualified to evaluate a cross-cultural dining experience. Second youngest: The food is good here (she tasted everything but did not eat her plate) she likes dunking her sister's meat kufta kabob something into garlic sauce. Youngest doesn't really have a review. If I was single I would have been delighted to take my sweetie on a date here. It's a great looking place. Why are there only 5 stars??? This place deserves more. Wonderful flavors and very fresh! All of the staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. This is my Syrian husband's favorite Middle Eastern restaurant in Nashville (and mine too)! The vibe is very chill and the place is one of our favorites for going out and feeling relaxed and welcome. We especially enjoy the mint lemonade slushy in the summer. It's crazy good. We enjoy all the appetizers and main dishes and we always order some extra things (hummous and kunefe) to take home to my mother-in-law. She loves it too! I sometimes bring kids here and the staff is so sweet to them. They make the kids feel so welcome and happy. It could not be a better place. Great service, clean and bright environment, was not too busy on a Friday evening. I got the mix shawarma plate, which came with rice topped with chicken and gyro and a side salad; a lot of food for one person. My partner got the mix shawarma wrap which came with fries; the fries were spectacular and as was the garlic sauce it came with. THE STAFF APPEARS TO HAVE ISSUES PROVIDING SERVICE TO PEOPLE OF COLOR/ BLACK PEOPLE. I waited in line several minutes (5/10) and watched as both a male and female server passed me multiple times without acknowledging my presence/greeting me. However, there were three more customers that entered the restaurant SEVERAL MINUTES AFTER me; two that were women of European descent, and a male that appeared to be of Middle Eastern descent, that were immediately greeted by the same two servers that passed me multiple times and asked how they could be of service to them. I continued to stand there until one of the cooks (from the service window) made an effort to ask me had I been assisted. It was only then that the same female server that had passed me multiple times came to assist me with my order. I'm not sure if this was a cultural issue or a racial issue, but I'm definitely sure that THIS WAS NOT ACCEPTABLE BEHAVIOR. While I understand that the restaurant was busy, my issue was not with the wait. My issue was the fact that I was treated as if I were completely invisible for several minutes while others that entered the restaurant AFTER ME that DIDN'T LOOK LIKE ME were IMMEDIATELY tended to regarding their visit. AMAZING!!! Yallah! Am from a migrant Iranian family. I had eaten authentic Levantine cuisine in West Iran, and this perfectly replicated my experience. It's authentic as it gets! The food was to die for, the fried nablusi cheese is a bit salty for my tastes, but it's just the nature of the dish. The platter was a great sampler for the strengths of the food. I also loved the limonana slush -- so refreshing! The service was great. They are genuinely so sweet and kind and are a textbook example of west Asian hospitality. While the restaurant is very clean w/ a bit of industrial decor inside, the ambiance is awesome. I love the beautiful murals outside, and the bidet in the bathroom!!!
