I reached out to the bowling alley to set up a youth outing. Jerry, the manager, was more than accommodating. This bowling alley is a great hidden gem. They have plenty of balls, new and clean rental shoes, and the everything is really clean. There is plenty of off-street parking, and the rates are extremely competitive. We signed up for an hour and paid. Everything was great for 10 minutes with Christmas music and and nice attendant etc. then over the loud speaker they had an alderman speak for 25 minutes turning the music off and talking about construction projects and taxes while I'm trying to bowl with my kids. Laughable bad. If you want to have an event where every person has to listen to the 25 minute presentation on the financial situation of Berwyn you need to rent out the the whole space or warn people before they pay $45 read more

I took the kids I babysit bowling here to escape the summer heat. It was very reasonable for 3 people to bowl, under $40. The staff were kind and accommodating. It appeared a senior citizen bowling league was coming in as we left, and the employees took care to escort them all to their seats, provide them with newspapers, etc. Such a fantastic community establishment, I'd prefer to give them my $ over a chain establishment any day. Hey y'all Just a quick review on Striker Lanes. I haven't had a physical visit in a while, but I have to say Stryker Lanes has been a staple in our community for decades. The bar is open and available during the current legal guidelines. Walk into the bar and it's a bit like stepping back in time. This is a great place if you are into that whole old school bar, just like it used to be atmosphere, while being warm and accepting .I met my husband and celebrated our engagement here.They are very open and inviting to everyone that comes in. It's dark without being dingy. The staff are outgoing and personable. The drinks are appropriately priced and the bartenders make them a little stiff. It's also great for parties. They have various activities like karaoke and others on different nights of the week, and a game room. The game room is exceptional. Machines are always clean, and they payout often. The staff roots for you and are there for whatever you need, while knowing not to interrupt when you're on a roll. Speaking of rolling, the bowling lanes are clean and well maintained, as are the balls and rental shoes. All this and there is more! I called the bowling alley this afternoon to get a general Idea as to how much the bowling costs. They need to know the days (nights) and time frame for when you want to bowl if you need a quote. The gentleman I spoke with was very patient and considerate while I stumbled through how many people I may or may not have in my group I eventually came to a number in the group and the night of the party. I was given an affordable price. In fact the price was surprisingly low. I asked out of curiosity about a price difference for a larger group in the future. It again would depend on when, etc. It appears that they are willing, within their means to work with you to ensure your party guests have an affordable night (day) of fun! Unfortunately my team dissolved due to one team member passing away and another who sustained a serious stroke. Donny their mgr is a caring and a nice fellow. The bowling alley is quaint, meaning not big, descent. However, the mask mandate should be enforced when large groups gather and Management should lead by example in wearing masks as well. Well, the kids sure like it. My kiddos really like bowling at this place. I like it too because the staff is awesome. They have bumpers for the gutters and offer to put them up whenever we bowl. The kiddos need it, so I agree. There's a flat screen at each end of the floor for sports games, etc., vending machines for drinks and snacks, and a bar for $5 captain and cokes (which I drink when the kiddos aren't around, of course) =D. They have posters of old gangsters on the walls of the bar which I thought was pretty cool. We usually stop in at around 6pm and the place is empty. Perfect for me. We pick a lane and start playing. Other times, they have league games so people will start coming in at around 6:45 for that. Shoes rentals were inexpensive. They have plenty of balls to choose from, lockers for your belongings, an ATM, and plenty of street parking available. It's very old school. Don't expect any of the flashing lights or digital screens. You do need to keep your own score on paper but since I don't know how, the guy at the register offered to figure it out for us at the end of the game. After paying, we got cards for buy one, get one free games. They also host b-day parties and celebrations. Only issue for me was that there was no juke box. =( read more

