This place was cool. We had our company dinner here while in Chicago for our annual meetings. It had a little bowling alley area that was being used by other folks, it had a banquet area where we all had our buffet line and ate, and it had a very cool little bar right in the middle of everything. The bar tenders and the wait team was AMAZING and were right where they needed to be when you needed them. They were nice and friendly as well. The food was kind of like bar food but had a little bit of an upscale feel to it and everything was very tasty. Not a fan of restaurants that kick you out while you're eating. We went for the brunch buffett and we're planning to order another round of drinks, one person wanted to have an omelette and went home hungry. Just not a good experience after being told there was no time limit originally they told us our time was up and brought us the bill. Don't come here if you're planning to visit and relax because apparently your expected to shovel down your food and drinks and GTFO. I also felt very bait and switched I called and was told the Galentines special would have vendors so we can go shopping. I was excited to think we would have food, visiting, plus activities but we only had 3 vendors one of which had already left by the time I went looking for them. They did have lush who had a crafting station for your own bath products plus a goody bag so they were definitely a high light. But I'd really anticipated something different from the advertisement especially when I called and asked questions about the event. There were no jewelry, nails, crafts or anything other than one vender with purses and watches. So this could have definitely had more variety. The DJ was in a completely different room so it wasn't like you could ask for songs and get to sit and enjoy them. The omelettes were decent, chocolate fountain had good strawberries, although I think they use melting chips. The buffett felt very carb forward. Two pastas, pizza, fries with a very small carving station compromised of what looked like two very small dried out looking pieces of meat and chicken strips and chicken in the buffet. So not much variety. I would say there's definitely better buffets with better selections where you can get your money worth and not be given a time limit so you can actually visit the people your with rather than feeling like you need to rush as even the bottomless mimosas are time limited. read more

First time coming here at Pinstripes, at first it looks just like a traditional restaurant, then you notice the bowling lanes and bocce area tucked in there unexpectedly, what a fun surprise. I ordered the prime rib dip sandwich. Herb-crusted prime rib, sliced to order, provolone, horseradish cream, au jus, on an artisan baguette. Everything came separate, which threw me off for a second, but honestly I liked it. It looked like an Italian beef, just not dry at all. The meat was tender and juicy, tons of flavor on its own. Once you dip it in the au jus though... totally different experience. Rich, savory, messy in the best way. I probably dipped it a little too much, but no regrets. I also got the Berry Bliss Lemonade mocktail. Lemonade with blueberry, fresh lemon, berries, mint, and a splash of sparkling water. Dinner for 6 of us on a Saturday at 5:30pm . We all enjoyed our entrees. I would consider it a small menu, compared with nearby similar reataurants. Our server was excellent. The food runner was not. I asked for a glass of ice but he never brought it. So I had to drink luke warm water with my meal . We sat in the enclosed cement patio. There is no noise buffering in that area. Just left here with a group of friends and it wasn't exactly what I expected. Being able to have a section(s) was nice.... However, you pay by the hour not by game and your hour starts immediately even when everyone isn't there yet which is just redundant. We had to campaign for more time because our lane was getting stuck each time someone bowled and we had to restart it each time. My bar drink was very watered down although the slider I had was not bad. The whole experience was just not at the level we thought it would be. It seems to be designed as more of a hang out spot than actual bowling.. so it was nice to try it but we definitely won't need to come back. read more

I've been to the Northbrook location but this is my first visit to the Oak Brook location. My review is for the weekend brunch buffet only. Ambiance: Loved the outdoor seating. Very pretty and spacious. Food: Waffles-so delicious. Crispy outside & light and airy inside. Get the lemon whipped cream topping, there are a few different choices. I guarantee that you will at least eat two. I appreciate that their waffles come in a mini size. Prime rib-excellent. Lox/Smoked salmon-very good, very low on sodium so you can have more capers. I made a sandwich with a croissant & cream cheese. Peel & eat shrimp-fresh & very good. Bacon-good. Brussel sprouts-crispy & very good seasoning. I heard they are famous for it. Cheesecake bites-only the lemon cheesecake is good. No one else at our table finished the other ones. Yogurt parfait-Mediocre. Skip. Coffee-good & is included in the buffet. Good service. Very cute bowling alley. It's not very big, but it makes up for it in character. You are able to add your picture to your name on the screen when playing your turn. That was a nice touch and modern. I came with a large party. Now what I didn't expect was for the fun to be so good. The brussel sprouts were my favorite. The chicken wings hit the spot. The chicken sandwich is also very good. The calamari wasn't crispy enough for me. Parmesan fries were perfectly seasoned. There was an issue with one of our lanes. The staff was accommodating and apologetic. Great customer service there. We initially booked our experience in pinstripes Barrington. After a week we got an email that that location is closing so you can go to the other locations and your prices will be acknowledged. We went to Oakbrook location and they had different pricing and initially they refuse to acknowledge the pricing. When we show them the email, the manager was very nice and he accommodated the pricing for the Barrington location. We we got two lanes because of the number of guests we had. Unfortunately, the lane kept breaking. The computers kept freezing,the pins kept freezing. We had to call Service for so many times even the floor manager had to come and help us so many times. they did discount us because of the inconvenience, but our plan was doing joy with our visiting friends, and they were getting pretty annoyed. I bet they had the better equipment, to run better. I don't think so. Will go back to this location. read more

