Rebecca, the waitress was incredible! She made sure all of our orders were correct, got 10 kids meals to perfection, all of our food was HOT and fresh! She even made some recommendations and they were fantastic!! I requested to speak to the manager, Gianna, and she was super appreciative of the positive feedback I was able to provide! What a fun time we had at Puttshack! I took my daughter and her friend here in the afternoon and they had a blast! I did not play, but for the girls who are 10, it was $9 per game and the second game was half off before 4pm! Not a bad deal! The staff was extremely helpful with signing in and explaining how everything works. We did not eat, but the menu looks great and they have a full bar! At best, a tourist trap. The service is really poor and the game is frustrating and inconsistent. Upon arrival, our group was directed to the self service kiosks by a greeter. After 10 minutes of us attempting to check ourselves in, we had to get the greeter who after numerous attempts themselves, simply pulled out a tablet and checked us in. That wasted 15 minutes. It was over $70 for 4 cocktails, which were served in heavy glassware that is not easily carried through the gold game. When it was time to play, the rules and signage are very unclear. On numerous holes our balls did not work. The attendant told us they couldn't explain why the system wasn't working and disappeared. Multiple times we had to replay a hole. read more

We had a fun time at Puttshack! It's a new business, so they have some kinks to work out, but Istill something I think worth trying if you're in the area. Puttshack is a trendy bar, restaurant, and INDOOR mini golf spot -- which is something I never even knew existed until Puttshack! I came with a group of friends for a 9pm reservation on a Friday. When you walk in, there is a complimentary coat check, which is genius for the Chicago winter, since no one will want to be lugging their coats through a game of putt putt. The bar/dining area is REALLY nice and well done, it looks like the type of place I would come to even if I wasn't playing mini golf. Check in was easy enough on some touch screens they have set up and were sent to our mini golf 'course'. They have four different putt putt courses, two on each side and the restaurant planted in the middle. Each person has a ball assigned to them and the whole thing is tracked on tv's based on number of swings, kind of like bowling! Our course (not sure if they are all the same or different) was really fun and interactive. There are about 10 different holes within the game including a prize wheel, ring of fire, and mrs. pacman styled holes. Another fun one was a true or false hole, and for each planner a different trivia question was asked on the screen, and you had to go through the true or false pathway to get there! One of the biggest downsides was how crowded it was. It's probably because it's new and was BUSY, but it's a little hard to enjoy yourself while other groups are behind you waiting for you to finish. The holes are really close together, so everything felt a little cramped. One of the courses were down and we went on a Friday night, so hopefully that was a rare, extra busy evening. The other downside was that a server took our orders when we started playing, but we didn't end up receiving them until around the 8th hole, so that was kind of a bummer because part of the fun is being able to sip on your drink while playing! Ugh, I'm really sad to write this review. I had read the others, and sadly, the lesser reviews are on point. They were so crowded, overbooking today was inexcusable. It made the experience bad, especially for first timers. It was hard to enjoy the potentially cool environment because of the overbooking. Also, my booking was botched. I rescheduled it online (the online only booking is a joke, btw), and that is clearly not a thing the online booking system has worked out. Thank goodness for the one worker who helped me sort this out. He was the only person who cared enough to try. There were 20 people working, and most of them were upper level staff and totally disinterested in the chaos. Shame on them. This one guy worker is the only reason for two stars. It was not cool to see a bunch of 30+ year olds talking to each other and not walking around problem solving. There was also one female worker, probably manager level, who was redeeming at the bar. Otherwise, I sat at the bar for 15 minutes, with nothing I front of me while the bartenders talked to so many other customers who were just walking up. Finally, I was able to order the falafel I wanted. It was fine. The slaw needs more of the onions, and the falafel needs less inner mush and more outer crunch. Ugh, I want to like this place and this idea, but I don't think this experience will make it worth the drive again. Don't go on a weekend or a time when kids are out of school, the only time I think would be worth going would be in a weekday during a work week. read more