I've been itching to go bowling for a long time now. Decided to look up some places and found this place. They had opening bowling for 1 hour + shoe rental for $7 and $10 for 2 hours. We opted for 1 hour and for 2 people, you could get about 3 games in. The place was clean. There is a bar area, but don't think they serve food. (I could be wrong.) There was a vending machine for snacks and one for pop. Not a whole bunch of ball selection though. Bathroom was clean. Will be back for some bowling fun! read more

My review is kind of late, but I have to let everyone know how much I enjoyed this establishment. I had a birthday party for my then 10 year old daughter here and she and her friends had a ball! I had a very small deposit to pay to hold my spot on a Saturday afternoon (only $25!!). The staff was very professional and very pleasant. The staff was also great about us having food at the party. The staff recommended a pizza delivery place for us that dropped off pizza for the kids. We had brought in a cake and ice cream- the staff was nice enough to let us use their freezer & refrigerator. They went above and beyond as far as I'm concerned. The restrooms were clean and I felt totally safe (as opposed to most bowling alleys that look and feel like dangerous dives). Myself and a few of the other parents were able to bowl in two lanes right next to the birthday girl and her friends. I was very impressed and plan on taking my daughter here again just for kicks. read more

Went out bowling for my husbands bday last night, and let me tell you all this place is GREAT! You are allowed outside food which was great! As soon as we walked in we were greeted by Gerardo and another gentlemen (Ron not sure his name) They brought out a table for us to place the food. Since not all our family was there at the on time they told us we can start whenever we wanted. So we weren't rushed. We were there for the 2 hour special,( 2 hours unlimited bowling including shoe rental) Once the 2 hours were done some of my family members wanted to play another hour, but at the same time we wanted to sing happy bday and cut the cake, Gerardo said cut the cake, take your time and whenever your ready to bowl let us know! They have a bar which was also great! $16 bucket for 5 imported beer/ $15 domestic. Over all we were super happy with this place. We will definitely be back! I think this is the first time I've paid so little for bowling. For $7 per person you get the shoes and an hour on the lane. I went with a friend and we barely squeezed in 3 games. The place was old but had a nice vibe to it. It was filled with locals who seemed to be regulars. There's also a bar however they don't serve food. They also had some arcade games and a pool table which I will be back for. 2 vending machines for Soda and light snacks. Great place for a group and very affordable. Highly recommended! read more

So this place is a decent bowling alley. It is small but clean. They have a small bar attached with a few arcade games . Only thing they dont have automatic scoring. The sheets didnt come with instructions on how to score. And it was hard to see how many pins ypu knocked down. But there was a sign that said they will be upgraded in july. Very "old school," as in no credit card payment option, older balls, no flashy televisions or cool lighting, but a great place to bowl overall. I went on a Sunday night and it was completely dead; only two lanes were being used by some local teenagers. Shoe rental is $3, you can also buy socks and various other little things. Since I didn't have cash, I had to use the ATM, which also has a $3 charge. Not a huge deal. There was only one person manning the bowling and the bar area (separated by an open wall) and he didn't seem very friendly. You pay for your games after you're finished. Pricing was not posted anywhere, and I ended up paying $16 for two games (two people on one lane), and $9 for two pairs of shoes and one pair of socks. $25 for an hour of bowling seems a bit pricey, but I had a nice time. read more

I love this place!! An old-school bowling alley and bar; hand scoring, vending machines, old style lanes and seats. They do have a jukebox - always have (it's in the bar). You can call local restaurants and have them deliver food to you (ask the employees if they have a menu). The employees are awesome and it's a great place to go. There's often leagues, so call before you head over. DJ in the bar on some weekends (again, call before to check). If you're looking for a brunswick place, don't bother with Strikers. I was here on a Saturday afternoon for a birthday and I was extremely impressed with the young man in charge of the place. He was very respectful and went out of his way to make sure we enjoyed the day. I love great customer service and this place topped my list. I didn't like the fact that you have to keep score on you're own and the room with the bowling balls smelled like it was filled with cigarettes and air freshener even though the place was spotless and extremely clean.
