Puttshack was perfect for a weekday date night! My date made a reservation so I'm unable to comment on that and pricing but he mentioned it was super easy and all online. Parking was easy and plentiful as Puttshack is located in Oakbrook Center. They have a coat check available as you walk in which is super convenient to not have to walk around and play lugging or wearing your coat. The upper level leads you to the play area where you check in. As we waited for our time slot, we grabbed a drink. I ordered one off the menu and it was tasty and adequately strong. There's plenty of seating while you wait or hang out. When it was our turn we were given a quick low down on how to navigate the course and handed our clubs. Each course is incredibly well designed and the technology makes for a fun, competitive experience. Ironically, the system would give me very enthusiastic comments on my plays while my date would get partially savage commentary, it was hilarious - he agreed. Because only you and your party are on one course at a time, this is the perfect social distancing activity. Each course has a table next to it allowing you to set down your drink/belongings. The whole thing took between 30-40 minutes I recall so I would've preferred to do another game on the other course on the opposite side after the one I enjoyed. I believe the two areas are designed differently. We went elsewhere for food but overall really enjoyed our time at Puttshack. I would definitely be back and absolutely encourage it for date night or a fun group activity! read more

This place is SO COOL! Basically the top golf for mini golf. We came here for a birthday party. The coat check line takes forever which was kind of annoying but what can ya do. You check in with the front and they assign your group to a course. When the course is ready for you, you go get started and they explain how it works. Be prepared it's very loud in there so get close when they are explaining. Each game has its own unique game to it. Not to toot my own horn, but I won in our group. Haha! The food is also top notch. One of the best burgers I've had like ever and that's saying a lot bc I've eaten many a burgers in my life. The meat is tender juicy and flavorful. The garlic fries are also a must. read more

I was super excited that this place was opening. On crappy cold or rainy days, it's nice to have an indoor mini golf option. The different "skill" holes are unique and fun. Plus, each hole has a little stand to put drinks/your bag/coat. Each game is (I think) ~$12 a person. Not cheap, but also not insane. Each game lasts 30-45 minutes depending on how long you have to wait. Honestly it gets a bit annoying because some teams will skip around and not play the holes in order. And I wish that Puttshack would limit the amount of people per course. My only cons...we are in the height of COVID again. There is a sign that says masks are required but over 80% of groups were not wearing them and the staff was not enforcing them. Pretty disappointing and weird that people won't wear them. Cmon people, it's not that challenging. The host, Andres, was REALLY friendly and helpful. Someone promote them! Will definitely be back. Just wish masks were enforced. I can understand why there are comments on here complaining of waits and crowds and such. We had the first resie for mini golf on Mother's Day. My son's ball ran out of charge so he had to exchange it and it held up the family behind us. By noon it was slammed. But, since we were the first ones on the course, we got through the 9 holes in about 30 mins and had time to rebook a second round, just in time to receive our cocktails ordered during our first round. We then asked to move our table resie up about 45 minutes and we're able to do so. Staff was very accommodating and nice but I wouldn't come here on a time constraint or expect a particular schedule. I assume you can drink at the bar or eat while waiting for your golf reservation. But I would not do it with my (impatient) kids. read more

I reserved a game of mini golf for my boyfriend's birthday, and then we had a table reserved. Our reservation for the table was for 6:45 pm, but we didn't get seated until about 20 mins later. I've been there twice now and experienced the same rotten service, bad experience with technology on the course and bad food each time. Bar service - you can't get a drink. Bartenders don't even acknowledge you. Food service is slow and food is just ok at best. This time the glitch of the day was no balls in the machine to start players off, so all reservations were backed up. Once on the course, groups of people on top of each other, in a small space then glitches occurred on holes throughout play. The concept of Puttshack is an excellent, but if the business continues down the same path I believe customers will get fed up and not return. If you go, bring your patience and tolerance for employees (and management) just not caring. read more

Crowded. Overbooked. No direction. Their check-in process is vague and their user interfaces are discriminatory to anyone with a form of color blindness. We booked 2 slots, 4 and 430 days in advance. You HAVE to make a reservation, so presumably we would have no problem checking in and getting straight to it? Wrong. We came in at the reserved time and by 430 we walked out after having to wait in line for so long just to begin. Don't waste your time coming here unless you are guaranteed the space. read more

The manager on duty on Tuesday, March 14 was AMAZING. We played hooky with my daughter to celebrate her 18th birthday and all she wanted to do was play the "ruby" course at PuttShack. It wasn't available but the manager was a softie for an 18th birthday and opened it up for us. He even checked on us a few times throughout our time there to make sure we were having a good time. Puttshack was a welcomed sight while looking for something fun to do in Oak Brook. We wandered over there one evening without having made a reservation and without any idea of what Puttshack was. However Dave (an employee) was incredibly welcoming and more than helpful with getting us set up right away! The mini golf is a really neat concept accompanied by a great bar selection (we did not eat). If you're competitive or if you just like a unique game of putt putt, you'll enjoy spending a few hours at Puttshack - we will be back if/when we return to Oak Brook! read more

Puttshack was such a fun experience for all ages! There is a variety of different Putt Putt courses where the course keeps score for you. Drinks are allowed while playing and there's tables throughout to place your drinks while you putt. The food and drinks were great! The service was phenomenal! You have to make reservations beforehand otherwise you risk whether there is openings so check online. Chris helped out our group, personally setting us up with a round of golf and a table for food and drinks. We had such a fun experience! Highly recommend!!!! read more