First time on a Saturday night and it was really fun. Very lively, overcrowded at the bars at times, but such a fair alternative to a club/lounge. The music was modern Hip Hop/R&B , Today's Hits. The DJ had all the vibes, great mixer. The drinks were expensive, but so good. I tried the Hennessy Island and Spiced Pineapple Mezcal Margarita - both tasty and strong. My bartender made my drinks very generously, loved that, and had plenty of recommendations. The bathrooms were clean and mirror-plenty. Our game was fun, overall, but the ball machines were quite dysfunctional. It wasn't too annoying but the lines were long and they had to keep resetting it. If the ball systems were running smoother, it would have been perfect. Overall, I loved it. I would return again but probably for an earlier game. This place is super fun! There are 9 holes per course , I recommend booking at least two games . Pro tip! You can go to the holes in any order so you don't need to stand in long lines for the busy ones (minus the last hole you must do that one last because it collects your ball) . There's a great selection of cocktails and mocktails at the bar . I will say I was left with a lot of questions about the process and courses after the "check in process" but was able to figure it out along the way . It was 6 of us in my party and we ordered an array of menu items. The Peach Tea on Peachtree drink was soooo good. Pretty sure I had 5 of them! Lol Staff was extremely helpful when I needed to add 3 additional people to my putt reservation and when our tee time came up we were able to play right away. FINALLY finally went! Puttshack is where everyone wants to be. I went for the first time on Father's Day and at first I couldn't believe how baby/kid friendly it was but duh father day. The bar wrapped around like a carousel, we didn't eat sadly but the food looked great. Cocktail list looked good too. Pretty cool place! I highly recommend booking in advance (up to 14 days), no one answers the phone, and you will be waiting if you expect to just walk in. Church in we seamless we were waiting at least I thought I was supposed too but because I booked ahead with walked right up to our bay. They do allow grace period, parking is a beast. Finally, Puttshack! This place is super fun and super cute! My boyfriend and I decided to pop in on the newest craze in the Chicagoland area. Puttshack is a miniature golf arena restaurant and bar. Each arena has 9 holes and the ball/tracker guide you through the game. Cute ideas for each course like one was a true and false game. Guess the correct answer and hit the ball down the designated late for a hole in one. Great for family day or date night. I'm sorry to say we did not order food but we definitely had COCKTAILS!!! Experience: Like majority of people who visit here, I discovered this place through Tik Tok. I was able to make reservations on Tuesday evening with no difficulties. If you are trying to go on a weekend, I expect this place to be really busy, just the fact it was pretty crowded on a Tuesday night. Parking: Since this is technically part of Oakbrook mall, there is plenty of free parking. However, depending when you go such as during the evening or all weekends, it may be pretty crowded. Worth: I think it definitely worth the visit at least once! Great courses. Great drinks. The staff we interested with were very friendly and professional. This place was big fun. The technology is pretty cool and each hole had its own entertainment factor. One hole you could win a prize, another you could attempt to beer. A heads up this review is only for the dining experience since the lines for golf were extremely long! Me and five other friends decided to check this place out after seeing a few advertisements for it. We tried to book a reservation beforehand but they were completely booked out, so we thought to just go during an off hour just to get a few drinks and see if we can get in to putt putt. When we arrived we were seated right away, the hostess was very friendly! We looked over at the putt putt areas and they were PACKED with people, I'm honestly surprised they did not cut off the lines at a certain point. So we decided again just to eat and get drinks. For an appetizer we tried the Chicago tailpipes which were really good, but really hot in temperature so just be aware lol! I got the O.G. Burger which was supposed to be cooked medium but it was definitely on the more rare - medium-rare side, which isn't a huge deal to me but might be for someone else! The burger itself was really good, I did end up take off the lettuce though as it was pretty wilted. My partner got the Atlanta Hot Chicken Sandwich which was really tasty! Their fries are really good as well. Everyone else at the table seemed to enjoy their food too so that's good! Our server was amazing, even though she seemed really busy she made sure to accommodate us in anyway she could! Overall, I liked this place. The music and the vibe were nice. *PLEASE READ FOR HONEST FEEDBACK** As a little background, before I start this review, I opted to have a combined birthday party for my two children and invited several guests and their children. Our party was over 25 people which in turn can tell you, that I had no small bill. I was referred to give this place to try to do something different that would be fun and accommodating for all ages. Referrals and word of mouth go a long way between my friends and family. As a positive start, the guests had fun despite how busy it was, the ambience was very eccentric and different, and the food met our picky standards. But the service. Wow, let me tell you, the service... Outside of our waiter, Frank, and the gentleman who cleaned up our table in between, the service was horrendous. Now I'm not talking about the standard service, I'm talking about direct treatment from the so-called managers. There were several instances in which we were treated terribly, condescendingly, and without respect for no given reason. I work with the general public, and I understand how difficult it can be, however it was no way to be treated without reason in such a way that would ensure me to never give another opportunity to this establishment, nor to ever recommend it to anyone in my network. Imagine, standing somewhere to ask an employee something and being ridiculed by a manager about how expensive an unattended golf ball that was a few feet away from me is. A golf ball that did not belong to me nor was in my possession. Imagine taking a photo and being yelled at by the female manager "that picture better not end up on social media!" Imagine being told by the manager that you are "walk in" business several times, when you clearly made an online booking over a week in advance, considering the size of the party. Imagine being yelled at by a manager for confronting the tone in front of all of your guests. Imagine your waiter telling you I agree with you, and that the managers should be more prepared for larger groups. I can go on and on about this, but I may have lost the reader at this point. If this place intends to survive and grow, I don't want to say the managers should be fired, but definitely retrained in the art of dealing with the general public, and how to communicate without disrespecting people. I visited Putttshack on a Friday night with a group of about 12. We had a lot of fun coming here, and they were perfect for groups. If I remember correctly we were split into two teams of 6 and worked our way through the course one after the other. Immediately upon entering I was welcomed by a coat check, which was thankfully free. You'll also want to use it as any added bulk on the links can severely hinder your performance, and worse, may result in an one of those embarrassing should-have-got-it misses in front of your friends. So, yes, use the coat check. The place was popping, and all of the seating was full on this particular Friday. I was still happy that it was still very easy to get a drink at the bar. Moving toward the course: an employee hands you a ball that has a sensor in it to track your strokes and automatically adjusts the tee order based on the performance of the individual members in your team. It worked well, but not without its small misses and glitches here and there. Still, though, hands down better than having to keep track of the score ourselves (especially after I told you how easy it was to get a drink at the bar). The course itself was pretty challenging, and there are plenty of opportunities for more risky golfers to earn a few extra points with trick shots. Ultimately I wish that the course was a bit longer though. For the price, I would say it was definitely worth it. read more

