Now this place is unique! Found this gem from my friend who was on a quest! So upon entry we were warmly greeted, helped and questions answered! This place is a miniature gold spot with multiple courses and your ball is wirelessly tracked on the ground. Definitely a fun experience to bring a group of friends, have a few drinks and get a few rounds in. Cost is 14 per person and second game is half off if you decide to add the second round. Each course has its own uniqueness to it and challenges. The bar selection and drinks they have is where you have ENDLESS selection. I'm talking about page after page of drinks. This place was really fun. I wish I had bought more games/rounds because you can play through them really quick. I didn't like the drinks here. They didn't taste that how I want them to. They weren't bad but just not what I prefer. I was also disappointed they ran out of espresso when I was here because I really wanted an espresso martini. They have different bays from the easiest to the hardest. There was a little bit of a line but nothing too crazy. Service was fast and on point. Really liked the place. Such a fun and unique experience! I had never been here and my friend wanted to go for her birthday! It's an indoor putt putt place that has a few different courses. When you sign up online you are randomly assigned to a course and you wont find out till you arrive. I thought that was a cool idea at first, help keep all courses busy to not get crowded by a "popular" one. But I found out that you can't put in a request, like if you've been there 8 times and you haven't done the Ruby course, you can't request it :( So that was a little sad. Definitely gives a reason to go back but I can see where people get frustrated/disappointed. Since I had never been I had no idea what to expect! I loved that the balls were interactive/wireless. They connect to a computer and keep track of scores and who's ball is who's! You don't have to stay in order! There are tables/coatracks/purse holders all around the course. Each hole is a different theme! It was so cool to see the creativity for it! There's a restaurant there too, so if you wanna eat before/after you play definitely look into reserving a table. We were walking around RINO and saw a bunch of people having so much fun at this tech-infused mini golf establishment...the lights, the ambiance, the fun atmosphere were all magnets for us to walk in and get something to eat here. There's a large bar with beautiful lighting near the entrance of the business and it was packed when we walked in. We found a booth to sit and got a few things to eat.......Thai Chopped Salad and Persian Chicken skewers. Both were good and fresh, but both had hints of vinegar (which was not spelled out on the menu). I am not a fan of vinegar based foods, so I had a bit of each and that was it. Puttshack is so fun! They do days with half off prices so I would look out for those. Their drinks and apps are pretty good! We had them empanadas which were tasty. I forgot the name of my drink but it came with a shot that you poured in, and it was pretty strong. Also, if you do multiple courses and you get the same one twice, talk to a staff member to see if they can move you to another one. We've done all courses and the staff is always accommodating! THIS PLACE IS AMAZING! Ever since urban putt was bought out, I was worried that there wouldn't be any fun mini golfing places. This place has food, drinks, and even a coat room, to give you the ultimate swinging range. This place is interactive and the balls are linked to your name. Everyone putts one at a time and the computer keeps track of your score for you. There are holes that are trivia, connect 4, even pinball! The thing is you will automatically be populated on emerald. WHEN YOU GET YOUR BALL, YOU CAN GO TO WHATEVER PATH/COLOR YOU WANT. they didn't tell us that so a lot of people were piled into the emerald. They didn't tell us the choice until AFTER we were finished. Another down side is that it's $14 per person per path, so it can be pricy. And it's only 9 holes. Overall I would highly recommend coming here with friends or even kids. It was extremely fun, even for my grumpy Asian parents. Even better for highly competitive people. Haha read more

Both of our drinks were absolutely awful and were left entirely. The apps were good like the empanadas , the chicken skewers and the bao buns. We definitely enjoyed those full of flavors . They have four playgrounds, one located near the entrance, two in the end of the venue, and last on the side. They have self checkin machines once you walked in, afterwards at each station, the staff would assign your name with tracked mini golf ball. Drinks are very mediocre, such as voodoo IPA draft beer. Also it's somehow disorganized, staff made mistake of not seeing us in the list earlier, asked us to check in again, and wasted our time and we had to wait longer to get in the queue which already passed the reserved time spot. Great fun place! I've been wanting to check it out for a while and I am glad I did! The mini golf part is only half an hour for a round but it's $12 a person which