How could anyone not have a good time at this place?! As a first timer I really didn't know what to expect. I was surprised to see the place so well organized on a Sunday afternoon. Oscar, our host in the Ruby section was very friendly and helpful with explaining the games. The only thing I wish is that the areas for the holes weren't divided into quarter the room, half the room would have been a better price value. Keegan the bartender served up two rounds of perfectly crafted cocktails with a smile. Ultimate margaritas with top shelf tequila and top notch apple martinis were perf to compliment the food. The Thai chicken, lamb skewers and Brussels came out so quickly and were even more delightful to taste. All of the menu items were priced well, no complaints at all in that department. The server Wendy was a peach! She was very quick to make sure all of our requests were met and everything we ate we enjoyed. 3.5 - Went with a group of 4 on Saturday at 2pm and it was PACKED. Make sure to lock in a reservation, if you walk in I'm not sure if it's even possible to just play on the fly. There are 4 different courses and we were on the Amber. Our course seemed like the least creative/most boring course compared to the other 3. It was still a great time however I would prefer to go on any course other than that. We also got drinks and food after and the mushroom potstickers were delicious. I heard about this place from some friends and decided to give it a try. From other reviews I expected it to be packed and it was! For first timers, I would have expected some more explanation from the host staff. The two women basically pointed to the kiosk and said check in over there. We had booked our time online and it turns out they pointed us to the incorrect step. As we weren't sure what course we were on we encountered another employee. He looked up our reservation and pointed out that we were on the ruby course. We walked over to ruby and still were slightly confused. We finally got our balls and clubs. We were stuck behind a family with 3 small kids. Later on, I did see an employee at the kiosk explaining how the game worked to other groups. I wish we had gotten the explanation too. I would probably return as there are 3 other courses to try. We didn't try any food or drinks on our visit. I would recommend to do that prior to your tee time. read more

I'm surprised how much I enjoy Puttshack, but it's not a perfect establishment. Pros: -Fun, creative, inventive putt putt. The fact that it's point based rather than stroke based means they can do some creative ways to tabulate points, such as super putts, obstacles, and interactive elements. -There are different courses that have different holes. There are repeats on both sides but I haven't played every hole on both sides so I don't know if both sides are completely the same or only partially the same. Four courses in total. -you can get a reservation for both mini golf and a table, which they offer a full (but small menu). - Nice ambiance. Very retro-futuristic vibe. - coat check. Cons: - lines for holes. If there's a big group ahead of you or you're a small group, prepare to wait for each hole. It also feels cramped. - prices are like 10% too pricey for the food you purchase. It's good food but it's a bit too much if you ask me. - I've had some glitches both times I used their electronic booking system. Still usable but has created some annoyances. - gets packed on weekends so it's hard to find a spot day of on a weekend. Try to plan a day in advanced. Was in town visiting family and my cousin recommended this place. Didn't really know what to expect since mini golf isn't my first choice of activity but it ended up being really fun! We thought it wouldn't be busy if we came on a Monday afternoon but there were quite a few groups there. We later realized that 2 out of the 4 courses were booked for a private party so that was probably why. With that being said, booking online is recommended and super easy to do. There was a deal for 50% off your second round too! You can check your coat once you enter (also recommended because it can get warm while playing) but there are coat racks at each hole at each course. The only annoying thing is that you have to move them after every hole so just check your coat! After coat check, you can head upstairs to check in for your game on one of the kiosks. You can grab a drink at the bar and take it with you as you play. The screens hanging up top will show you which course you're assigned to and then you'll check in with the staff member stationed there. You'll grab a putter (make sure to get the length best suited for your height!) and the staff member will hand each person playing in your group a ball (not everyone has to play). I'm not sure what the maximum is but we had 5 people in our group. There are 9 holes in each course and each hole is unique and different. Some have a "hazard" area where you lose points and "super tubes" for extra points and almost guaranteed hole-in-one's. The technology is really cool and keeps score for you as well. Each person's ball has a sensor built into it so the computer knows who's playing and how many shots each person takes before they make it in hole. Some people say it's a quick game but it took our group a good 30 minutes and we didn't feel like we were rushed by the group behind us or that the game dragged on. Overall, it was a really good experience and if they ever open one in LA I'll definitely be checking it out! read more

