I went in to get a manicure and a full set but the man did such a horrible job on the manicure, he cut and pinched a piece of my skin (2 separate fingers) to the point that I didn't move forward with the full set because all the chemicals would of gotten inside the cut. I come here all the time well let out I USE to. But I went in today and the service was just horrible. The older man giving me a pedicure didn't want to add a tip on my nail. I like my toe nails square tip and I like they way the look with square tip and he's was like no you don't need it ok but I like it. Wait time was over an hour , when I was told it would only be 20min Although the customer service was good, & they are pretty friendly I was not satisfied. So the lady with super short hair did my nails. She seemed very nice and polite in the beginning, she told me they take their last client at 5 and I got there at 510 asking if she was sure I could still be seen. She assured me YES but asked if I could wait. She was in the middle of a nail session with another lady, waited another 30 mins before being seen. My 6yo daughter had her nails painted by her first,(30 mins before closing time) then I had my acrylic set done. I asked for medium long to long. The whole process though I realized she was rushing through my set thinking I wouldn't notice hanging acrylic on the underside of my nail, or missing black paint on every edge from careless attention to detail. I asked her to add more acrylic to the top of one of my nails because there was none added there and that is when her attitude became apparent. It went downhill from there fast. Right after I said something about 'please' sand more on another nail(which was LUMPY) she conveniently cut me. Then she had the audacity to say come earlier next time because she didn't know I would be like "change this, please change that, I dont like this" and I replied that I HAD to say something because it is clearly rushed and looks rushed. She ofcourse is one of those Asians that talk shit in her language very rude. Gaslighting to make up for her poor quality work. I don't think I've ever been bitten by flies before but my legs is so itchy...I'm just freaked out like W T F. I'm not even gon wait for these bad boys to dry. First of all, ladies that work there do not speak English! Second, i asked not to buff my nails, the woman ignored my request. I had mani/pedi. Skin on my toes was covered with polish, she applied color the way that it touched the cuticle and i had to ask her 4 times to clean it. My manicure looked like i never actually had it! The lady who did my gel manicure barely filed my nails so they looked uneven and painted about 5 coats of polish which is unnecessary, but makes since that it all started to chip a few days later. I was in San Pedro and had some time to kill, so I found this place on Yelp and decided to come here. I called before I went over and made an appointment for that day. They called a few minutes before my appointment to let me know they were ready for me to come in, so I did not have to wait at all. The salon itself was very clean and fresh and pretty, I love the wall murals. They offer a basic pedicure for around $15, though I got a little bit fancier one for around $25. Anyway, I really enjoyed my stay and was very relaxed and happy when I left. So I picked a different nail color and told the lady I'd wait so she could start her other Customer that had been sitting for 30mins (along with others) I had time to wait. Monique was super sweet and did a great job. Salon is called BEST NAILS now. I did have to wait awhile AND I had am appointment. I was not in a time schedule so it was ok this time. It the Sunday before Christmas so that could have been the trouble. My pedicure was great and left my arthritic feet feeling revived. I am going to see how long my nails last-a definite when getting gel-and then I will decide whether to book again. I came in wanting my nails done for my wedding. The manager has a horrible attitude when i changed my mind ince about the color. She hadnt even gotten to prepping first ., when they did my "pedicure" , she removed my nail polish and went straigh to painting the new color. No filing no buffing , no soaking in the foot bath , i dont know why you even have a foot bath ., she tried upping the charge of course because i wanted french tip instead of color when we had already agreed on the price. When they did my manicure in gel . They did not know how to shape the nails so all the ends are the same length . The ends are jagged .Also she immediately starts speaking in chhinese fast in a vexed attitude .whenever you try to ask them for anything, like its such a bother and they are doing such a huge favor. When i payed her 35$ , i noticed she left the top half of my fingernail with no polish , a corner of the top she missed , and then it had two dent marks in the nail along the middle finger, already dreid on gel, the managwr goes hydterical when i showed her she screams that im too picky and nobody will see it it doesnt matter , ,,, im getting married and my nails look like some girl from middle school did them . I could have done a better job myself if i had known this i wouldnt have gone . If I give give zero stars I would. I booked for gel removal and a manicure. The woman removing my gels did such a poor job. She kept trying to scrape it off instead of letting the polish soak adequately. She continuously filed the top of my nails, even reached to use the electric filer drill until I asked her not to. The process was so long I didn't even have time for a manicure. When I said I'd be late for work, they changed the price and had me pay more. When I explained I shouldn't be charged more because there's still polish on my nails, the owner didn't even acknowledge it. I left with polish still on my nails. I can't speak for their paint job, but I'm pretty disappointed in what I did experience. read more

So I came to "best nails" Friday July 26th last minute to get my nails done for my trip.. I had a guy do my nails.. I didnt get his name but it was a horrible experience.. he began to start my full set.. strike one he used a few nail tips that were smaller then my actual nails.. he started to put the acrylic on & it was a mess.. getting it all over my cuticles super thick in some places thin is some places & even none in some areas.. I dont know how many times I had to tell him to fill in areas.. strike two I asked for coffin shaped nails now when someone asks for a certain shape, shape is EVERYTHING.. this guy had no clue what he was doing so I politely asked him if I can file them myself.. he looked at me & said I'm not done yet.. I told him I understand but I'd just feel better if i can do it myself. He handed me the file & never came back.. so I had to have a women do my nails.. when she started doing them I realized there was a spot of acrylic missing.. strike three she blamed me as to why there was a whole Ass chunk of acrylic missing soo then I ididnt argue I kind of said what ever in my head.. she started to file the nail that the man put the wrong size tip on & she was filling my real nail down & it was burning so bad so I told her your filing my real nail too much & it's burning after this time of blaming me that it was my fault as to why it burned was the moment I finally went off on her & told her no.. it's burning because there's no damn acrylic there to file & im not stupid because I'm a licensed nail tech & I know exactly what your doing! & then her whole attitude changed with me because I know every steps in a nail salon.. I was forced to get white gel polish because the color I wanted needed a base of white to be as vibrant as I wanted it & when she applied the white you could literally see every flaw on my nails... now it's August 1st & 4 nails broke while I was on vacation so I had to cut them off & thankfully I had a nail file to fix them & my toe nail polish is chipped on every toe nail.. typically toe polish is supposed to last quite a while but in this case it didn't.. i have a video of them but i don't have an option to post.. over all I'm never going back! read more