seemed pretty reasonable to me. We had tons of fun! Vibe: laid back and super cool. Everyone was having fun around us. Food: really good! I didn't have a bad bite and everyone in my party enjoyed it all. Service: our server was a little nervous we thought as we were his first table but he did AMAZING. He was friendly, gave great suggestions and checked on us often. After I closed out, I tried to order a drink at the bar but the bartender seemed way more into chatting with other people at the bar that weren't even paying attention to her. Happened to be at the Puttshack with colleagues for a team event and we had a blast. Got there, checked in and were led to our tables where Aaron ( our amazing host for the evening) was getting ready setting up our appetizers/food table and as well tying our entry bands for each member of the team. We started with the food items that were laid out prior to hitting the course and as well drinks for those who requested for the same. Definitely enjoyed the appetizers especially the roasted veggie tacos , the mushroom flatbread and falafel cakes. Once the tanks were filled up, we were lead by Aaron to the Ruby area that happened to be our playing course for the evening. Get in line, get yourself a golf ball and pick a club along the way to get started in groups of 4. It was definitely a fun filled 7 holes to go through and witness the highs and the lows as folks would get a hole in one and some would try to make it happen eventually after a few good tries. Our family really enjoyed our afternoon playing at Puttshack. It's a mix between putt putt, arcade games and Top Golf. We were there during the week before 4 and they offered a second round at a discounted rate. I'm glad we took advantage of playing a 2nd round before we played our round in less than 20 minutes which was the only disappointing thing about our experience. We enjoyed lunch and drinks before we played. The food was fantastic and enjoyed everything we ordered. Puttshack is a new miniature golf venue in the hip spot of RiNo (River North Art District). Miniature golf spots have really stepped up their games by incorporating technology and imaginative courses. Puttshack is a great example of this. One can clearly see as soon as they enter that this place is far above and beyond most other miniature golf courses. There are multiple courses differentiated by color (Ruby, Sapphire, etc). All of them have 9 holes and take about 15-20 minutes to finish. My girlfriend and I played on the Ruby and Sapphire courses and they were equally fun. I would recommend checking this place out! The only negative aspect I would like to highlight about Puttshack is that they need to severely limit the amount of people that come in during a certain time period. We ended up playing half an hour later than our reservation time because there were so many people booked during that time. Not only that, but servers are constantly going around asking if people need more drinks. This sounds like a good idea until you realize that the party of 6 in front of you all want to look at the menu and decide what they want while you have to wait for them to order, finish their conversation, etc. every 3-4 holes. read more

Puttshack is about to be the hottest new spot in RiNo. If you haven't heard, Puttshack is an indoor mini golf experience with a full bar and restaurant. Reservations are booked online up to 2 weeks in advance for golf and dinner (if applicable). Walk-ins are also accepted. Golf is $14 a person per round. Once you arrive and check in, your party is randomly assigned one of the 4 courses (Amber, Ruby, Emerald, Sapphire). These courses are high tech! Proceed to the assigned course, choose a putter, and check in at the kiosk. The kiosk dispenses a ball assigned to your name. You place the ball at the starting spot of each hole, and it automatically knows which player is putting. Screens keep track of your score, (no paper scorecard needed!) The holes are unique. There are connect 4, trivial pursuit, true or false, basketball hoops, a cascading drum, and more. Order a drink at the bar to take on your course, or you can order drinks on the course with a QR code. There are small tables around the course to set your drink or purse. There is a cocktail menu with really neat drinks. The bar also has beers on tap, canned beer, wine, and good looking non-alcoholic cocktails. After golf is your dinner reservation. The dinner area contains plush velvet couches and chairs. I love the interior! We ordered pork bao buns to share, and split a burger with garlic fries. Everything was delicious! The menu is upscale bar food. There are a variety of appetizers, flatbread pizzas, salads, and sandwiches. Prices are reasonable at about $15-$20 a plate. During the day, golf is all ages and family friendly, but on evening weekends, it is 21+. If this is a concern, call ahead to find out the policy. I saw they can host children's birthday parties as well as adult group events. I appreciate that they have gender neutral bathrooms. Restrooms have an open area with sinks and individual stalls with doors from top to bottom. Gender, neutral bathrooms are just easier for everyone, no matter if you're queer, or providing care for family members of a different gender. We spent about $100 for 2 people on golf, drinks, and dinner, and I definitely feel like I got my money's worth. I can't wait to come back and try a different course! read more

