I take full ownership for not being more vocal at the initial fitting when she completed the first alterations. That part is on me. After trying it on again at home, I texted Helena to let her know it was still slightly too tight. I was polite, apologetic, and expressed appreciation for her work. I also explicitly asked how much I owed her for the additional alterations -- I did not request that they be done free of charge. She responded kindly, said she just wanted me to be happy, and told me not to worry about paying more. I thanked her and reiterated my gratitude. When I brought the jumpsuit back in, the tone shifted. I was scolded and warned that if this "happens again," I would be charged double. For clarity: I never asked for complimentary alterations. I paid $150 for the original work and simply wanted the garment to fit properly so I could actually wear it in the future. Fast forward to today when I picked it up. I asked, as standard practice, if I should try it on before leaving. Her response: "Why would you do that? I didn't charge you. You don't need to try it on." The implication that I was being unreasonable for wanting to confirm the fit -- especially after the previous issue -- was unnecessary and unprofessional. I wasn't trying to "get away with" anything. I was trying to ensure the service I paid for was completed properly. While I appreciate that she ultimately adjusted the jumpsuit, the attitude and reprimanding were unwarranted. Professionalism matters just as much as craftsmanship.

She charged over $40 per Jean to get hemmed- just shortened not taken in or anything. $85 to hem 2 pairs of jeans is outrageous- almost costs as much as the pants! We had a 2 week turn around time if anyone was wondering. She might be able to do it quicker but I'm sure that would also come with an additional cost...

Absolutely NOT. I will NEVER come here again, nor will I tell anyone I know to go there…read more We were looking for a new tailor close to our home and came in here on March 22nd. Today, the 19th of April, we FINALLY picked up our items. This woman is a rude, condescending person and I wonder how she's stayed in business. She required PREPAYMENT for alterations. How does anyone do this? not even a deposit, but full amount. CASH. We paid $ 110 cash for five men's designer shirts to be tailored. She initially said he had to try all of them on to get the right pins placed. This makes sense, however, when more people entered the store she said, nah it's ok and he only tried on three. When I first returned to get the shirts, on the next Tuesday, (after the day she said they would be available), she said they weren't ready and they would be the next week. When I went in again, she said oh no you just dropped them that Tuesday and looked at the receipt and retracted as she realized she was wrong. I said I did not have time to keep stopping in to chase our PRE-PAID items. She said it was PROM season and she was swamped. I don't care what season it is, and there were no prom dresses hanging around two weeks prior when we initially came in to the store. I asked her for my items back and a full refund. She said no no no, that they would be ready the next day or so, but I walked out of the store without saying anything else. She SHOULD have phoned when they were ready and never did. We travel extensively and had to use and buy other items. When I finally picked them up a month later, she either acted or was actually on the phone when I pulled up to the glass storefront. She tried keeping BOTH receipts and I said I needed one. She said No I didn't. I said, yes I did and she reluctantly gave my the PREPAID claim slip and I left. ABSOLUTELY DO NOT USE THIS STORE. HORRIBLE. I have yet to see ( and am fearful ) of the type of work she does and will NOT return for ANYTHING. LESSON LEARNED.

I live about an hour away and she told me my dress would be ready the day before I went out of state for my friend's wedding. I picked my dress up around 4pm right before she closed and tried it on and all was good. Then, when I got home there was a huge hole in the dress seem right under my cleavage area. I was extremely irritated as I just drove an hour to pick it up and an hour home to have a huge hole. I texted her about this and she told me to come back so she can restitch it because that is where she opened the seem. I couldn't drive an hour back the other way again since my flight left at 3am the next day and I am pregnant and have a toddler I was taking to my mother's house and still had a lot to get done The fact that my dress was ready the evening before I left and the entire situation with there being a huge hole was just insane. She did offer to drive to my house and fix it but I do not feel comfortable with a stranger coming to my home knowing I was going out of town the following day. Overall I ended up paying over $120 to sew it myself and didn't even get offered some of my money back.