We had a gift card and dropped in here to try their popular weekend brunch which currently goes for $35 pp (and $45 pp on holiday weekends). Reservations well ahead of time are recommended as they do get booked up. In fact, we meant to go to the Northbrook Pinstripes, but came here as Northbrook was all booked up by the time I checked. Their buffet is quite extensive and I'll go with a 4 star rating.  You can check my menu photos and extensive food photos.  I particularly enjoyed the prime rib, a freshly made and customized omelette, and smoked salmon.  Some other offerings amongst others included ham, shrimp cocktails, chicken and waffles, standard breakfast items, pizzas, various pastas, and a salad bar.  Included beverages are coffee, tea, and sodas.  Other juices or alcoholic beverages are at added cost.  Their sweets were like store-bought and mediocre though. The space here is pretty large and there is a bit of walking from the dining areas to the buffet stations as they are separated by a bar area and the entrance lobby area.  There is also a bowling room with 8 lanes located in this center area.  The dining areas comprise of a comfortable main dining room which we requested and gratefully received, and a large heated patio area that kind of looked and felt like a big car dealer garage (ie, not very homey).  They had a live saxaphone player floating about the dining areas also. One handicapped Yelp reviewer cited and warned of the long walks and the heavy plates.  And dang, I remembered that review when my modestly loaded plate did indeed feel pretty heavy!  Our server guy was efficient, friendly, and fine.  Overall, a decent outing, and if you like big brunch buffets, this is one to consider. read more

Went to celebrate a friend's 29th birthday with my girlfriend. Haven't bowled in years, so that was fun. They have a huge bowling alley, seats and couches all over. Well lit, they had food all over inside and outside, outside was more like a buffet vibe, it was well needed. Every staff member was nice, full of smiles, happy to assist. Fun-day Brunch today with Santa at Pinstripes in Oak Brook. Pinstripes is decorated in a festive way in December and with Santa and the live holiday music, the atmosphere was alive with celebration. To start, our large party was on the "front path" area and kept extremely warm with heat lamps. The outer room is well lit and spacious and our server Cindy was fabulous. She kept our drinks coming and brunch plates cleared, despite it being a very busy Sunday. I ordered a Cranberry mimosa. My favorite choices on the buffet were the carved prime rib of beef, made to order omelet and waffles with lemon ricotta cream with berry compote. I also enjoyed some Pinstripes favorites, like cheese ravioli, Assorted salads and pizza. The only challenge we had was finding parking, but that's to be expected this time of year near Oak Brook mall. The lot immediately in front of Pinstripes is small, and holiday shopping made for limited spots for cars. Expect to walk a bit on a busy Sunday during brunch. read more