My brother & I went here for lunch during the week and had so much fun! The food and drinks were great! The staff was very pleasant and helpful in making suggestions on food & drinks that they've had before. The mini golf part was the most fun. It was easy to sign up and start playing. We really enjoyed the technology they use for mini golf. The inside was clean, very organized, music playlist was bumping and the interior design/decor added to the whole experience. I mean... this is a hard one... you have two settings here. Excellent, or so bad its comical and an absolute joke. I will break it all down: A) Putt Putt reservations. -Making reservations is an absolute must. You will not play golf without them. Now trying to get them less than a week in advance is a challenge at best. They will show an opening, you will click it, you will fill it out and it will tell you sorry its gone. Then you can chase openings with anyone else online at the time and maybe it will work. I also got to a point quite a few times where it asks for a phone number, I put it in, it asks for a code that is texted, I put it in and then it asks for a phone number again. Annnd Repeat... after about 10 tries, I finally figured out that when they text the code to you, if you use the handy "from messages" automatic option to fill in the blank from the text message, it does not recognize it. You will see it, but it does not. You have to type it in by hand. From there its easy. I am guessing their site designer needs to fix that. B) Golf - upon arrival there is a coat check and some nice people to direct you. (Side note, everyone wondering why their are so many job openings everywhere... its because they all work here! So many employees) Golf was fun, the coarse is unique. Slightly pricey for 9 holes but add in the technology it works out. The holes themselves are very easy. There is limited challenge, but it was fun. The games are super quick. Paying for 2 rounds would probably be a bit more fun. For reference, my 9yo legitimately won the game against 5 of us who were giving it our best. C) The restaurant. -There were multiple times I almost cut out and left. First, they sat us at a rather dirty table, I'm not one to mind but this was extra. I asked the hostess if we could get it wiped down. She vanished for about two min then came back, grabbed the towel she was using to wipe down menus and came to clean it herself. (This is the part that makes my brain hurt.) Never-mind the part that you are using the menu rag... she came over to our 6ft long table, took one swipe of one side of the table and walked away. I thought she must have seen how nasty it was and went to get cleaner. No. She went back to the host stand. I then asked her to try again and she was happy to come back. She then wiped about half the table this time and asked if that was good enough. As this point i had two options, say what i was thinking given that this is not hard. Or just try to enjoy our night out and skip explaining how to clean a table properly. -Service was good. Attentive but did not know the menu well. Explained a few things incorrectly but no biggie. -Food was a mix. -Bau Buns 10/10 -Margarita Flat bread 1/10 (flavorless and soaked on the bottom, pretty much mush.) -Veg Flat bread 9/10. Pretty tasty -Chicken Salad 9/10. Solid -Chicago pipes. 6/10. Good, but small and meh. -Buffalo Dip.... Out of stock :-( Covid: Now, i don't want to harp on this. No business is on point here. I don't expect much. But between the wipe down issue I mentioned using a nasty menu towel on my table, zero enforcement and about the same on the putters.... This was way more fun than I thought it would be! Initially I thought it would be a one time visit type of place, but after our visit, we realized there are four separate courses. We loved the high tech aspect and how it kept track of scores for us so we could just enjoy the game. However it was a little glitchy and we had to have one spot reset three times for it to work. Held a team outing here for our department of 12 people. It was way over priced for what we got. While the food (it was appetizer buffet style) and drinks were ok, they were not worth the $1100 we were paid! The draw to try here was mini golf as a fun team activity...it lasted 20 minutes (at most)! The "course" is tiny and only 9 holes. Nothing like it appears in the photos. One players ball didn't register correctly and we couldn't find anyone to assist. After the event, I was contacted and told there was an error on the initial contract and we still owed an additional $200+! (They did end up waiving it.) Very disappointed in the entire experience. This is a cute place, but they need to manage their reservations better. My friends I spent 90% waiting for the people in front of us to finish playing and the place was wall to wall packed. Everyone kept bumping into each other and it was incredibly stuffy. I felt like I could barely move. It's no shock I got Covid from this place. And yes, I'm sure it was from here. If you take Covid seriously, I 100000% recommend avoiding this place. 2 stars since I think it would be a fun and good place to go if they just managed capacity. read more

We got here on time and were not greeted by any employees or shown where to go, not saying it was difficult. We checked in for golf and were directed to the sapphire area. It was completely packed with people, it took us an hour and a half to putt 9 holes, and there was nobody checking in on us or instructing people in front of us to move faster or skip ahead for the sake of everyone waiting behind. There were also several holes that were supposed to have moving parts which seemed to not be working. Once we were finished, we asked to be seated. 20 minutes later we were greeted by our server, and since we had open tabs at the bar, we asked if our drinks would be added to our bar tab, and when we were told that we should've closed our tabs, we were also told that we shouldn't go to the bar because it would make our server look bad in front of her manager. Even though it took her 20 minutes to see us in the first place. We placed our orders for entrées, and then tried to add appetizers. When we tried to add appetizers, we were told the kitchen "gets sketchy" and that we would need to cancel all of our dinner orders and then place them again 10 minutes later so that the appetizers could get here first. Is there no way to just tell the kitchen to prioritize these? Why is this being put on us? Finally, after we placed our order, we were told to put a credit card down in advance so that they could have something in case they needed to charge us. How am I supposed to feel comfortable potentially disputing a bill, which at this point is probably going to be incorrect? In the time it took me from sitting down to finishing writing this review, so about 50 minutes, the couple sitting behind us which was here first is still waiting to be greeted for the first time. Overall these problems can be solved by checking in on service and experience from managers, which has not happened once during the time weve been here. I will definitely not be coming again, something is profoundly wrong with the leadership and supervisors of the experience. read more
