Troubleshooting questions were condesending and the information provided was not communicated to the technician. The workman came on time and was able to fix the problem in five min., after an initial misdiagnosis. My main issue is pricing. All of the plumbers I've dealt with, including this one, seem to make up their pricing on the spot. I could never get a straight answer on what the charges would be and was overcharged. The overcharge was not extreme, but I will not use this company in the future because of pricing and customer service reasons. read more

My services from this remodeling company was terrible. They DID NOT communicate well at all. I put an order on March 10 for my 72" barn style shower door to come in for my shower as they say "pebble shower remodel" which they didn't remodel first of all. I wasnt gonna write a review until I saw that they've posted my shower as if they remodel the bathroom. Bad service I got from them and now using someone else job as theirs. The only thing they did was install the sliding shower door. Terrible company to work with!!! Anyways I ordered my barn style sliding door with them because they said it will be here and installed by the 1st of April. Long story short I did not receive my order and install till April 17th. This was ridiculous as frustrating. The only reason they did get a 1 star was because the install person Michael was super helpful and answered my calls after the fact that they order the wrong rod. We used Pykles recently when our bathtub/shower faucet assembly went kaput. Since we have an old house, the plumbing needed to be reconfigured. We got two opinions - Pykles and Bill Howe - both said essentially the same thing about what needed to be done. We went with Pykles because they did everything, including replacing the tiles that had to be ripped out -- whereas Bill Howe doesn't re-do the tiling when it has to be taken out. Craig Pykles, the owner, was very professional and responsive. The price seemed like "top dollar," but the service, professionalism, and workmanship were great. Pykles is probably not the best choice for minor plumbing problems -- but for anything complicated or that requires "full service," I'd recommend them without hesitation. read more

Went in for keys, and was thinking about a shower replacement - they did an estimate that day (Damien)! They have a great loan program (1 year same as cash) that made it easy and do-able for me. They were very helpful in the showroom with explaining the different types of material (I chose corastone). The work was immaculate - very clean after each day in the demo and construction phase (Herman). Helpful hints: be sure to be very specific on the little things like recessed shampoo niches (size, configuation, how many, where), shower door (glass, hinge placement, type of handle or bar). I'm very happy with the shower - but the door handle was not what I expected. Mr. Pykles immediately offered to replace at cost. It's nice to know that when something is not right, they are there to fix it! read more

Meh. I've experienced much better. I bought the Noritz, EZTR40 tankless water heater and Im having Pykles Remodeling AKA Pykles Plumbing install the tank. Its called the Noritz, E_Z_40 for a reason. The Plumbing Tech Scott made it seem like he was doing rocket science. I felt as if Scott was making this to be a long drawn out project to extend his max payout. I felt as if Scott was new to the job/ industry and was lost at times. Its sad to say but, customers don't come first anymore, it now seems to be about fattening the companies/techs wallets. Many companies/ techs understand this is a one time job and because of this, they want to take you for a ride and extend they max payout. Granted no job is simple, but it just felt as if Scott was making this a drawn out job. I could go into the details but that doesn't matter, all that matters is that Im another Pykles customer that is unhappy. If you want details just read what the rest of the one stars say, Im in the same boat. After I voiced my concern with Toby (owners son) at PYLES Plumbing and Remodeling my concerns were just brushed off and nothing was done to remedy the overpriced problem. I actually chose Pykles Via Yelp because of their three stars and written reviews but after having direct contact with PYKLES, and plumbing tech Scott, I would not recommend them to any of my family members or friends. Its too bad because word of mouth is gold these days. I guess the days of decent companies are over. I rated them a single star because they rating should come down quicker, realistically they should be rated at a two star. Please save yourself some money and keep your sanity. No one should feel like they are being taken advantage of. Don't be bamboozled by all the 4 or even 5 stars people give them. Too many people tend to give out stars like were in grade school. In my opinion and from what I can ready on Yelp, the 4 and 5 stars don't have much to say or boast about Pykles. Finally words please pass on Pykles for your sanity and pocket book. After two previous attempts by other professionals, Pykles correctly diagnosed, and expertly repaired a mysterious leak from our shower enclosure. Peter discovered the leak from a poorly installed shower rail. He removed and cleaned the rail, re-sealed it, and then repaired the area of water damage. He worked quickly and cleanly replacing drywall.. The final charge was below original estimate AND I consider it a very fair charge. I will use Pykles for any future plumbing or remodel needs. Hired this company to do three plumbing jobs. 1-replace water filter under sink 2-replace guts of toilet tank 3-fix minor leak in sprinkler system The baffoon who came screwed up all three jobs and then tried to overcharge me by ALOT. This is a small locally owned plumbing supply store. It has higher prices than the big stores and a more limited selection, but it is a quick easy stop for supplies. The staff will do whatever they can to help you. It feels good to support a local business instead of a corporate behemoth. I believe that they also do service calls and kitchen remodels. read more