I visited Pinstripes for my mother in laws birthday. We came on Sunday during brunch. I have to say that I was actually pleasantly surprised at how tasty the food was. We had a large group of 10 so they sat us in the back near the barn doors. It was spacious. Overall, I enjoyed myself and will be bringing the kids back. We traveled a long distance to play bacci ball on our anniversary. It's my wife's favorite game. Before we left we looked on their website and saw full openings & were free to book any times all the way to the final confirmation but we weren't sure how long it take us with traffic. When we get there, we were asked if we had a reservation. I explained why we didn't book it because we didn't know what time we would get there due to the long travel. First off, I love this place. The best wedding I ever went to was here. Their food, service drinks and venue were wonderful. So nice that when my son planned his wedding, I decided to throw a welcome to Chicago party the night before at the pinstripes on Illinois street in downtown Chicago. The date we chose was Friday Sept 19, 2025, next week. We arranged everything and I told the event coordinator that I was going to pay in advance over the next 6 months to make sure it was paid off before the event. In fact last Friday two weeks before the event I received an email requesting final menu and final payment. No problem, I emailed the menu and authorized final payment . Today is 9 days till the event, I receive an email that states, closing venue to unseen circumstances. A phone number to call that does not answer. I contacted their supposedly home venue in barrington and although sympathetic they were treating me like pinstripes didn't know what was happening and didn't plan on contacting venues that they were going to cancel. My big problem is 1. They broke our contract by not providing their end of the contract. 2. They did not consult with me to offer options or the return of my money. 3. They are causing unwanted and unnecessary stress on our family, in having to now figure out what to do with 50 people in one week. Great brunch on the weekends. The price is good. The variety is amazing. The quality of the food is above average. The only complaint I have is that some of the food needs to be replaced sooner when it's old. The staff is always friendly and on point with getting drinks and service. The building itself is newer and clean. The best time to go for the brunch is on a special occasion like Christmas Father's Day or something else they do like that because it's significantly better than the normal weekend brunch. I'm giving them five stars because they were overwhelmingly supportive and patient with our large group of 20+ people. My family came in town from all over the country, and I love that I was able to book a large table for us without any extra charge. The prices were very decent as well, with people getting the lobster mac & cheese, the salmon salad, and even the tiramisu. Overall, my family seemed pleased with their food. I attended a wedding rehearsal dinner at Pinstripes in Oak Brook. We were in a room upstairs that had windows. There was a buffet that included salad, chips, chicken and beef sliders, brownies and cookies. The food was good, I just think it wasn't very warm in temperature. The service was great. The staff was friendly and attentive. It's a nice place to hold a party of around 25-50 people. It's a fun place too, they had a bowling alley and bocci ball. We had a buffet that included salad, chips, sliders- burgers, chicken and meatballs. For dessert, they had brownies and cookies. Everything was great. I feel bad posting a negative review because it's not based on the bowling, food or staff. It's based on the fact that I reserved what I thought was bowling and dinner for 7 for my friend's birthday, 3 weeks in advance in a Sunday at 5. When we got there we were told our reservation was only for dinner. Of course in hindsight, I saw they were right. But I revisited their website and the only place I could find to make reservations was what I clicked on--which rerouted me to their Tock reservation link. Of course there was nothing available the rest of the night. So disappointing. Please Pinstripes, do something about the UI. Maybe I'm old, but teens in our party also couldn't find where to reserve a bowling lane. That said, I'd really like to try this place out. It's cute and I hear the food is good. If this happens to anyone else, we did find availability at Stardust Lanes in Addison, and they do serve food. Totally different experience though. read more

I came here to eat with some friends as we were indecisive on what to eat for dinner. The main perk at the time of dining was that there was not much of a wait when we arrived so we were seated immediately. Location: It's right near Oak Brook Mall Parking: The parking is limited in the actual Pinstripes parking lot but there's plenty of parking if you park across near the mall. Not the most ideal, but it works. Staff: The customer service was good for the most part but the restaurant also wasn't too packed when we were dining in on a Sunday for an early dinner. Cost: The cost was on the pricey end for the amount of food and quality of food in my opinion. Food: I ordered pasta and my friends ordered burgers etc. I wasn't wow'ed by the food and likely wouldn't come back just to eat here. -- I'd check out the other restaurants near the mall before I come here again. read more

I was here for a private event my organization was hosting, so I can't comment on the usual service and gaming options, but it's a large space with nice rooms available and everyone that helped us was cordial and friendly. It was a Morning event so we ordered coffee, juices, pastries, fresh fruit and parfaits, which were nicely set up and went over very well. I saw the bowling alley near the restrooms and it has plenty of lanes. There's a nice bar just outside of it, too. There is also a large balcony. Serving size is plentiful in my opinion. I had the goat cheese pasta which was really good and I would order again. Chicken Parmesan was tasty but no offer of additional shredded Parmesan. As always the chicken wings were as expected. Was there for Bday dinner and received a free small sundae w/candle. It's shocking that a restaurant of this size doesn't have a liquor license at this current moment. Not being able to serve alcohol hurts both the guests experience and the business itself. OMG is all I can say about their weekend brunch!!!! You would think because they have bowling/bocce there it wouldn't be elegant but they had the restaurant and games separate. The ambiance was soo nice even the patio which is all seasons. The staff were very friendly and helpful and GERALD was the bomb! It was my birthday so he made sure we were well taken care of, came and checked on us to be sure we enjoyed our experience. Unlimited mimosas were truly unlimited and very tasty. The food is better than average , but you have to work at it .