Absolutely horrible experience. I would rate this a ZERO if I could. My wife and I went here on her birthday last Monday after many friends recommended we go here. After walking by the hostess stand, being worked by three young adults staring at their phones. We went to the restroom. One of the men's stalls had been destroyed.... Poop everywhere. Which never got cleaned up during our hour and a half stay... We proceeded to the bar to get a quick drink before our game. Three bartenders, 10 guests at the bar and it took them 15 minutes to make a drink... which they made with incorrect ingredients and then overcharged us $4... We hurried to our course only to be ignored by another employee staring at their phone... As we waited for him to finish sending GIFs to his buddies, we were passed up by two families with small children. This place advertises 21+ after 7:30pm, but as the employee told me, "they don't enforce it". After finally getting our balls and clubs, we played our two rounds of golf, which were incredibly easy and only took 15 minutes tops. We went back to the bar for a final drink before we left and were overcharged again. I notified the bartender of the issue and she grabbed her manager, who comp'd one of them but did not fix the price in the system. Meaning, they continued to overcharge customers knowingly ALL NIGHT. I am leaving out a lot of detail because so many shitty things happened during our stay. Truly one of the worst nights out in a long time... I highly recommend anyone thinking of going here, to reevaluate their life decisions and just go to Top Golf. AND THANK YOU SO MUCH "KELSEY H" for her copy and paste response. This place has potential but it felt like a lot of hoops to go through to play mini golf. What I liked: Fun arcade type of mini golf, our kids enjoyed it What I didn't like: The staff demanded we enter a phone number for every adult playing - my parents weren't going to do this and the employee gave us attitude saying we had to. I had to make up phone numbers because it was between that and just leaving. We wanted to change our date and time we had prepaid for and couldn't do it online. I tried to call and couldn't get a person on the phone. My sister wasn't feeling well and wanted to eat while we played. The front kiosk staff told her she could only eat after we played. The dining room wasn't busy so that seemed weird. We talked to the bartender and she could have ordered from the bar but we just did Lazy Dog after instead. As we have seen many people who have walked in and were not able to play because they were booked up for the rest of the night. You can book a time slot up to two weeks in advance. Dining in was easier to get sat. Also, it is 21 and over after 8PM. It's very colorful, with lots of lights and music. There are four courts and you get assigned one of them per game. But they are very accommodating to move you to another court if you would rather try a different one. They also offer a picture of you with a Polaroid camera. Just gotta ask. They have a full bar, and they offer awesome unique signature drinks. The food was much better this last time we went. We had the buffalo chicken dip and a dessert. Crowded and I didn't like their reservation system. If you set reservation and you check in, they should call you at your time and keep reservation order. We lined up 5 min before our reservation and multiple people with later reservations were in line and allowed to go before us and we nearly missed a dinner reservation after. There aren't many indoor mini golf options so will have to deal with it from time to time but will take an outdoor option over this anytime. read more