After desperately looking for proper piping coupling and elbows at Home Depot, Lowe's, and Dixieline, went onto Yelp and found Pykles. Small place, but had every size I needed for creating a hose line from the pipes in my garage. Very nice and intelligent worker, patience was key with him too. Wish I had read the reviews before using this company. I called because they were local. I needed a new water pressure valve and a quote for a water heater. I should have done more homework before they came; I was overcharged for the valve and paid for an hour and a half of service that took 5 minutes. Also after comparing the quote for the water heater and installation to other companies, I am happy that I did go with them. I would NEVER recommend this company to anyone. read more

OK. I went in. After having no luck at Home Depot and sears parts center. I google'd plumbing in lamesa on my cheezy straight talk phone. I got the directions to this place. I cant believe i never noticed this place before, its right next to little cezars. Anyway, i went in there. It was quiet. There was a guy named Steve at the counter. I told him the issue i had with needing a faucet adapter for my portable dishwasher. I ran him down what i had been through recently at other stores and he showed me the adapters he had. I ended up not finding what i was looking for because apparently the part isn't really made (goofy sized female to female adapter). I DID however buy the quick disconnect from this place at ~$4.40. The price at home depot was A DOLLAR MORE. Home depot cost more? I didn't think that i would see that. If you are calling around town regarding adapters and sink faucet stuff i strongly suggest you give these guys a call. Their showroom is nice. The parts behind the counter, and for that matter the whole store, looked neatly organized. I paid with debit/credit. No problem. read more

I had my entire home remodeled by Pykles and they did an outstanding job. They were responsive to all my questions and concerns throughout the remodel. If something was not done to my satisfaction, it was fixed almost immediately. The foreman was always on time, stayed the entire day, almost never missed a day (and when he could not be there, I was informed in advance), cleaned up thoroughly each day and was totally trustworthy. The project manager, Damien, was incredible in making sure everything was done to the highest standards. Pykles did an incredible job with the kitchen portion of the remodel - it could easily be in a magazine, that's how beautiful it turned out. The bathrooms are great, as well. He helped educate me on the different options, styles, and color selections to match the paint colors, tiles, and counter top that I preferred. Interesting that the reviews have such a range. That might be because they appear to use rotating subs that they screen, but there still might be an element of the luck of the draw. They have established regulars, but probably have to phase in new people as workload fluctuates. I was satisfied after my dealings with them. They are right in my neighborhood; literally a short walk from my house. I walked in the door and didn't comparison shop, so can't comment on their cost versus others. It is a small, local, family-owned business with a fairly tightly knit core group. By the time they were done taking apart two bathrooms (including structure & slab) and putting them back together (due to extensive water damage) we all knew each other pretty well. It seemed important to them that I was happy with the work. In my case, I was pleased with the final result. I intend to use the company for other improvements (in phases, of course) on my 50+ yr old house in the future. read more