I had a BLAST!! What a fun date night. The security guard was an awesome dude along with the bar tenders, extremely attentive. We got two shot of tequila and two draft beers of modelos and an energy drink for $45 bucks so prices are decent. The overall experience was so fun and everyone in general were a fun crowd to be around! Nothing but laughs and a good times. Everyone was patient and respectful which is a major plus! Lots of seating options and chilling areas and it's huge inside so there are plenty of spaces for people to go and have a good time with their own crowd if wanted. Creative business, fun times. The DJ was on speed or crack cocaine drumming away on the DJ tables, and you gotta entertain somehow right!!! The miniature golf is very creative itself. A moving Tetris setup, beer pong setup, and much much more. This place is an alcoholic's wet dream literally. Come dream, play miniature golf, then pass out and wake up in a puddle of your piss. Awesome courses to play from. Two on both sides up the stairs and both are different from each other. Bar is in the middle so the many drinks to chose from their menu or whatever you'd like. Food wise you need to reserve a table online beforehand. Game play also needs to be reserved online beforehand. Games I believe are now $12 per person when they were cheaper before. 4/5 stars because lots of waiting time when waiting for your turn even if your game starts at a specific time. We had a party of 10 people so they asked for us to put a credit card on file which I did. I paid the bill when we were done, $460,and we proceeded to do the putting. This was Friday 9/20. Then yesterday 9/23 (3 days later) I was charged again. I spoke with the office manager whom wouldn't tell me her name and she said there was nothing she could do and I would have to take it up with my bank. Putt Shack is the place to be! They have created such a fun atmosphere for a night out with friends. They have 4 different mini golf courses that you can play. These are not your average mini golf games however. Everything is digital. The games are fun and interactive and the score is tracked on a screen above each hole. Not only is the mini golf incredible, they also have a huge fully stocked bar in the middle of all the courses. When you are finished playing mini golf, head on over to their restaurant for some great food. I was impressed with the quality of food at Putt Shack. The chicken breast sandwich was so flavorful as well as the flatbreads. We also tried a few of their appetizers which were all delicious! Have you ever been to a filthy truck stop bathroom along the highway in the middle of the night? That experience will seem luxurious in comparison to the conditions of Puttshack's toilets. Sticky floors, standing water, overflowing urinals, stalls that haven't been wiped down in quite some time. If this is your scene, you're in for a real treat and look no further. Downsides: Uncomfortably loud music playing; not good for holding conversation. $14 per person for a short 9 hole course. The putting holes themselves are short. It's over before you know it. The registration for play was a pain. Their touch screen kiosk asks for too much info; must register with individual phone number and email for each player. You get assigned to 1 half of the putt putt courses (9 out of 18 holes total). I wanted to play on the side with the beer pong theme, but could not choose. Cramped. Too little space between each hole. I had to constantly watch where I am standing so as not to bump other players. Overall: was a neat place to check out; would be much more worth it if the cost allowed for all 18 holes to be played. read more

After hearing about this place from a TikTok video, I knew this was something my boyfriend and I had to try! This was also the first real date night out we've had in a long time due to the pandemic. Puttshack is like a bar/nightclub/mini golf course all rolled into one. It's very dark inside with bright lighting and a cool atmosphere. This would be a hard place to go if you saw it and said "Hey! Let's check that out!". You kind of have to reserve in advance and pay for your games and then register your team prior to arrival. Doing all of this makes things much easier when you get there. Mini golf is very fun! There's something special with the balls you use...like the balls have technology in them to keep track of your score. You can't cheat or give your friends a break or second try since the ball does all the work for you. Each course is 9 holes and their all themed around video games or carnival games or some sort of interactive element. Food and drinks are good here but pricey. Most drinks are $12-16 and food items are $15-25-ish. It would be very easy to rack up one hell of a bar tab here...just like at any bar or nightclub. We tried the Wild Berry Mule and the Cold Brew Espresso Martinis. Puttshack Poutine fries and the pepperoni flatbread pizza was good. Bar service was very slow and we were kicked out of a table which was very unpleasant. We figured the whole seating area was wide open and seat yourself...apparently not and that wasn't made obvious until a very snotty server came and claimed the table we were at was reserved (despite not have a placard on the table indicating such). This was the only downside of the experience but it was fixed quickly. Bartenders here are very overworked and they only seem to have 4 of them which isn't enough for a busy Saturday night. My boyfriend and I went to play the game of mini golf we had reservations for. We played on the amber course (didn't get to choose, idk if each course is the same), and didn't realize how short each hole was. The entire area that the 9 holes were in was very small, no space to maneuver around. Especially on a weekend, and many people come in big groups. I won a "free game" prize from the wheel, only to learn I can't use it until next time which I thought is kind of ridiculous.