I recommend booking early in advance, however when you book you must pay for all players at once and you have to decide immediately whether or jot you want to reserve a table to eat in advance or even play a second course, When you enter you can check your coat for free. Go upstairs to the kiosk to check in and then it will assign you a course. Head to your course kiosk to dispense your ball which connect to the TVs at each hold to track your score. Pros: affordable ($14 per game), free coat check, helpful staff, clean facility, fun atmosphere Cons: confusing to navigate if you've never been (i recommend watching the online tour beforehand), games are only 9 holes, and although a fun environment it was very overstimulating: PACKED with people, dance club level of music and MANY flashing lights, finally, there were at least five technical difficulties with internet connections which held up the games. Overall: affordable fun that feels high end. I wish there was an opportunity after the game to add on another but the place is literally so busy every ten minute time slot is filled Not appropriate for those with sensitivities to stimulation like flashing lights and loud sounds. This is the epitome of good concept poor execution. Let's start with the golf. The staff is woefully undertrained. There is a coat check when you walk in. The coat checker has zero information except to direct you up the stairs. Ok cool. Upstairs there's a line to get to a person to direct you to another line to kiosk to check in. The GUI ok the kiosk is ok. But not great. The places presents itself as high tech but the tech is LOW grade. Then you are directed to a third line. Frankly you could have skipped the first line if you had known BUT nobody even the several texts you received really explained the process. So you get to the poorly paid disinterested guy handing you your super high tech "chipped" ball and he blurts his spiel as fast as he can get back to his insta. So you have to push back on the line to find a club that fits then go do your golf. Why if every ball is chipped to a single user can they not deal with several balls on a field at one time??? Would seriously like an answer to that inquiry. Restaurant: just skip it entirely. Don't bother. The bartender got both our drinks wrong twice despite ordering off the menu and the waiter having what we had ordered in his log. The food is not good and small desperate selection. Result: New experiences are fun because their novel. We wont be back because the service is way below McDonalds and the food is worse. read more

We went to Puttshack for their soft opening. Although it was a bit of a hike from the city, it was so worth the trip. The great soundtrack, ambiance/lighting, and inventive mini golf courses created an experience that was tons of fun. This is a great spot for a date, corporate outing, or family adventure. I was really impressed by the cocktails at the bar. There was also a fine selection of whiskeys (i.e., Bruichladdich) that you don't find at most bars. After we finished a competitive game of mini golf, we got a table for dinner and the menu was fantastic. We got the meatballs (very flavorful and moist), a twist on poutine with goat cheese, and a delicious pepperoni flatbread with a light honey drizzle. While it's not pictured (because we devoured it so quickly) - I highly recommend the Chicago tailpipe egg rolls. It's one of the best apps I've tasted. In summary, I can't recommend Puttshack enough. The mini golf had modern technology (sensors which tell you what player's turn it is, no manual score keeping, etc.). The seamless experience combined with an almost club-like atmosphere can't be beat! read more

In theory puttshack is great, but anything involving tech can be super tricky. I came here on a date night at around 7 on a Friday. After 7, the place is 21+ and was very crowded. I recommend reserving online, and if you want to eat reserve the table then as well. We had fun, the drinks are pretty okay priced. Have some patience though, it's busy, it's crowded, and the tech has hiccups, there's not many attendants and they seem to always be quite busy. I didn't really see any sanitation of the putts so if that's an issue for you, come prepared with the hand sanitizer. We have been here three times already. It's a fun place. We've taken an 8-year-old and a few teenagers . . . and each time, we've had a blast. Our favorite course for the kids is 'Ruby'. The key is to reserve online before 3:00pm and get everyone registered ahead of time. Then you can simply go up and get your putter and ball. You may have to wait a bit at each hole but not long at all. It's a busy place and you just have to be prepared for it. The one thing would be great if they mixed up some of the courses and the questions in true/false. We also tried the food and drinks and they were good. I would come back again. read more

There are four different Putt putt courses, two on each side of the second floor. The holes are really really easy courses.
