Rolling Lanes Bowling is officially my new favorite "mom night out" spot. Buckets. Of. Beer. And not the sad kind -- the generous, "we're staying awhile" kind The karaoke? Unhinged in the best way. Confidence levels were HIGH, talent levels were... present-ish, and somehow the bartenders made it all even better. Truly amazing humans -- fun, fast, and absolutely along for the ride with us. Honestly half the reason we'll be back. It's also a PERFECT Bear Down-friendly place to watch playoff games. Big screens, great vibes, and zero judgment when you're yelling at the TV with your mom friends like you're at Soldier Field. And yes... the tequila shots definitely helped. With the singing. I like that there's automatic scoring (I could never figure out how to manually keep score). However, the facility needs serious updates or at least to be thoroughly cleaned. The ball I used had icky gunk (that's the scientific term) on the outside and in the finger holes. Yuck. The rental shoes were actually in good condition and the cost was very reasonable. Chose this bowling alley to purchase a gift certificate. After reading the low ratings I was skeptical. I was pleasantly surprised by several things. When I called I was greeted by Tyler who explained how their gift certificates work and that when I stop in to ask for him or Chrissy. I stopped in early evening on a Monday. I was immediately greeted by a friendly gal, learning later that she was Chrissy. Because of the negative review regarding cleanliness, I wanted to take a looksee before I made my purchase. The locker and bathroom had that "just cleaned" smell. The toilets still had the blue cleaning liquid! Carpeting was vacuumed. Floors were washed through the entire place! I realize being a Monday that cleaning is done after the weekend yet my gut tells me the place is kept clean and have no idea why bad reviews were left except I do know that due to competition, fake reviews exist. I checked out the bar and restaurant and they were clean as well!! Chrissy was very helpful and thanked me for patronizing their bowling alley. Oh, and a huge parking lot, too!! The only thing I would suggest which so many of us forget about, even in our own homes, is the cleaning of the return air vents. Terrible customer service. We were bowling on two lanes both of which were not returning the ball and the lane was not scoring accurately. After asking multiple times for assistance we still did not get help. After 30 minutes without bowling we decided to leave because it was my 7 year old cousins birthday and it was getting late. It was an unfortunate way to end the evening. They would not issue a refund and the worker was incompetent. I would give 0 stars if I could. Very disappointing way to run a business. read more

I've been here many times over the years, growing up just down the street. It hasn't changed that much, it appears to me. It's a local bowling alley, with a restaurant, bar and even a barbershop. They have an arcade, and a big number of lanes. Despite the big number of lanes, they have a lot of events and leagues going in, so sometimes it can be hard to get a lane. I always recommend calling ahead of time to make sure you don't waste time. I was in a children's league here a long time ago and it was fun thing to be a part of. Prices are about average, the bar too. The diner is pretty delicious, but no free refills for soda do beware. They do parties and other events, and have a small room for such a thing. You can definitely tell this is an older bowling alley. Despite them getting new screens for the lanes, a lot of the hardware around the lanes is clearly been there a long time. The carpet itself shows it well. This doesn't necessarily detract from them, but it is noticeable. In the end though, it's a pretty good bowling alley, and the only one for many miles, so it's a bowling Oasis in a bowling desert. Call ahead and I'm sure you will have a good time. read more

I see a lot of not so great reviews on here. I think some people expect way too much. This place is a bowling alley. It's an older place. With reasonable prices. The restaurant is a old style diner. It's good, cheap, quick and friendly. Since, Covid it's no longer 24hr. Hopefully, that will change. As, I enjoyed picking up breakfast before my 4am start of shift. Also, Maria's barber shop is here as well. If you are looking for another place that is good, cheap, quick and friendly. This is your place for an excellent haircut. She even does a straight razor cleanup on your neckline. I highly recommend both places. read more

We did not go bowling but we went to the restaurant attached. After having breakfast I would NEVER bring my family here again. We really wish we could give this restaurant no stars. The owner brings you water not only his fingers in your cup, but palms over the rim of your glass. This after watching him continuously scratching his chest and rolling his fingers around I his ears. The son dropped a plate of food behind my husband, only cursed out loud, never excused himself or apologized to my husband. Owner also brings your utensils with fingers on your silverware. My son's pancakes had a burnt taste and the sausage tasted like they were sitting out all day. My family eats out a lot and this was by far the worst restaurant ever. read more

From the outside this alley looks old and out of date but is pretty nice and staff are friendly.. only issue I see is lack of communication when comes to open bowl, if a party has already rented the alley out... all the lanes were rented out but since it wasn't all being used we were allowed to play... not knowing that when doing so they don't honor there special of there normal specials... Saturday's here are $15 per person all you can bowl from 10:30-1:30 but since it was rented it was closed at 1... so from me spending $45 to celebrate my cousins birthday.. I ended up paying over $70 and for a half hour less ... the excuse given was,"it takes more time and money to clean and maintain the lanes"... that's the reason they don't honor the special... doesn't make sense to me maybe I'm wrong but if you charged the party for the whole alley knowing you need to do all lanes before hand yet you just can't honor a special put in place by the alley on there normal Saturday day... I just feel its bad business ethic to change things without a reasonable explanation or notice.. unless they are ripping people off by booking parties there and they made enough with just them... that still doesn't make sense why they don't do something they do on a normal Saturday.. I'm honestly lost on the thought process and recommend everyone to call before hand cause they will change things in a minute ... reason of low stars is basically the lack off reliability in advertising and online representation to the reality... read more