As someone who enjoys more peace/calm when on a date night, coming here around 8 to eat and then play was perfect! We're from out of state and came here for the first time tonight. The space is quite big and fun. We ordered edamame, the skewers, and the pepperoni flatbread. The food was pretty good and came out within a good timeframe. Our server was kind and she checked in on us as well. The mini golf was so much fun! I love how it can detect your ball and that it can become competitive with the point system. There are different courses to go on but we got Ruby. Our only regret was not coming sooner in the night to get another reservation in because they end reservations around 8:30. I planned a team outing here at Puttshack for 16 people total. The process of planning was really easy and Sarah was so helpful when helping me plan. They had 3 different menus that you pay per person for your group. We went with the more expensive option. The only issue I had with that was we were only given one game to play with this option. The area designated for us was spacious enough to accommodate us all without feeling crammed. If you do an event, you are also given a host to help you throughout the night. Our host was so friendly, attentive and helpful! They explained the timeline of everything as soon as we arrived and would keep us updated on the food or game times. The food was delicious and they replenished it for an hour and kept it for us to snack on for another 30 minutes afterwards. It wasn't too busy of a night as we went on a Thursday at 6pm. We were able to use the Amber Course. I don't know how busy it was on the other courses or if you pay by course when you go in as an individual. But I skeptical because we had a big group and they still kept letting individuals on the course - which felt like it was getting more and more crowded. Not sure how it's like normally. The ball system is really advanced! Your ball is tied to your player number and can sense how many times you hit and takes you to get into the hole. Very fancy! So it was nice we didn't have to wait for everyone in the group to finish, we can keep going along the course. Overall - we had a great time! Definitely well organized for a team outing! read more

Avoid Putt Shack at all costs. This was hands-down one of the worst restaurant experiences I've ever had. We went on a Sunday, and the place was practically a ghost town--maybe three tables total. Despite being empty, the staff acted like they were running the busiest place on earth. My kids (9 years old) just wanted to play golf. Instead, we were hit with a ridiculous rule that they couldn't play without us hovering over them and that we all had to eat together at the same time. Why? No reason other than "policy." The staff was robotic, unhelpful, and completely unwilling to use common sense. I asked the manager why they couldn't adapt based on how dead the place was--he shrugged and said his "hands were tied." Translation: no initiative, no customer service, no clue. And to top it off, the so-called manager couldn't even issue a refund for the golf my wife and I didn't play. Think about that: a manager who can't process a refund. We were told to "wait until Monday for someone else." What a joke. We walked out and went to Holey Moley down the street instead--completely different experience. Friendly staff, kids had fun, no nonsense rules. Putt Shack is a disaster. The staff is clueless, the manager is powerless, and the entire place is run with zero concern for customers. The most high tech mini-golf place I've ever been too! Out of the many mini-golf places I've been too this indoor facility really changes the game! Their technological system registers a ball to each player and tracks everyone's score in real time! No more having to add everything up at the end yourself. The course felt a little short but each hole is definitely unique and some even incorporate the tracking technology into the theme. I believe there are 3 total courses in the facility so you can play multiple rounds. Our group preregistered online a few hours before and picked a time to show up. Checking in was smooth and we were assigned to a course and started to play right away. There was a little problem with the system when we started, as it wasn't recognizing or tracking our score properly. But the staff member assigned to the course was more than happy to help us out. Even the tech guy who eventually came out to help remedy the problem was super nice. After that we didn't have any more issues and had a great time. There's a dining section within the facility so we ate there after playing. All the food was really good and again our waiter was great. The facility is huge with high ceilings and big windows so it feels open and spacious. The atmosphere was also very fun and the place is colorfully decorated.
