Absolutely NOT. I will NEVER come here again, nor will I tell anyone I know to go there. We were looking for a new tailor close to our home and came in here on March 22nd. Today, the 19th of April, we FINALLY picked up our items. This woman is a rude, condescending person and I wonder how she's stayed in business. She required PREPAYMENT for alterations. How does anyone do this? not even a deposit, but full amount. CASH. We paid $ 110 cash for five men's designer shirts to be tailored. She initially said he had to try all of them on to get the right pins placed. This makes sense, however, when more people entered the store she said, nah it's ok and he only tried on three. When I first returned to get the shirts, on the next Tuesday, (after the day she said they would be available), she said they weren't ready and they would be the next week. When I went in again, she said oh no you just dropped them that Tuesday and looked at the receipt and retracted as she realized she was wrong. I said I did not have time to keep stopping in to chase our PRE-PAID items. She said it was PROM season and she was swamped. I don't care what season it is, and there were no prom dresses hanging around two weeks prior when we initially came in to the store. I asked her for my items back and a full refund. She said no no no, that they would be ready the next day or so, but I walked out of the store without saying anything else. She SHOULD have phoned when they were ready and never did. We travel extensively and had to use and buy other items. When I finally picked them up a month later, she either acted or was actually on the phone when I pulled up to the glass storefront. She tried keeping BOTH receipts and I said I needed one. She said No I didn't. I said, yes I did and she reluctantly gave my the PREPAID claim slip and I left. ABSOLUTELY DO NOT USE THIS STORE. HORRIBLE. I have yet to see ( and am fearful ) of the type of work she does and will NOT return for ANYTHING. LESSON LEARNED. read more

This establishment has been in its current location for about 20 years. Prior to that she was located near Paradise Valley Mall. We lived in both areas. Anytime we needed alterations or tailoring we would go there. We have been very satisfied with every visit and every alteration we've entrusted to her. There probably have been times where demand exceeded abilities to provide timely services. So sometimes you just need to have patience for the quality work you're going to see here. I never write a bad review but after leaving with money being thrown in my face after asking for a refund I wanted to share my experience. To make a long story short I went in just asking for a simple button to be sewn back on a romper. I went back to pick up the item and she decided to sew the romper shut instead of place the button like I asked and paid her to do. When I asked her to fix it she was immediately defensive and rude. She proceeded to yell and say she"knows better" and the button will just fall off. I explained with her sewing the romper shut I could not physically even put it back on since it does not have a zipper. She finally un-did what she sewn and this left behind little holes in the front of the silk item that were very visible. She then claimed that she never did that. I then asked for a refund because she had ruined my clothing item and still not placed the button. She got so frantic and frazzled then threw the money in my face. read more