Took my teen daughter and friend here Saturday night. Young guy at the counter was great. Got a Pepsi from the bar from female bartender, she seemed great too. Bowled three games. They turned the crazy lights on and a good time was had. Maybe I don't frequent enough places like this, but this place had a bowling alley vibe. Also, if you have to tunnel out of a bowling alley a strike will mask the sound of a rock hitting a sewer pipe. read more

One of the cleanest and nicest bowling alleys I've been too. Great customer service. They have a huge bar, an actual restaurant attached, and one of the best barber shops around. How can you beat that. Wednesday is $1.50 per person/per game. Great for kids! read more

I like this place. Nothing fancy but was able to do open bowling on a Sunday evening, get some finger food from the Country Cup restaurant attached. Played some darts too - no one in the bar at all. So we were able to have a nice family game of darts. Friendly service. I have had some excellent chicken rice soup from the restaurant in the past. Will be back! read more

Walked in to bowl on a Saturday at 12:20Am to get a lame, they ignored me for 5 mins, and they already closed the register and told us no more bowling, when they close at 1:30AM. My son, the infamous Kelly who travels around with me as I review businesses, and I took in a little bowling together at the Countryside Lanes. This place hasn't a sign that says Countryside Lanes, the sign out front says Rolling Lanes, so just a heads up there friends. Normally the price for a game and shoe rental is $5.50 with each additional game another $2.75. However, all day Wednesdays it is $1.50 for rental and each game. Now that's a deal and I like playing and keepin' money in my pocket! Lanes open at 12:00 P.M. Two warnings, don't expect edible food at the restaurant there called the Country Cup. Avoid it if you value your money and sensibilities. Secondly, the guys restroom is filthy and smells like a youth camp outhouse. Kelly did not use it and he was dying in need of it. Luckily I never needed it. So although the bowling is a 5 star deal the crappy food and bathroom cleaniness issues bring this place down to just an A-Ok. read more

Terrible, rude staff! I went with my little girl on a Sunday night (they advertised open bowling and stood at the front counter for quite a long time. We only saw one person working there, and he was busy vacuuming the floor. Im a very polite person and would have waited a few minutes for him to finish. He made eye contact a few times, and continued to ignore for close to 15 minutes. So finally (huffing and puffing and acting as if we inconvenienced him) he slowly drags his butt up to the counter and says in a very impolite tone "What do you need?" We'd like a lane please. He says "Sure. I can get you a lane somewhere between 9 and 11 (it was 5 in the afternoon, and there was barely any lanes in use) "Oh we have a private party coming in around 8." Ummm okay, we don't plan on bowling that long cant you give us a lane and we will be out by 7." Nope. And the jerk walks away and continues vacuuming, leaving my 4 year old daughter at the counter crying. Not to mention, my daughter is very friendly and said hello to the man a few times, which he completely ignored. If I wasn't kind and reserved I would have punched him in the face. He was the RUDEST person I've ever dealt with anywhere, and I'd NEVER go back to that place after how he treated us. So sorry that I wanted to inconvenience you by spending money at your establishment. I understand if you already have the lanes booked, but when you advertise open bowling, and we drive all the way from the city, you can at least be apologetic and polite when turning us down. I had been here a few years back when I used to work in the area, and I and my friends were treated in a similar manner. We (being well beyond legal drinking age) Purchased beverages at the bar and were drinking them by the arcade games waiting for our lane to open. An employee comes up to us and says "You cant bring alcohol in here! You punks get the (expletive) out of here and don't come back!" Ummm, so we cant drink beer that we bought from you here? My whole point is, they treat you as if they are bothered by serving you. And this wasn't just one occasion. Im not sure if its the owners or the management, but they have a lot to learn in customer service. There is another bowling alley close by (I wont mention their name for content control) But they have an incredibly friendly staff, incredibly clean facility, and they are willing to "bend" their rules to accommodate their customers. Cliche, but I wish I could give zero stars. Went to the bar here with my friend. The appearance alone is atrocious. Decor more you would see at kid's party room than a bar. The bartender was one of the rudest humans I have ever met. I can't believe there would be regulars because of her disgusting attitude, appearance, and clothing. Went there earlier tonight around 10pm with my boyfriend and three step kids , they said they'll at open bowling started at 10:30pm, so we went to the car for like 15 min. This bowling alley (a.k.a. Rolling Lanes ) has great open bowling specials ($1.00 per game). The ceiling was just redone and has brightened up the lanes. Great drink specials and great live entertainment on the weekends. They have Karaoke on Wednesday's that draws a great crowd. There is also a 24 hour restaurant that has great food with good prices.
