This is the epitome of good concept poor execution. Let's start with the golf. The staff is woefully undertrained. There is a coat check when you walk in. The coat checker has zero information except to direct you up the stairs. Ok cool. Upstairs there's a line to get to a person to direct you to another line to kiosk to check in. The GUI ok the kiosk is ok. But not great. The places presents itself as high tech but the tech is LOW grade. Then you are directed to a third line. Frankly you could have skipped the first line if you had known BUT nobody even the several texts you received really explained the process. So you get to the poorly paid disinterested guy handing you your super high tech "chipped" ball and he blurts his spiel as fast as he can get back to his insta. So you have to push back on the line to find a club that fits then go do your golf. Why if every ball is chipped to a single user can they not deal with several balls on a field at one time??? Would seriously like an answer to that inquiry. Restaurant: just skip it entirely. Don't bother. The bartender got both our drinks wrong twice despite ordering off the menu and the waiter having what we had ordered in his log. The food is not good and small desperate selection. Result: New experiences are fun because their novel. We wont be back because the service is way below McDonalds and the food is worse. read more

I will say it was a bit confusing, walking in, as it was our first time and no one was there to explain anything to us. Recently went to Puttshack for a birthday party. It has a cool vibe and lots of energy. I like the concept of the miniature golf but it's only 9 holes so the games go by really fast. I've been to top golf several times and have to say that I enjoy it more than Puttshack. read more

In theory puttshack is great, but anything involving tech can be super tricky. I came here on a date night at around 7 on a Friday. After 7, the place is 21+ and was very crowded. I recommend reserving online, and if you want to eat reserve the table then as well. We had fun, the drinks are pretty okay priced. Have some patience though, it's busy, it's crowded, and the tech has hiccups, there's not many attendants and they seem to always be quite busy. I didn't really see any sanitation of the putts so if that's an issue for you, come prepared with the hand sanitizer. We have been here three times already. It's a fun place. We've taken an 8-year-old and a few teenagers . . . and each time, we've had a blast. Our favorite course for the kids is 'Ruby'. The key is to reserve online before 3:00pm and get everyone registered ahead of time. Then you can simply go up and get your putter and ball. You may have to wait a bit at each hole but not long at all. It's a busy place and you just have to be prepared for it. Cheap game of mini golf- I forgot how much- maybe $12 per person? This place is huge! Lots of ample seating at tables and bars. There are four different Putt putt courses, two on each side of the second floor. The holes are really really easy courses. It was nice that there were sensors keeping track of our scores on the screens. But the holes were far too easy and we finished all 9 in like ten minutes. We decided to have date night here Sunday. For starters you have to make a reservation in advance in order to putt. The ambiance is pretty cool inside but we didn't get an opportunity to putt since we changed our reservation for a future outing. Had a great time doing a group event on a Saturday night. Demetri was so great - refilled food and drinks and was very tolerant of our groups antics :) the food was all very good. I was really looking forward to our reservation because I've seen cool Tik toks and also friends post about here! We had a 9:30 pm reso and didn't start golfing until 10:10 pm. I understand that sometimes things fall behind but 40 mins ?! Then we finally get up to the ball dispenser and are ready to play! Mind you this is our first time playing so I had no idea that the golf ball had to go on the specific black circle to register. I also didn't know that you just play until you finish your turn because normally you don't do that... I would have appreciated some instruction when it came to playing because after all it's not cheap to play here, and my score was not registering until the 3rd hole ... and there's only 9 holes. My wife and I had after dinner drinks and putt here and it was great. It is definitely on the pricey side consider how much putt putt you get to do. It's only 9 holes and and they're only one to two putts per hole. That being said the putt putt is well designed and fun! The biggest downside is that it was a Friday night and it was very busy. This place has a very interesting idea behind it. You are able to play putt putt golf, however, the technology is amazing. The location is easy to fine. It is part of the mall, with plenty of parking. You enter through the doors and get your coat check if you would like. Then you make the scale upstairs. This is where it might get confusing for some people because the middle has a restaurant, however if you want to play putt putt, you will have to sign in with the computers to the right of you. My first time entering was confusing, and it was so busy that we had no idea what to do. However, when someone was able to help me they were very friendly. Once at the computer, you register your name with your phone number and you pick your games. I believe it was $24 per game, however if you wanted to play two games, the second one would be 50% off. Afterwords you find the color location so you could start