I am so disappointed. I have been once before and the service was great. However, I came in today and the service was terrible. It took an hour and a half for a fill, and when I brought it to my technician's attention that one of my nails is going a direction that it shouldn't, she argued and said that it was the original technician who put the nail on crooked (it didn't look that way when I came in). She tried to fix it but it looks completely different than the others and is not filed well. There are three nails on my right hand that look just WRONG. When I brought it to the manager's attention as I was leaving, the response was "well she was really patient." I said "wait, what? What required her to be patient? This was a simple fill, same color, same shape. I didn't ask for anything or act in a way that required her to be patient..." but he refused to acknowledge the issue and I was forced to walk out. I will have to go elsewhere to have it fixed and it won't be returning. I wish I could recommend this place, but unfortunately it is a waste of time and money. I came because of all the good reviews and requested a Gel X set with Amy. I am going on vacation so I wanted to do aura nails, they have plenty of the same style on their Instagram. She was trying but it was not coming out at all like my inspiration photo and she was clearly mad that I didn't like the way it was coming out but I am not going to pay an extra $30 for a design that I did not like. I showed her the inspiration set from the beginning and told her I wanted short Gel X, I wish she would have told me from the beginning she couldn't do it. Instead she gave me attitude for the rest of the set and didn't even clean the airbrush off my skin. The customer service was disappointing. My sister and I have both now had negative experiences at this salon, which is why I feel this is worth mentioning. Most recently, I was quoted around $138 before my appointment and ended up being charged $203 after the services were completed. My nails actually came out cute and the design was done well, so I want to give credit where it's due. The issue isn't the finished designed, it's the way customers are treated and how the pricing is handled. I was also nicked badly enough to bleed, the removal process was rough, and I felt uncomfortable with the attitude during the appointment. Then I was directly asked how I was going to tip. I want to be clear that I always tip and have absolutely no problem tipping well. What bothered me was feeling pressured about it. A tip should be the customer's choice and should reflect their experience; it shouldn't feel expected or demanded. My other sister also had an experience here where she felt pressured about tipping, along with having a rough removal process. Having multiple family members experience similar issues makes this feel less like a one-time misunderstanding. I have been to other nail salons where I've never experienced this kind of treatment. If a service is going to cost significantly more than the price originally quoted, that needs to be communicated before the service is completed so the customer has the opportunity to agree to the additional charges. Being presented with a $203 total after being quoted $138 ($90 quote manicure+ $48 pedicure) puts the customer in an unfair position. I don't expect perfect service everywhere, but I do expect transparency, professionalism, and respectful treatment, especially at this price point. The quality of my nail design was good, but unfortunately, the overall customer service experience was not. Based on multiple experiences, I would not recommend this salon. Future Edit After Company Response: The misinformation and lack of transparency occurred in the Yelp text thread when I first booked my appointment. So, I simply want to say that I suggest for future bookings you disclose clearly to customers that the nail set themselves will cost $70 and then customers are required to pay and additional sum for specific designs. Because when I ask "How much will it cost for one of your team members to complete something similar to these inspo pics?" and then you say "The quote is around 85-90", that does not lead the customer to understand in any way that the price of the nails and the price of the design are separate. I would suggest that you make that way more clear in order to help future customers. read more

I received gel x with simple nail art; the service was prompt and affordable ($105 before tax and tip). My technician was skilled and matched my inspiration picture pretty well. My main complaint is that during the service, my technician was a little aggressive with clipping/filing, and cut into my finger when trying to remove a hangnail. It bled for a while, and the wound still hurts days later. I'm sure this isn't a reflection of the technician's skill, but I'm not sure I'd come back either. read more

First time getting my nails done here. The salon was nice, and the girl who did my nails was friendly. In my opinion, it was a bit overpriced, which may be because it's in a nicer area. I got a short, single-color cat-eye Gel-X set for $80, and the design I wanted would have been an additional $60. It wasn't a very intricate design,just a few simple lines,so the extra charge surprised me. I've gotten similar Gel-X sets with simple designs elsewhere for about the same total price, so I personally didn't feel the pricing was worth it. read more

It was nice to have the tv playing a video about Paris to distract us. I was very impressed by how gentle and skilled the woman who took care of my mom's feet was. The good: They had amazing color options! They welcomed walk-ins. They had beautiful gel colors that included chrome colors and ombré options I've never seen before. I think this was my favorite color pedicure/manicure I've ever received! I got a magenta chrome color. These fancy colors are an additional $10-15. The gel pedicure was $48 but it was an additional cost for the upgraded color option I chose. The bad: It would've been nice if the top edge of the nail (for thicker nails) were colored more as well. The chrome part on top is fading and revealing just the black undercoat not too long after its application (4-5 days after). The interesting: They don't have discounts for cash payments like a lot of other nail salons have. read more

I went to Slay Nails and Spa for a gel manicure, and it was by far the worst nail experience I've ever had. The technician was extremely aggressive with the electric file. She over-filed my natural nails so much that they were left paper-thin--so thin they were literally bending and breaking. The drill was used so harshly that it actually burned my finger. What makes this even worse is that I naturally have strong, thick nails, and they completely ruined them. I've never had damage like this in my life, especially from something as routine as a gel manicure. Now my nails are weak, painful, and will take months to grow out and recover. This was completely unacceptable. I would not recommend this salon to anyone who cares about the health of their natural nails. read more

I went in for a manicure the day before my wedding last week as a walk-in. They got me in right away. They were all very professional, friendly and accommodating. I will give them kudos for that. Atmosphere and ambience is giving "big city." They did not soak my hands or deal with my cuticles etc before prepping my nails and adding polish and for the price I paid, I wasn't impressed with the polish job. Because they didn't handle my cuticles first, the outgrowth will show faster and it won't last long looking very nice. Lastly, Be prepared to tip with cash or Venmo. read more

I was looking for a new nail place close to my job and came across this nail salon so decided to give it a try! Jessica did a good job with my nails and delivered what I asked for . My only two complaints would be the staff was all talking and laughing amongst themselves loudly majority of the time , I respect that but I do feel nail salons should remember that people are trying to relax and it might be a bit rude to do that especially in a customer service environment. Also, I'm not the type ever to complain about pricing but $140 for a medium /short gel x set with a star on each finger is beyond me unfortunately this is the priciest nail salon I've been to especially for what I got.