Worst alterations I ever got. Very sloppy work. Way over priced and lady had horrible attitude. Asked her why am I paying before the work is done bc what if she messed up my 500 dollar dress and she said "you eat it". Very rude and worst work I ever had done. Terrible - not only late, but the product was so bad I had to take it to another tailor to fix. She hemmed a pair of suit pants like you would jeans - and then burnt the label right off when she ironed them. Why can't we give Zero stars!!!? This rude, disrespectful, evil, nasty attitude woman destroyed my leather vest!!! Also "took in" a dickies shop shirt that was way to big and made it lopsided!!! I thought I was on an episode of punked when I saw what she did to my leather. I had her stitch on some lettering in an arc shape and she made it look like a two year old did the work, it was so off and not even centered!!! I was in such shock I stood there for 10 minutes in awe staring at my vest before I flipped out. I told her she needs to fix this some how and she wouldn't. I asked her to replace the leather $250 vest and she threw me out of her shop and the other lady that was waiting for her dress which had nothing to do with me. The owner got in her car and sped off, tore rubber out if there with a family Resturant next door. This lunatic woman said in her heavy accent get out of here I'll call the police. I said someone needs to with the crap work you do! I said call the police, because I'm not leaving until you pay me for a new vest! Her stitching with big holes ruined my leather. Horrible!!!!!!!!!! This lady is the rudest person I have EVER met!!! She lost one of my two pairs pants I had in for alterations. I had my yellow receipt to pick them up and ended up spending the majority of an hour trying to help her look for them at her shop and I was trying to be very gracious that she wasn't deserving of. Most of the clothing there was unlabeled and there were no customer names attached. The shop is very unorganized and messy. - Then, she tried telling me to my face that I had already pick up my pants, which was why I was there in the first place. I had my yellow copy of my receipt in hand, showing I hadn't picked them up, but she proceeded to take it from me, crumpled it up and threw it in a corner on her desk. I asked for it back and realized she did this because she didn't want me to have any recourse... I have already paid her $50 cash up front and wanted something to show for my payment, but she didn't want to give it to me. It has been such an upsetting experience and she called me a liar to my face, when I had proof that I hadn't picked them up. *Update..This morning I had received a call v/message from her explaining that I picked up the wrong pair of pants and asked me to return them... Well, I am wearing them today and they ARE MY pants! I wont step foot in there as she will probably rip my pants right off me!!!! WOW, the lady who owns this place is PSYCHO! She did not hem my bridesmaid dress properly (after charging a fortune to do the work to begin with). I took it back when she wasn't working and a different lady who helped me was like no worries, if you are not happy with the work we will re-do it. The owner called me the day I was supposed to pick it up and said she wasn't fixing it because she had it done it right the first time and proceeded to get in an argument over it. I went immediately to pick it up and she refused to hand it over. I literally had to RIP it out of her hands. UNPROFESSIONAL, RUDE, AND TERRIBLE AT THEIR WORK. Hello, I have to say that my experience with PV Tailoring has been a very pleasant one! I have received top notch treatment and am very pleased with the work and attention to detail on my garments. Ali is an absolute doll and extremely helpful. She always manages to squeeze me in and get my items done on time! I would recommend PV Tailoring to all! She charges way toooo much! I was referred by a friend so I tried it out. When I went in for my fitting the lady was rude as she worked on placing the pins at the bottom of my dress to get it hemmed. A customer walked in to pick up her alteration and the owner and customer were arguing about how it turned out Apparently "the material wouldn't give" according to the seamstress. So the customer who was an oldee lady was very upset about her experience, she told her if she wasn't able to fix what she had brought to her, then why did she accept the material as something she could fix if she knew it couldn't be done? so I don't know what happened with that whole thing... But the owner was like it's already cut there's nothing I can do now so just pay me. Which was rude! So I was like I was referred I might as well give it a shot maybe that's just a once in a blue moon thing so then I give her my dress and she charges me $32 to only take off less than 4 inches at the bottom of my dress I held back from complaining because she was already in a heated argument I was like I'm not going to say anything I'll just wait until I come back and I'll do my research on the price So I did and it was a rip off! I went to pick up my dress and told the lady it was too much and my reasons for why. I said my friend who referred me here says she's never been charged this way and she's been coming to you for years. She said and I quote, "if you're friend thinks it's too much she should've done it herself!" I mean how rude is that! how do you expect to keep growing as a business? And Still made me pay. The owner, Alieh is rude and forgetful. I dropped off 6 items and she messed up two out of 6 - a dress hem and a bag. When we discussed price, she kept changing her prices. I did not agree with $22 to fix a strap because my whole garment was only $10. She insulted me when I changed my mind. Earlier in the year, three times I stopped in and her doors were locked, and I had to wait 30 minutes for her to return during her own business hours. I gave her the benefit of the doubt and still returned with these 6 garments. She also did a horrible job on an alteration that I had done with one of my students. I did not think she could mess up with a hem but she did. I am very forgiving, but she was so insulting to me and work was below satisfactory. I will never use PV Tailoring again. read more

Do not use this business period. The lady is extremely condescending and rude. The hem they adjusted on my daughter's dress was 2-2.5 inches higher in the front than the back. When my daughter pointed this out, they said they would see what they could do. Upon picking it up for her, my wife and I were treated rudely and with disdain. When I called out the lady about how she was treating us she stood up and pointed her finger at me and said I had no right. I told her as the customer I deserve to be treated nicely and she was very abrupt and rude. And to cap it all off, the hem was still way higher in the back than the front. STAY AWAY!! This is the biggest disaster of a business. The woman who runs PV Tailoring is nuts! I took two simple pair of slacks in to have them hemmed. She told me they would be available 3 days later. When I stopped in to pick up the items, she began to argue and then started SCREAMING (yes, screaming) that I had come a week early (even though my pick up tag stated the exact pick up date!) So, I went away and came back the next week. She is so disorganized that she didn't know if they were ready. She came agitated again and claimed that the items were not ready. I could see the slacks on her rack and pointed them out. The woman is rude and hot headed. She does not keep the hours posted on her door (goes away for lunch, shows up late, leaves early...) She charges 150% what other tailors do. She is disorganized - she doesn't prioritize and can't find your clothes. SHE CHARGES CASH AND DOES NOT PROVIDE RECEIPTS which begs the question: "Is she paying taxes?" read more

