It was pretty modern compared to some of the other Marriott's I've stayed in. A lot of space in the room but I feel the restroom could have needed a bit more space. It has all the things you could want, fridge, space to make out your clothes away, security safe. They have a small section in the lobby in case you want sodas or snacks. If you are in Reno on a quick trip I'd def recommend this place. Next time I come I heard the sushi place across the street is pretty good. PS. Didn't give it a 5 star due to the thin walls. You can hear almost everything in the morning when people are starting to move around

Water bottle filler in the gym. Wall AC. Microwave and mini fridge. Lots of homeless in area and sleeping on the river. Lots of bugs. Views are nothing- trees you can barely see water. There is a nice side patio by the river but bugs are plentiful. Parking is only $15 but you have to go outside and in the elevator to the garage across the street. Coffee shop across the street opens at 7ish. Courtyard "Starbucks" opens at 6:30 but again the staff is :( Room had a broken light fixtures and all the soap holders in the shower was loose with screws out. Also, the room stank whenever I came back so maybe shared with a stinky neighbor? Would I stay here again by choice? No.

My room was on the twelfth floor and amazingly quiet but the hallway flooring would benefit from a deep cleaning. Although I didn't gamble, the hotel hosts a nice casino floor and several other amenities like a bowling alley, a large pool, an arcade, a sensory rooms, an escape room and a host of restaurants that range from Jamba Juice, coffee or burgers to a fancy steakhouse. I had dinner at Una Mas because they specialized in Mexican food. Overall the food and drinks were okay. The highlight of my stay was the Grand Sierra Spa! Although their steam room wasn't available, I was able to take advantage of their sauna, coed spa room and a massage. The ambiance was beautifully decorated and they offered complementary snacks and tea as well as one beverage with champagne or a mimosa as an option. I was going to give the hotel 3 stars but the spa pushed it to 4 stars!

I was extremely impressed with the space in this showroom and I thought the drink prices were very fair. We saw the Phil Collin's experience and it was so very good! I stayed at the Sands…read moremultiple times over the years and always loved the location, so I was excited to see what the updated property was like. Overall, I had a great stay! Parking was easy, check-in was simple, and my room was clean, spacious, and comfortable. The casino was also good to me! I pulled out $200 to play the slots and ended up walking away with over $1,200, so I definitely can't complain about that! My one con is the rewards program. I was disappointed to learn that spending at the resort doesn't earn tier credit the way it does at some other casino resorts. Being able to earn credit for hotel, dining, and other property spending is a great way for guests to move up tiers and gives you more incentive to keep your spending on property. Hopefully J Resort considers adding this or offering more multipliers in the future. Would I come back? Absolutely. The location, rooms, easy parking, and amenities make it worth another stay -- and the slots certainly didn't hurt! I'll definitely be back.

Add this casino to your do not visit list. Yesterday I went there to check out new dining options…read more I picked up my card reprint then walked over to Hannah's Table, grabbed a seat at the empty bar since I was a solo diner and wanted a quick lunch, was greeted by a young male who explained that I wouldn't get personalized service as they were short staffed and he had to pay attention to tables in his section as well. Then he said I'd have to proceed to one of the kiosks to print out a 25% off discount flyer to use at any of the dining establishment. (I dont know about you but I've been frequenting casinos for 35 years, and it was a surprise that rather than using the players card members had to find a kiosk on the floor to get their locals discount). Nonetheless I did and on my way the hostess suggested I check out the buffet instead. I took the escalators upstairs to find a 2 star buffet with food sitting under heat lamps ranging from 2in mini pizzas, a plethora of seafood (if that's your thing) and then dried up French food...all for the toll of $36.95 before the discount. So I opted again for something light at Hannah's Express and found myself interacting with an unprofessional employee who stated that I wasn't able to use my discount for a salad and pizza...hmm, I thought that was still a dining option, apparently not. I walked out of the facility and tossed the discount in the trash, and followed up this horrendous experience with a call to the Resort Manager who assured me that he would pass on my concerns to management. This is also on the heels of playing slots at their location and waiting for two hours before a cocktail waitress could come by to bring me a soda, red bull or adult beverage. My suggestion is that you enjoy their outdoor venue and events, relax in their plush rooms and skip dining altogether unless you want to splurge on steaks at J Paul's.

Upon arrival, our room in the north tower wasn't available. The clerk added a note stating that we could switch towers at no charge. I asked if the north tower was better than the sky tower and she replied: "Oh yeah, much better". We considered staying in the sky tower because it was fine but the coffee maker barely worked. While heading out for the next day's activities, we crossed paths with a bellhop and asked him where the carts were stored, since we couldn't find one the night before and had to haul our heavy luggage from the garage, through the casino and up to our room. The carts were not available for use. He gave us a number to call and said he would personally bring one to us. Awesome. That afternoon, we called him and there was no answer. We called the listed bellhop office and they said they'd be right up. We waited 1 and 1/2 hours, but no one came, so we lugged our stuff to the other tower. Guess what: the room was identical to the previous one. The coffee maker barely worked in the new room, plus the AC unit was very noisy and the shower drain clogged after a minute of water. I think Circus Circus has been leaning on the Midway arcade to attract visitors but have let the rooms run down without renovation and it will cost them a lot of money in the long run. They'd better listen to the clientele before they go out of business.

We got to choose between staying on the 3rd floor (spa/gym floor) or a higher floor, and we chose for the higher floor which had a decent view. The casino seemed older than others we been to, but it seemed the hotel portion was updated. There were several elevators we could use, and it was nice that it was a clear glass elevator so you could see out. We did not hang out at the casino, but it also seems a bit older. You can definitely smell the smoke in here. We only tried the Purple Parrot for dining and it was solid. There seemed to be a seafood restaurant and it smelled quite fishy in that area. They have an arcade on the second floor for kids. We ended up finding several machines that were broken so we got some free play out of it, which was fun. The arcade seems to be open 24/7 but redeeming rewards may be during limited hours. The spa was great! The gym area was also pretty good as well, many machines to use. They also have yoga mats to use, but my only critique is there is not much space to lay your yoga mat in without feeling like you're in someone's way. However, the gym was not very busy at all in the morning time when I went. In the gym, they had a water refill station, towels, and fruit offered. Remember to bring your hotel card because they will ask that it's scanned at the entrance. Service was friendly at the front desk at check in and check out. We also requested some more makeup wipes from the house staff and they provided extra with no questions asked. Overall, it was a solid experience staying at Atlantis!

My cousins picked this location because they are members of a group who used this chain of hotels and casinos often. I personally am not attracted to gambling , so I don't frequent this type of hotel. As I said the rooms were nice, but this hotel caters to the gambling crowd. My cousins got their rooms on comp, because they gamble here so often and that is great, but if you are not a heavy gambler and you are not getting a free room I cannot recommend the Atlantis.
