The shop was clean and quiet, you can tell most of their clientele was older, which is fine I like the relaxed setting when getting my nails done, if you're into a younger crowd and loud music this is not the place for you. After coming to a few different local nail salons...I have finally decided PV Nails was my fave! Everyone so far is friendly and no one ever seems to pressure anybody from spending more. My pedicure always turns out perfect. So far I have had Kacie and Lisa and they're both great. They take their time and I love how they include a nice foot/leg massage. The price was almost $10 cheaper than another local salon too. Ample parking too. Definitely give it a try. read more

Everyone here was so kind and accommodating. They are not rude like most other nail salons. They have such a warm and welcoming vibe and seemed to genuinely appreciate my business and were very kind as to chatting with me and giving GREAT massages included in the mani-pedi. I am just so happy to have found this place because every other place I've been to (which have been MUCH more expensive I may add) have like half-assed the whole thing. That's not the case here. Did not like the pedicure it felt like it was rushed. The lady doing my nails didn't wear gloves. I feel like she didn't clean my nails properly. My toenails were painted messy. Overall did not like my experience. The staff were nice though but I would not recommend it here. Didn't really feel like I was given the time. This was the worst pedicure experience ever. My friend and I waited for an hour, then he spent 10 minutes on my pedicure. No lotion massage, no scrub, no buffing my nails. What a joke. All the other customers here have been in their chairs a long time getting properly taken care of. After they were done with 3 of them, the nail techs disappeared and left us waiting longer. No menu for pricing or options available to you. Horrible service. By the way, the 10 minutes cost us $18.50/ each. Will not be back. read more

NUMBER OF VISITS: 5 WOULD I COME BACK: YES I normally don't get my nails done because my nails grow fast. Years ago I also got a bad case of fungus/athletes foot from a nail salon at the Block of Orange (well now it's called The Outlets at Orange). It was a place you would think would have clean supplies. It took about 2-3 years before it was completely gone and I suffered with itching, infections, doctors appts etc. Needless to say I was traumatized. Because of that, I'm picky about places I get my nails done at if/when I do. I don't care much for those spa chairs because you never know how well they clean those things! Anyway here at PV Nails. They don't have the spa chairs. I don't care much for those anyway because the vibrations and rolling pins in those chairs only make me nauseous. They have comfy chairs though that you can sit in while they do your pedicures in the old school foot spas. What I like about it is that they place clear plastic bags over it so you know you are not putting your feet in a germ infested spa. They have kits that are marked clean and dirty so it appears that they use freshly cleaned clippers, etc on you. I've seen some places that have their tools sterilized and wrapped in plastic so you see them open new ones in front of you...but this place isn't one of those. Still, I've come to this place several times in the last 6 months and no problems so that's a good sign. The manicure is good too. They have a $39.99 special for gel nails and pedicure so that's what I get. They have a wide variety of colors for both normal polish and gel. In case you didn't know, they have special polish for gel. And gel is much better (i think) than a normal manicure because the color stays. For me it stays for 3-4 weeks. The only reason why I'll get it done again is because my nails grow out so fast. And the reason why I like it better than acrylic is because acrylics look so fake and they are thick. I also hate how they drill down your nail bed to get rid of natural oils so the acryic stays. So gel is good if you just want a manicure and want the polish to last. The other thing great about this place is that they have a few people who actually speak great English! Sometimes it's frustrating when you have a question and you are unsure if they understood you right. Especially when they answer your question with a yes/no when your question was how long is the wait going to be. They're usually pretty friendly too. So anyway, yeah. This isn't the best place I've been too. But considering the price, the fact that I haven't had any infections, the customer service and that it's in Pedro, it's worth a visit. Oh excuse me...it's on the North side of Western, so officially I think it's considered Ranch Palos Verdes...but whatever...it's still Pedro. It's within the 5 mile radius we are all limited to driving to...so beggers can't be choosers. NOTES: -closed on Sundays -no Spa Chairs (but who cares!) -They speak great Engrish! (yeah...I'm aware I misspelled it) -$39.99 for gel manicure and pedicure is a great deal! read more

I came in at 5:35/5:40 for pedi & medi, guy tells me to sit on pedi chair then leaves.. doesn't turn water on or anything. Then about 6:05 water finally gets turned on. 6:10/6:15 starts working on my hands - says sorry for wait. Okay.. rushing with paining my nails and toes.. finish she says I can go ahead and take your card - I give it to her and she goes "is there anything you'd like the add" Really? Gave this place a break and tried it again , they are still rude! I called and asked Bob the prices before hand cuz I know nail salons always over charge.Quick back story I had been going to PV Nails since I was 18 and every time I had an appointment they made me wait while they took other customers. My mom was their client too but she got treated better. I always tipped well & stayed consistent with them. Until one day they made me wait almost 2 hours past my appointment and then the owner bob said the manicurist I booked my appointment with was now not available. They took advantage of the fact that was a regular customer. So I stopped going for almost 4 years and today I wanted Nadine to do my manicure because she really is a great nail artist & manicurist but she was so cold, no conversation or good customer service. And yet again I asked Bob the price of my services a head of time and they still charged me $10.00 over (luckily I had the cash on me) And did even greet me nicely or act nice! Such a disappointment! I guess you only get treated nice if you're a regular customer! But I didn't even get that special treatment all those years ago despite tipping well & being a friendly customer.