This is the WORSTtailor I have ever used. I took an expensive formal pants in to have them hemmed. When I picked them up and looked at the hem I could not believe my eyes. The hem was hacked off, very uneven, with threads hanging off everywhere. When I tried them on at home the hem came completely out of one side. The black pants were filthy like they had been tossed on the ground when done. No wonder they make you pay up front and in cash. I will never walk through their doors again. I only wish I had read the Yelp reviews before I used this tailor. read more

In response, she started lecturing me and claimed that she did this type of job everyday and all tailored pants looked like this. She then asked me if I have ever had any pants tailored before, and why I brought my pants to her shop rather than had them tailored when I bought them! I was speechless.... If the is a DO NOT GO THERE rating, that would be how I will rate this business. Regrettably, I didn't read the reviews before I go to this tailor. I went there for convenient sick. I brought in two brand new Polo Ralph Lauren's suit pants to be hemmed. I handed her over the pants and the hangers they came with. When I went to pick up the pants, 1) The workmanship is not good. I know how to sew but it had been awhile. I thought since these are formal pant suit, I want them to be hemmed nicely, so I choose to go to professional tailor rather than do it myself. Her work doesn't show the skill of a professional tailor, its not good! 2) She handled me the pants in 1 'disposable' dry cleaning hanger. I then asked I want the hangers these pants came with. She started to argue with me that I never brought the pants with hangers and 90% of the time she asked her customer to take the hangers back. Then, too bad, I am in the 10% but she accused me for asking for the hangers that I never brought in. The arguments continue, she continue to argue that "you can see my shop, there are no such hangers!", and she continue insisted that I didn't bring them in. I knew the argument will go no where, while walking out, I said I will never come back to this business. She answered and said "Good, you are not a good customer!"... Then that afternoon, I got a call from her, she found the hangers, it was sitting by her sewing machine. Here gets even better, she accused me for didn't see the hangers while I was there asking for it. My husband went to pick up the hangers, she had the same argument with him and told him it was my fault that I didn't see the hangers! Literally the worst place in the world. She LOST the item I brought in! I've been in once before, and the owner was very rude and completely unprofessional. The button came off 2 items of my clothing, so I tried out PV Tailoring once again since it is so close to my house. When I went to pick up the 2 items of clothing, she only had 1 of them! She tried to tell me I already picked up the other one, which I obviously had not and continued to try and convince me I had. Why would she not have grouped both items together?! She obviously pays no attention to her customers, and does not correctly label items with claim tickets. She told me to come back in a week to give her time to find the dress, and when I came back she had no idea who I was and it was still not found. When I asked about being reimbursed for the dress she gave away to someone else/lost, she told me I would need a receipt or tag! How would I provide that on an item I've had for over 6 months?! I've taken several things to these adorable ladies - some things include a cocktail dress that needed a brand new zipper, several pairs of jeans (she'll put the original jean hem on!), and blouses that need taken in. I even took in my wedding dress to have it hemmed up. They're lovely, friendly, and have a quick turn around. The best thing, if you need it the best day - TELL THEM! Have been a customer of PV Tailor for 2 years. Ali was the ONLY one (first used the tailor at the tailor at the Ralph Lauren store in Phoenix) who was able to make a leather blazer fit me properly. I have since brought many items to her, and she has always done an excellent job. Have also found her to be pleasant and personable. I highly recommend her. read more

Agree with all the other negative reviews about this place. WAY overpriced, rude ownership, unprofessional, bad quality work. When I tried on a lace dress I brought in to be altered, she roughly ripped stitches out of the lace, I couldn't believe how callous she was with such a delicate fabric. She "fixed" a skirt I brought in with such horrific quality, I brought it back for her to redo, especially since it was so expensive. The owner gave me a guilt trip saying she would have charged me way more if she understood what I actually wanted done. I have been back since 4 times to pick up this particular piece and every time I walk in, she has no idea who I am and what I am there for. When I tell her I am back to pick up my skirt, she surprisingly finds it on her "to get to pile" and hasn't touched it telling me she has been too busy because of prom. We got into a yelling match in her store and I was told it would be another week before the skirt is done. Still haven't received it and from the initial job she did on it, it doesn't look like I will ever be able to wear it again. She is horrible. Listen to these reviews people.