playing your game. There are two colors per opposite walls of each other so it was very easy to fine. Upon approaching the color station, you are welcome with more people who will help you get started by checking you in and giving you a ball to use.This is where the game does get amazing since the technology and the course is very advanced. There is no scorekeeping because the system will do it all for you. All your shots are based off of a point system, and if you get the special "hole in one" you get even more. Also, due to the tracking system, you are able to skip courses if the line is pretty long. Just as long as you don't use the last course because you will lose your ball at that one. I believe there are nine courses per color and a total of four colors. Overall, this location is very friendly with the friendly staff who help you if you have any questions. However this place can get very busy and that could be a little frustrating because you could be waiting 10 to 20 minutes for your turn. I feel like the price is a little high for $24 or so per game especially considering you only get nine courses per game. However, being from the Chicagoland area, it is nice to be able to play mini golf while indoors especially given our harsh winters. On average, it will should take you about 15 to 30 minutes to play the entire course. In the end, will I be back? Most likely, but it will not be during the busy times during the evening. It will most likely be in the afternoon where, it should be a little less busy. However given how short the games are, and how far I live from this location, I am not sure if I would return just for this place specifically. It does feel a little cramped playing the games, but I did have a fun time and I have been there twice in one month with my wife for a fun date night in the shopping area. PS. My last visit was a little frustrating because they closed half the area down to clean it. I do not believe there's any notifications prior to my visit, and one of the staff did not know that it was closed. They told me I had the option of returning in about four hours to come back, however there was no guarantee that it would be open at that time. We had to wait by 6 machines, 3 that were not usable as they were turned off to check in one more time. On the day I went, they required reservations and my group didn't know that but Chasity helped us tried to make a reservation on the spot and we waited only 10 mins to be let in. We showed up at 6:45 for a 7:00 reservation to play golf. Even though we checked in on the automated system, we did not show up on the cue, so we had to ask where to go. Thankfully the entire place was very well staffed with knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful staff. We were told where to go and to be there in 10 minutes, so we grabbed a couple of drinks while we waited. The drinks were well executed, but took longer to prepare than I expected. I particularly enjoyed the presentation of the Smokey Negroni. We enjoyed the format of the mini golf, and the difficulty was relatively low making fir close, fun games. My girlfriend and I saw this place several times on TikTok, and as a couple of millennials trying to be hip with the cool kids, we checked it out for a spontaneous Monday-night date. It's basically a classier Dave and Buster's, but the only thing they have is minigolf. Think Kings Dining & Entertainment. We arrived an hour before our reservation to eat dinner there. The dinner was good, obviously a bit expensive considering the higher-end nature of the establishment. Waiter was great, but wait times were less than ideal, but we came super early so I wasn't too bothered. The food is pretty typical - burgers, fries, other American food. The only dish that really blew me away were the "Chicago Tailpipes," which was basically an italian beef sandwich condensed into eggrolls. I thought those were SO good, and I highly recommend them if you want a quick bite to eat before your game(s). After dinner, we headed to our minigolf course (sadly, I forgot which color it was) and we got the orientation. We played two games that night on different courses. As high-tech as the course was, everything was pretty easy to understand. The courses are vibrant and the TV screens that keep score and provide extra context to the courses are aesthetically well-designed. The vibe was super fun. A few negatives: 1) Despite being a Monday night, it was surprisingly crowded and when it is crowded, you're going to be waiting for certain courses an obnoxiously long time. You can, of course, skip around but when it's super crowded, you're gonna be waiting no matter what. 2) There was a decent amount of variance between the two courses my girlfriend and I played, but they do share some of the same holes. I peeked at the remaining two courses that we did not play, and a lot of them had the same holes as well. I do wish there were more unique holes, or that each course could have 10 wholly unique holes. It removes a lot of incentive to come back, since you'd 100% be playing some of the same holes again. My girlfriend and I likely won't be coming back any time soon, despite highly enjoying our time there, simply because there won't be anything new for us to experience. They do have private event bookings which I am considering, as I feel that having a party there would be fun! Last note: I ordered some sort of malort cocktail at the bar (I am infamous amongst my friends for unironically liking malort) and it was actually REALLY good. Highly recommend the drinks at the bar, especially the malort cocktail that they had!
